Few educational institutions have well maintained microscopes that facilitate the experience intended by the creators of their teaching texts. The cost of putting a high quality selection of the different types of microscopes at every educational institution for access by all students is prohibitive. The advent of the Internet and the rapid proliferation of computers at educational institutions offer the prospect for dramatic improvements in microscopy education. We present an Internet based digital microscopy system with unique features for education. We have developed a unified architecture for management and transmission of live and stored microscope data over the Internet. The system consists of a combination of software and hardware. The hardware includes a microscope with a motorized stage, focus, and optionally a motorized nosepiece. Standard off the shelf components for each of the items can be used so that the user is afforded great flexibility in utilizing available hardware. Image acquisition is done by attaching a video camera to the microscope. Both analog and digital video cameras are supported, although it should be noted that users have experienced outstanding results with relatively inexpensive analog cameras.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a valuable tool for the process and petroleum industries. CFD reduces development timescales and costs by replacing expensive and lengthy laboratory investigation with numerical predictions of processes. However, there are several reasons why some companies are unwilling to use CFD. These include the cost of the software and hardware, the need for in-house CFD expertise and the time required to solve complex simulations. CHAM has developed a solution to these problems, in the form of a Virtual Reality Interface linked via the Internet to powerful parallel-processor computers. Virtual reality makes CFD accessible to non-CFD experts and allows the engineer to concentrate on the solution of his problem. Remote computing makes it possible to access from a PC the necessary computing power to solve the problem. Several examples will be shown, demonstrating the application and benefits of the PHOENICS-VR interface and the advantages of remote computing to the process and petroleum industries.

One of the most important elements of the management system of an educational institution is the accounting of income and expenses for educational programs (OP) and the calculation of the cost of educational and other services. Modern educational institutions are tasked with improving the quality of educational services and increasing their effectiveness. To solve it, the boundaries of their financial and economic independence are expanded. Currently, universities are changing their form of ownership and can be non-profit societies. The change in the system of financing universities involves the development of new mechanisms for managing an educational institution. In these conditions, it becomes inevitable to create and master new accounting systems in educational institutions, which are aimed at ensuring the tasks of effective management of the university. First of all, this applies to the management accounting system. The cost of services rendered is the sum of the university's expenses in monetary form for the implementation of educational and other services. Expanding the financial independence of universities involves the formation of reliable information about the income and expenses of the university in order to manage them. The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of accounting for income and expenses in educational institutions. The implementation of the research goal is facilitated by the use of methods of comparative analysis, synthesis, and graphical method for visualizing the results obtained. The development of the system of management accounting of income and expenses in educational institutions is focused on the formation of an effective system of information and analytical support, which involves the development of methods for accounting of income and expenses, the organization of the system of internal control of income and expenses, determining the features of management reporting of income and expenses. A methodology for income accounting has been developed that reflects the specifics of the activities of educational institutions, combines the calculation of the main income indicators, their reflection on accounts and in the registers of management accounting, and allows you to form the actual indicators of income and expenses. The optimal method of management accounting of expenses is justified, within the framework of which the classification features of the grouping of expenses are proposed, the order of consolidated accounting and the formation of management accounting registers is determined. The method of accounting for expenses will allow you to specify the directions of expenses in the context of activities, sources of funding, structural divisions, individual programs and activities.

Kata kunci: karet, buka sadap, penundaan Abstract Currently, agribusiness of rubber is experiencing unfavorable condition. This is due to the declining of rubber price in the last few years as well as increasing of cost of production especially the cost of tapping. An effort that could be done was by delaying the opening of rubber. This paper examines the delay in opening of rubber with two approaches, i.e. delaying of rubber opening by changing the criteria of tree maturity for tapping  from 45 cm to 50 cm; and delaying of rubber opening by changing the criteria for the percentage of mature tree. Analysis was conducted using the data of Lukman (1979;1980), Samuel et al. (2012), Hendratno and Amypalupy (2008), and Nugraha et al. (2015). The results showed that the delay of opening by changing the girth of 45 cm to 50 cm could increase productivity per tapper. Delaying of opening until reaching the girth of 50 cm will be economical with the selection of clones that have high initial productivity. To delay opening from the girth of 45 cm to 50 cm took 6-12 months depending on the density of the plants and clones. Criteria of field tapping maturity to suit different types of clones and price changes are still economically viable. A broader study on the delaying of rubber opening was needed. Keywords: rubber, opening, delaying

The development of the Covid-19 outbreak has indeed had a major impact on all sides of human life, including in the world of education. The world of education seems to make the house an educational institution that can replace formal educational institutions. Learning using the internet network or so-called brave learning (online). Brave learning may be new to some teachers, but maybe some already consider it familiar. The purpose of this study was to find out about the Variety of Alternative Psychomotor-based PAI Learning Media During Covid-19 at MA Preparation 4 Medan. The results obtained from this research are learning that can be done in any condition, but of course the results will not be optimal learning that is done face-to-face in the classroom. To optimize it, of course many are done by teachers. Especially in the PAI subject, several innovations have been made to optimize learning outcomes, namely: 1) Innovations such as presenting learning with multimedia, 2) Online-based discussions and assignments. Teaching also has obstacles in its application, especially in the MA preparatory 4-field country, some of these obstacles: 1) Signal interference that cannot be avoided. 2) Lack of parental and teacher cooperation in managing courageous learning. 3) Limited costs make students reluctant to take bold lessons.

This article deals with the reproduction of knowledge within the Saudi-Wahhabi educational institution named LIPIA in Jakarta. Contrary to many studies which tend to see this institution as a monolithic entity, this article argues its knowledge reproduction is diverse as a result of different actors and the social contexts involved in the process. Besides students with modernist and traditionalist backgrounds are present in the institution, the Tablighis and the Salafis are also involved, shaping the reproduction of knowledge are more complex than expected. Each group of students are trying to influence the circumnstances they live in resulting in the diversity of knowledge. Furthermore, despite the Saudi state imposes certain subjects and disciplines to be followed by students, students have their own ways of shaping their knowledge. While in-campus program is well-organized, out-campus life is hardly ever to control as students develop their own network and socialization. Students are exposed to different types of Indonesian larger social contexts.
