Analysis of current GaAs and related device market initiated in a number of earlier works has been continued. Binary semiconductor GaAs compound is a conventional MW electronics material. Until recently GaAs based HF ICs for mobile phones were among the most rapidly growing segments of GaAs market. However the GaAs market development trend is changing. Photonics and TeraHertz engineering are becoming the new world GaAs market drivers. This means that the current emphasize of GaAs single crystal technologies will shift toward vertical directional crystallization of “optoelectronic quality” crystals. In the medium and longer terms the world GaAs wafer and epitaxial structure markets will continue growing. In the shorter term we all will have to take into account COVID epidemic consequences. Still the GaAs market is closely related to Smartphone market novelties. Quite probably after a long growth period the GaAs market will keep on shrinking for the second consecutive year: GaAs production may decline by 11–12 % in 2020. Assuming that the epidemic will be somehow taken under control in 2021 the overall Smartphone production can probably be expected to grow starting from 2021.Currently the Russian market of semiconductor compounds for photonics and electronic components (GaAs etc.) is but moderate and in predictable terms is not expected to achieve a level that is required for the emergence of a competitive domestic manufacturer, even though all importation replacement programs are accomplished. Meanwhile there is understanding that developing an advanced electronic components industry in Russia requires larger production of source materials.

In recent years, 5G photonic technology has gradually gained increased attention from scholars. However, studies on 5G photonic technology have mostly focused on technological discussions or market development research, but have failed to identify the relevant key technologies from a comprehensive perspective. In particular, 5G photonic technology is an interdisciplinary technology that could create considerable potential business opportunities in the future, therefore, identifying related key technologies is crucial. Accordingly, the patents of 5G photonic technologies were used as the basis for analysis in this study, and a patent technology network for such technologies was constructed using network analysis. The results showed that the key technologies of 5G photonic technology are mainly related to optics, nanostructures, semiconductors, and material analysis, indicating an interdisciplinary feature instead of focusing only on one specific technological field. Additionally, the relevant technologies that have seen active development in recent years are mainly related to optical elements and semiconductor devices. Finally, a patentee analysis demonstrated that information technology companies were the key players in the development of 5G photonic technologies, and the semiconductor industry will have a crucial role in the development of such technologies. In this study, a patent technology network model was constructed to explore the development trend of 5G photonic technologies, thereby providing a reference for the government to promote these emerging technologies.

Näitä ovat venäläisten rahapelimarkkinoiden kasvuaika 1990-luvulla, vuoden 2006 rahapeliuudistuksen rajoittama markkinaympäristö ja uusien markkinoiden synty sekä vuoden 2014 jälkeinen aika, johon on liittynyt niin ruplan romahtaminen kuin koronapandemian tuomat haasteet matkailulle Finland and the Russian gambling market Gambling operations in border regions are common internationally, but Finnish cross-border gambling offers have been scarce. This paper discusses how Finnish gambling operators have attempted to access the Russian market since the 1990s, based on previous literature and existing statistical information. The aim is to describe whether and how Finnish actors have exported gambling to Russia or Russians, and what kind of political and economic factors have influenced the commercial relationship. The analysis focuses on three periods determined by regulatory changes in Russian gambling and the related possibilities for the Finnish gambling offer. These are the growth period of the 1990s, the restrictive gambling law of 2006 and the new market environment, and the period starting from 2014 characterised by challenges to tourism and business following the financial crisis and the coronavirus pandemic.

Information technologies influence a place and competitiveness of the companies on the international scene. Сloud technologies take root practically in all branches of economy both in state and in the private sphere the advanced information technologies. The essence of cloud technologies consists in granting to end users of remote dynamic access to services, computing resources and appendices (including operating systems and infrastructure) on the Internet. The purposes of this work are: the analysis of speed of distribution of cloudy technologies in the Russian Federation and the world; definition of drivers of development and distribution barriers in the Russian market; development prospects of cloud-based technology and proposing measures s for stimulating their development . Survey of representatives of the companies participating of the market of cloud services was conducted for the analysis of the factors influencing distribution of cloud services in Russia. The factors influencing the direction development prospects of cloud-based technology are defined by the factorial analysis of answers of respondents in the SPSS program. Based on the results of the survey, the forecasted values of the development of the cloud services market were made. The infrastructure, economic, marketing factors promoting advance of cloud services in the Russian market are revealed as a result of the conducted research. The factors interfering growth of the market of cloud technologies are legal, social and economic, technological and marketing. Tools were developed for stimulation of distribution of cloud services on the basis of the received results. On the basis of the obtained results, it can be concluded that in order to preserve sustainable development, it is expedient to specialize companies for the production of one type of products or in a particular industry. Also it is recommended to develop products for public sector, providers of cloud services only started mastering this sphere. If other information technologies are usually offered to customers through IT directors, then cloud products should be promoted by addressing directly to directors of companies or other representatives distributing the budget.

Industrial green technology innovation has become an important content in achieving high-quality economic growth and comprehensively practicing the new development concept in the new era. This paper measures the efficiency of industrial green technology innovation and regional differences based on Chinese provincial panel data from 2005 to 2018, using a combination of the super efficiency slacks-based measure (SBM) model for considering undesirable outputs and the Dagum Gini coefficient method, and discusses and analyses the factors influencing industrial green technology innovation efficiency by constructing a spatial econometric model. The results show that: firstly, industrial green technology innovation efficiency in China shows a relatively stable development trend, going through three stages: “stationary period”, “recession period” and “growth period”. However, the efficiency gap between different regions is obvious, specifically in the eastern > central > western regions of China, and the industrial green technology efficiency innovation in the central and western regions is lower than the national average. Secondly, regional differences in the efficiency of industrial green technology innovation in China are evident but tend to narrow overall, with the main reason for the overall difference being regional differences. In terms of intra-regional variation, variation within the eastern region is relatively stable, variation within the central region is relatively low and shows an inverted ‘U’ shaped trend, and variation within the western region is high and shows a fluctuating downward trend. Thirdly, the firm size, government support, openness to the outside world, environmental regulations and education levels contribute to the efficiency of industrial green technology innovation. In addition, the industrial structure hinders the efficiency of industrial green technology innovation, and each influencing factor has different degrees of spatial spillover effects.

The article provides information about the state and main trends in the development of the Russian market of ceramic bricks. Data on the structure of construction of residential buildings based on the wall materials used are presented, and the regional structure of demand for ceramic bricks is estimated. The forecast of market development in 2021-2022 is presented. It is noted that from the end of 2018, the pace of housing construction in Russia increased significantly due to the transition from mid-2019 to financing through escrow accounts and the rejection of EPA (Equity Participation Agreement). The positive dynamics continued in 2019-2020, which was additionally associated with a reduction in the Central Bank’s key rate, the introduction of a preferential mortgage program in 2020, and the implementation of programs to support the construction complex in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the production of ceramic bricks increased by more than 3% in 2019 and by about 2% in the first 9 months of 2020. At the same time, it was found that due to unfavorable market conjuncture, the number of ceramic plants operating in Russia has significantly decreased (from 557 in 2014 to 310 in 2019).
