The article analyses the psychological literature on the problem of senior pupils’ professional self-determination. The author’s theoretical and methodological position is elaborated and the results of its approbation are presented. It is shown that the available approaches can be divided into two main groups. Some researchers focus on the goal and end result of vocational self-determination, while others seek to reveal the algorithm of the process itself and/or its stages. Researchers are unanimous in their opinion that the choice of an occupation by senior pupils is the first and most responsible stage of professional self-determination for the individual as a whole. At the same time, the senior pupils’ professional self-determination concepts, which would reflect the unity of theoretical positions and methods of its study, are practically not presented in national psychology. To overcome the existing limitations, the article proposes to consider the senior pupils’ professional self-determination from the position of the activity approach as a special kind of activity with its own structure. The motivational component is the motives for choosing a career, while the operational component is the senior pupils’ professional identity status. The empirical study results of the of formation level of senior pupils’ professional self-determination are discussed on the basis of the activity methodology.

Mining enterprises are widely introducing digital technologies and automation is one of such tools. Granularity monitoring, namely, the size determination of rock mass pieces is a common operational component of the processes that extract minerals by open-pit mining. The article proposes an approach that, in addition to the lump size distribution, makes it possible to estimate the lump form distribution as well. To investigate the effectiveness of monitoring the form of blasted rock mass lumps, the authors conducted experiments in four stages related to the rock condition. They include geological occurrence, explosive crushing, trommelling, and mill crushing. The relationship between these stages is presented and the change in the lumps fragment form is traced. The present article proposes an informational and analytical model of the processes at mining enterprises, extracting minerals by open-pit mining, as well as an algorithm for determining the lumps form and obtaining their distribution in the rock mass.

This paper examines the distribution of Modern Hebrew semantic drifts across four diatheses (voices): transitives, unaccusatives (anticausatives), adjectival (stative) passives, and verbal (eventive) passives. A quantitative survey of dictionaries reveals a discrepancy between these diatheses: Only transitives, unaccusatives, and adjectival passives can give rise to unique semantic drifts, unshared with their related root counterparts, while verbal passives cannot. A corpus-based study shows that frequency is unable to account for this finding; nor can approaches demarcating a syntactic domain for special meanings. I argue that semantic drifts are stored as subentries of the entries from which they evolved, as long as the drift’s frequency remains comparably small. Once its frequency surpasses that of the original entry, the drift is stored as an independent lexical entry. In light of that, I suggest that predicates giving rise to unique semantic drifts have to constitute lexical entries. It thus follows that transitives, unaccusatives, and adjectival passives are formed and listed in the lexicon, while verbal passives are not. Consequently, the lexicon is argued to function as an active (operational) component of the grammar, contra syntacticocentric approaches.

Biobanking is an operational component of various epidemiological studies and clinical trials. Although peripheral blood is routinely acquired and stored in biobanks, the effects of specimen processing on cell composition and clinically-relevant functional markers of T cells still require a systematic evaluation. Here we assessed 25 relevant T-cell markers and showed that the detection of nine membrane markers, e.g., PD-1, CTLA4, KLRG1, CD25, CD122, CD127 and others reflecting exhaustion, senescence and other functions was reduced among at least one T-cell subset following standard processing, although the frequency of CD4, CD8 and regulatory T cells was unaffected. Nevertheless, a six-month-long cryopreservation did not impair the expression levels of many other membrane and all the eight tested intracellular lineage or functional T-cell markers. Our findings uncover that several clinically-relevant markers are particularly affected by processing and the interpretation of those results in clinical trials and translational research should be done with caution.

This article is devoted to the study of the main features and disadvantages of the operational component of thinking in children of older preschool age with mental retardation and mental retardation. Currently, there are not enough detailed comparative studies that state the features and disadvantages of the operational characteristics of thinking in children of these categories. The relevance of obtaining comparative research content is determined by the practical tasks of differential diagnosis and building the correct educational route for children. In the course of the present study, identical and distinctive characteristics in the development of operations of analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, classification and abstraction of children with ASD and mental retardation are recorded. The results obtained determine the prospects for using these data in the methodological support of preschool children in preparing for school.

The article considers one of the methods in education as a way to combine theoretical and empirical data in pedagogical research - modeling. The relevance of this topic is due to the growing interest in modeling in this area, as well as its great potential in overcoming pedagogical difficulties. The purpose of the research is to analyze modeling in pedagogical science and to create a model of creative development of schoolchildren at Arts and Crafts classes based on a multi-artistic approach. The material for the study was psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature. The study employed the method of observation and experiment. The article reveals the term “model” and considers its types; presents the conclusions of scientists on the role of modeling in the pedagogical process. The model in pedagogical study is presented in the role of scientific foresight. Thus, the author identified the main stages of developing a pedagogical model; considered the model of creative development of schoolchildren at Arts and Crafts classes based on a multi-artistic approach; described its structure, which consists of the following components: target component, content and operational component (pedagogical principles, methods and technologies, forms and means of training, criteria, indicators and levels of creative development), evaluation and performance component. The latter implies the following stages: 1) ascertaining (diagnostics and analysis of the level of development during the formation and implementation of an experimental project); 2) forming (in the process, there are being implemented both forming and developing methods of creative development of schoolchildren); 3) generalizing/controlling (evaluation of the effectiveness of the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities using questionnaires, and evaluation of the result of the formation process). The study of modeling is interconnected with a deep study of the theory and a detailed study of the essence of educational situations.

The Metropolitan City of Naples, as in the art. 1 of its Statute, aims «to restore the environment, to regenerate and reorder the urban tissue, to safeguard the common goods, guaranteeing their access, to reorganize the territorial polycentrism, overcrossing the center-periphery dichotomy and to promote the civil, social, cultural and economic development, enanching the diversities and the territorial excellences». In the Statute (at Article 35), the Metropolitan City is expected to provide coordination and general territorial planning by means of the Metropolitan Territorial Plan, consisting of a structural and an operational component, with measures of “urban equalization”. The structural component defines the vision of the territory, while the operational one programmes the actions of metropolitan interest to be implemented by the metropolitan city as well as the indications for the municipalities of the metropolitan city over a three-year period. In December 2017, the proposal for the Territorial coordination plan was adopted, which substantially recovers the Provincial Territorial Coordination Plan of 2007, repealing certain parts. The TCP of the metropolitan city of Naples is based on the redevelopment of the existing patrimony as a way of contrasting land consumption, in line with government plans. The main strategic elements of the plan, in fact, are the conservation and enhancement of the environmental, natural, cultural and landscape heritage, the adaptation of the housing supply, concentrating it only on the margins or within already established sites – densification –, and the enhancement and re-articulation of the urban system in a polycentric and reticular key. It is therefore, from this perspective, that this article seeks to elaborate a number of reflections on the possible ”future of urban rent” in the context of the metropolitan spaces of Naples, where the “potential” of the value of abandoned land in peripheral and/or peri- urban areas assumes a strategic role in the processes of regeneration and densification envisaged by the TCP. In terms of TCP operation, the principle should be to “expropriate” as little as possible, making use of the “equalization instrument” to ensure economic operators the necessary profit (an “interest in doing”).
