In this article we propose two research techniques that can bridge the gap between quantitative and qualitative historical research. These are: (1) a multiple regression approach that gives information about general patterns between numerical variables and the selection of outliers for qualitative analysis; (2) a homogeneity analysis with alternating least squares that results in a two-dimensional picture in which the relationships between categorical variables are graphically presented.

Hisab and rukyat is a way to know the turn of the month. This study shows several findings. First is the correlation between Kuraib traditions and differences in the determination of the beginning of Ramadan, Shawwal, and Dhul-Hijjah in Indonesia. Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has stated that Indonesia as a whole into a single jurisdiction (wilayatul hukmi). Second, on the success rukyat alhilal in one area that applied to other regions of earth. Important to know that the first visibility of the new moon does not cover the entire face of the earth on the same day, but splitting it into two parts: (1) part of the West to see the new moon, and (2) part of the East were not able to see the new moon.

UNSTRUCTURED The UK General Medical Council (GMC) explicitly states doctors have a duty to ‘contribute to teaching and training…by acting as a positive role model’. However, recent studies suggest some are not fulfilling this, which is impacting medical students' experiences and attitudes during their training. As such, doctors have a duty to act as role models and teachers, as specified by the GMC, which it seems are not currently being fulfilled. This would improve the medical students’ learning experiences and demonstrate good professional values for them to emulate. Therefore, these duties should be as important as patient care, since this will influence future generations.

This study offers an analysis of published historical research on accounting for natural disasters. Drawing on the insights provided by an examination of 35 accounting/business/economic history and generalist journals, 11 articles have been selected and analysed. The analysis conducted on the scattered literature identified the emerging themes, disasters investigated, periods of time explored and main contributions of published research. The analysis is extended by the examination of some key conferences of interdisciplinary history associations, and of the eventual journals/issues where the papers presented were published. The investigation has also been complemented by a brief selection of books showing historical analyses of diverse disasters, typologies and periods of investigation. The stimuli provided by the study have helped to portray the main features of an open research agenda, highlighting possible future research topics and suggesting ancient and recent disasters’ loci to be investigated worldwide.

Studying the historical facts of past wars and armed conflicts and natural and man-made emergencies, today in the Republic of Kazakhstan one of the most important security issues is the preparation and organization of the evacuation of the population from possible dangerous zones, taking into account the emergence of new threats to the country’s security. The paper presents an algorithm for constructing universal scales of the distribution function of opportunities by types of support and rebuilding them into subject scales using display functions. The purpose of the paper is to determine the integral indicators characterizing the possibility of accommodation of the evacuated population and the impact on resources during relocation. On the subject scales of cities and districts of the region, indicators of the possibility of relocation of a certain amount of the evacuated population by types of support and indicators characterizing the impact on the district’s resources during resettlement of a certain amount of the evacuated population are determined. It was concluded that the use of integrated indicators allows the selection of areas to accommodate the evacuated population without the use of statistical data, in conditions of incomplete and inaccurate information. The presented method does not replace traditional methods based on classical methods of territory assessment by the level of life sustenance, but also allows their reasonable combination with the experience of specialists in this field, taking into account the incompleteness, uncertainty, and inconsistency of the initial data of the study area, which does not allow the application of existing methods.

Madhubani art of the Bihar state has been undergoing transition where its application in original composition has been declined owing to social and economic changes now-a-days. There is need to explore possibilities for the conservation of this art form viz other artistic media for future generations. The reason for using traditional motifs in textiles is to keep our designs or motifs alive.  The Indian folk arts with painting play important role in creating new designs. Escalating demands of consumers requires modification in the fashion industry with respect to design, colour, style and technique. So in an effort to add another dimension in the application of Madhubani designs on textiles, the present study was planned.  The effort was targeted towards finding the possibility of applying Madhubani designs on textile articles utilizing the hand painting. Madhubani motifs/designs were adapted for center design and border design. Total thirty six motifs / designs were developed keeping in mind their suitability for articles like cushion cover, folder and table cloth. Developed design sheets were subjected to visual evaluation for selection of one best design in each category by the panel of thirty respondents to find out the suitability of the developed designs for hand painting. The Government through the National Railway Master Plan has launched the development of the Airport Railway Network and Services to facilitate passenger mobility, one of which is the construction of the Adi Soemarmo Airport train. In April 2017 a groundbreaking project for the development of the Adi Soemarmo Airport, Boyolali District by the President of the Republic of Indonesia was scheduled to be operational in 2019. This study uses a discrete choice model to express the opportunities of each passenger to use the airport train. The research instruments were prepared using predictor variables developed from service dimensions according to Gaspers. The sample used was 200 respondents with random sampling techniques. The data collected is processed using a binary logical regression model because the response variable is in the form of a dichotomy. The results showed the accuracy of the train schedule and affordability of train fares affect the willingness to use airport trains.

In 2014, increasing of mortality is observed in the Republic of Crimea. The attempts to normalize situation using common preventive means turned out to be not enough effective. The purpose of study is to analyze causes of deterioration of demographic situation and to substantiate measures of efficacious prevention. The data of state statistics was used as a primary material. The mortality of main non-infectious diseases prevailed in the structure of human losses. However, its dependence on classical risk factors had no factual confirmation. The ecological situation ameliorated. The health care system maintained a needed stability. The deterioration of psychic condition of population was detected. The suggestion was expressed concerning its effect on somatic reserves of health. In conditions of etiological uncertainty of mortality decreasing a personalized prevention was proposed targeting management of health reserves under control of personal risks. The percentage of Crimea population with redundant lethal risk makes up to no more than 5%. The modernization of actual dispensarization system is proposed to detecting and health improving them. The working population is proposed to pass screening examination without breaking labor process on the basis of health posts (health room) of enterprises. The traveling diagnostic teams can be used. The idle population is examined in the departments of prevention in polyclinics. The low cost prognostic technologies are used. The selection of individually efficient health promoting measures requires long work with patient. to implement this approach a third stage of dispensarization is proposed using innovative health promoting technologies. The medical social workers are involved into this activity. The trade union organizations can play an important role in the prevention system functioning. The particular attention is paid to using health promoting possibilities of recreation institution of Crimea.
