The importance of rational use of waste from the processing of grapes, fruits, sugar beets and grain crops in the preparation of high-grade feed is noted. In this regard the relevance of the development of effective technical means for mixing liquid or pasty additives with traditional feed is emphasized. An experimental feed mixer with the ability to produce feed mixtures using secondary raw materials of various aggregate states has been developed. The task of the experimental work was to study its performance under various operating modes. As a result of laboratory studies, it was found that with an increase in the rotational speed of the working body from 60 to 120 min-1 the productivity of the experimental feed mixer increased from 2,0 to 3,3 t/h. With the subsequent decrease in the amplitude of oscillations of the inter-screw cavity (with a decrease in its volume) the increase in productivity slows down.

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) has been widely used as a vitreous humour substitution in vitreoretinal surgery. Due to its limited availability and increasing domestic needs, the price of PDMS in Indonesia became very expensive. Previously, we reported the synthesized of PDMS from a high grade of monomer of 98% of Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and found that all PDMS samples produced high quality samples similar to that of commercial one. However, by considering the ease of obtaining raw materials and also the production costs, the synthesis of PDMS using monomer which easy to be found in Indonesia and low production costs is needed to be developed. Here, we reported the synthesis of PDMS using low grade of 96% of D4 in order to produce high quality of PDMS with low viscosity that can be used for vitreous humous substitution in vitreoretinal surgery. PDMS samples with low viscosity value of 0.94-1.35 Pa.s have been successfully synthesized from low grade of D4 and MM using ring-opening polymerization method. The yields of PDMS resulted in this research were in the range between 67.27% and 76.26%. From FTIR spectroscopy, it is found that all synthesized samples have structure and functional groups similar to PDMS using high grade of monomer of 98% Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4). From refractometer and surfgauge measurements, all samples have refractive index in the range of 1,4034-1,4040 and the value surface tension was 21 m.N/m.

The results of studies of thermolysis waste in the environment of overheated water vapor are presented. It is shown that as a result of fractionation from liquid waste thermolysis products, gasoline and diesel fuel fractions can be obtained. It is proposed to use a composite mixture of liquid and solid waste thermolysis products as raw materials for high-grade technical carbon. Studies have shown that high-grade technical carbon can be obtained as raw materials using a composite mixture of rubber waste thermolysis products as raw materials. The technological line of obtaining technical carbon from the products of thermolysis of worn tires is described. Analysis of the ash produced by the process of burning the composite mixture shows that it contains compounds of iron, zinc and silicon. Therefore, this ash is of interest as a high-quality raw material for the production of zinc oxide, as one of the main ingredients of rubber mixtures.

Abstract Sulfate occurs naturally in groundwater. Concerns regarding the health effects from sulfate in drinking water have been raised because of reports that diarrhea may be associated with water that contains high levels of sulfate. In the livestock production industry, there is a concern that high levels of sulfate in water can adversely affect productivity. Different methods can be used to remove sulfate from water. Proven technologies are ion-exchange, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and electrodialysis. A few earlier studies have shown that the use of bentonite/kaolinite for sulfate removal has produced encouraging results. Experimental work was undertaken to examine in detail the feasibility of such processes. Laboratory studies using bentonite showed poor or no removal in the case of high sulfate water. Ion exchange and nanofiltration were found to be very effective in removing sulfate. Ion exchange is likely to be more reliable than nanofiltration because of the sensitivity of the nanofiltration process to total dissolved solids and biofouling.

This paper presents the technology of production of synthetic fibrous materials from PET-raw by vertical blowing method. The formation of fibers from the melt of thermoplastics by vertical blowing method is accompanied by complex and specific phenomena, so creation of new progressive technologies, high-performance machines and units for producing such materials is impossible without process modeling, which can significantly reduce the number of natural tests, cost and development time and choose optimal operating modes. The motion of the molten material in the melting unit of the hydrostatic type is determined from the Poiseuille formula. Also in the article proved that the greatest impact on process productivity is made by the melting unit, exactly by outlet radius and the pressure change of compressed air, acting on the molten material surface. The increase in the height of the molten material column in the main cylindrical chamber of melting unit also leads to increase of process productivity.

The article justified the necessity of developing a strategy for the improvement of the sugar beet subcomplex of the region on the base of the determination of the close relationship between beet-growing farms, enterprises engaged in the delivery, processing and sale of manufactured products. According to the authors, the optimization of the raw material zone should include the principle of maximum loading of sugar mills, taking into account the raw materials produced in the region, optimizing transport costs for its delivery. The analysis of the sown area, productivity and gross yield of sugar beets gives us the idea that the region takes the tenth place among the largest producers of sugar beets. The yield and gross yield in 2019 in agricultural enterprises amounted to 459.6 centner / ha, 2231.9 thousand centner (an increase of 13.6% and 9.4% compared to the level of 2018).For P(F)E, the average increase is 40%, which corresponds to 481 centner / ha, 18.3 thousand tons. The average sugar content of beets during acceptance and processing ranges from 17.96 to 18.3%, the sugar yield is 15.63%, the sugar content in molasses is 1.68%, and the average daily productivity is 16.11 thousand ton / day, loss in production is 1.27%. The authors found that the production efficiency of the sugar beet industry is directly connected with the growth of labor productivity, the introduction of modern technologies, cost reduction, and thus, each farm has the opportunity to get additional profit. One of the main problems in the agricultural sector of the economy is the use of available resources to obtain the largest number of products. In our opinion, the production efficiency of sugar mills is closely interconnected with the constructed logistics routes for the transportation of raw materials with the exception of repeated shipments, the proportion of sugar beets in the sown area, and the reliability of suppliers. In our opinion, the efficiency of sugar mills production is in close connection with the built of the logistic routes for transportation of raw materials with the exception of repeated transportation, the specific weight of sugar beet in the structure of the sown area and the reliability ensuring of suppliers. The problem of the effective development of the sugar industry is relevant and priority in solving regional policies, the implementation of which will not only eliminate the emerging imbalances and reduce imports, but also support the domestic producer.

The agriculture wastes are considered as a big environmental problem. The main purpose of this research is to determine the possibility of producing fired clay bricks from a mixture of agriculture wastes in addition to other wastes. The first type of wastes is the cullet while the second type is the wastes is the waste clay bricks (Homra) and the third is an agricultural residue obtained from wheat and sugarcane cultivation. The first step of the experimental work is performing XRF and sieve analysis for raw materials. Brick samples with Cubic shape with dimensions 50 × 50 × 50 mm3 were formed by 1 MPa dry pressing then drying at 120 oC overnight. Tile samples were fired at temperatures of 850 oC for 15 min soaking time. Water absorption, apparent porosity, and mechanical properties were determined and compared to ES 4763 / 2006 and ASTM C 62 / 2013 standards. According to the previous experimental work, it was found that the samples that has a composition (38 % Desert clay, 20% Homra, 10% cullet, 15% Wheat ash straw, 17% sugarcane) has the optimum properties with respect to ES 4763 / 2006 and ASTM C 62 / 2013 standards.
