This paper presents a novel redundantly actuated 2RPU-2SPR parallel manipulator that can be employed to form a five-axis hybrid kinematic machine tool for large heterogeneous complex structural component machining in aerospace field. On the contrary to series manipulators, the parallel manipulator has the potential merits of high stiffness, high speed, excellent dynamic performance, and complicated surface processing capability. First, by resorting to the screw theory, the degree of freedom of the proposed parallel manipulator is briefly addressed with general configuration and verified by Grübler-Kutzbach (G-K) criteria as well. Next, the inverse kinematics solution for such manipulator is deduced in detail; however, the forward kinematics is mathematically intractable. To deal with such problem, the forward kinematics is solved by means of three back propagation (BP) neural network optimization strategies. The remarkable simulation results of the parallel manipulator demonstrate that the BP neural network with position compensation is an appropriate method for solving the forward kinematics because of its various advantages, such as high efficiency and high convergence ratios. Simultaneously, workspaces, including joint space and workspace of the proposed parallel manipulator, are graphically depicted based on the previous research, which illustrate that the proposed manipulator is a good candidate for engineering practical application.

When using traditional knowledge retrieval algorithms to analyze whether the feature input of words in multi-modal natural language library is symmetrical, the symmetry of words cannot be analyzed, resulting in inaccurate analysis results. A feature input symmetric algorithm of multi-modal natural language library based on BP (back propagation) neural network is proposed in this paper. A Chinese abstract generation method based on multi-modal neural network is used to extract Chinese abstracts from images in multi-modal natural language library. The Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) Model is constructed by the BP neural network. After the word or text disambiguation is performed on the Chinese abstract in the multi-modal natural language library, the feature input symmetry problem in the multi-modal natural language library is analyzed according to the sentence similarity. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively analyze the eigenvalue symmetry problem of the multi-modal natural language library. The maximum error rate of the analysis algorithm is 7%, the growth rate of the analysis speed is up to 50%, and the average analysis time is 540.56 s. It has the advantages of small error and high efficiency.

As the key component of high-speed train bogie, the fault characteristics of gearbox are mainly reflected in its vibration signal. The vibration signals collected in the process of gearbox fault diagnosis are usually complex and changeable, and have strong randomness and contingency. A gearbox fault diagnosis method based on multi feature extraction, principal component analysis (PCA) and adaptive genetic algorithm is proposed to optimize the back propagation neural network analysis. The original vibration data in the gearbox fault diagnosis experiment published by Jiangsu qianpeng Diagnostic Engineering Co., Ltd. is extracted by multi eigenvalues. The feature set is reduced by PCA. The selected principal components are diagnosed and analyzed by AGA-BP neural network. The final diagnosis result is that the root mean square error (MSE) of AGA-BP neural network is 0.0116, and the recognition rate of gearbox fault is 100%.

Under the influence of COVID-19, the economic benefits of shale gas development are greatly affected. With the large-scale development and utilization of shale gas in China, it is increasingly important to assess the economic impact of shale gas development. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for predicting the production of shale gas reservoirs, and uses back propagation (BP) neural network to nonlinearly fit reservoir reconstruction data to obtain shale gas well production forecasting models. Experiments show that compared with the traditional BP neural network, the proposed method can effectively improve the accuracy and stability of the prediction. There is a nonlinear correlation between reservoir reconstruction data and gas well production, which does not apply to traditional linear prediction methods

The camber and cornering properties of the tire directly affect the handling stability of vehicles, especially in emergencies such as high-speed cornering and obstacle avoidance. The structural and load-bearing mode of non-pneumatic mechanical elastic (ME) wheel determine that the mechanical properties of ME wheel will change when different combinations of hinge length and distribution number are adopted. The camber and cornering properties of ME wheel with different hinge lengths and distributions were studied by combining finite element method (FEM) with neural network theory. A ME wheel back propagation (BP) neural network model was established, and the additional momentum method and adaptive learning rate method were utilized to improve BP algorithm. The learning ability and generalization ability of the network model were verified by comparing the output values with the actual input values. The camber and cornering properties of ME wheel were analyzed when the hinge length and distribution changed. The results showed the variation of lateral force and aligning torque of different wheel structures under the combined conditions, and also provided guidance for the matching of wheel and vehicle performance.

AbstractThis paper presents the assessment of water resource security in the Guizhou karst area, China. A mean impact value and back-propagation (MIV-BP) neural network was used to understand the influencing factors. Thirty-one indices involving five aspects, the water quality subsystem, water quantity subsystem, engineering water shortage subsystem, water resource vulnerability subsystem, and water resource carrying capacity subsystem, were selected to establish an evaluation index of water resource security. In addition, a genetic algorithm and back-propagation (GA-BP) neural network was constructed to assess the water resource security of Guizhou Province from 2001 to 2015. The results show that water resource security in Guizhou was at a moderate warning level from 2001 to 2006 and a critical safety level from 2007 to 2015, except in 2011 when a moderate warning level was reached. For protection and management of water resources in a karst area, the modes of development and utilization of water resources must be thoroughly understood, along with the impact of engineering water shortage. These results are a meaningful contribution to regional ecological restoration and socio-economic development and can promote better practices for future planning.

Semantic segmentation of room maps is an essential issue in mobile robots’ execution of tasks. In this work, a new approach to obtain the semantic labels of 2D lidar room maps by combining distance transform watershed-based pre-segmentation and a skillfully designed neural network lidar information sampling classification is proposed. In order to label the room maps with high efficiency, high precision and high speed, we have designed a low-power and high-performance method, which can be deployed on low computing power Raspberry Pi devices. In the training stage, a lidar is simulated to collect the lidar detection line maps of each point in the manually labelled map, and then we use these line maps and the corresponding labels to train the designed neural network. In the testing stage, the new map is first pre-segmented into simple cells with the distance transformation watershed method, then we classify the lidar detection line maps with the trained neural network. The optimized areas of sparse sampling points are proposed by using the result of distance transform generated in the pre-segmentation process to prevent the sampling points selected in the boundary regions from influencing the results of semantic labeling. A prototype mobile robot was developed to verify the proposed method, the feasibility, validity, robustness and high efficiency were verified by a series of tests. The proposed method achieved higher scores in its recall, precision. Specifically, the mean recall is 0.965, and mean precision is 0.943.

Precision improvement in sheet metal stamping has been the concern that the stamping researchers have engaged in. In order to improve the forming precision of sheet metal in stamping, this paper devoted to establish the generalized holo-factors mathematical model of dimension-error and shape-error for sheet metal in stamping based on BP neural network. Factors influencing the forming precision of stamping sheet metal were divided, altogether ten factors, and the generalized holo-factors mathematical model of dimension-error and shape-error for sheet metal in stamping was established using the back-propagation algorithm of error based on BP neural network. The undetermined coefficients of the model previously established were soluble according to the simulation data of sheet punching combined with the specific shape based on the BP neural network. With this mathematical model, the forecast data compared with the validate data could be obtained, so as to verify the fine practicability that the previously established mathematical model had, and then, it was shown that the generalized holo-factors mathematical model of size error and shape-error had fine practicality and versatility. Based on the generalized holo-factors mathematical model of error exemplified by the cylindrical parts, a group of process parameters could be selected, in which forming thickness was between 0.713 mm and 1.335 mm, major strain was between 0.085 and 0.519, and minor strain was between −0.596 and 0.319 from the generalized holo-factors mathematical model prediction, at the same time, the forming thickness, the major strain, and the minor strain were in good condition.
