In the present qualitative study, conducted with the phenomenology design, that data were collected from 94 pre-service teachers attending different departments at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Education during the 2018-2019 academic year fall semester in Turkey. Data were collected with semi-structured interview form and written interview form, developed by the author. Collected data were analyzed by using content analysis method and classified under themes. Analyses demonstrated that pre-service teachers assigned different meanings to artificial intelligence, felt basically negative emotions for artificial intelligence, and did not want to live in a world ruled by artificial intelligence. Furthermore, it was found that pre-service teachers considered that artificial intelligence could have both several benefits and risks, and it might have both positive and negative effects on education. Based on the study findings, various recommendations were presented for future studies and implementations on the topic.

This study concerns the importance of preventive implementations for physical, psychological, and sexual child abuse through curriculum. Therefore, the study has examined the interpretations of primary education teachers on one of the attainments of Safe Life unit in Life Sciences course that has been recently revised and put into force for 2017-2018 academic year. 12 volunteer primary education teachers participated in the study. The study was conducted with phenomenology design of qualitative research method. Semi-structured interview forms were developed and applied by the researcher as the data collection. The data were transcribed first and then analyzed through descriptive and content analysis. The findings have highlighted that most of the teachers have not associated the objective with child abuse issue, on the contrary, they have interpreted it as a precaution for physical harms and damages (accidents, injuries, wounds, etc.) and communication in respect (asking for permission before speaking, behave respectfully to elders, etc.). Additionally, teachers have mentioned that they have not been in any training either in pre-service or in-service education related to child abuse. It has been noticed that child abuse issue has not been properly touched upon in educational field. It is hoped to draw attention to the topic in education with this study. Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.

The prospective teachers were asked the following questions: what are the reasons of the emergence of the concept of SD, what are the goals of the concept of SD and what are the criticisms of the concept of SD. They were required to answer the questions in writing and the written answers were analysed via content analysis. The findings obtained through content analysis were divided into categories related to the concept of SD, and then the themes were defined. Prospective teachers’ understanding of the concept of SD was categorised into three (namely general reasons, environmental reasons and social reasons). Keywords: Content analysis, prospective teachers, sustainable development, understanding, qualitative study.

The investigation managed to discover factors of delay which were ranked by using content analysis. The most significant client-related factor is a poor planning at initial stage by client, followed by late of payment by client, lack of awareness by client on latest progress done by staff, improper consultant selection by client, client select contractor with a weak cash flow, poor attitude of contractor selected by client, late of payment by client, lack of knowledge by client, new proposal request by new hired officer and lack of financial strength. This finding is very useful for practitioners in construction sector and very important for practitioners to be aware on these factors and focus to improve the cause of delay among client.

The purpose of this study was to examine the opinions of engineering students from various departments regarding the progress tracking and digital badge features applied in courses in the Learning Management System (LMS). The phenomenological design which is a qualitative research method is used in this study. Online forms with close and open questions were used to collect data. The study was conducted with a total of 226 students, who studied in 5 different departments. The data is subject to content analysis. According to the research results, students stated that the features tested triggered motivation to complete assignments and develop other students. As for the opinion of some students that these features should be held in every course in the LMS. Despite the general view of an LMS equipped with these features (Moodle), their general view of the features, especially the progress tracking feature and digital badges is quite good. What needs to be questioned is the willingness of lecturers and policymakers to apply it consistently in the campus environment.

The semi-structured interview was used as a data collection technique. The discourses were subjected to content analysis, following the steps of Grounded Theory. The results highlight the abundant fears related to use of water during menstruation, with very harmful effects to health. As a conclusion to highlight the lack of women's knowledge about reproductive health and that despite Health Education campaigns there are still ancient misconceptions present about menstruation.
