Today at engineering companies there is the fol-lowing problem: the inconsistency in management decision-making causing high production costs, a longer duration of a production cycle and a nonobservance of timing of orders. To solve this problem the author of this paper has analyzed with system positions produc-tion and management at an engineering company. A system model is offered, there is described an enlarged structure, hierarchy and kinds of ends, a functional model of engineering company management is formed. In the functional model there are presented functions of a company, production and information flows. In the management scheme of a company there are formulated strategies, ends and indices of efficiency in the field of investigations and developments, finances, marketing, production. A production strategy, budget and orders connect the scheme of company management and the scheme of production management. In the scheme of production management there is located a development of processes for decision-making support, scheduling, online planning, production control, material procurement, resources control, servicing management, company shipments. The scheme of production management has two levels: a company level and a workshop one. Functions of online production planning at a company level provide the formation of a production program, plan-schedules of manufacturing products, parts, units, material requirements, manhours, production costs. Functions of on-line production planning at the workshop level ensure the formation of production schedule and working up urgent plan tasks for production sections (brigades). The influence of external and internal factors upon management system formation is described. The technical solutions offered are introduced at the closed company of “UK “Bryansk Engineering Plant” and have a universal character and may be used at all engineering companies of the country.

The acquisition of data on the state of the production process is essential in the management of a company. The ERP system, as well as company management, should be continuously supplied with up-to-date information about the state of the production system, but in many cases there is a gap between the business and manufacturing layers of a company. Data on the state of production orders, machines, materials and human resources have to be automatically acquired, transmitted, archived, pre-processed and converted to a form compatible with business layer systems. There is a need for the development of methodology, describing methods of data acquisition and pre-processing directly from the shop floor. The methodology should be universal, covering the needs of different types of technological processes (discrete, continuous, batch), branches of industry and levels of production automation, etc. This paper presents the methodology of the development of Manufacturing Information Acquisition System (MIAS) covering needs for automated data acquisition, archiving and pre-processing systems, able to provide on-line production processes information for various clients. MIAS can be used as a link between data sources, MES/ERP systems and company management. Furthermore, it can be used as a stand-alone management information tool.

Introduction. The concept, methodology and tools for managing labor productivity in an industrial enterprise through a new model of operational production management are proposed. In this model, the completeness of work-in-progress is managed to create reserves of parts and assembly units at the regulatory level at all stages of the production cycle, taking into account the dynamics of production. The production queue of parts and assembly units is a tool for drawing up operational planning tasks for production sites, maintaining the completeness of the reserves and a key factor in the formation of a time resource for increasing production output. The situational approach to the formation of the production queue takes into account the continuously changing production situations in a multi-product production of different types. Research methods. The concept of labor productivity management at an industrial enterprise is developed on the basis of a systematic analysis of various internal and external factors that affect the organization of rhythmic production and uniform output of finished products in accordance with a given schedule, and their consideration in the new model of operational production management. As the main tools in the system of operational production planning, a dynamic schedule for the production of parts and assembly units and a production queue (the queue for performing technological operations) are accepted. The mechanism of labor productivity management at an industrial enterprise uses a set of managed parameters-indicators for operational planning, accounting and regulation of the completeness of work in progress, production stocks and production costs. The results of the study. The theoretical and methodological foundations of operational management of labor productivity at an industrial enterprise are developed within the framework of a universal system of operational management for multi-nomenclature, multi-type, dynamic production. We propose manageable parameters that allow you to manage the completeness of work in progress, production stocks and production costs, eliminate losses of any kind, and use the saved resources to increase labor productivity at an industrial enterprise in modern conditions. A new dynamic model of operational management of production is constructed, which allows to adapt to constant changes, taking into account the uncertainty and ambiguity of the environment. This model is suitable for digital modeling and planning of production processes. Conclusion. The proposed methodology allows you to perform and create time resources to increase production productivity in an industrial enterprise by maintaining production stocks and complete work-in-progress at the standard level, reducing production costs by saving various resources and reducing the production cycle.

In the days of fierce competition, rapid changes and new technologies, production, and above all, production planning and control cannot be implemented in isolation to changes in the market. The ability to quickly adjust to changes, being flexible is now essential for high tech companies. One of the key area of production management, that must continuously evolve by searching for new methods and tools for increasing the efficiency of decision-making process is the area of production planning and control. In solving the problems associated with production planning are increasingly used advanced simulation programs. They support the planners, especially in situations related to changes in the assortment, or the introduction of new products into the market. A practical example of using the simulation program for production planning is presented in the paper. It is shown that an advanced simulation program can be an effective tool used in decision making area. The construction of the model, and performed experiments are crucial for enterprises where among other things punctuality and flexibility are the most important elements. A short time for the results of the simulation allows for quick response and, if necessary, make changes to the model by planners to achieve the best results with the given parameters associated with the required to complete the production orders.

Abstract. The wild blueberry industry is facing record low berry prices that has resulted in major concerns for growers, especially in Atlantic Canada and the United States. Farm input and other costs to produce wild blueberries continue to increase, while farmers face record low blueberry prices (in 2016 and 2017). The cost-price squeeze has prompted growers to look for innovative methods to remain financially viable and sustainable. To ensure profitable farm operations, farmers should keep detailed production, management, and financial records that can be used to estimate production, harvest, and marketing costs, but such data and records are not typically compiled by wild blueberry farmers. Spreadsheet-based enterprise budgeting tools have been developed for specific crops by provincial and state extension specialists in Canada and the United States. However, currently there is no such decision tool that accounts for the unique two-year production cycle of wild blueberries, which farmers can use to compile and evaluate input use and rates, and assess production costs and farm economic performance. Digitalization affects all sectors of the economy, including agriculture. In addition, agriculture is a sector where the flow of data is very large and their digitization becomes a necessity for making optimal management decisions. The use of digital technologies in the industry is aimed at automating the maximum number of agricultural processes by creating a virtual model of the entire production cycle, and planning and forecasting with a high level of accuracy the schedule of work, crop yields, production costs and profits. Thus, digital technologies significantly change the process of managerial decision-making by the head of an agricultural organization. The purpose of this study is to develop the theoretical foundations of digital agricultural production management. The research methodology was based on monographic, abstract-logical, comparative methods. The study revealed that digitalization of agricultural production requires not only a complete change in production technology, but also a management system. A number of specific features inherent in the management of digital agricultural production are highlighted, which relate to the emergence of possibilities for modeling the production process, making changes to it and developing different scenarios; reducing the degree of influence on the production results of the climatic and human factors; guaranteed receipt of specified production parameters and the dependence of the vital activity of organisms on the work of engineering systems. In the context of digitalization of production, the functions of managing an organization undergo changes: in the framework of planning, which is generally carried out by a person, a significant role is given to forecasting, or rather, the development of scenarios for the possible development of production, which is already carried out by artificial intelligence. The latter also passes the function of monitoring production.

The requirement to achieve effective solutions in the shortest possible time in the manufacturing environment is essential, and it can be solved only by effective production planning methods. The scientific problem is that traditional methods for creating and assessing the production plans are insufficient for the future and it is necessary to look for new alternatives. The planners in the framework of designing the production layouts and subsequent capacity planning of the employees are missing the information, methods and tools for making clear decisions. The production costs in general and especially the costs for the workforce create a large part of the operating costs in many manufacturing enterprises. The scientific goal of the article is to present a design of the system for parametric modelling and assessing the working utilisation of the production staff intended for reducing costs. The described solution is based on object-oriented analysis and contains a methodology of planning and controlling the production process in the industrial environment. The designed methodology was used for developing a planning module of project software and was shown through a case study in a company dealing with the production of automotive components. Effective modelling of the digital copy of the manufacturing system in the software environment is one of the most difficult and important steps for developing reliable information systems for planning and inspection in the industry. The methodology’s results in a company are that the solution can be used as a basis for the aggregate production planning that brings savings and efficiency increases. The research results can be used in any company with strictly defined working positions, working activities, and limiting conditions.
