The concept of learning and education is undergoing a rapid change. Learning has to be an enjoyable experience for the learners. Learning can be converted into a fun filled activity. Here, comes the role of games in the learning situations in classrooms. Children of all age love playing games all the time. They will enjoy their learning experience if it is done through playing games. Games can be either physical or mental activities or both. The study is an attempt to find out the influence of Chess and Sudoku on cognitive abilities of school students of secondary level. The method chosen for the study is descriptive survey method. The sample for the study comprises of 350 students from various schools in Kottayam District. The statistical measures used for the study are mean, percentage, S.D, and t-test. It was found that Chess and Sudoku players scored high in cognitive abilities test than the non-players. Boys are more interested in playing Chess and Sudoku than girls. CBSE private schools have more players than Govt. aided schools. Also it was found that trained Chess players scored high in cognitive abilities test than the untrained players.

<span lang="EN-US">The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the role of beach tourism in sustainable living of rural families of the Mahmoud Abad Township that this study from the manner of goal is applicable-developmental and is based on the descriptive-survey method. The required data in this research regarding the type of method, is collected as a questionnaire that the people under study in this section are the total families inhabiting the beach villages in the area that the volume of the people under study has been selected using the Cochrane formula as 369 individuals and the field data were collected by the standard questionnaire. The results gathered were analyzed using the statistical examinations of Freedman, one-sided Chi-square, Wilcoxon, spearman, Kendal and Kramer. In the economic analysis section regarding all aspects we have come to this point that beach tourism has influenced the economic aspect of the lives of inhabitants and has improved their economic condition up to a point. Regarding the social and cultural state and with evaluation of related issues to this section, the state of being effected from non-native cultures and the culture of inhabitants being influenced has been evaluated and in relation with environmental circumstances regarding the observations and the state of the area and utilizing the statistical examinations of Wilcoxon results, it should be stated that environmental changes has occurred in a negative way in beaches after tourists’ arrival.</span>

With special reference to Maldives the secondary school student’s academic achievement is studied in the present study in relation to their problem solving ability and examination anxiety. In the present study descriptive survey method was used to obtain pertinent and precise information. The objectives of the study were to explore the relationship between academic achievement and examination anxiety and the relationship between academic achievement and problem solving ability. Study also evaluated the difference of female and male student’s academic achievement, problem solving ability and examination anxiety. The sample of the study consists of 200 secondary school students of Maldives. 100 males and 100 females were randomly selected to participate in the study. Two standardized questionnaire and previous years mark sheet of the participants collected as data for the research. Examination Anxiety scale and Problem Solving Ability scale were administered on 10 different secondary schools of Maldives. The study concluded that there exists no significant difference between male and female students in academic achievement, problem solving ability and examination anxiety. The study also revealed that there exists a positive correlation between academic achievement and problem solving ability and also showed that there exists a negative correlation between examination anxiety and academic achievement.

The purpose of this article is to find out what young people think about the image of the family and marriage they have encountered in social media. The publication will present the results of research using the diagnostic survey method. The use of this method allowed for the collection of data necessary to solve specific research problems. The research was carried out on 116 secondary school students, including 84 girls and 32 boys. All respondents are residents of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship. The research involved a survey on the respondents’ perception of the image of marriage and family that reached them through social networks. In addition, the respondents' views on the possible impact of the discussed image of marriage and family on people who are in adolescence were analysed, as well as a description of photos, graphics and jokes that the respondents remembered. The conclusion presents the results from the conducted research. It presents the postulates concerning both the possibility of using the positive potential of social media and the negative phenomena related to the growing popularity of websites, which very often promote anti-values and undermine the traditional role of marriage and family.

This study investigated adolescents’ awareness of the various ways of human trafficking and preventive strategies among secondary school students in Oyo metropolis. Two research questions and two hypotheses were raised to guide the study. Descriptive survey method was adopted to carry out the study. Stratified random sampling technique was employed to select 250 respondents for the study. A researcher designed questionnaire titled ‘Knowledge of Human Trafficking and Preventive Strategies Questionnaire’ (KOHTPSQ); was used as instrument for data collection. The research questions were answered using mean, while the research hypotheses were tested using the z-test statistics at 0.05 level of confidence. The findings showed that male and female students of secondary schools in Oyo metropolis are to a great extent, aware of the ways by which human can be trafficked. A significant difference existed in the knowledge of the ways by which human are being trafficked. It was recommended that counsellors should organise group counselling session/workshop/seminar/ conferences for adolescents’ and parents to educate them on various ways human can be trafficked. Also, government should intensify effort on preventive strategies against human trafficking.

    This study aimed to identify the role of strategic planning in the achievement of administrative excellence.  To achieve this objective, the study researchers used the descriptive survey method where the questionnaire has used as a tool for the study. The sample of the study was randomly selected nd. Consisted from 41 female leaders of public elementary schools in Central Riyadh. The result of the study showed that the level of administrative excellence was significant. The study also showed that there is a direct correlation statistically significant at level (0.01) between strategic planning and administrative excellence in Riyadh's elementary schools. Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences between the mean responses of family members on strategic planning (in different variables: job and years of experiences) and administrative excellence in public elementary school. The researchers recommended the establishment of workshops and training courses in the field of strategic planning for school leaders in order to increase the efficiency of applying the strategic planning, the awareness of it and its effective contribution in achieving strategic planning in schools. Finally, it plays a noticeable role in practicing both general planning and strategic planning in particular.

In the present research, we have taken an attempt to study stress levels among higher secondary school students during the COVID-19 period. This research aimed at studying the psychological stress level among higher secondary students during the COVID pandemic and the variations in the psychological stress among students in terms of gender, caste, locality. It also investigated the effect of gender, caste and locality, and their interaction on the stress of higher secondary school students. The descriptive survey method was used in this study. Approximately 151 students as samples were taken for the study. The sample was delimited to higher secondary students Bargarh and Sambalpur districts of Odisha. A standardized stress scale was used to collect data. The data were collected through online mode using google form as the study was conducted in the COVID era. The obtained data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical tests like percentages, t-test, and ANOVA. The findings of the study revealed that 68% of students experienced moderate levels of stress, 17% of students experienced high levels of stress, and 15% of students experienced a low level of stress. The results of the t-test indicated no significant variations in the psychological stress of secondary school students with reference to their gender, caste, and locality. The results of ANOVA revealed no significant interaction influence among gender, caste, and locality on the psychological stress of higher secondary school students. As the study was conducted in the COVID era, and demographic variables like gender, caste, and streams of education were taken altogether, so this represents the novelty of the work.

In this study, it is aimed to evaluate life quality of university students who do sport and don’t do sport, considering the effects of sport on life quality and common usage of the topic. Study’s working group who used descriptive survey method is consisted of 100 Gazi University, physical education and sports higher school students and 100 Gazi University, faculty of science and literature students, totally 200 students,. In this study, Personal information form and Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) whose adaptation was done by Kucukdeveci and his friends and whose reliability practiced and developed by Hunt and his friends was used as a data collection tool. At the end of study, university students’ life qualities can be seen different according to the condition of doing sport, in positive way statistically. It is concluded that total life quality, energy level, ache, emotional reaction, social isolation, sleeping and physical activity level is significantly high (p < 0.05) for someone who do sports.    Keywords: Life Quality; Sports; University Student

The researchers used the descriptive survey method. The study instrument consisted of the questionnaire which included (20) items, and the study sample individuals consisted of (72) male and female teachers. Results of the study showed that the role of social studies in developing consumption education in secondary schools during Corona pandemic (COVID – 19) came at high degree. the researchers have detected presence of differences between means of the teachers, answers on all fields of the questionnaire according to sex variable in favor of the females, presence of differences between means of the teachers’ answers on all fields of the questionnaire by the academic qualification variable in favor of the graduate studies, and the absence of differences between means of the teachers' answers to all fields of the questionnaire according to years of experience variable. This research work has aimed at investigating the level of political awareness among the Al Ain University students and the role of the university in boosting it by using the descriptive survey method. Indeed, this study has relied upon the questionnaire and the interview as research tools, as well as on the intentional sample where 10 teaching team members were interviewed to answer the third question, and on the random sample where the questionnaire was distributed among 980 students- males and females to answer the first and second questions. The findings of this study revealed that there was a considerably high level of political awareness among the university students. It was also found that there were differences in the level of political awareness among students depending on the faculty, which favoured the students belonging to faculties of humanities. The differences also favoured male students when the variable was gender and 4th year students when the variable was the year of study. In addition, the study showed that the university played 15 important roles in developing political awareness as was unanimously agreed by the members of the sample. These roles were identified by using recurrences and percentages ranging between 50 and 90%, while those with percentages lower than 50% were not taken into account.   Received: 17 December 2020 / Accepted: 26 January 2021 / Published: 5 March 2021

The study aimed to real the role of voluntary work in the development of leadership skills among school students in the directorate of education of Al-Tayyeba and Al-Wasatia Also, This study relied on the descriptive survey method. Moreover, The study population consisted of (4052) male and female students from the eighth, ninth and tenth grades. The sample of the study was chosen by stratified random stratified method representing the study population, The sample of the study was (413) male and female students, The study used the questionnaire as a tool for the study to reach its goals; statistical program (SPSS) was used to process data statistically. Furthermore, The results of the study showed that The role of voluntary work in developing leadership skills among school came largely As the study recommended, to allocate a student project concerned with volunteering for each student in the basic stage in the service of society, and to strengthen the partnership between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Development.
