The aim of the work is to identify the functionality required by mobile messengers for convenient online communication between pupils and high school students. To achieve this aim, a survey of 116 questions was developed, which adjusted to the respondent’s answers and reduced its volume in order to avoid the respondents’ fatigue and to decrease the time spent on completing the survey. An online survey of students aged 16 to 24 living in different cities of the Russian Federation was carried out. Then the information obtained was processed, and possible relations between the analysis results were found. Based on the study results, recommendations were formed to improve messengers according to the students- users’ goals and objectives. Now messengers are created mainly for the widespread use. There are already more than a hundred of them, and therefore products need to stand out in order to be competitive. One of the ways to excel is to be narrowly focused, tailored to a specific audience. Since the functionality of the messenger directly affects its popularity, the introduction and refinement of the necessary functions will have a positive effect on the number of users. The analysis shows that developers of instant messengers can improve the efficiency of using messengers by the students and, possibly, reduce the number of installed mobile applications on their devices, and, consequently, decrease the number of competitors for their target audience.

Learning through interactive media gives additional value to the educational world because it enables learners to represent themselves. Game-based learning promotes learners’ creativity, critical thinking and cognitive skills related to technology use. Previous research discovered that game-based learning has a positive effect on learners. Therefore, in this research, an applied study was conducted on the use of the E-CrowdWar educational game with high school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using games in learning to improve student learning outcomes. The study was conducted with 100 high school students in Blitar and 100 in Kediri. E-CrowdWar was used during the classroom activities along with in-class learning. An independent sample t-test was used to measure the effectiveness of game-based learning. The integration of games into online learning had a significantly positive effect on student learning outcomes. The pre-test results showed that the average student learning outcome score in both cities was the same, namely 65 points. After implementing game-based learning, student learning outcomes in Kediri increased to 90.74 points and in Blitar to 86.95 points. The study discovered that game-based learning through E-CrowdWar was effective in promoting the students’ academic outcomes, although there were differences in the mean score. Based on the results, game-based learning provides tremendous improvements in learning outcomes and so should be applied, especially in the economic field. Self-perception of academic ability is outlook that students have about their abilities in terms of learning activities or in completing school assignments. One of the reasons for the importance of self-perception of academic ability is to be a factor that can motivate students in learning activities. This study aims to determine whether self-perception of academic ability is predicted by the role of student burnout and student engagement. This study was conducted using convenience sampling on high school students during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The number of participants was 96 Tangerang City Senior High School students, aged 16 to 18 years. This study uses the School Attitude Assessment Survey-Revised to measure self-perception of academic ability, the Burnout Inventory to measure student burnout and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 to measure student engagement. Based on the test results using the multiple regression method, it was found that self-perception of academic ability was predicted significantly by student burnout (β = -0.242) and student engagement (β = 0.564). With the results of this study, it is hoped that educators can anticipate learning activities to foster student engagement. With higher student engagement, students' self-perception of academic ability will be more positive. For students, the results of this study are expected as initial information to be more aware of the burnout conditions experienced. Burnout conditions can predict students' view of academic ability to be negative. Jumlah partisipan sebesar 96 siswa SMA Kota Tangerang, berusia 16 hingga 18 tahun.

Dance sport, like other sports belongs to the aesthetic and coordinating sports; with high demands of nearly all motoric skills. They require mainly the ability to coordinate, which is often the limiting factor of performance in dance sport. Due to the fact that dance is synonymous with music and closely associated with the rhythmic capabilities, we will focus further on detailed characteristics of the two rhythmic abilities: rhythmic perception and rhythmic execution. The research sample consisted of 153 test subjects in the age range 17-34 years. The experimental group consists of 104 dancers (53 women and 51 men). The control group consisted of 49 high school students. To examine the level of rhythmic perception, we used a test called rhythmic discrimination. To examine the level of rhythmic execution, we used a test called rhythmic drumming. We proved that dance sport has a positive effect on the level of our selected rhythmic ability, the longer the subjects danced, the better the results achieved in tests. We were unable to prove a statistically significant relationship between rhythmic perception and implementation.

Rabies is one of strategic infectious animal diseases that attacks the central nervous system. Rabies is very widespread and is found in nearly 150 countries and regions on all continents, except Antarctica. Although West Nusa Tenggara is one of the nine provinces in Indonesia that is free of rabies, the number of dog bite victims reported on the island of Sumbawa with 32 samples of rabies-carrying animal brains identified as positive in early 2019 indicates the need to increase awareness of rabies transmission to Lombok Island. Increasing public knowledge which includes parents and students at primary school, elementary school and high school about rabies through surveys, counseling and demonstration is one of the efforts to prevent and control rabies. The results showed that the extension activities were able to increase participants' knowledge. High school students had the best level of knowledge (97.5% ± 2.08) when compared to the elementary school participants (93% ± 3.56) and elderly respondents (88.75% ± 4.79) of all indicators of knowledge about rabies. The combination of extension activities with hands-on practice has had a positive effect on increasing public knowledge about rabies

ABSTRACTMore than 50 high school students each year learn how to conduct science research at the Garcia Summer Scholars Program at Stony Brook University through hands-on, inquiry-based methods. Started in 1998, the program has already provided hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds a unique opportunity for outstanding scientific performance and achievement. In this paper, we present a brief overview of how the program operates as well as several case studies that display the effect of the Garcia Program on student accomplishment. The evidence provided demonstrates that the Garcia Program has had an overwhelmingly positive effect on its many student participants, regardless of their background or socio-economic status.
