AbstractIn the current context, martial arts continue to evolve and constantly develop, capturing the attention and the interest of the population of the entire world, the branch of these being diversified, offering individuals the possibility to be practiced, even by those with physical or mental disabilities. Nowadays, the large categories of armed forces of the world use martial arts as part of general physical training, with the purpose of self-defence against the enemy, discipline, improved physical and mental condition, improvement of the ability of the military to adapt to harsh conditions, as well as fighting without using weapons.

The experience of combat operations conducting in the eastern part of Ukraine in 2014-2020 convincingly demonstrated the need to increase the requirements for professional training of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Physical training is one of the main subjects of professional training and an important means of psychophysical readiness formation of servicemen of various military specialties for modern extreme professional and combat activities. The aim of the study is to examine the efficiency of the experimental academic program of the discipline of Physical Education, and Special Physical Training concerning the formation of psychophysical readiness of cadets of technical higher military educational institutions for future professional and combat activity. The study was conducted at S. P. Koroliov Zhytomyr Military Institute. 120 male cadets participated in the experiment. An experimental group (EG), which consisted of the cadets who were studying according to the experimental working academic program of the discipline (n=60), and a control group (CG), which included the cadets studying according to the current working academic program of the discipline (n=60) were formed. The criteria of the efficiency of the experimental program are determined to be the indicators of general and special physical fitness of cadets and the level of professionally important psychological qualities. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. It was discovered that conducting classes according to the experimental program contributed to the improvement of the level of development of the cadets’ special physical qualities, mastering military-applied skills, the formation of professionally important psychological qualities. The most significant changes in EG cadets occurred in overcoming obstacle course, holding the angle on parallel bars, holding the body in a horizontal position, tests for determination of attention distribution and volume, mental performance – at the end of the experiment, and the indicators of EG cadets were significantly (p˂0.05-0.001) better than those of CG.It proves the necessity of correcting the academic program of Physical Education and Special Physical Training for senior cadets with the aim of their psychophysical readiness formation for future professional and combat activity.

We analyze the content of components of The Navy of the Russian Federation as a type of the state armed forces. The methodological basis of this analysis was the interpretation of the concept of “content” in the context of the fact that it represents a set of elements that form the system of their interactions and the perspective changes caused by them. On the basis of the study of specialties of the Navy we produce a generalized integration of homogeneous types of professional activities of soldiers, based on the analysis of more than 300 heterogeneous names. It is specified that the Navy of the Russian Federation at the present stage of evolutionary development is a set of five relatively interrelated and mutually conditioned units: underwater forces and surface ships; flight-lifting structure of naval aviation; marines, combat swimmers, reconnaissance, sabotage and other special units; coastal anti-aircraft missile and artillery units; support services, radio engineering, communications, rear area, engineers and equipment, including naval aviation. The above-mentioned integration of the common structure of combat operations of specialists for the purpose is the basis for the development and availability of five appropriate utilized programs for physical training, since the physical readiness of military personnel is an integral part of the system of combat improvement of the fleet. Beyond the range of specialties we reveal the feasibility of separate sixth program of physical training for units of the Navy of the Russian Federation, involving, if necessary, to implement the peacekeeping functions in the areas of likely military action. The above approach of justification of the required optimal number of physical training programs on the management scale of fleet forces of the Russian Federation is for the first time applied in the theory and technique of physical training of the military personnel.

One of the important branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the engineering troops, the units of which are always present in the organization and conduct of combat operations. The servicemen of these units do a great job of fortifying combat positions, building barriers and obstacles, masking and covering military positions with mine explosive devices, arranging water crossings, helping in organizing shelters for manpower and equipment. The theory and especially the practice of military engineers show the need to improve not only theoretical knowledge, skills and practical skills, but also to have a high level of development of general and special physical qualities. Among the many studies of physical fitness of cadets of different military specialties, there is a lack of studies of engineering cadets. The research carried out earlier concerned mainly the operator specialties of the engineering troops. Military mechanical engineers and command personnel have not been investigated at all. The purpose and objectives of the research are aimed at finding ways to improve the level of physical and psychophysiological readiness of cadets of the Higher Educational Institutions of Higher Education - future specialists of the engineering profile and determining the influence of the author's program of physical training on their professional readiness. The research methods used included theoretical methods (analysis and generalization of literary sources), pedagogical (observation, testing, experiment), methods of mathematical statistics for processing experimental data and assessing reliability. During the academic year, 60 cadets of the National Academy of Ground Forces (mechanical engineers and commander engineers) took part in the study, divided into experimental and control groups by the method of paired comparisons. The experimental group performed a specially developed physical training program with the inclusion of applied exercises. As a result of one-year training following the results of control tests, cadets of the experimental group have significantly better indicators of psychophysiological, physical (especially strength) and professional training than cadets of the control group at the level of p <0.05. Conclusions. It has been determined that for mechanical engineers and commanders for their professional activities, good strength training is important. Sense of temporal, power and spatial parameters in all subjects is approximately at the same level. EG cadets significantly improved the results of physical and psychophysiological fitness. It was found that the existing program of physical training at VVUZ does not sufficiently contribute to the high-quality special training of engineering cadets. The proposed content of exercises and the scheme of distribution of loads for a week and a month can be used to develop programs for special physical training for specific engineering specialties. Introduction. Physical training is the most important element of the combat readiness of the troops, its goals and objectives are defined by the Manual on Physical Training in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The solution of these tasks should contribute to the formation of military personnel's readiness to endure extreme physical and mental stress during the preparation and conduct of combat operations. Comprehensive provision of physical training in the troops requires the hard work of various services, including the medical service.The purpose of the study. Identify problematic issues of medical support for physical training and sports events in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and identify ways to solve them.Materials and methods. The article uses the materials of the work of medical and nursing teams in the medical provision of physical training of units of the Southern Military District from 2016 to 2019. Additionally, the data of an in-depth medical examination of the personnel of some units of the district subordination for 2018 were used.Results and discussion. When analyzing the work of visiting medical and nursing teams during the medical support of passing the standards for physical training, a number of problematic issues were identified. First, there are always military personnel who regularly do not engage in physical training and during the delivery of standards make excessive efforts and work at the limit of their capabilities. Secondly, some exercises are very dangerous, either in terms of injuries or the likelihood of developing complications from the cardiovascular system. All this applies to the medical support of the competition. As an example, the championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in fire and rescue sports, held from 3 to 6 September 2019 in Rostov-on-Don on the territory of the garrison fire brigade, is given. The program of the competition included passing the obstacle course, climbing the training tower, extinguishing the fire, etc., all very traumatic. Therefore, for the medical support of these competitions, a medical and nursing team of the resuscitation profile was allocated on a reanimobile with specialized stowage, respiratory and oxygen equipment.Conclusion. It is necessary to strictly monitor the correctness of the definition of the group of physical training and the gradual increase in physical activity in order to avoid complications and further progression of diseases or even deaths in military personnel. It is impossible to approach formally the conduct of an in-depth medical examination of military personnel.

Summary Observing the development of physical training classes of the Army throughout history, from the Army of the Principality of Serbia to the Serbian Armed Forces of today, it can be said that, in addition to other program segments, gymnastics was the fundamental factor of physical exercise in the overall process of practical and military training. This development was accompanied by frequent changes in the realization of physical training (program contents, number of hours, methodical procedure, etc.), which again depended on the needs of the army, in other words, on the objective of the training - which was aimed at achieving optimal physical abilities for the performance of military duties in all circumstances. The first written facts about the use of gymnastics in the Army of the Principality of Serbia originate from the period of the founding of the Artillery School (in 1850, a predecessor of the Military Academy), where the basis of physical training consisted of the following contents: fighting, gymnastics, swimming, fencing and riding. A little later, in 1867, within the physical training, gymnastic exercises were performed and were the forerunners of today's morning workout, which is even today an integral part of the training of members of the Army of Serbia. The problem of this research work relates to the implementation of the development of gymnastics in the process of training from the Army of the Principality of Serbia to the Serbian Army.The aim of this paper is to indicate the permanent implementation of the contents of gymnastics in the educational process of military structures as well as temporary changes according to the specific requirements of the upgrading of military and professional-specialized skills of military personnel in view of research of relevant materials and data collected. A historical method was used in this study. Research results show the importance and role of gymnastics as a basis of physical exercise for the improvement of the physical abilities of soldiers as the basic element of combat readiness.
