This paper explores how im/migrant women coming to Italy from all corners of the world and from very different backgrounds in terms of class, education and work experience are transformed into home eldercare assistants. The paper explores how these workers are created through discourses and every day practices enforced at different levels: from the state to the employers, from the mediators to the workers themselves. The creation of these workers has a double function: one is to fill the needs of a welfare state that otherwise would have to radically transform itself in order to provide effective services to the elders and, the other, is to alleviate the pressures of those of the family caregivers, mostly women, who otherwise would collapse under the burden of extended care.

The difference between intent (dolus) and negligence (culpa) was rarely emphasized in codified medieval laws and regulations. When compared to the legal statements related to intent, negligence was mentioned even more rarely. However, there are some laws that distinguished between the two concepts in terms of some specific crimes, such as arson. This paper draws attention to three medieval Slavic legal documents – the Zakon Sudnyj LJudem (ZSLJ), the Vinodol Law and the Statute of Senj. They are compared with reference to regulations regarding arson, with the focus being on arson as a crime committed intentionally or out of negligence. The ZSLJ as the oldest known Slavic law in the world shows some similarities with other medieval Slavic legal codes, especially in the field of criminal law, since most of the ZSLJ’s articles are related to criminal law. On the other hand, the Vinodol Law is the oldest preserved Croatian law and it is among the oldest Slavic codes in the world. It was written in 1288 in the Croatian Glagolitic script and in the Croatian Chakavian dialect. The third document – the Statute of Senj – regulated legal matters in the Croatian littoral town of Senj. It was written in 1388 – exactly a century after the Vinodol Law was proclaimed. When comparing the Vinodol Law and the Statute of Senj with the Zakon Sudnyj LJudem, there are clear differences and similarities, particularly in the field of criminal law. Within the framework of criminal offenses, the act of arson is important for making a distinction between intent and negligence. While the ZSLJ regulates different levels of guilt, the Vinodol Law makes no difference between dolus and culpa. On the other hand, the Statute of Senj strictly refers to negligence as a punishable crime. Even though the ZSLJ is almost half a millennium older than the Statute of Senj and around 400 years older than the Vinodol Law, this paper proves that the ZSLJ defines the guilt and the punishment for arson much better than the other two laws.

There is not one African indigenous religion (AIR); rather, there are many, and they diverge widely. As a group, AIRs are quite different from the scriptural religions the world is more familiar with, since what is central to AIRs is neither belief nor faith, but ritual. Exemplifying an “imagistic” form of religiosity, these religions have no sacred books or writings and are learned by doing, by participation and experience, rather than by instruction and teaching. Belonging to specific local ethnic groups, they are deeply embedded in and informed by the various ecologies of foragers, pastoralists, and horticulturalists—as they are also by the social structures of these societies: they “dwell” in their cultures. These are religions of the living, not so much preparing for afterlife as geared toward meeting the challenges of everyday life, illness and misfortune, mourning and comforting—but also toward feasting, life, fertility, and togetherness, even in death. Quiet rituals of the family contrast with exuberant public celebrations when new adults re-enter the village after an arduous initiation; intricate ritual attention to the all-important crops may include tense rites to procure much needed rains. The range of rituals is wide and all-encompassing. In AIRs, the dead and the living are close, either as ancestors or as other representatives of the other world. Accompanied by spirits of all kinds, both good and bad, harmful and nurturing, existence is full of ambivalence. Various channels are open for communication with the invisible world, from prayer to trance, and from dreams to revelations, but throughout it is divination in its manifold forms that offers a window on the deeper layers of reality. Stories about the other world abound, and many myths and legends are never far removed from basic folktales. These stories do not so much explain the world as they entertainingly teach about the deep humanity that AIRs share and cherish.

Podolia is an ethnographic region of Ukraine, which is known for active interethnic contacts for many centuries, which, on the one hand, have systematically enriched the Podolsk spiritual and material culture, and on the other hand, in various spheres of the traditional culture of the Podolians, there is a preservation of many Slavic archaic elements. The article presents the archaic elements of the traditional culture of the Ukrainians of Podolia in traditional family rituals – birthlore, wedding and funeral on the material of the verbal component of the cultural text. Field records of dialectal texts, made by the author in 2006–2014 in more than 100 villages of Vinnitsa region served as empirical basis of the study. The family rites texts attest the realization of the main semantic oppositions of the Slavic picture of the world: "top" – "bottom", "full" – "empty", "own" – "alien". The motives of the cult of ancestors, deception of death, syncretism of agrarian and family rituals are elements of the archaic, which constitute an essential part of the folk consciousness and beliefs of the Podolians. Several fragments of the folk culture of the Ukrainians of Podolia presented in the article through the prism of the comparative typological analysis, with the involvement of data from other Slavic traditions, signal the preservation of the general archaic fund of the spiritual culture of the Slavs

Anak-anak di dunia ini sangat membutuhkan bimbingan dari orang tua yang dilakukan dengan adanya rasa kasih sayang dari keluarga terutama bimbingan dari orang tua.  Dengan bimbingan dan kasih sayang yang sepatutnya, seorang anak akan bertumbuh menjadi suatu kesukaan bagi orang tua, berkat bagi dunia, dan terang bercahaya bagi Allah. Pengaruh keluarga atau pun juga guru yang mengajar mereka di sekolah bagi perkembangan anak sangatlah besar. Karena guru juga merupakan tempat utama bagi pembentukan karakter, watak, dan kepribadian anak di sekolah. Dengan bantuan dan dorongan dari keluarga, teman-teman, dan anggota-anggota keluarga besar, anak-anak seharusnya merasakan masa kanak-kanak sebagai suatu masa untuk menemukan pribadi seperti yang telah dikehendaki oleh Tuhan. Namun keadaan dunia ini tidaklah selalu sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Dunia saat ini memberikan kepada anak-anak kemudahan-kemudahan untuk melakukan sesuatu yang tidak sesuai dengan yang diajarkan dalam keluarga begitu juga dengan lingkungan sangat mempengaruhi pembentukan pola-pola kepribadian maupun pola-pola sikapnya. Ketika orang tua tidak memberikan kasih sayang kepada anak sejak kecil yang seharusnya diterima oleh anak dan ketika orang tua gagal memberikan kasih sayang kepada anak, maka anak tidak dapat bertumbuh dengan baik dan di sekolah pun anak tidak aktif dalam mengikuti pengajaran. Hal yang lainnya ialah, mereka bertumbuh menjadi anak-anak yang pemalu dan takut untuk tampil didepan umum, juga kurang percaya diri, menganggap diri kurang mampu, tidak hanya di sekolah namun di lingkungan juga.  Peristiwa lainnya ialah ketika orang tua tidak terlalu mementingkan pertumbuhan anak, maka akan membuat anak sulit mengikuti pengajaran yang baik di sekolah. Kasus-kasus di atas, adalah akibat kurangnya pastoral konseling terhadap anak pada usia 5-12 tahun sehingga berdampak pembentukan karakter dan emosi yang kurang baik. Oleh sebab itu guru diharapkan mampu untuk mengerti pastoral konseling dengan benar dan menjalankannya didalam pengajaran tiap-tiap hari yang dilakukan seorang guru di sekolah, karena pastoral konseling terhadap anak yang benar akan mempengaruhi kecerdasan anak dan anak dapat merasakan kasih sayang atau perhatian yang seharusnya mereka dapatkan dari orang tua.   Children in this world really need guidance from parents which is done with the love of family, especially guidance from parents. With proper guidance and affection, a child will grow into a joy for parents, a blessing to the world, and a bright light for God. The influence of the family or also the teacher who teaches them at school for children's development is very large. Because the teacher is also the main place for the formation of character, character, and personality of children in school. With the help and encouragement from family, friends, and members of extended families, children should feel childhood as a time to find the person who is desired by God. But the state of this world is not always as expected. Today's world gives children the ease of doing things that are not in accordance with what is taught in the family as well as the environment greatly influencing the formation of personality patterns and patterns of attitude. When parents do not give love to children since childhood which should be accepted by children and when parents fail to give love to children, then the child cannot grow properly and even in school the child is not active in following teaching. The other thing is, they grow up to be shy children who are afraid to appear in public, also lack of confidence, consider themselves less capable, not only in school but also in the environment. Other events are when parents are not too concerned with the child's growth, it will make it difficult for children to follow good teaching in school. The cases above, are due to the lack of pastoral counseling of children at the age of 5-12 years, which results in the formation of character and emotions that are not good. Therefore teachers are expected to be able to understand pastoral counseling correctly and carry it out in teaching every day that is done by a teacher at school, because pastoral counseling to the right child will affect the intelligence of children and children can feel the love or attention they should get from parents.

Multiple intellectual movements are here that changed the socio-economic conditions of humankind throughout history. Among these movements, a highly Influential is socialism, which was the most discussed and dominant social and political movement in the 19th and 20th centuries. It affected many thoughts and cultures owing to its impressive materialistic approach. On the other hand, Islam negates socialism’s fundamental principles, and it does not appreciate pure materialistic discourse for the wellbeing of humanity. Islam also provides a social structure for equality and justice for success in this world and the hereafter. This article explains the salient features of socialism which are contrary to Islamic ideas and precepts. Furthermore, the current position of socialism in the world and how Islamic traditions and civilization can be preserved have been discussed. In addition, this article provides a brief overview of the importance of establishing an Islamic "welfare state."

Abstract The author addresses the siblings theme not only by considering it part of the bonds of a concrete and real family but by relating it to more phantasmal analogies in order to give voice to the world of internal representations. This paper is inspired by some fundamental considerations formulated by René Kaes in the book “The fraternal complex” (Le complexe fraternal, 2008): n the fraternal complex two different levels can be identified: 1) an archaic level characterized by a pre-Oedipal climate in which confusion and undifferentiatedness prevail and where the brother or sister assumes the uncanny dimension of a foreign object, a non-recognized, encrypted and encysted double or lookalike. 2) a level of Oedipal nature in which the otherness, the difference and the recognition of the other can be structured; this level makes it possible to open up towards a dimension of separation and identification. These two different levels will be illustrated trough some clinical situations.

The problem is related to the prevalence of procrastination, including among students, on the one hand, and the lack of development of approaches to explaining the psychological mechanisms of procrastination, on the other. The article substantiates the possibility of explaining the phenomenon of procrastination in the context of resilience by referring to the categories of meaningfulness of life and existential fulfillment. The goal is to identify the features of the implementation of fundamental existential motivations by students with different levels of procrastination. Method of research. We used the Lay “General procrastination Scale” in the adaptation of Windecker, Ostanina, the” test of existential motivations “ by Shumsky, Ukolova, Osin, and Lupandina; methods of mathematical statistics (Mann-Whitney and Spearman criteria). Sample: 45 procrastinator students, 51 non-procrastinators, and 117 students with an average level of procrastination. Results. Significant differences between all groups were revealed, and there were significant correlations between the level of procrastination and the severity of existential motivations. Conclusion. It was revealed that the degree of existential fulfillment of procrastinator students differs from the other two groups. They have less money: 1) the desire to “be-in-the-world”; 2) the value attitude to life; 3) the desire to be oneself; 4) the desire for meaning. Students with an average level of procrastination, like non-procrastinators, have more realized the ability to freely be in the world and realize meaning, but less than non-procrastinators, the existential motivations “Value of life” and “self-Worth” are realized. It is proved that the theory of fundamental existential motivations can be used to explain procrastination.

AbstractThe species and genera of the family Trogositidae in America north of Mexico are revised. Two subfamilies are recognized: Peltinae and Trogositinae. The Peltinae include: Calitys Thomson (2 species), Eronyxa Reitter (3 species), Ostoma Laicharting (3 species), Grynocharis Thomson (2 species), Lophocateres Olliff (1 species), and Thymalus Latreille (1 species). The Trogositinae include: Nemosoma Latreille (5 species), Cylidrella Sharp (1 species), Corticotomus Sharp (6 species), Euschaefferia Leng (2 species), Airora Reitter (3 species), Temnochila Westwood (10 species), and Tenebroides Piller and Mitterpacher (18 species). Pseudocotomus Schaeffer is placed in synonymy with Euschaefferia Leng and Parafilumis Casey with Corticotomus Sharp. New species are Temnochila omolopha from Arizona and New Mexico and Temnochila rhyssa from California and Idaho. Synonymies, keys, descriptions, collecting and locality data, and illustrations are included. A checklist places all the species and genera in the proposed classification. Interpretation of relationships of the genera and species is included. The North American taxa are associated with the trogositid taxa from other parts of the world, and with groups within the other families of Cleroidea. Relationships among the taxa are postulated. The inclusion of peltines and trogositines in a single family is upheld.

The pandemic has brought the world to a standstill. The dearth to survive in the wake of devastation has made humans adapt to the new normal which was never experienced but now has become a protocol. The phrase which was the tagline for global partnerships ‘united we stand, divided we fall’ has now transformed into ‘divided we stand, united we fall’, as a claim to survive this pandemic. In India where the virus has claimed the maximum toll of human lives, continues to fight various battles to survive. On one side, the health workers, doctors, police are risking their lives so that the common man may not be affected while on the other hand, people within the houses are falling victims to domestic and sexual abuse. In the light of the pandemic that has claimed lives as well as loss of employment; the struggle to survive has hit a different tone especially among the lower and the middle income families. The frustration of losing a job is vented on the family members as there remains no source of income to support the family. This article tries to unearth the existing social problems of abuse among men and women at large especially during the pandemic. The principle of resistance is understood in the sexual division of labour where individuals are now trying to be communicating with the outside world while remaining at home.

Due to rising unemployment in many European countries and the far spread view that this is linked to the crisis of the welfare state, tripartite co-operations arose between government, unions and employer associations recently, Promotion of international competitiveness, consolidation of public finances and reduction of unemployment are the three main political goals, which are considered to be the new consensus between the actors, This consensns arose because of the unions' adaptation to key positions of the other actors' analysis and it is widely held to be an expression for the overcoming of unions' heavily discussed crisis, With the Dutch polder model, which is celebrated as a successful prototype of a consensus model, one can illustrate that the assumed consensus is much more ambivalent and fragile than the current debate suggests, It is possible to demonstrate on the basis of Foucault's governmentality studies that the creation of the supply side consensus is not an expression of reason and responsibility, Instead, due to the unequal distribution of power and rule some actors manage to implement their interpretations of the world as being ,true'.
