This research aims to explore about Mukhtar Yahya and his thoughts on the method of Muhadasah in Arabic teaching and learning which was analyzed through behaviorism learning theory. This is a qualitative research using historical and psychological approaches. The historical approach is used since Mukhtar Yahya as the figure being discussed had passed away. While the psychological approach is used to analyze Muktar Yahya’s Muhadasah method. The results show that, first, Mukhtar Yahya was a figure who had a big role for the birth of the State Islamic College (PTAIN) and Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic Institute (IAIN). During his role in PTAIN and IAIN Sunan Kalijaga, Mukhtar Yahya held important positions; even he frequently took on double positions in IAIN. In his academic career, Mukhtar Yahya was a highly qualified intellectual in the fields of religion and Arabic language. His ability was influenced by his intellectual brilliance and accompanied by a high spirit in studying religion. Second, the psychological approach shows that the Mukhtar Yahya’s Muhadasah method was strongly influenced by behaviorism learning theory. Although Mukhtar Yahya did not state explicitly that his methods were influenced by behaviorism learning theory, the theory was highly visible in the learning steps. In this method, learning process will occur by the presence of stimulus which then produces learning responses from students.

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan karena proses pembelajaran di laboratorium Biologi IAIN STS Jambi yang masih minim sarana prasarana yang ada di laboratorium, sehingga menghambat proses pembelajaran khususnya untuk mata kuliah Morfologi Tumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan buku ajar praktikum dan mengetahui praktikalitasnya. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan 4-D Models yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate. Karena adanya keterbatasan waktu dan biaya maka tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa buku ajar praktikum yang divalidasi oleh validator. Produk yang telah divalidasi dan dinyatakan valid oleh validator, kemudian diujicobakan pada proses pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk melihat nilai praktis buku ajar praktikum di laboratorium Biologi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah data deskriptif untuk memvalidasi perangkat pembelajaran oleh pakar pendidikan. Selain itu juga diteliti data praktikalitas penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran ini yang diperoleh dari observasi dosen dan respon siswa. Nilai validitas produk 83,31% yang dikategorikan valid. Sementara nilai kepraktisan berdasarkan data observasi keterlaksanaan SAP, angket respon dosen dan siswa dikategorikan sangat baik atau sangat praktis. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran di Laboratorium Biologi yang dikembangkan adalah valid dan sangat praktis digunakan baik dosen maupun siswa. Kata Kunci : Pengembangan, buku ajar praktikum, laboratorium biologi Abstract [The development of a course book for plant morphology at biology laboratory] This research was triggered by the limited facilities of the biology laboratory at the State Institute of Islamic Studies Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi which became a constrain in the teaching and learning process of Plant Morphology classroom sessions. The objective of this research was to develop a course book as well as to reveal its practicality. The researcher did a research and development using 4-D Models consisting of four stages namely; define, design, develop, and disseminate. Considering the limitation of time and finance, the disseminate stage was not executed. The test revealed the validity score of the product was 83,31% which categorized as good. For its practicality, the product was considered as very good based on observation of lesson plan execution and lecturers’ and students’ response. In summary, the course book developed for the course at Biology Laboratory was categorized as valid and practical to be used by both students and lecturers. This study aims to explain the application of hypnoteaching method in spiritual values learning. This type of research is library research. This research is qualitative research. The primary source used in this study is the thought of Muhammad Noer in his book entitled Hypnoteaching For Success Learning. This research concludes that the hypnoteaching method is a learning method that combines teaching and learning with hypnosis. This method can be used as one of the methods in the process of learning spiritual values. In its application, the hypnoteaching method emphasizes the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of students through positive suggestions. The objective of this research is to know new decisions about the teaching and learning process in the context of the pandemic in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. The pandemic suspended classroom classes at more than 200 schools, causing the reorganization of pedagogical practices in distance education. The result was the applicability of the Special Regime of Non-Attendance Classes adopted by the Government of Amazonas (Aula em Casa Project). It is concluded that new directions can be taken from formal education in view of this new reality.

The object of education is human being. Undersanding student developmental psychology is essential in teaching and learning process. The research entitled “The Implementation of Teaching and Learning for Islamic Education Subject (Fiqh) Based on Cognitive Developmental Psychology Levels In MTsN Malang 1” is intentionally aimed to explore how the teaching and learning on Islamic studies (Fiqh) could be implemented by considering the students developmental psychology.  This is descriptive qualitative research utilizing two perspectives as theoretical bases, Islamic perspective refers to Prophet Muhammad theory, and western perspective refers to Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky theories. The research begins by finding the problems, then breaking theories down to be reasearch instrument and comparing it as applied in model school, MTsN Malang 1. The result, based on both Islamic and western perspective theories, shows supports. Teaching and learning process are considered to implement interactive and cooperative models. Interactive model is implemented by utilizing learning technology such as LCD-projector and computer to show audio-visual contents, quiz creator and edmodo. And cooperative model is implemented not only by learning technology, but also language development applied in mapping and presentation set. Analysis result shows that teaching and learning based on cognitive developmental levels gives more understanding for most students’ proved by students’ interest and excellent score. The novelty is that the research used developmental psychology which specified on cognitive to be applied in Islamic Education subject (Fiqh).

In general, the term learning is understood as the teacher's conscious effort to help students so that they can learn according to their interests and needs. The more aware and professional a teacher is in educating, the better the quality of students and vice versa. Another term that is combined with learning in this article is theory. In a general sense, the method is often associated with a set of concepts, ideas, and procedures that can be learned, analyzed, and verified. So, learning theory is a collection of thoughts, ideas, systems in which how to practice the learning process between teacher and student and other elements related to learning activities. Learning theory itself can be interpreted as a theory that contains procedures for how a teacher applies teaching and learning activities, which will later be used to students both inside and outside the classroom.

This study was conducted as an attempt to investigate in what step of scientific approach theteachers most frequently use translation in English Language Teaching as well as to find out the teachers’reasons toward the use of translation in English Language Teaching based on scientific approach atSMP Negeri 4 Singaraja and SMP Negeri 5 Singaraja. It was conducted in qualitative research design.There were two teachers chosen as the subjects of study. The data were collected through audio recordingthe teaching and learning process and interviewing the subjects of study, while the techniques ofanalyzing data were done descriptively following the four processes according to the theory of Miles &Huberman (1984), namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Theresults of analysis indicated that the teachers most frequently used translation in exploring step of scientificapproach. In addition, there were seven teachers’ reasons found in relation to the use of translationin the classroom, namely to help the students’ difficulty in: (1) understanding the instruction given bythe teacher, (2) understanding the English vocabulary, (3) asking something in English, (4) understandingthe tenses or grammar, (5) understanding the material deeply, (6) doing the task, and (7) presentingtheir work. The related parties interested in the same area of the research should give deeper concern indoing wider range of aspects involved in further study.Keywords : Translation, the Use of L1 in ELT, Scientific Approach

A integração de ambientes virtuais e seus aplicativos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem possibilitam novas proposições aos alunos, bem como diversificam e apoiam as ações do professor. A presente pesquisa caracterizada como qualitativa analisou como 10 professores, de uma escola particular da cidade de Londrina (PR), consideram o uso do fórum de discussão para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem escolar presencial. Para a coleta de dados foram aplicadas quatro questões abertas. Os resultados indicaram que os fóruns, apesar de ainda serem pouco utilizados pelo grupo entrevistado, mostraram-se uma ferramenta muito útil para despertar no estudante o interesse por participar das atividades propostas pelo professor emitindo sua opinião e instigando o debate entre os colegas. Além disso, possibilita a articulação dos conteúdos presenciais da sala de aula com novos debates decorrentes das discussões, que transcendem para outros ambientes de aprendizagem. Palavras-chave: Ensino. Fórum. AbstractThe integration of virtual environments and their applications in the teaching and learning process offers new propositions to the students and it also diversifies and supports the teacher’s actions. The present qualitative research analyzed how ten teachers from a private school in the city of Londrina (PR), consider the use of the discussion forum for the process of onsite teaching and learning. For the data collection, four open-ended questions were applied. The results indicated that the forums, although still not frequently used by the interviewed group, proved to be a very useful tool to awaken the students’ interest in participating in the activities proposed by the teacher, expressing their opinions and instigating the debate among the classmates. In addition, it makes it possible to articulate classroom contents with new debates resulting from discussions that transcend to other learning environments. Keywords: Teaching. Learning. Forum.

The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic witnessed a significant consumption of digital contents. Teaching and learning activities, including at the State Elementary School, Pamulang, Barat, shifted to online domains. Whatsapp was consequently the initial means of engaging the students, but eventually appeared relatively monotonous and boring. This community service intends to provide a quality learning resource on the creation of video contents, using Filmora and Youtube applications. Ultimately, the overall goal is to produce highly creative and innovative teachers. These materials were delivered using sound or captivating animations. Consequently, teachers were sufficiently equipped to generate interesting videos that potentially increase students’ interest and interaction during the online learning process.

<em>This research aims to improve the teaching and learning process and improve the results of learning math on the material flat-wake up with the method resides of Class VII JUNIOR HIGH Technology nation's pillars of Tangerang. This type of research is qualitative research i.e. Research action class (PTK), the learning model used was the model MC Taggart and Kemmis. The application of this method is done in the III cycle. Cycle I gained an average rating of 57 students.  cycle II obtained an average score of 65 students. Cycle III average student gained 81. A summary of this research is to study with the method resides was able to improve the results of student learning and fun for students.</em>

In the second language, speaking is a basic skill in learning language, because language it selft is speech, a person not considered of mastering the language except by mastering the speaking. The students of Babun Najah not only found difficult in speaking Arabic language but got borred as well. Thus, student had a very low ability. It was caused by the disagreement between method used by teacher and do not use the interesting media according to students’ condition, it makes the students felt bored, lack of attention to the subject; even some of them spoke during the teaching and learning process. So the learning process runs ineffectively. This resulted in the limit ability of students to speak Arabic. Based on this problem that has been studied by the researchers, so we need for solution to overcome these problems, including: applying the Retelling Story method with the serial images in teaching Arabic language to reach the purposes of teaching speaking skills, in hopes of increasing student ability in speaking skills by combining these two variables. The purposed of this research is to know students’ responses to speaking skills and students’ abilities in speaking Arabic language using the retelling method and serial pictures in Babun Najah Banda Aceh boarding school. Quantitative supported by qualitative approach along with experimental method was used by the researcher. Purposive sampling was used to find the second graders of II-C as a control class and II-D as an experimental class that was consisted of 23 students. The results are that students’ response toward Retelling story Method with the pictures series is well, and the use of Retelling story Method with the pictures series was effective and it gave a good impact on students of  Babun Najah Banda Aceh boarding school, which the result from the t-test relate calculation is greater than t-table result, that is 1,69 < 1,93.
