The study was conducted to explore the determinants of target victim selection by criminals, mode of operations adopted by criminals and the factors considered in the selection of victims by criminals. The study adopted a qualitative approach where simple random and purposively sampling techniques were used to select a sample size of 50 inmates in the Gambaga prisons. Interview guide was the main tool used for the data collection for this study. The study found that victimization influences criminal intentions and behaviour of an individual. The inmates noted that they like to attack victims in isolation and in dark places, especially at night. The study further found that criminals operated in gangs, in areas with darkness and in the night using caps and tattered dresses that anonymized them. They also used fear to traumatize their victims, monitor their victims, as well as operated with guns and knives and under special requests of other individuals in society.

Writing activities are essentially not only to give birth to a thought and a feeling, but also a disclosure of knowledge ideas and the life experience of a person in writing language. The study used a qualitative approach with case study techniques. With the research subject grade V students MI ma'arif NU 1 Kaliwangi. Data collection techniques with interviews, observations, and documentation. Analytics Data uses the Miles and Huberman model. Results showed (a) mature planning before the process of dissection (b) the implementation of creative learning with the image media assisted by the LCD, and Worksheet (c) Self-reliance assessment techniques with direct observation, and system point, (d) The lack of introductory media such as dictionaries changed basic barriers.

Amil zaka in zaka institutions has the right as one of eight ashnaf. Their rights are usually used by zaka institutions as operational cost. However, not all of the intitutions which manage zaka take amil’s right, one of them is Yayasan Nurul Hayat. This institution does not take amil’s right and it is independent in its operational cost. To support this operational cost, Yayasan Nurul Hayat establish business unit with utilize its profit.This study aimed to discover the capability of business unit in supporting operational cost of Yayasan Nurul Hayat. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive case study method. The selections of informant are using purposive sampling method. Data collection was conducted by semi-structured interviews and documentation. This data is analyzed using descriptive method.The result of this study shows that Yayasan Nurul Hayat Employments’ Salary is taken from business unit’s profit. It is also used to give bonus for employments and grow the business unit of Yayasan Nurul Hayat up. From the result of this study, it can be concluded that the business unit which is developed has great capability to support operational cost of Yayasan Nurul Hayat.

This research explains the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI at Senior high school Darut Taqwa Sengonagung Purwosari Pasuruan. This Research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The data collection was through by unstructured and opened interview techniques, unattended and opened observation, and documentation techniques. For analysis and interpretation of data using steps: a). Reduction data, b). Displaying data, and c). Conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the research shows that the internalization of multicultural values ​​in the learning process of PAI through two ways, namely through the material and using methods that reflect multicultural values.

Giving stimulus from educators in the form of giving appreciation and punishment will greatly affect the way of thinking and behavior of students in achieving the goals of character education that have been set. This study aims to describe the implementation of reward and punishment in shaping the character of students' discipline. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of this study indicate: (1) The implementation of rewards in shaping the discipline character of students is done by giving rewards in the form of praise and giving appreciation in the form of gifts. (2) The implementation of punishment in shaping the disciplinary character of students is carried out by giving gradual warnings, giving spontaneous warnings and written warning letters. (3) Evaluation of the implementation of rewards and punishments in shaping the character of students' discipline is using process evaluation, which is an assessment carried out during the learning process by observing the attitudes of students everyday when they are in the madrasa environment.. Keywords: Reward; Punishment; Discipline; Learners Pemberian stimulus dari pendidik berupa pemberian apresiasi dan hukuman akan sangat mempengaruhi cara berpikir dan tingkah laku peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan karakter yang sudah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi reward dan punishment dalam membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi tehnik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Implementasi reward dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik dilakukan dengan memberikan reward dalam bentuk pujian serta memberikan apresiasi dalam bentuk hadiah. (2) Implementasi punishment dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik dilakukan dengan cara memberi peringatan secara bertahap, memberi teguran spontan dan surat peringatan tertulis. (3) Evaluasi implementasi reward dan punishment dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik adalah menggunakan evaluasi proses, yaitu penilaian yang dilakukan di saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan mengamati dari sikap peserta didik sehari-hari ketika berada di lingkungan madrasah. This research aim to answer question. The question is regarding the implementation of zakat distribution to one-family-one-bachelor scholarship program at National Amil Zakat of East Java. The researcher used qualitative approach, spesifically case study type. This research used interview, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The finding of this research indicates that the distribution process at National Amil Zakat Institution of East Java is through transferring the zakat to Mustahik of one-family-one-bachelor scholarship program. BAZNAS that based in regency in East Java is a distribution channel to reach Mustahik outside Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Baznas that based in regency also distributes zakat to the mustahik through transfer as well. At this point, the distribution process in Baznas of East Java is directly distributed to mustahik.

The objective of this study is to understand how employee EI is a critical factor for improved organizational performance. Adopting a qualitative approach with a case study research design, a sample of 40 employees was selected from the organization; data collection was done through a questionnaire after pilot testing. An analysis is done using SPSS, within an interpretative research paradigm using thematic analyses. Findings reflect that understanding and knowledge on EI and its influence on the performance may add value to the organization as employees become aware of the best practices and contribute better for organizational performance. Further, it was also noted that EI is a significant predictor of job and organizational performance only if it is advocated and spearheaded through individual performance classified into the task and contextual performance.

The coronavirus spread has been the main issue among Acehnese people since it occurred.  Every day, people get infected; some people also are starting to recover from the coronavirus. The governments have been working to reduce the risked people and infected victims by providing various personal protective equipment and educating the public about the virus and its threats. Those all require society to obey them, such as wearing masks to avoid being infected or transmit to other people. Until now, the spread of the coronavirus is also very high trending. The Covid-19 task force in Jakarta on February 16th, 2021  recorded that the ratio of coronavirus cases has reached 38.34 percent. This figure shows the highest daily record since the pandemic took place. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed by interviewing several communities in the Johan Pahlawan sub-district, monitoring and observing in the field, and reading relevant sources. The study found a low level of community compliance with health protocols. The use of masks is still very lacking; people only wear masks when raids are carried out on the streets by joint government officials

This study aimed to describe and analyze the role of social capital, as seen from the interrelation of networks, norms, and beliefs in improving the welfare of the community under the indicators of Maqashid Syariah. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Besides, this study has an analysis unit in the form of social capital and improvement of the welfare of the community who received scholarship assistance from Baitul Maal Hidayatullah of Surabaya. Also, data collection was carried out by interview and direct observation of the research object. The analysis technique utilized in this study was an explanatory analysis technique by explaining the results of interviews and direct observation. The study results reveal that social capital with norms, networks, and trust indicators play a role in improving the welfare of the community seen from the aspects of Maqashid Syariah.Keywords: Social capital, Welfare, and Maqashid Syariah

Rumah Baca Apung located in Tambak Lorok Village is a valuable asset belonging to the community that can be used as meeting hall and village library. In fact Rumah Baca Apung has not been utilized optimally in accordance with the function and purpose of building a library. Based on preliminary observations of the researchers, can be knew that the location is more often used as a place for discussion by the local people.Therefore, this study aims to further study the utilization of Rumah Baca Apung and the reasons behind the utilization. This research uses qualitative approach of case study with using data collection technique through interview, documentation study, and observation. The results of this study show that the use of Rumah Baca Apung has not been based on the function of education, research and preservation function of a library. Rumah Baca Apung also has not been used as a place to increase reading habit. Rumah Baca Apung is now used as a place of recreation, a place to discuss, socialize and counsel for the local people. The utilization of Rumah Baca Apung which has not yet represented the function of the village library is due to the limited quantity and quality of the collection books, the lack of educative games equipment, and the absence of learning companion teacher as a volunteer for the coastal children of Tambak Lorok.

This study aims to determine the impact of learning from home (BDR) in career planning for class XI MA NW Samawa students class XI MA NW Samawa and to find out the factores that influence the understanding of career planning during the BDR period. This research approach uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The population in this study were students. .data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research on class XI students at the MA NW Samawa school, the results showed that the implementation of learning from home (BDR) had an impact on career planning for students in class XI MA NW Samawa. .it means that students experience obstacles in planning intensive career planning. Students lack information related to career planning, lack of understanding of students to know themselves, students' unpreparedness in planning their careers. .it means that students have not been able to plan their future careers, students have not understood the steps in career planning which include: recognizing talents, paying attention to interests, paying attention to values, paying attention to personality, and understanding their potential. .This study has proven that the implementation of learning from home (BDR) has an impact on career planning for class XI students at MA NW Samawa.
