This research uses a qualitative approach with qualitative content analysis as a method to describe the hoaxes and the meaning of digital literacy competencies that are visualized in a comic strip distributed through an Instagram account @komikfunday. A total of 25 comic strips act as an analysis unit with subunits containing textual and non-textual comic elements from each comic strip panel. Qualitative interpretation of the content is divided into two levels namely the explicit meaning and the implicit meaning. Digital literacy competencies are adapted from the ten competencies developed by the Indonesian Digital Literacy Advocacy Networks (Japelidi). The result shows that the explicit meaning of each content is a mission to eradicate hoaxes along with tips and strategies that apply to all people. Also, the implicit meaning that is related to digital literacy competencies consists of six competencies called selecting, understanding, analyzing, verifying, evaluating and distributing. Overall, it can be interpreted that @komikfunday has fully integrated the competencies needed by each individual as a provision to fight hoaxes. Thus, it is expected to be present to encourage creative, innovative and collaborative movements in increasing the digital literacy competencies of the Indonesian people massively and evenly.

The research was related to figurative language but the researchers focused on simile, aimed at identifying the dominant type of simile used based on the theory put forward by Kennedy and Giola. Simile is a comparison of one thing to another which is always listed because the words "like" or as are used. Simile is also commonly used in song lyrics and this is referred to as the object of the research, that is the song lyrics taken by Lenka’s song Everything at Once. The researchers take this song because all the lyrics are full of similes, from the beginning to the end of the song. Qualitative content analysis as the use of replicable and valid methods to make specific inferences from the text to other circumstances or properties of the source under the Descriptive Qualitative Approach, pioneered by Krippendorff  is applied here. The results show that there are two types of simile in this song and the dominant types used in this song is close simile.

During life-threatening situations such as the Covid-19 pandemic, disinformation is rife. While people project their affective aspects into understanding the situation, their fear of Covid-19 interferes with their logical and reasonable assessment of disinformation. Less credible information such as rumors becomes reliable for some people. This study aims to map the disinformation category based on the Ministry of Communication and Information report from January to March 2020. There are 359 hoaxes with five categories and 30 sub-categories. This study uses qualitative content analysis as a method. The study results revealed that most of the disinformation during the Covid-19 pandemic was related to the spread of hoaxes on health issues. This research implies that several recommendations are made to respond to the urgency of handling disinformation during Covid-19 in Indonesia, such as initiating digital literacy and media literacy in the national education system.

Many businesses face avoidable strategic and external risks that can be addressed by accepting, relocating, reducing, or eliminating them. Companies of all sizes should predict and prepare for the risks that come with doing business. When a scenario becomes a reality, a well-prepared organisation can mitigate sales, lost time and productivity, and negative impact on customers. They can assist in the safety of an organisation and its employees by offering a fully integrated threat management system that offers real-time threat impact assessments that the corporation can use to fulfil its duty of care obligations and keep employees safe. These systems are based on robust systems such as DEFCON, HSAS, and NTAS. In analogy to the application in Military and Anti-Terrorism, the systems DEFCON, HSAS or NTAS to the specific application, define the comprehensive explanations and define corresponding actions at each threat level. This article deals with the question, if the deployment of DEFCON, HSAS/NTAS is a suitable approach to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015. To answer the given research-question the method of qualitative content analysis was used as outlined by Mayring. Six main codes and twelve subcodes were defined inductively and deductively, and the present literature was encoded according to the method of structured content analysis. To this end, 765 codings were carried out and then analysed in the context of the research questions. As a result, the research question was confirmed by the present study.
