Abstract The article provides information on the main problems of development of dairy enterprises in Ukraine on the criteria of sustainable development and taking into account the vector of the European integration course of the country. The level of providing milk processing enterprises with the quality of raw milk is analyzed. The main trends in the supply of raw milk from agricultural enterprises and households of Ukraine by varieties are presented and analyzed. The dynamics of milk supply and its price are also presented. It is established that the use of quality raw milk directly affects the efficiency of milk processing enterprises. Important aspects of quality control of raw dairy products at enterprises are outlined. High-quality dairy production and reduction of production costs are impossible without the functioning of the raw material quality monitoring system. To this end, it is necessary to introduce the principles of hazard analysis and critical control points in the management structure of dairy companies. It is proved that the key factor of global economic development is the state of the environment, so monitoring the supply of milk - raw materials should also be accompanied by the definition of a set of resource efficiency indicators.

The article is devoted to the study of the chemical composition, physical and thermal-pfysical characteristics of damp apple pomaces and the identifying patterns of influence of drying temperature the functional composition and gel-forming ability of pectin. The research is aimed at obtaining initial data for the subsequent calculation of the main technological, hydro-mechanical, thermal, structural and economic characteristics of devices for drying the plant raw materials, ensuring the environmental safety and high quality of pectin-containing raw materials, the reducing heat and energy costs. As a result of the study of the thermal characteristics of apple pomaces, the critical points (temperature conductivity – 16.5 x 10-8 m2/s, thermal conductivity – 0.28 W/m K, heat capacity – 1627 j/(kg K)) at a humidity of 56 % are determined, which characterizing the transition from the extraction of weakly bound moisture to the extraction of moisture with strong bonds (colloidal, adsorption). It was found that the pomaces obtained from apples of late ripening have a higher content of solids (21-23 %), soluble pectin and protopectin (2.5-4.5 %). Dried pomaces obtained from apple varieties of late ripening contain up to 25 % pectin, which allow us to recommend them as a source of raw materials for the production of pectin. The optimum modes of preliminary washing of raw materials are offered, allowing to the remove the ballast substances as much as possible. It is established that when the drying temperature increases, the destructive processes are catalyzed: the strength of the pectin jelly and the uronide component and the degree of pectin esterification are reduced. The optimum drying temperature of damp apple pomaces is 80 0C, at which the quality of pectin extracted from the dried raw materials is maintained as much as possible. It is shown that the most effective for the pectin production is a fraction with a particle size of 3-5 mm, which allow us to extract up to 71 % of pectin from raw materials.

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) has been widely used as a vitreous humour substitution in vitreoretinal surgery. Due to its limited availability and increasing domestic needs, the price of PDMS in Indonesia became very expensive. Previously, we reported the synthesized of PDMS from a high grade of monomer of 98% of Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and found that all PDMS samples produced high quality samples similar to that of commercial one. However, by considering the ease of obtaining raw materials and also the production costs, the synthesis of PDMS using monomer which easy to be found in Indonesia and low production costs is needed to be developed. Here, we reported the synthesis of PDMS using low grade of 96% of D4 in order to produce high quality of PDMS with low viscosity that can be used for vitreous humous substitution in vitreoretinal surgery. PDMS samples with low viscosity value of 0.94-1.35 Pa.s have been successfully synthesized from low grade of D4 and MM using ring-opening polymerization method. The yields of PDMS resulted in this research were in the range between 67.27% and 76.26%. From FTIR spectroscopy, it is found that all synthesized samples have structure and functional groups similar to PDMS using high grade of monomer of 98% Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4). From refractometer and surfgauge measurements, all samples have refractive index in the range of 1,4034-1,4040 and the value surface tension was 21 m.N/m.

The urgency of the problem of increasing the nutritional qualities of mare's milk is that, it has versatile uses. Many people traditionally prefer koumiss made of milk with high fat content, as it has good taste, mouth-watering appearance, high calorie content, helps to increase liver weight. In many patients, including tuberculosis, hypotrophic and malnourished due to a long and serious illness, the latter aspect is an important part of treatment. In the production of raw materials for baby and diet food, first of all, it is necessary to achieve an increase in the protein and fat content of mares, as well as to stabilize the content of valuable components in milk during lactation. Therefore, the search for methods for correcting the composition of dairy raw materials is relevant to industry issues. This article presents the results on the research of influence of Hydro mechanical processing on the physicochemical and microbiological properties of mare's milk. Milk processing treatment by gaseous nitrogen was carried out at laboratory-patented system. This method has not had a negative impact on its physical and chemical characteristics, but significantly increased the bactericidal life. The introduction of pure cultures of koumiss leaven in processed and not processed raw milk has reduced the acidity build-up to the optimal value allowing increase in the life of koumiss.

This study determined the prevalence and antibiotic susceptibility profile of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from milk and milk products in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. A total of 180 samples comprising of fresh raw milk, bulk milk, Nono, and Kindirmo were collected over a period of 6 months. Standard microbiological procedures were employed in the isolation, identification, characterization and determination of the antibiogram of S. aureus from the milk samples. Characterization was achieved by morphological, biochemical characteristics using conventional methods and Microgen® STAPH-ID kits. The isolates were tested for susceptibility or resistance to a panel of 11 commonly used antibiotics using the agar disc diffusion technique. Out of the 180 milk samples examined, nine (9) S. aureus were isolated giving a prevalence of 5.0%. The occurrence of S. aureus was higher in Nono (12.1%) and Kindirmo (10.6%) than in fresh raw milk (5.9%). The kind of water (well water) used for cleaning utensils at the Nono and Kindirmo selling points was found to be a risk factor associated with the occurrence of S. aureus in the products. All of the isolates were resistant to cefoxitin (100%), ampicillin (100%), and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (100%). The isolates displayed various rates of resistance to erythromycin (22.2%), sulphamethoxazole/trimethoprim (22.2%), and tetracycline (44.4%). Five (5) antibiotic resistance patterns were recorded among the isolates an indication of different levels of use and misuse of antibiotics in the areas studied. The detection of Staphylococcus aureus in fresh and fermented milk in the areas studied suggests that consumption of dairy products especially those produced using traditional methods, constitute a hazard to consumers. It is recommended that since compliance with basic hygiene requirements is not guaranteed, hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) concepts should be seen as a part of an effective total hygiene concept at the selling points. The Picamoixons site is a rockshelter located in the province of Tarragona (NE Iberian Peninsula). It was object of two rescue campaigns during 1988 and 1993, which led to the recovery of a complete archaeological assemblage, including stone tools as well as faunal and portable art remains that date the occupation to the 14th to 11th millennium BP (calibrated). This study involves a petrographic characterisation of the stone-tool assemblage in order to establish: 1) the procurement areas, 2) the raw materials management strategies and 3) the mobility radius and territorial sizes of the hunter-gatherers groups that occupied the site. The method applied comprises in a multiscale analysis that includes systematic prospection, the petrographic characterisation of geological and archaeological samples, an analysis of the chert types represented in the knapping sequence, and the definition of the mobility axes and areas frequented according to lithic procurement.A petrographic analysis of the chert in the prospected area led to the definition of nine macroscopic varieties related to five types (Vilaplana, Morera, Maset, Vilella and Tossa cherts), related to Lower and Upper Muschelkalk (Triassic), Lutetian, Bartonian (Palaeocene) and Sannonian (Oligocene) deposits. The study of the knapping sequences indicates the main exploitation of Bartonian cherts (Tossa type), and the use of Lutetian cherts (Maset and Morera types) for configuring retouched tools. The exploitation of the remaining raw material types identified is considered sporadic and opportunistic.Defining the procurement areas enabled the mobility radius to be assessed as between 3 and 30 km, highlighting the importance of the fluvial basins as natural movement pathways. The results indicate that the main procurement territory was 16 km2 in area, associable with a forager radius. The most remote procurement distances suggest a maximum exploitation area of 260 km2, defining an intra-regional range. This range presents parallelisms with various contemporaneous hunter-gatherers groups in Western Europe, suggesting a progressive mobility reduction dynamic during the Late Pleistocene-Initial Holocene.

Milk is a part of many food products. In the expert assessment of the quality of raw materials, primary attention should be paid to its microbiological safety, since poisoning with dairy products is a common cause of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. The experiment has been carried out on the base in the Teaching and Production Livestock Farm in the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K. A. Timiryazev” (Moscow). The purpose of the research was to improve the quality indicators of raw milk and yogurt. The method of processing raw milk, which reduces the number of potentially dangerous microorganisms in the products produced from it, has been studied. During the experiment the influence of electromagnetic radiation on organoleptic and physic and chemical parameters has been observed; the quantitative and qualitative composition of milk and yogurt microorganisms has been evaluated. The samples of raw materials had a uniform consistency without sediment and flakes, the color was milky white, and the smell was characteristic of natural cow’s milk. Electromagnetic treatment did not affect the main elements of the chemical composition of milk: the mass fraction of dry substances, fat, protein and lactose. In the experimental samples of raw milk after electromagnetic pulses treatment, the decrease in the growth rate of microorganisms including Quantity of Mesophilic Aerobic and Facultative Anaerobic Microorganisms (QMAFAnM), yeast and mold, has been noted. No bacteria of the Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coligroups have been found in the milk samples. The electromagnetic field had the negligible effect on the amount of lactic acid microorganisms in the raw material. During the experiment, there was no negative influence of electromagnetic radiation on the organoleptic, physic and chemical and sanitary-hygienic parameters of yogurt. The issues of ensuring the microbiological safety of raw milk have been described and the method for optimizing the sanitary and hygienic parameters of yogurt in accordance with the current requirements of regulatory documents has been suggest in the article.

The results of studies of thermolysis waste in the environment of overheated water vapor are presented. It is shown that as a result of fractionation from liquid waste thermolysis products, gasoline and diesel fuel fractions can be obtained. It is proposed to use a composite mixture of liquid and solid waste thermolysis products as raw materials for high-grade technical carbon. Studies have shown that high-grade technical carbon can be obtained as raw materials using a composite mixture of rubber waste thermolysis products as raw materials. The technological line of obtaining technical carbon from the products of thermolysis of worn tires is described. Analysis of the ash produced by the process of burning the composite mixture shows that it contains compounds of iron, zinc and silicon. Therefore, this ash is of interest as a high-quality raw material for the production of zinc oxide, as one of the main ingredients of rubber mixtures.
