The article states the stratification of the university’s corporate culture as its traditional cultural base into the institutional and administrative (realizing the «third mission» of the university and bearing the tendency of its transformation into a business corporation) and the culture of the teaching staff (which has preserved the traditional university functions) and culture. There are suggested ways to eliminate this mismatch. The authors substantiate the role and significance of the ideological attitude of the university’s corporate culture to trust as a «glue» of its stratified cultural base, which maintains a balance between the traditional and modern university’s mission (the concept of «glue» is suggested by the Russian researcher L. Gudkov, who uses this term to denote a mechanism holding society together into a unity and a whole). The methodology of conceptual reasoning is based on a sociocultural approach that suggests considering changes of any social institution in the context of responding to the challenge of the globalized world of network structures and market relations. The article identifies the causes and consequences of lacking coordination in the cultural base of the university.Communicative rationality, which, as a style of scientific and philosophical thinking, initiates the construction of modern social ontologies, is proven to be a possible complementarity instrument («glue») of the two university cultures. It is argued that today trust reveals its not only psychological, but also ontological and epistemological significance, orienting both components of corporate culture towards their unity in implementing of the university’s research and educational missions together with its «third mission».The article originally defines the university’s corporate culture as focused on the formation of students’ trust as a key factor of sparing life in the modern world with its ideological, economic, and political tensions. On this basis, it is proposed to form a university management strategy and to restructure the educational process.

Violence and aggression has become common phenomena in modern world, they include almost all fields of social life. The reflection of problems the society copes with, is visible in the way of perceiving the educational values by pupils and their behaviour at school. The nature of the educational process organised by school is mainly the interactions among teachers and pupils and pupils themselves. They are not always the best. The anxiety among guidance counsellors and psychologists raises the fact that the cooperation rule and mutual help are replaced by the rule of dominance, extortion and force. The cases of ignoring the teacher's orders are more and more common, lack of respect towards the teaching staff, humiliating adults and vandalism. Pupils battle against teachers and peers too. The school hall is a kind of arena of undesirable behaviours. Therefore, the school as an institution in which children and young people spend 1/3 of their time during the day, should not only deal with teaching but take an active part in the implementation of activities in the field of broadly understood prevention and upbringing. Therefore there are challenges in front of the school aiming at stopping, limiting or even eliminating negative behaviours from children's and teenagers' lives.

The article analyzes the significance of Wilhelm von Humboldt’s philosophical ideas about the model of the organization of university education in light of modern challenges. The fundamental ideas of the Humboldt’s project are discussed. The “fictitiousness” of the university as a social institution was the most important advantage of Humboldt's educational strategy. The educational agenda here is not determined by institutional interests, which means that it turns out to be flexible and does not seek to maintain the status quo. At the same time, it is the destruction of “fictitiousness” and the university's establishment as a “real” social institution that becomes one of the most important symptoms of the crisis in the modern academic world. One of the vivid expressions of this crisis is the priority of quantitative indicators of the educational process's effectiveness. The key difference of a modern university is its aspiration for the future. In turn, an appeal to the future turns out to be a pseudo-strategy of the educational process, since the future itself is an unattainable goal. At the same time, Humboldt’s project suggested that only in the image of a person does the ultimate goal of education find unlimited development opportunities. The author believes that returning to the “Humboldtian man” can be an important task for university reform in the modern world.

This research paper presents the results of the author’s survey aimed at assessing the digital competence of modern university teachers. The relevance of digital competencies is becoming more and more obvious due to the transformations in the activities of educational organizations. These changes concern the use of digital technologies not only in university management, but also directly in the educational process. The development of distance learning and remote interaction formats is an objective reality in the modern world. The purpose of this article is to make an attempt of assessing a university teacher’s digital competence level based on the general perception of his/her abilities and the digital technologies used in his/her professional activities. The author analyses the teachers’ readiness to use digital technologies and their attitude to distance learning. The study showed that the majority of the interviewed teachers have a high level of basic and universal digital competencies. It was found that most of the respondents already have experience of taking online courses to improve their professional skills. The analysis makes it possible to conclude that the teachers who participated in the survey demonstrate a high readiness to use digital technologies in their professional activities. The author’s study is not supposed to give a complete picture of all Russian university teachers’ digital competence level, since this requires both greater coverage of respondents and the use of other channels (beyond digital) to collect data within the survey. At the same time, this research allows to formulate possible ideas for improving Russian university teachers’ digital competence level, which nowadays becomes the key to improving their effectiveness. The results of the study can be used when working out universities’ personnel development programs in order to ensure a higher level of the teachers’ digital competence.

The process of education and formation of the individual at the present stage of development of society must be considered in the totality of all social processes that are inextricably linked in their mutual existence. The unwillingness or inability of the subjects of social relations to see in the individual the absolute goal of any social interaction activates the initial contradiction between freedom and necessity, which manifests itself externally in a conflict between individuals in a social conflict. It is overcome by a commitment to moral duty and respect for social norms. The secret of orientation to this kind of relationship is quite simple: the modern educational process is a phenomenon of social culture, which can be represented as a process of cultural education or a process of personal inculturation. In modern society, a positive stereotype of school life was formed: the teacher corresponded to the image of the most respected person – for his knowledge, wisdom, kindness and other personal qualities. This was facilitated both by society as a whole (first of all, by state propaganda, in which the teacher was given a dominant role), and by specific teaching staff. People had a clear idea of the purpose of their life and how to achieve it. Moreover, these methods were not reflected by the negative of their achievement on others. The paper analyzes the influence of mass media, cinema, pop music on the state of upbringing of the younger generation, reveals the consequences of the impact of modern media resources on the formation of behavior and self-consciousness of the younger generation in the modern world.

This paper discusses psychological make-up of inclusive education, the importance of a barrier-free environment for physically challenged people. It looks at difficulties of obtaining university level education, problems of interpersonal communication and socialization, points out the leading role of digital technologies in the modern world and necessity of their introduction into the inclusive educational environment. Based on the results of MAI students survey we describe difficulties of communication with physically challenged peers, discuss different forms of psychological assistance inside the educational process. It turned out that contemporary youth is conscious of inclusive education problems. They are interested in removal of existing barriers and expanding social boundaries of communication including with people suffering from various health restraints. Young people also think that inadequate awareness of the problem leads to inaction and makes it impossible to give necessary psychological support to peers with special needs. The paper also discusses psychological and pedagogical support for people with special needs that can become the most accessible type of help in the future, and how introduction of digital technologies into inclusive education helps to solve main problems of their socialization and inclusion into society. We also touch an important question of the need for special correction-al training of the academic teaching staff in the inclusive education development system inside an institute of higher education.

At present, one of the priority directions in the higher education system is the fostering of patriotism among the younger generation of their homeland. It is the emergence and formation of patriotic feelings that sets new goals for teachers of educational institutions both on a regional and national scale. Among the many tasks of patriotic education, one can single out the main ones that require implementation in the framework of the interaction of information and analytical structures between students and government bodies through the introduction of various legislative acts. Having determined the goals and objectives, it is easy to build a certain algorithm of actions, structure or stages of activities necessary to form the civic position of the individual. However, at present, there are problems of various levels in the educational process of the formation of patriotic values of youth. Patriotism is also an indispensable condition for the formation of personality, an important component of the modern life of society. Without ideals and role models, without a sense of pride and dignity, love for their country, any society will inevitably come to moral decline and self-destruction. Only joint efforts of the family, the teaching staff and the state in matters of upbringing the younger generation will be able to ensure the full development of the individual with a clear civic position.

Introduction. The spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 has led to a forced and rapid transition of educational institutions, including law universities, to distance learning, which has become its predominant and even exclusive form in some periods. The research purpose is to study the features of the transition from traditional to distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic based on the opinions of students and teachers at a law university. Materials and methods. The survey was attended by the teaching staff and students of Kutafin Moscow State Law University. In June 2020, eighty (80) teachers and sixty-five (65) students and in December 2020 – one hundred and thirty (130) teachers and four hundred and sixty-three (463) students took part in the survey. The survey was conducted remotely using Google Forms. Methods of mathematical statistics were used: descriptive methods (percentages, graphical data presentation), Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. Research results. The forced large-scale transition of practicing lawyers to the work with digital technologies in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection revealed the lack of digital competencies in many of them and demonstrated the need to prepare law students for future work in the digital environment. A two-stage survey of teachers and students at a law university made it possible to reveal a significant change in attitudes towards the electronic educational environment and distance learning technologies. An improvement in the quality of education in the second period was noted by 43.0% of students and 41.5% of teachers. Due to the transition to learning with the use of distance learning technologies, teachers began to communicate more often with students and colleagues (r = 0.203; p < 0.05), as a result of which the emotional perception of the educational process in many teachers changed for the better (r = 0.236; p < 0.01). Discussion and conclusion. Learning with the use of distance learning technologies allows students to form new digital competencies that are necessary and in demand in the modern world. In this case, an important role is given not only to remote lecture- and seminar-type classes, but also to remote academic training, which is close to real conditions of the activities of practicing lawyers.
