AbstractIdentifying the portions of trajectory data where movement ends and a significant stop starts is a basic, yet fundamental task that can affect the quality of any mobility analytics process. Most of the many existing solutions adopted by researchers and practitioners are simply based on fixed spatial and temporal thresholds stating when the moving object remained still for a significant amount of time, yet such thresholds remain as static parameters for the user to guess. In this work we study the trajectory segmentation from a multi-granularity perspective, looking for a better understanding of the problem and for an automatic, user-adaptive and essentially parameter-free solution that flexibly adjusts the segmentation criteria to the specific user under study and to the geographical areas they traverse. Experiments over real data, and comparison against simple and state-of-the-art competitors show that the flexibility of the proposed methods has a positive impact on results.

The adaptive Goldstein filter driven by InSAR coherence is one of the most famous frequency domain-based filters and has been widely used to improve the quality of InSAR measurement with different noise features. However, the filtering power is biased to varying degrees due to the biased coherence estimator and empirical modelling of the filtering power under a given coherence level. This leads to under- or over-estimation of phase noise over the entire dataset. Here, the authors present a method to correct filtering power on the basis of the second kind statistical coherence estimator. In contrast with regular statistics, the new estimator has smaller bias and variance values, and therefore provides more accurate coherence observations. In addition, a piece-wise function model determined from the Monte Carlo simulation is used to compensate for the nonlinear relationship between the filtering parameter and coherence. This method was tested on both synthetic and real data sets and the results were compared against those derived from other state-of-the-art filters. The better performance of the new filter for edge preservation and residue reduction demonstrates the value of this method.

Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months is a global strategies to promote the growth, development, health and survival of infants. Despite the many benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for infants, mothers, families and communities, the coverage is still low in many countries including Indonesia. Mother's milk is produced from the collaboration between mechanical stimulation of hormonal and nerve factors. One of the hormones that affects is the estrogen. The hormone estrogen is a sex hormone produced by the uterus to stimulate the growth of sex organs such as breasts and pubic hair and regulate the menstrual cycle. The hormone estrogen also plays a role to maintain the texture and function of the breast. Pregnancy in a woman, making the breast gland will be more developed by the influence of estrogen, somatomamotropin and prolactin hormones. The process is affected by the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Estrogen significantly stimulates the synthesis and release of pituitary hormone, this effect depends on the duration and dose of administration. In Indonesia, moringa plant is a local food that has the potential to be developed in culinary breastfeeding mothers because it contains phytosterol compounds that function to improve and facilitate the production of breast milk (laktogogum effect). This paper will discuss some of the facts about the effect of Moringaoleifera extract on prolactin levels in increasing the quantity and quality of breast milk in the breastfeeding process. The amount of nutrients in the Moringa leaf (Moringaoleifera) one such as phytosterol compounds (laktogogum effect) in increasing levels of pituitary hormone and iron hormones can have a positive impact on the health of the baby because breast milk is the most important and best natural baby food.

Nurses have various competencies that must be mastered in providing nursing care to patients. Nurses' competencies are very broad, covering professional, ethical, legal, cultural-sensitive practices, providing care, nursing care management, developing personal and professional qualities. Clinical supervision is an important requirement for monitoring the application of nurse competencies, so that satisfactory performance can be created. The performance of nurses who have not reached the standards set by the RI Ministry of Health, can result in actions that are not in accordance with the SOP, poor in providing nursing services, causing injury, loss, even complaints from patients and the public. These events can lead to a decrease in the quality of health services and a decrease in the level of public trust in the nursing profession. Therefore it is necessary to have the right solution to maintain service quality. This study aims to determine the effect of clinical supervision on improving nurse competency. This research uses sistematic review method through database disbursement, scanning, and screening 8 articles from 90 articles obtained. The results showed that there were differences in nursing services, indicated by an increase in nurses 'competencies which had an effect on nurses' performance. Nurse performance is influenced by internal factors which include compliance with nursing documentation and compliance with five-moment hand washing. While external factors include a decrease in burnout, an increase in the work environment, and a reduced risk of falling. From various journals, it was shown that clinical superfissions can have a positive impact on the performance of nurses both internally and externally. The many positive effects of clinical supervision in hospitals can be a reference for clinical supervision to continue at the hospital. The existence of clinical supervision carried out appropriately is expected that nursing care activities can continue to be increased according to nurses' competencies. Keywords: Clinical supervision, nurses, nurse competencies, nurse performance

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam which has a function of faith, social and economic functions. Muslims who can pay zakat are required to give at least 2.5 per cent of their wealth. The problem of poverty prevalent in disadvantaged regions because of the difficulty of access to information and communication led to a gap that is so high in wealth and resources. The instrument of zakat provides a paradigm in the achievement of equitable wealth distribution and healthy circulation. Zakat potentially offers a better life and improves the quality of human being. There is a human quality improvement not only in economic terms but also in spiritual terms such as improving religiousity. This study aims to examine the role of zakat to alleviate humanitarian issues in disadvantaged regions such as Sijunjung, one of zakat beneficiaries and impoverished areas in Indonesia. The researcher attempted a Cibest method to capture the impact of zakat beneficiaries before and after becoming a member of Zakat Community Development (ZCD) Program in material and spiritual value. The overall analysis shows that zakat has a positive impact on disadvantaged regions development and enhance the quality of life of the community. There is an improvement in the average of mustahik household incomes after becoming a member of ZCD Program. Cibest model demonstrates that material, spiritual, and absolute poverty index decreased by 10, 5, and 6 per cent. Meanwhile, the welfare index is increased by 21 per cent. These findings have significant implications for developing the quality of life in disadvantaged regions in Sijunjung. Therefore, zakat is one of the instruments to change the status of disadvantaged areas to be equivalent to other areas.

Heart failure (HF) affects more than 5 million people and has an increasing incidence and cost burden. Patients note symptoms of dyspnea and fatigue that result in a decreased quality of life, which has not drastically improved over the past decades despite advances in therapies. The assessment of exercise capacity can provide information regarding patient diagnosis and prognosis, while doubling as a potential future therapy. clinically, there is acceptance that exercise is safe in hf and can have a positive impact on morbidity and quality of life, although evidence for improvement in mortality is still lacking. specific prescriptions for exercise training have not been developed because many variables and confounding factors have prevented research trials from demonstrating an ideal regimen. Physicians are becoming more aware of the indices and goals for hf patients in exercise testing and therapy to provide comprehensive cardiac care. it is further postulated that a combination of exercise training and pharmacologic therapy may eventually provide the most benefits to those suffering from hf.

The first flush phenomenon of urban wet weather discharges is presently a controversial subject. Scientists do not agree with its reality, nor with its influences on the size of treatment works. Those disagreements mainly result from the unclear definition of the phenomenon. The objective of this article is first to provide a simple and clear definition of the first flush and then to apply it to real data and to obtain results about its appearance frequency. The data originate from the French database based on the quality of urban wet weather discharges. We use 80 events from 7 separately sewered basins, and 117 events from 7 combined sewered basins. The main result is that the first flush phenomenon is very scarce, anyway too scarce to be used to elaborate a treatment strategy against pollution generated by urban wet weather discharges.

: Latent fingerprints are unintentional finger skin impressions left as ridge patterns at crime scenes. A major challenge in latent fingerprint forensics is the poor quality of the lifted image from the crime scene. Forensics investigators are in permanent search of novel outbreaks of the effective technologies to capture and process low quality image. The accuracy of the results depends upon the quality of the image captured in the beginning, metrics used to assess the quality and thereafter level of enhancement required. The low quality of the image collected by low quality scanners, unstructured background noise, poor ridge quality, overlapping structured noise result in detection of false minutiae and hence reduce the recognition rate. Traditionally, Image segmentation and enhancement is partially done manually using help of highly skilled experts. Using automated systems for this work, differently challenging quality of images can be investigated faster. This survey amplifies the comparative study of various segmentation techniques available for latent fingerprint forensics.

This chapter describes some of the many pitfalls that may be encountered when developing the calorimeter system for a particle physics experiment. Several of the examples chosen for this chapter are based on the author’s own experience. Typically, the performance of a new calorimeter is tested in a particle beam provided by an accelerator. The potential pitfalls encountered in correctly assessing this performance both concern the analysis and the interpretation of the data collected in such tests. The analysis should be carried out with unbiased event samples. Several consequences of violating this principle are illustrated with practical examples. For the interpretation of the results, it is very important to realize that the conditions in a testbeam are fundamentally different than in practice. This has consequences for the meaning of the term “energy resolution”. It is shown that the way in which the results of beam tests are quoted may create a misleading impression of the quality of the tested instrument.

Abstract Background Three-way data started to gain popularity due to their increasing capacity to describe inherently multivariate and temporal events, such as biological responses, social interactions along time, urban dynamics, or complex geophysical phenomena. Triclustering, subspace clustering of three-way data, enables the discovery of patterns corresponding to data subspaces (triclusters) with values correlated across the three dimensions (observations $$\times$$ × features $$\times$$ × contexts). With increasing number of algorithms being proposed, effectively comparing them with state-of-the-art algorithms is paramount. These comparisons are usually performed using real data, without a known ground-truth, thus limiting the assessments. In this context, we propose a synthetic data generator, G-Tric, allowing the creation of synthetic datasets with configurable properties and the possibility to plant triclusters. The generator is prepared to create datasets resembling real 3-way data from biomedical and social data domains, with the additional advantage of further providing the ground truth (triclustering solution) as output. Results G-Tric can replicate real-world datasets and create new ones that match researchers needs across several properties, including data type (numeric or symbolic), dimensions, and background distribution. Users can tune the patterns and structure that characterize the planted triclusters (subspaces) and how they interact (overlapping). Data quality can also be controlled, by defining the amount of missing, noise or errors. Furthermore, a benchmark of datasets resembling real data is made available, together with the corresponding triclustering solutions (planted triclusters) and generating parameters. Conclusions Triclustering evaluation using G-Tric provides the possibility to combine both intrinsic and extrinsic metrics to compare solutions that produce more reliable analyses. A set of predefined datasets, mimicking widely used three-way data and exploring crucial properties was generated and made available, highlighting G-Tric’s potential to advance triclustering state-of-the-art by easing the process of evaluating the quality of new triclustering approaches.
