AbstractAircraft structural analysis is a process that involves several engineers working concurrently to analyze in detail all structural elements of an airframe, as well as the behavior of the aircraft structure as a whole. The airframe has to be decomposed in its major components such as fuselage sections, wings and control surfaces to allow the distribution of the analyses among the engineers. Finite element models (FEM) are created for each major component and used in the analyses. The major components, such as the wing, are further decomposed into its constituent parts, such as spars, ribs, and stringers; which might be modeled in more detail using dedicated FEMs. It’s a great challenge to manage the evolution of the structural modifications that happen during the course of these analyses. Design changes originated from stress analysis using higher fidelity FEMs have to be transferred to the lower fidelity FEMs and an assembly of the whole airframe FEM needs to be created and analyzed once again, using the correct versions of all the FEMs of the major parts. The objective of this paper is to present the results of the solution implemented by Embraer to overcome these challenges, by using the Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) technology. Embraer embarked on the SPDM journey eight years ago and during past years has matured various aspects of their SPDM implementation. The focus of the paper is on explaining applications of the SPDM system in the area of structural analysis at Embraer with a couple of representative business processes as examples, including the rapid generation and evaluation of aircraft assemblies and the consolidation and standardization of various simulation methods across the organization, by making those available over the SPDM platform. Key enablers for increasing simulation throughput and data traceability at Embraer are described. In addition, the approach that Embraer took for ongoing additions of new business processes to the SPDM system is presented. The results of the SPDM implementation at Embraer are encouraging, showing qualitative and quantitative gains of productivity and management of engineering data. The standardization and automation of engineering processes and the proper management of data generated by these processes are becoming an integral part of any competitive engineering department nowadays.

Abstract In this paper, an evaluation was tried for the impact of structural design on structural response. Several situations are foreseen as the possibilities of changing the distribution of the structural elements (sails, columns, etc.), the width of the structure and the number of floors indicates the adapted type of bracing for a given structure by referring only to its Geometric dimensions. This was done by studying the effect of the technical design of the building on the natural frequency of the structure with the study of the influence of the distribution of the structural elements on the seismic response of the building, taking into account of the requirements of the Moroccan earthquake regulations 2000/2011 and using the ANSYS APDL and Robot Structural Analysis software.

The term «precision forestry» was first introduced and discussed at a conference in 2001. The aims of this paper are to explore the scientific roots of the precision concept, define «precision forestry», and sketch the challenges that the implementation of this new concept may present to practitioners, educators, and researchers. The term «precision» does not mean accuracy on a small scale, but instead refers to the concurrent coordination and control of processes at spatial scales between 1 m and 100 km. Precision strives for an automatic control of processes. Precision land use differs from precision engineering by the requirements of gathering,storing and managing spatio-temporal variability of site and vegetation parameters. Practitioners will be facing the challenge of designing holistic, standardized business processes that are valid for whole networks of firms,and that follow available standards (e.g., SCOR, WoodX). There is a need to educate and train forestry professionals in the areas of business process re-engineering, computer supported management of business transactions,methods of remote sensing, sensor technology and control theory. Researchers will face the challenge of integrating plant physiology, soil physics and production sciences and solving the supply chain coordination problem (SCCP).

The article proposes a methodology for assessing the innovative activity of a company, one of the areas of values of state corporations: «Innovation, innovative development, the ability to upgrade». To evaluate the effectiveness, the principle of decomposition of a global goal was used with its replacement for individual specific tasks according to the designated functional subsystems and objects (blocks) of assessment, which together give a generalized description of technological, technical innovations, their development and use, implementation of the latest digital information technologies, results intellectual research, the development of new business processes, management methods, organizational forms in business practice, as well as ability to sustainable renovation, improvement and prospects for innovative growth of the company and its sustainable renewal.The scoring methodology using the developed criteria boundaries of efficiency from ambitious to low efficiency and with assignment of significance scales by expert means involves the inclusion in each assessment block of six to fifteen traditional and composite author’s indicators, the complexity of which is determined by the complexity of the subject of the study and the described process. The methodology is universal in nature, can be used for large corporations and small companies according to a reduced set of indicators, it can be used in determining ratings.

This study proposes a management model by business processes for science parks based on the premises and concept of enterprise architecture (EA). The model offers integrating business processes with activities and information that can be generated by adopting customized information systems to meet the science parks’ needs. The proposed model’s main contributions included EA as a means for shaping and enabling reconfiguration through descriptions of the structures of business processes and information systems that connect these structures, forming business and information architecture frameworks. In association with these frameworks, the managers need to define a coherent set of patterns, policies, procedures, and principles that sustain the business processes integrated with the information systems. As a result of the study, this model can help management execute and control activities related to business processes in the parks through interaction and alignment with the information system intended to facilitate the execution. The model will also lead to greater agility and efficiency in these business processes, considering their specific nature and the relationship with the parks’ actors. As a practical contribution, knowledge of these processes aids the management of the parks in their drive for a competitive advantage by maintaining and developing their management models.

The article is devoted to the relevance of the development and adoption of the Concept for the development of the Contract System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in order to increase the efficiency of using budget funds and eliminate corruption risks in the implementation of public procurement. The regulatory framework of federal and departmental level was considered, attention was paid to practical aspects of procurement of goods, works and services for the needs of internal affairs bodies, issues of regulation and control are reflected. Structural elements of the Concept, ways to improve the Contract System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia are proposed.

Abstract Blue whales are often characterized as highly stable, open-ocean swimmers who sacrifice maneuverability for long-distance cruising performance. However, recent studies have revealed that blue whales actually exhibit surprisingly complex underwater behaviors, yet little is known about the performance and control of these maneuvers. Here, we use multi-sensor biologgers equipped with cameras to quantify the locomotor dynamics and the movement of the control surfaces used by foraging blue whales. Our results revealed that simple maneuvers (rolls, turns, and pitch changes) are performed using distinct combinations of control and power provided by the flippers, the flukes, and bending of the body, while complex trajectories are structured by combining sequences of simple maneuvers. Furthermore, blue whales improve their turning performance by using complex banked turns to take advantage of their substantial dorso-ventral flexibility. These results illustrate the important role body flexibility plays in enhancing control and performance of maneuvers, even in the largest of animals. The use of the body to supplement the performance of the hydrodynamically active surfaces may represent a new mechanism in the control of aquatic locomotion.

Squid and jellyfish generate propulsive forces by successively taking in and expelling high momentum jets of water. This method of propulsion offers several advantages to underwater vehicles/robots. The driving mechanism can be placed internal to the vehicle, reducing the drag associated with an abundance of external thrusters and control surfaces. The thrusters can generate accurate predictable forcing in the low thrust range, while still generating thrust nearly instantaneously over the entire force range. Vortex ring formation dynamics play an important role in creating thrust. It is observed that squid and jellyfish eject fluid jets which are not exactly parallel, and have a contracting velocity in the radial direction. A prototype thruster was developed which generates both parallel and converging propulsive jets. The total impulse of the jet is determined from DPIV techniques to determine the effect a non-zero radial velocity had on thrust production. The radial velocity was observed to increase the total impulse of the jet by 70% for low stroke ratio jets, and 75% for large stroke ratio jets.

In this paper, we present an approach to development and application of domain-specific modeling (DSM) tools in the model-based management of business processes. The level of Model-to-Text (M2T) transformations in the standard architecture for domain-specific modeling solutions is extended with action reports, which allow synchronization between models, generated code, and target interpreters. The basic idea behind the approach is to use M2T transformation languages to construct submodels, client application components, and operations on target interpreters. In this manner, M2T transformations may be employed to support not only generation of target platform code from domain-specific graphical language (DSGL) models but also straightforward use of models and appropriate DSM tools as client applications. The applicability of action reports is demonstrated by examples from document engineering, and measurement and control systems.

Pemerintah melalui DPRM Ristekdikti mendorong perguruan tinggi untuk menumbuhkembangkan jiwa wirausaha mahasiswa. Hal ini sangat relevan dengan tagline Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK) yang mengusung motto �Santun, Cerdas dan Berjiwa Wirausaha� sehingga diharapkan lulusan UMK nantinya mandiri menciptakan lapangan kerja sendiri. PPK ini dapat menyiapkan mahasiswa agar mandiri secara finansial sebelum mereka lulus, sehingga tidak bergantung pada pekerjaan � pekerjaan yang disediakan oleh pemerintah maupun dunia industri. Tujuan dari program PPK adalah menghasilkan wirausahawan baru. Pada tahun 2019 terwujud 5 usaha baru yang dijalankan oleh 20 mahasiswa dan alumni dari prodi PBI, Manajemen Bisnis, Teknik Mesin dan Agroteknologi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan teknik coaching & mentoring. Usaha � usaha yang dirintis oleh tenant tersebut adalah budidaya adenium, budidaya jamur tiram, angkringan kopi SEKOPPI, angkringan sushi dan steak, serta sablon. Keberhasilan program ini dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, baik faktor pendamping dalam hal ini tim pengabdi maupun faktor mahasiswa. Faktor mahasiswa diantaranya adanya spirit yang lahir dari lingkungan keluarga yang juga memiliki usaha, transformasi nilai yang dilakukan secara akumulatif dalam keluarga dan lingkungan yang mendukung serta adanya bakat yang memungkinkan mahasiswa mudah menerima motivasi untuk melakukan kegiatan yang berorientasi pada munculnya kreativitas dan atau inovasi sebagai ciri utama wirausaha.�Entrepreneurship Development Program (PPK) issued by the Ristekdikti DPRM offers more opportunities for the academic community in higher education to foster entrepreneurial spirit for students in particular. This is very relevant to Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK)�s tagline, "Polite, smart and entrepreneurial". UMK graduates are expected to independently create their own jobs, therefore they will not depend on jobs provided by the government or the industry. PPK aims at creating students to be financially independent as entrepreneurs. In the first year, 2019 PPK program yielded 5 new business tenants among 20 tenants consisting students and alumni of English Education Department, Business Management, Agriculture, and Mechanical Engineering department. To run the program, the methods used were coaching and mentoring. �The businesses which are established by the tenants are Adenium farm, oyster mushroom farm, SEKOPPI coffee shop, sushi and steak, and screen printing. The success of this program is influenced by many factors, both the accompanying factors in this case the service team and student factors. Student factors include the presence of a spirit that is born from a family environment that also has a business, the transformation of values carried out accumulatively in the family and a supportive environment and the talent that allows students to easily receive motivation to carry out activities oriented to the emergence of creativity and or innovation as the main characteristic of entrepreneurship. The program which is arranged must be adjusted to the students� characteristics in the millennium era by maximizing the use of information technology and implemented with an appropriate approach. This conclusion was obtained from observations during the program.
