ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the insertion of environmental issues in the postgraduate stricto sensu in nursing in Brazil. Methods: quali-quantitative research, of exploratory approach, with documental research in the Sucupira Platform and in sites of the 112 courses stricto sensu in Nursing in Brazil, in 2018. We analyzed the curricular matrixes; course menus; teaching profile; dissertations and thesis (2004-2016); and bibliographic productions of the four-year evaluation 2013-2016. The analysis of quantitative data was performed by statistical methods; and qualitative data, by the Content Analysis Technique, outlined by Bardin. Results: the results demonstrate incipiency in the treatment of environmental issues. Regarding the theme, we highlight those that refer to socio-historical-cultural aspects in relation to the more direct environmental approach and facilitator of environmental conservation and consequent promotion of health. Final Considerations: The analysis allows identifying the fragility of the environmental approach in the analyzed programs, being necessary to improve the cross-sectionality of environmental issues.

Desarrollar acciones dirigidas a la conservación del medio ambiente, con el fin de provocar la reflexión sobre cuestiones ambientales, es una forma de Educación Ambiental (EA). El objetivo de este estudio es describir cómo los agentes que trabajaron en el proyecto de revitalización de Eco Park perciben las acciones desarrolladas como un medio para promover la EE. La revitalización propuesta para este parque en el municipio de Confresa / MT, tuvo lugar en 2019, a través de tres acciones para mejorar la calidad del lugar y crear conciencia entre la población que lo frecuenta. Con base en las acciones realizadas, se aplicó un cuestionario con 10 preguntas a 12 agentes responsables de la elaboración y desarrollo del proyecto. Para analizar los datos, se adoptó la técnica de Análisis de Contenido. Se identificaron 5 categorías: problemas ambientales en la región; Educación ambiental y revitalización de Eco Park; Participación en el proyecto y cambios a través de las acciones desarrolladas; Aprendizaje, beneficios y mejoras para el parque; Desarrollo sostenible y sensibilización. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis android untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang didukung data kuantitatif. Model Pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE. Karya inovasi ini dibuat dengan macromediaflash 8. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok kecil dan 30 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dengan menggunakan model Miles Huberman.Hasilpengembangan diperoleh sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk mempermudah mengingat rumus trigonometri. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive android based learning media to facilitate understanding of trigonometric concepts. This research is a development research with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data. Development model used is ADDIE. The innovation work was made with Macromedia Flash 8. The subjects in this study consisted of 8 students on a small group trial and 30 students on a large group trial. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative data analysis technique using Miles Huberman model. The results of the development obtained a learning media that can help students to simplify remembering the trigonometric formula. Youth empowerment is vital for any nation. Most Kenyan youths aspire to get white-collar jobs after completing education in order to build self and the nation. To most, achieving their career goals after the 8-4-4 education system is the most critical thing hence they will not settle for anything less than what they have trained for. The Government of Kenya has made efforts over the years to empower the youth by coming up with policies that enable the youth to venture in education as well as create opportunity for income generating projects. It is on this basis that this study therefore sought to examine the effect of YEDF services on youth empowerment in Wajir County. The study objectives were: to assess the effect of YEDF entrepreneurial training on job creation, to examine the effect of YEDF provision of loans on income and to determine the effect of YEDF provision of market linkages on youth enterprise development in Wajir County. The study adopted social capital, theory of change and reform theory to assess relationship among the various factors that have been identified as important to the study problem. This study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The target population of the study consists of the 200 youth groups in Wajir County. This study used a closed and open – ended questionnaire to administer to the sample since time may be limited and information needed could easily be described in writing. The data was coded and entered on a Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software that aids in analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data. The researcher adopted content analysis to analyse the qualitative data based on the objectives. The descriptive statistics was used in analysing quantitative data. In analysing the relationship between variable (YEDF services and youth empowerment) the study used regression analysis. The study found out that attending the entrepreneurship training is important in improving business performance. The youths are trained on ways of improving and retaining customers. The researcher found out that most youths in the county have loan accessibility and have been accessing it for the past one year. The study found out that most youths have attended market linkages program. By attending the programs, they have learnt various ways of improving their business performance and sharing of business ideas. Finally, the study found out that there is a significant relationship between market linkages and youth’s empowerment in the County. The study recommended that the government and stakeholders to promote entrepreneur training, offering of loans and market linkages to equip youths with business skills. The study took a year to be completed, the researcher started in June 2017 and ended in July 2018. This study aimed to identify difficulties diabetic patients face during treatment in controlling the disease. A total of 24 diabetic patients, attended in the Nurse Educational Center for Adults and Elders in 2003, participated in the study. The data was collected individually, through a written report guided by a question previously elaborated, on a pre-scheduled date. The Content Analysis technique was used in the data analysis. The results showed several difficulties related to the treatment follow up: rejection and denial of the patient's condition, suffering and revolt due to restrictions imposed by the diet, physical activity and medication. It is possible to infer that the focus of the education approach should not be restricted to the transmission of knowledge; it should also include emotional, social and cultural aspects that also influence in the treatment follow up.

The purpose of this study is to investigate outdoor play experiences of preschool children in Turkey and to compare the experiences of these children with previous generation. The sample of the study consists of 398 parents with children aged 3-6 years old attending to a pre-school education institution in the province of Adana, a city located in the south of Turkey. The questionnaire of “the parents and children’s outdoor play experiences”, which was based on the study of Clements (2004) was adapted by the researchers and was used as the data collection tool. While the quantitative data were analysed through frequency and percentage, the qualitative data were analysed by means of content analysis. Results revealed that today’s children got involved in outdoor play activities significantly less than their parents did. Health conditions, safety concern, lack of environmental opportunities and use of technological device (computer, television, tablet pc etc.) were reported as the main reasons of the findings in the present study by parents. The results show similarity with the related literature.

Cognitive and psychomotor are two aspects that play an important role in children’s development, especially at the preschool age. This study aims to create and test products in the form of learning methods with song and movement to improve children's cognitive and psychomotor aspects. This research is a research and development using 4D theory from Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. There are four phases in this research, namely the define phase, product design, product development, and dissemination. Data analysis used in this study was a qualitative and quantitative approach using instruments in the form of questionnaires, product validation sheets, and techniques: (1) qualitative data with content analysis techniques and (2) quantitative data analyzed statistically with the help of SPSS. The results showed that this learning method was proven to have a level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness above the standard to improve children’s cognitive and psychomotor aspects

Mathematics is considered as a subject that still far from reality and culture. Historically, mathematics has closely related to everyday life, including culture in Lombok West Nusa Tenggara. This culture can explore mathematical concepts to bring mathematics closer to reality and people's perceptions and cultural aspects as the basis for learning mathematics in schools. Therefore, this study explores the elements of geometry transformation in the weaving of the Sasak Sukarara tribe of Central Lombok from an ethnomathematics point of view. This research is qualitative research embracing an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods were carried out through observation and interviews with cultural leaders and native weavers from Sukarara, Central Lombok. The data analysis technique in this study used content analysis and triangulation techniques. The content analysis technique provides detailed data dealing with the weaving culture and habits of the research subjects carried out at the research location. The data source triangulation technique was carried out by comprehensively exploring the relationship between the mathematical knowledge system and the weaving motif culture and looking at the mathematical conceptions that exist in the Sukarara weaving motif. This study showed that in the motifs of wayang, subahnale, keker, four stars, and alang/lumbung, the concepts of reflection and translation could be used as learning resources for geometry transformation materials.

This study aims to determine the activities of students and know the learning outcomes. The method used by researchers is to use the Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. For data collection techniques used are observations and tests with the research subject is class X Accounting for SMK Negeri 1 Katingan Hilir 2015/2016 Academic Year. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that: (1) learning activities of students of class X Accounting II at SMK Negeri 1 Katingan Hilir using the more active PAILKEM strategy, (2) there was an increase in accounting learning costs for students of class X Accounting II at SMK Negeri 1 Katingan Hilir using the PAILKEM strategy which shows Accounting learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 76.20 with classical completeness of 65.51% and in the second cycle the median was 82.41 with artistic integrity of 89.65%.

This study was aimed to assess the challenges that hinder the performance of women engaged in service enterprises. It also aimed to find out the main opportunities that women entrepreneurs might access to attain their goal. Accordingly, it identified lack of working place, shortage of working capital, shortage of training, lack of credit facility, burden of double responsibility and absence of husband support, and poor education back ground were major challenges that constrained the performance of women entrepreneurs. The various institutions providing support to women together with the current constitution were considered as opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the study area. The study utilized descriptive cross sectional statistics to analyze quantitative data and content analysis to compute qualitative data. Various points to tackle the challenges and to utilize the different opportunities available to improve the performance of women entrepreneurs were recommended.

The purpose of this study was to describe the reasons for knitting blogging and the importance of blogging for the bloggers’ crafting. A multiphase mixed-methods study focusing on quantitative research methods was the methodological basis. Therefore, the study included both sequential and simultaneous investigation paths. In this study, the quantitative data were collected from the same group of Finnish knitting bloggers by two online surveys in 2008 (N= 501) and in 2013 (N= 212). The quantitative data focused on time-related changes in blogging, whereas the qualitative data, collected by essays (N=50) during 2013-2014, was used to explain the quantitative data. In quantitative analysis, the key features of reasons for knitting blogging were analysed by principal component analysis. The differences in the principal components for the background groups between the surveys were elucidated by means of 2-way analysis of variance. The qualitative data were analysed by data-driven content analysis. The results indicated that there were several reasons for knitting blogging. According to the results, the elements of knitting blogging were: 1) inspiration and materialization, 2) connecting and community support, 3) encouragement and 4) reflection and reminiscence. Knitting blogging has reshaped crafting by combining the material and tactile process of knitting with digital practices of life-streaming and with participatory activities in networked spaces. It appeared that knitting and blogging complemented each other, and that blogging supported development of the blogger’s crafting into a serious leisure activity with meaningful long-term activities and clear goals.
