The purpose of this research is to define the effect of project- based learning on students’ attitude towards English classes. The study group of the research consisted of 51 students attending grade 10 at an Anatolian high school in the Western Black Sea region of Turkey. In the quantitatively designed research, the “control group pre-test– post-test design”, one of the experimental designs, was applied. The “Scale of Attitude towards English Classes” was used as the data collection tool. The scale consists of 20 items and three sub-dimensions. The research data were compared by applying the Mann Whitney U test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, calculating the standard deviation value and arithmetic average on the SPSS22 program. Results of the research indicate that there was a significant difference between the experimental group’s pre-test and post-test scores in favour of the post-test. There was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups’ post-test results in favour of the experimental group.

Gejala awal persalinan akan menimbulkan nyeri yang sangat hebat karena adanya kontraksi uterus dan otot abdomen. Nyeri intra natal adalah suatu nyeri yang dirasakan saat terjadinya proses persalinan (melahirkan). Saat nyeri persalinan muncul, ada baiknya bagi ibu untuk membaca dzikir. Dzikir adalah mengingat Allah SWT dan menghadirkan apa yang tadinya ada di dalam benak untuk kemudian dilafadzkan atau disebut-sebut yang dapat dilakukan secara lisan dengan menggunakan lidah atau bisa juga diucapkan tanpa adanya keterlibatan lidah, yaitu melalui hati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembacaan dzikir pada ibu melahirkan terhadap tingkat nyeri intra natal. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Desain penelitian pra eksperimen, dengan rancangan pre test-post test tanpa kelompok kontrol. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi langsung kepada responden untuk mengukur tingkat nyeri. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik wilcoxon signed rank test dan regresi linier dengan menggunakan SPSS 14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji statistik untuk nilai pre test dan post test tingkat nyeri diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,02 dengan p < 0,05.Kata kunci: pembacaan dzikir, melahirkan, nyeri intra natal, tingkat nyeriABSTRACTThe delivery or usually called labor process is a process open and thin the cervix, and descent of the fetus into the way of birth. The early symptom of delivery will be appearing very heavy because there are uterus contraction and abdomen muscle. In partum pain is a pain which feel when delivery process happening (labor). When labor pain appears, there is a good for the mother to read dzikir. Dzikir is remembering Allah SWT and make present what before in the mind and then pronounced or make cal can do spoken by tongue or pronounced without there are involving tongue, by heart. The purpose of this research is to know about the influence of reading dzikir to the delivery mother toward in partum level of pain. Technique sampling used purpose sampling. The research of design pre experiment, with pre test-post test without control group design. The sample in this research’s total is 30 respondents. The manner of data was did by direct observation to the respondents to measure pain level. Data analysis used statistic test wilcoxon signed rank test and regression linier in SPSS 14. The aim of this study is to investigate 8 weeks Thera-Band trainings' effects on male swimmers' 100 m freestyle swimming performance.The study group is created by 20 (n = 20) licenced male athletes that had trained at least 3 days in a week and have been active in swimming sport at least 3 years in Gebze Genclerbirligi Swimming Club 20 (n = 20). Athletes were divided into experiment group (n = 10) and control group (n = 10) randomly. Training programme was applied to the study group for 55-60 minutes for 3 days on alternate days and times when the club does not have swimming training. 12 different Thera-Band trainings were applied for 40-45 mins and each set was 15 minutes.Mann-Whitney U test was used to analyze differences between groups and Wilcoxon signed rank test was applied for analyzing the differences of intra-groups. SPSS 21.0 Statistics package software was used for statistical analyzes. The results show that there are no significantly differences between experimental group's and control group's post test results. (p>0.05). Statistically significant differences are found as a result of intra-group comparison of the experimental group's pre-test and post-test results (p<0.05).Depending on the results obtained after reviewing the literature, it can be concluded that Thera-Band training is effective on the performance improvement of swimmers aged 13-15 years.

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of picture in storybook reading to increase kindness in children. This research involved 31 children aged 5-6 years; they were taken from the kindergarten in Bandung as the participants. The intervention was done by reading eight picture books in eight days. The kindness was measured using a measurement instrument created by the researcher, in the form of nine coloured cards that described the behaviour of kindness. The measurement was also done by seeing through the kindness tree and observation sheets that filled out by the teacher. The data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-rank test shows a significant difference in the average score of kindness (p<0,05) before and after picture storybook reading. Two weeks after the intervention, the improvement on all kindness behaviours with the post-test score is greater than pre-test score that still can be found. Observation through kindness tree and observational sheets shows the same result.

Abstrak Latar Belakang :Menarke merupakan kondisi fisiologis berupa menstruasi pertama yang dialami perempuan. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai menarke berdampak pada ketidaksiapan dalam menghadapi menarke.  Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi dengan media yang sesuai dapat menjadi upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang menarke. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh pemberian media buku pop-up dan leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang menarke pada anak perempuan usia pubertas awal. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis kuasi experimental dengan pendekatan pretest-post test control group design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 44 anak perempuan usia pubertas awal yang terbagi kedalam kelompok dengan intervensi media buku pop-up dan kelompok dengan intervensi media leaflet. Pengukuran pengetahuan tentang menarke menggunakan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test. Hasil: Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test data pretest-postest pengetahuan pada kelompok yang diberi media leaflet (p=0,001) dan pretest-postest kelompok yang diberi media leaflet (p=0,001). Uji Mann Whitney U-Test data postest kelompok buku pop-up dan kelompok leaflet (p=0.002) (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan: Buku pop-up merupakan media yang lebih efektif dari leaflet untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang menarke pada anak perempuan usia pubertas awal .Abstract Background: Menarche is physiological condition, the first menstruation that happen to women. Lack of knowledge can lead to unreadiness menstrual behaviour. Menstrual education by using visual media can be useful to increase menarche knowlede. This study aims to compare educational media of pop-up book and leaflet to increasing knowledge about menarche. Methods: The type of research was quasi experiment using pretest-posttest group design. The samples taken from 44 female students of SDN Banjarejo I dan II Bojonegoro. Samples consisting of 22 students as leaflet group  and 22 students as pop-up book group. Method of measuring knowledge using pretest and postest questionnaire. Result: Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test indicate there was significant difference between pretest-posttest leaflet group (p=0,001) and pretest-postest pop-up book group (p=0,001). The result of Mann Whitney U-Test indicate there was significant difference of knowledge (p=0,002) beetween postest leaflet group and postest pop-up book group. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study was the pop-up book was found more effective than leaflet in improving menarche knowledge

ABSTRAKKecemasan merupakan fenomena psikologis yang umum dirasakan oleh setiap individu. Mahasiswa sebagai penuntut ilmu tidak pernah lepas dari tuntutan tugas dan lingkungan, membuat mahasiswa sering dihadapkan pada situasi yang memicu timbulnya berbagai hambatan. Terdapat berbagai upaya untuk mengurangi kecemasan tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan mewarnai mandala. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh mewarnai mandala terhadap menurunnya kecemasan pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test post-test control group. Responden terdiri dari 20 mahasiswa yang mengalami kecemasan ringan sampai sangat berat, yang terbagi atas kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis penelitian menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank test ditemukan perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan mewarnai mandala dengan nilai Z = -2,831 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,005 (p0,05). Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa mewarnai mandala dapat menurunkan kecemasan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga melakukan analisis antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Hasil analisis menggunakan ujiMann-Whitney diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,404 (p0,05). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan hasil penurunan tingkat kecemasan pada kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol.Kata Kunci: Kecemasan, Mewarnai Mandala, MahasiswaABSTRACTAnxiety is a psychological phenomenon that is commonly felt by everyone. Students with various activities can also experience anxiety. Students in the academic environment, who have never been separated from the demands of the task, make students often faced with the situations that trigger anxiety. There are various efforts to reduce this anxiety, one of which is to color the mandala. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coloring mandalas on decreasing anxiety in students. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test post-test control group design. Respondents consisted of 20 students who experienced mild to extremely severe anxiety, which was divided into experimental groups and control groups. The results of the study analysis using Wilcoxon signed rank test found differences before and after the mandala coloring treatment given with a value of Z = -2,831 with a significance value of 0,005 (p 0,05). The results of this analysis indicate that coloring mandalas can reduce anxiety. In addition, this study also conducted an analysis between the control group and the experimental group. The results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney test obtained a significance value of 0,404 (p 0,05). The results of the analysis showed that there were no differences in the results of the decrease in anxiety levels in the experimental group and the control group.Keywords: Anxiety, Coloring Mandala, Student

Masa remaja akan diwarnai dengan perubahan fisik salah satunya adalah payudara   membesar.  Payudara   ini   memiliki   kemungkinan   akan   timbulnya penyakit salah satunya adalah kanker payudara. Namun kurangnya minat remaja dalam  mencari  informasi  mengenai  deteksi  dini  kanker payudara,  menjadikan remaja tidak paham akan penyakit kanker payudara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui peer group terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap remaja putri tentang SADARI. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan pendekatan pre and post test without control group. Dengan jumlah populasi 1028 remaja putri, sehingga jumlah sampel didapatkan sebanyak 91 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling. Data diperoleh dengan cara wawancara, alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed ranktest diperoleh   nilai   probabilitas  (p-value)  sebesar 0,000  (p<   0,05)   sehingga kesimpulan uji adalah terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui peer group terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap remaja putri tentang SADARI.Kata kunci : Pengetahuan, Sikap, Peer Group, Remaja   ABSTRACT Adolescence will be colored by physical changes, one of which is enlarged breasts. This breast has the possibility of disease, one of which is breast cancer. But the lack of interest in adolescents in seeking information about early detection of breast cancer, makes teenagers do not understand breast cancer.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education through peer groups on the knowledge and attitudes of young women about their awareness. This type of research uses a quasi experiment design with a pre and post test without control group approach. With a population of 1028 young women, so the number of samples was 91 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study used simple random sampling. Data obtained by interview, data collection tools using questionnaires and statistically analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon signed ranktest test obtained a probability value (p-value) of 0,000 (p <0.05) so that the conclusion of the test was that there was an effect of health education through peer groups on the knowledge and attitudes of young women.Keywords : Knowledge, Attitude,Peer Group, Adoloscence

<p>This research aims to determine the effects of brainstorming on students’ engagement in learning about probability. The method used in this research is the quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group. The sampling technique is in the form of a census. The data was collected through a questionnaire and analyzed by using non-parametric tests -- the Mann-Whitney U-test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test with alpha level of 0.05. The results show that: 1) there was no significant difference on students’ engagement before and after the experiment in the group that was taught without brainstorming; 2) there was significant difference on students’ engagement before and after the experiment in the group taught with brainstorming; and 3) there was no significant difference on students’ engagement between the group that was taught with brainstorming and the group that was taught without brainstorming. The result of this research indicates that implementing brainstorming produces a positive effect on students’ engagement in learning about probability in math classes in grade XI IPA at SMA ABC Cikarang.</p><p><em><span class="showMoreLessContentElement" style="display: inline;">BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK</span>: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh penerapan brainstorming terhadap keterlibatan siswa dalam mempelajari topik peluang.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner dan dianalisis dengan uji non-parametrik, yaitu uji Mann-Whitney U dan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam keterlibatan siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan di grup yang diajar tanpa brainstorming (hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank: ); 2) ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada keterlibatan siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan di grup yang diajar dengan brainstorming (hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank: ); dan 3) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada keterlibatan siswa antara grup yang diajar dengan brainstorming dan tanpa brainstorming (hasil uji Mann-Whitney U: ). Hasil dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan brainstorming memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap keterlibatan siswa dalam mempelajari peluang di pelajaran matematika kelas XI IPA SMA ABC Cikarang.</em></p>

This study aimed to answer the questions related to the effect of using self-regulated jigsaw task as a technique to improve the students’ performance in the course of curriculum reading in English, and to find out the learners’ perceptions of using jigsaw task in their learning. This study is important since jigsaw task could help learners to become autonomous learners as well as to promote cooperation between learners. The study sample consisted of 40 (two classes) female students studying the course of curriculum reading in English in the Master’s Program of curriculum and instructions at Umm Al-Qura University. The classes were allocated to the experimental group (n=21 students), which was taught using self-regulated jigsaw task, and the control group (n=19 students), which was taught using traditional tasks. Pre-and post-tests have been conducted to find out the statistical differences. Further, an open-ended questionnaire was given to the participants in the experimental group (n=21 students) to find out more about their perception of using the jigsaw technique in the learning process. Wilcoxon Signed Rank test was used as a statistical procedure to analyze the participants’ scores on the post-test, and the Greenhouse-Geisser test was applied to investigate the differences between groups. The results of the study showed that the difference in performance between students taught using self-regulated jigsaw task and those taught using traditional tasks was statistically significant. Further, the participants in the experimental group perceived that using the jigsaw task had a positive effect on the learning process, enhanced their relations with other learners, and increased their motivation in learning. It is hoped that this study could encourage university instructors to design and implement jigsaw tasks into different courses in higher education.

Perubahan dalam hidup yang mendadak membuat penderita DM menunjukan beberapa reaksi psikologis yang negatif diantaranya marah, merasa tidak berguna, kecemasan yang meningkat dan depresi. Salah satu bentuk intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat menurunkan kecemasan yaitu latihan mindfulness based on breathing dengan pendekatan spiritual. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan pengaruh spiritual mindfulness based on breathing exercise terhadap kecemasan pada pasien DM tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasy experimental study rancangan pre test dan post test with control group design. Intervensi diberikan pada 32 responden selama 15 menit tiap kali intervensi. Variabel terdiri dari spiritual mindfulness based on breathing exercise, dan kecemasan. Uji statistik menggunakan Mann Whitney Test, dan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa spiritual mindfulness based on breathing exercise berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kecemasan pada tiap kelompok (p=0,010 untuk kelompok perlakuan dan p=0,014 untuk kelompok kontrol). Intervensi spiritual mindfulness based on breathing exercise membantu pasien dalam meningkatkan fokus terhadap kondisi saat ini tanpa adanya upaya untuk menyalahkan diri sendiri, orang lain, dan lingkungan sehingga pasien mampu lebih nayaman dan merasa tenang sehingga memberi pengaruh positif terhadap penuruanan kecemasan pasien DM tipe 2.
