The paper considers a software-modelling structure for solving the problem of crushing of solid materials, mountain mineral raw materials of different strength and composition. The task is to study the movement of a piece along the crushing chamber of a cone crusher, the stages of destruction of pieces are considered. Setting the main parameters of the FCC, the working process of the crusher and the parameters of the destruction of pieces in the crushing chamber. The study of the basic characteristics of the movement process, the interaction and destruction of pieces is the main aspect of the work process. More precisely, the issues were examined, on the basis of which the dependencies were compiled, which are used in the algorithm of the model of the working process of FCC at the beginning of the cycle of the mode of movement. One of the processes considered in the article is squeezing a piece between the armors with a subsequent decrease in the distance between the armors.

ABSTRACT Objectives: To reflect on the scope of the working process in nurse participation political activities as a possibility for expanding its performance. Methods: this is a reflective study, supported by the discursive elaboration on the nursing participation political activities and work process, structured through concepts, theoretical perspectives and practices based on the experiences described in references. Results: studies on this process demonstrate that nurses need sensitivity to understand the complexity of their social practice. Final Considerations: in their professional actions, nurses must mobilize political resources, making their knowledge, skills and attitudes available to their practices, aiming at power and improvement of conditions for the work of Nursing.

Slow pyrolysis of solid materials can produce new materials usable for energy or chemical industry. The advantage of pyrolysis devices is the simple construction and process control and the ability to utilize materials with different properties (composition, ash content). Produced gaseous, liquid and solid materials could be used as a sources of energy, raw materials in chemical industry or substances for improving of soil properties. At article are described products of slow pyrolysis of biomass (wood chips), agrifuels (hay, wheat straw) and sewage sludge.

This work deals with the basic research and development of new technologies of cement-based invert grouting, in the recipe of which the appropriately selected secondary raw materials will be used as much as possible. This new grout will be part of a new comprehensive system for the remediation of chemically exposed building structures, such as sewers, silage pits and wastewater treatment plants. The aim of this work is to monitor the influence of the method and the degree of homogenization of the developed recipes on selected physical-mechanical properties of the injection material. For the needs of this work, several basic recipes were proposed, as well as the methodology of production of test specimens, their storage and testing. At the same time, three homogenization methods were chosen, differing in the manner and degree of implementation. The basic characteristics of grouting materials, which were monitored in this work, include the viscosity and processability of fresh material. Due to the requirement for increased resistance of the new material, the compressive strength and absorbency of the hardened test specimens 40 × 40 × 160 mm were monitored depending on the maturation time. The research results so far show that thorough homogenization has a fundamental effect on achieving the required physical-mechanical properties. The final methodology of homogenization of dry components will be used in the pre-preparation of all materials of the new chemically resistant remediation system, including the sprayed mixture.

This is a qualitative study using Grounded Theory as the methodological reference and the Process of Work in Nursing as the theoretical reference in order to understand the role assumed by nurses regarding hospital norms and routines applied to family visitors and companions of adult and elderly patients in a teaching hospital. Data analysis identified the theme: defining the modality of family support during hospitalization. This theme aggregates two main categories: becoming the family visitor and becoming the family companion. Through the analysis, it could be observed how established rules, which aims at disciplining and developing an efficient work in the hospital, can expose the lack of autonomy in the work process to modify relations in this context and how the familiar appropriation, as part of the health team, is far from being considered in the institutions.

Screw conveyor is widely used in food packaging field. This paper puts forward a new kind of flexible blades of screw conveyor, to replace the traditional rigid helical blade. Based on the theory of compliant mechanism, the motion are analyzed when the flexible screw blade works. Based on the medium mechanics theory related, The interaction between flexible screw and material relations are analyzed, and the mathematical model of power consumption and transmission capacity are established. The work process of flexible screw working process is simulated with discrete element software EDEM. The result verified the theory is correct.

Abstract Based on historic documents, two lime-based paint formulations were produced in laboratory in order to evaluate their basic characteristics as restoration materials for historic buildings with lime-based components. The paints were made basically with hydrated lime, clay, water and linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) oil, and one formulation had PVA (polyvinyl acetate)-based glue as fixative, and the other one, Couma guianensis' latex. Each paint component was characterized by XRD and FTIR, and color and specular gloss measurements were performed on both paints. A preliminary assessment of the paints was conducted using the Pipe Method, the salt crystallization test, visual analysis for dustiness, and analysis of microbiological growth. The results showed that the laboratory-produced paints are theoretically and technologically compatible with lime-based coatings, however, their superficial performance can be improved to achieve greater durability. This study also brings to light local materials from the Amazon region that have great potential to be used and recognized as raw materials for paints and which could also be investigated for other uses.

The importance of rational use of waste from the processing of grapes, fruits, sugar beets and grain crops in the preparation of high-grade feed is noted. In this regard the relevance of the development of effective technical means for mixing liquid or pasty additives with traditional feed is emphasized. An experimental feed mixer with the ability to produce feed mixtures using secondary raw materials of various aggregate states has been developed. The task of the experimental work was to study its performance under various operating modes. As a result of laboratory studies, it was found that with an increase in the rotational speed of the working body from 60 to 120 min-1 the productivity of the experimental feed mixer increased from 2,0 to 3,3 t/h. With the subsequent decrease in the amplitude of oscillations of the inter-screw cavity (with a decrease in its volume) the increase in productivity slows down.

Abstract The article presents changes that took place in the textile and apparel (T&A) industry in Poland in the years 2004–2020. To describe the changes, we adopted the supply chain management perspective, which allowed for a global view of the changes taking place. We discuss the basic characteristics, such as the size and structure of the industry, innovation, production value, and the use of information and communications technology (ICT). In the research, we used the databases of the Central Statistical Office (GUS) on the sold production of the T&A industry, as well as imports and exports. Our research shows that, at the level of basic characteristics, the industry is close to the European model. However, it is characterized by a smaller share of small companies in the structure of enterprises. The research showed an upward trend in the production of sold textiles and, to a lesser extent, apparel. At the same time, the operation of the Polish T&A industry is influenced by the import of finished products and raw materials from China, Germany, Bangladesh, and Turkey. The export is directed to the German, Czech, Romanian, and Ukrainian markets. The article provides an overview of the development trends in the Polish T&A industry in the broad context of international conditions.

In the following article, based on two years of participatory ethnographic fieldwork with the No Border musical, as well as interviews with 16 of the musical’s 30 participants, community theatre is investigated in a context of deportability. We analyse the working process in the theatre group, in which actors with and without resident permits participated, through the concept of politics of translation. We show how inequalities due to the constant threat of deportation for several members were brought to the forefront during the work process of creating the musical. It concerned risks of detection for the undocumented participants as well difficult living conditions related to deportability (for example insecure access to livelihood, healthcare, housing etc.). The article conceptualizes various dimensions of working together in a group where participants live in unequal conditions as a politics of translation. This concept includes the work of language translation, and also captures translations of the different experiences mentioned above, and how different positions of power can be handled and understood, within a group with the ambition to work together, in this case on a theatrical performance. Our analysis shows how theatre in a context of asylum rights activism can challenge and create alternatives to the conditions of deportability, while these simultaneously condition the activism and translation. The article contributes to knowledge about mobilization in the context of vulnerability and inequality. We hope to also contribute to a development of critical social work both within and outside academia.
