The problem of this research was to find out whether or not it is significantly effective to improve reading comprehension through Concept Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) Strategy to the Eighth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 13 Lubuklinggau in the academic year 2016/2017. The strategy applied was pre experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design.. The sample was taken through cluster random sampling. The result was VIII.2 class with the total number of 28 students. The data were collected through test consisted of 25 items of multiple choices. The data were analyzed through four techniques: 1) Students’ Individual Score, 2) Minimum Mastery Criteria, 3) Normality and 4) Paired t-test calculation. The result of this study: (1) The mean students’ score in the pre-test was 64.00, (2) The mean score of post-test was 76.00 and (3) the result of paired t-test was 11.43, which was higher than 1.703 value of the t-table of 27 (28-1) with 95% significant level for one tailed-test. In this research the researcher formulated two hypotheses. They were null hypothesis (Ho) and alternative hypothesis (Ha). Based on the result of the paired t-test calculation showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It meant that it was significantly effective to Teach Reading Comprehension through Concept Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) Strategy to the Eighth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 13 Lubuklinggau in the academic year of 2016/2017

This research attempted to investigate whether teaching strategies significantly affect the students’ motivation in writing and the problems which students face during the implementation the strategies. The strategies were RAFT (Role, Audience, Format, and Topic) and Climbing and Diving. This research deals with the experimental research design. The population of this study was the students of the first year of Intensive language learning programme IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The instruments used were questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire sheet was designed with Likert scale. Through t-test calculation it was found RAFT strategy significantly affect the students’ motivation in writing. It also found that Climbing and Diving strategy significantly affect the students’ motivation in writing. The problems which students face during the implementation of RAFT and Climbing and Diving strategies in writing expository are: a. RAFT does not provide enough; b. RAFT strategy only helps students to pass choosing topic and drafting which are parts of pre-writing; c. Climbing and Diving strategy does not always give students enough time to write the drafts because of the limited time; d. Students may lose control in writing because the is no certain pattern of this strategy.

Motivation learn is the effort someone cadets to provide all energy condition to learn so that he will or wish process study. Lecturer play a part good enough important in the plan and also curriculum execution. Beside that lecturer is planner, curriculum developer and executor to its class, because lecturer also curriculum developer line which is terdepan hence lecturer also which always evaluate and completion to curriculum. From result of calculation with t test above it can be interpreted that cadet motivation / (X1), t value obtained is 17,264 and its significance value is 0.000, this value is smaller than = 0,05,Lecturer competence / (X2), t arithmetic value obtained is 14.255 and the significance value is 0,000, this value is smaller than  = 0,05meaning that cadet motivation (X1) and lecturer competence (X2) are partially significant to achievement learning cadets (Y) atAviation Polytechnic of Surabaya. The result of F Test calculation done with the help of SPSS program obtained F value counted 298,095. The significance value obtained is 0.000, the value of significance is smaller than the value of that is 0.05, meaning that cadet motivation (X1) and lecturer competence (X2) together significantly affect achievement learning cadets (Y) atAviation Polytechnic of Surabaya. The result of SPSS practice on standardized regression coefficient (β) or Standardized of Coefficients Beta, it is known that variable X2 that is cadet motivation has standardized coefficient of standard (β) or Standardized of Coefficients Beta is 2,542 compare with other independent variable variable X2 that is taruna motivation is independent variable that dominant influence dependent variable that isachievement learning cadets (Y) atAviation Polytechnic of Surabaya.

The objective of research was to reveal: (1) the learning outcome of students in experiment class, (2) the learning outcome of students in control class, (3) the effect of lectora inspire-based interactive learning media on the learning outcome of students. This study was a quasi-experiment research with Pretest-Posttest Control Design with students of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta being the subject of research. The instruments used in this research were questionnaire and test. The result of research showed that: (1) the learning outcome for experiment class indicated mean posttest value of 84.53, (2) the learning outcome for control class indicated mean posttest value of 71.73, and (3) there was an effect of Lectora Inspire-based interactive learning media on the learning outcome of students, as can be seen from the result of t-test calculation with t statistic 0,000< t table 0.05. The conclusion of research was that there was a difference of effect of lectora inspire-based interactive learning media application on the learning outcome of students between control and experiment classes.

This study aims to determine the effect of variable marketing mix consisting of product (X1), price (X2), location (X3), and promotion (X4) and the variable sharia (X5) against the decision to become customers of BMT Sahara Tulungagung. The sample in this study was 100 respondents customers financing . Data processing techniques of customer savings and customer data analysis using multiple linear regression with F test and t test. As for testing the instrument using validity, reliability test and classical assumption. The results showed that simultaneous product variable (X1), price (X2), location (X3), promotion (X4) and variable sharia (X5) significantly influence the decision to become customers of BMT Sahara Tulungagung (Y). While based on the t test calculation only partially known that the price variable (X2) and promotion (X4) which have a significant effect on the dependent variable.

<p>This study is directed to find out whether teaching critical thinking affects the writing ability of argumentative essay. This research employed quasi experimental design as it was intended to measure the effects of the strategy on the students’ ability in writing argumentative essay. The samples of the study were the students of class A and B enrolled in the seventh semester of the English Education Department of State Islamic College of Palangka Raya. To collect the data needed, it was used test as the instrument; it was Academic Writing for IELTS Test. The data were processed and analyzed by using SPSS 19.0 statistic technique of independent t-test and paired-sample t-test, and the analized data were concluded. From the result of the test, the independent t-test calculation in posttest scores in both groups shows that the significance value is higher than level of significance (0.194 &gt; 0.05). It indicates that there is no significant difference between experimental and control groups. Moreover, the paired t-test calculation shows the result of paired sample test (0.000 &lt; 0.05) in which there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in experimental group after having treatments.</p><p><strong></strong><em><br /></em></p>

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was intended to develop supplementary reading material based on genre text for students in the tenth grade of Senior High School in order to help the learners in comprehending and interesting to study about Islamic story. This research was conducted by validation product by the experts, and try out. This research showed that the validation product by the experts showed 80% the product was appropriate, and the try out by the students were more than expected interval (l00%-76%). To find out whether the effective of the product, the writer gives the students pretest before implementing the product and posttest after implementing. The finding shows that the t-test calculation from the result of pre-test is 23% and post-test which on  is 80,7%. The result of this study concluded that the product was effective to use.

This Main problem in this research that is about how execution of study model of tutor coeval on sub subjek of rectangular in SMP Negeri 20 Kupang city academic year 2017 / 2018.  The purpose this research is to know implementation of learning and the effect of learning model tutor coeval to achievement learn mathematics student’s on sub subjek of rectangular in SMP Negeri 20 Kupang city academic year 2017 / 2018.This research was conducted on VII grade student’s SMP Negeri 20 Kupang city which amounted  to 30 students selected randomly from 5 classes available.The instrument used in thes research are observation ,interview and achievement tes learn much as 30 problem item in from of double helix.Data analysis technique used in this research that is result of observation .result of interview,achievement of indicator and t-test. Based on the results of observation , result of interview,achievement of indicators,obtained achievement learn mathematics student are very good. While based on t-test calculation shows t count= 16,417 and the table = 2,045 at significance level 5% which means t count > t table, then Ho rejected Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use learnig model of tutor coeval.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pop up book terhadap rasa nasionalisme siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar di SDN Palumbonsari III. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa SDN Palumbonsari III. Dengan mengambil sampel 1 kelas sebanyak 20 siswa. Hasil dari uji validitas angket nasionalisme pada mata pelajaran IPS diperoleh 20 butir instrumen yang dinyatakan valid dari 35 butir instrumen yang diujicobakan. Hasil dari uji reabilitas diperoleh rıı sebesar 0,906. Teknik pengumulan data melalui angket nasionalisme pada mata pelajaran IPS. Teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis dilakukan dengan perhitungan statiska menggunakan uji-t. Hasil pengujian hipotesis, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikasi antara media pop up book pada nasionalisme siswa. Hal ini diperoh hasil rata-rata pretest sebesar 14,20 dan hasil posttest sebesar 15,35. Pada perhitungan T-test didapatkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang artinya nilai 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05, menunjukan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima. Berdasarkan penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media pop up book terdapat nasionalisme siswa. Kata kunci : Media Pop Up Book , Nasionalisme, IPS This study aims to determine the effect of using pop up book media on the sense of nationalism of fourth grade elementary school students at SDN Palumbonsari III. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population used in this study were all students of SDN Palumbonsari III. By taking a sample of 1 class as many as 20 students. The results of the test of the validity of the nationalism questionnaire on social studies subjects obtained 20 items which were declared valid from the 35 items tested. The results of the reliability test obtained rıı of 0.906. Techniques for collecting data through nationalism questionnaires on social studies subjects. The data analysis technique to test the hypothesis is carried out by statistical calculations using the t-test. The results of hypothesis testing, there is a significant influence between pop up book media on student nationalism. This is obtained by the average pretest result of 14.20 and the posttest result of 15.35. In the T-test calculation, the sig value is obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which means the value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, indicating that the hypothesis Ha is accepted. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterampilan menulis siswa rendah dan tidak adanya media pembelajaran yang bersifat praktik langsung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan, dan menguji keefektifan media ular tangga berbantuan flashcard pada materi menulis deskripsi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Mangkang Kulon 02 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji-t, dan n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media ular tangga berbantuan flashcard dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran berdasarkan persentase ahli media dan ahli materi berturut-turut sebesar 94% dan 97%, dengan kategori sangat layak. Pada ujicoba pemakaian produk, hasil perhitungan uji t memperoleh thitung>ttabel yaitu 10,23>2,011. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan uji n-gain memperoleh nilai gain sebesar 0,562, dengan kriteria sedang. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah media ular tangga berbantuan flashcard layak dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas IV.   This study was motivated by the low writing learning outcames and the absence of direct practice learning media. This research is a type of research and development. This research aimed to develop, to test feasibility, and to test the effectiveness of snake and ladder media assisted on flashcard on the writes descriptions material. The subject of this research is the four grade students of SDN Mangkang Kulon 02 with a total of 34 students. The data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentations. The processed data using lilliefors test, t test, and gain test. The results showed that snake and ladder media assisted on flashcard could be used in learning based on the percentage of media and material experts is 94% and 97% with a very decent category. In the use of product tests shows the results of the calculation of the t test obtained tcount>ttable is 10.23>2.011. While the results of the n-gain test calculation 0.562 with medium criteria. The conclusion of this research is that snake and ladder media assisted on flashcard is feasible to use and is effective in improving the skills of writing indonesian descriptions in four grade.
