This research was to recognize the teachers’ role in early childhood playing activities, especially at As-Salam Kindergarten, Pekan Arba, Tembilahan. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data were collected using structured interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The informants of the research were 3 teachers, a headmaster, head of foundations, and 38 students. The data were analyzed using the data triangulation technique by the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the teachers play a vital role as designers, observers, models, facilitators, elaborators, and evaluators.

In addition, the teaching methods used by teachers have an influence on children's interest in expressing their opinions. This study aims to determine the effect of the conversing method on the speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years. The quantitative approach was carried out using an experimental method of pre-experimental design, one group pretest, and post-test design. Subjects in this study as many as 17 children, data collection techniques using the method of observation and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test formula. The results showed that the method of speaking had an effect on children's speaking skills.

Cognitive abilities include various things, one of which is the ability to recognize colors. However, the ability to recognize colors is less often ruled out by educators and parents. This can be seen from learning that pays more attention to early reading and arithmetic skills. In fact, the ability to recognize colors is a very important aspect of children's brain development. This research was conducted in order to see the role of picture and picture learning in stimulating children to recognize colors. This research is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with one group time-series test. The data obtained were analyzed using a regression test to see the effect of the treatment given. The results showed a significance value of 0.00 which was smaller than 0.05, which means the picture and picture learning model has a significant effect on the ability to recognize colors in early childhood.

Interest is a feeling of attraction or preference for something that does not appear suddenly. The success of a learning process is often seen in students who are enthusiastic about completing given tasks and doing what they love. Students’ interest in a learning process depends on the approach and the method that the teacher provides for stimulation, one of which can be done is the storytelling method. Accordingly, this study aims to find the relationship between the storytelling method and the learning interest of early childhood. This study uses a quantitative approach. Subjects in this study were 58 teachers and students. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation, then analyzed using the product-moment correlation formula. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between the storytelling method and learning interest of early childhood, as indicated by tcount ttable (25.64 > 2.00324). It means that 25.64 ³ 2.00324 then Ho is rejected, the number 25.64 lies in the rejection area, Ha is accepted.

This study aims to improve the science process skills of children aged 5-6 years through a project-based learning model. This research is a type of quasy experiment with an equivalent time series design. The research subjects consisted of 88 group children, namely children aged 5-6 years from 6 Kindergartens in Sleman Regency. Data collection was carried out using observation. Then the data were analyzed using one way ANOVA and got the sig value. 0.00, which means that there is a difference in the mean ranking of process science skills after using a project-based science learning model, so the results of this study indicate that an effective project-based science learning model is used to improve science process skills of children aged 5-6 years.

Understanding the concept of numeral symbols in early childhood is fundamental to understanding mathematical concepts in the future. In view of that, children aged 4-5 years found many problems such as unable to distinguish the form of number symbols, unappropriated learning strategies, and monotonous learning activities. This study aimed to: (1) develop the learning strategies using number circuit games to introduce numeral symbols for 4-5-year-old-children; (2) assess the effectiveness of implementing number circuit games as the learning strategies introducing numeral symbols for 4-5-year-old children. ADDIE with five stages – namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation – was adopted in this research. The data were analyzed descriptively through qualitative and quantitative techniques. The evidence revealed that: (1) the introduction of numeral symbols for 4-5-year-old children by memorizing and understandings required the implementation of game-based learning strategies; (2) number circuit games which were modified based on the material, the implementation, and the purpose were suitable for children of 4-5 years old; (3) learning strategies using number circuit games to introduce numeral symbols for children of 4-5 year with p-value. Sig 0.000 < 0.05 had revealed that there were significant differences in children’s ability in identifying the numeral symbols.

Communication is an important requirement in order to adapt to the broad social environment in the 21st century. One of the efforts made is the use of two languages (bilingual) in everyday life. However, parents unconsciously put children into a world with language development tasks that are more complex than the competencies that children should have. This of course will affect social development and children's ability to interact with the environment. This study analyzes the use of bilinguals in terms of children's social competence and social behavior. The research method uses literature studies by analyzing 20 books and scientific articles related to bilingualism and children's social development. The data analysis technique used content analysis related to the phenomena, causes and effects of social development in children using bilinguals. The results of the analysis show that the use of bilingual children has a positive and negative side to the child's social development. The positive thing is that bilingual children can easily adapt outside their social environment as a means of communication. There will be a sense of pride in the child because he can master more than one language. But the negative thing is, some of the bilingual children will find it difficult to understand new concepts in a different language, so they often feel depressed. In addition, there is a gap between children and their social environment.
