The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of integrating life skills into pencak silat training for positive youth development. The method used in this study was the matching only-pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used was the Life Skills Scale for Sport (LSSS). The results showed that there were significant differences among the group integrating life skills in pencak silat training programs,  the group not integrating life skills in pencak silat training programs, and groups that did not involve in sports training for positive youth development. The group integrating life skills in pencak silat training programs and the group that did not integrate life skills in pencak silat training programs were better than the group that did not practice pencak silat training programs. On the other hand, a better influence on positive youth development occurred in the group integrating life skills in pencak silat training programs compared to the group that did not integrate life skills in pencak silat training programs.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the application of learning model ofScience Technology Society (STS)  to the ability of understanding the concept of Biologystudents on the subject of VII grade ecosystem MTs Paradigma Palembang. The desain ofstudy used the design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design with Quasi Experimentalmethod (quasi experiment). These sample included 35 students. Based on the results of theanalysis of students' concept of understanding shows that the implementation of learningusing the model of learning Science Technology Society (STS)  is better than theconventional learning model. It can can be seen from the calculation of the t-test showed ofstudents' concept of understanding sig t-value 0.000 < 0,05, then Ha accepted and H0 rejected. The result of analysis of the improvement of the average completeness of the conceptualunderstanding of the experimental class is 48.2% while the students 'understanding of thecontrol class is 29.2%, which means that the students' understanding of the concept of theexperimental class is higher than the understanding of the concept of the control class. This, itcan be concluded that the learning model of Science Technology Society (STS) around effecton understanding the concept of students of class VII MTs Paradigma Palembang

Abstract: Malnutrition because of protein deficiency on diet caused antioxidant deficiency state and oxidative stress on brain that marked by increased MDA level. The aim of this study was to analyze the antioxidant effects of saluang (Rasbora spp.) on brain MDA level in malnourished rats. This was an experimental study with a Posttest Only with Control Group Design, consisted of malnutrition control group (M), group that feed with saluang (S), group that given standard feeding (P), and group that given standard feeding added with DHA supplement (D). Brain MDA level measured with TBARS method in spectrophotometer. Mean brain MDA level for each group in a row is M = 210,750 μΜ, S = 194,125 μΜ, P = 202,625 μΜ, and D = 200,875 μΜ. Kruskal-Wallis and Mann Whitney test showed that there were significant differences between the group that feed with saluang and the other groups (p<0.05). Based on this research, concluded that the administration of saluang (Rasbora spp.) significantly affects the decrease of brain MDA level in malnourished rats.

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine whether the increasing of students mathematical concepts understanding on the class with Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) model is better than on the class with usual learning models. This study is a quantitative research by using the quasi-experimental method. The design is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population is all of eighth grade students of a Junior High School in South Lampung. Simple random sampling technique is used to get the sample. The VIII A class is the experimental class and VIII B class is the control class. Based on the results of the N-gain hypothesis test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in relation and function material, the understanding of students' mathematical concepts with the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model is better than students who use usual learning models. Keywords: Auditory Intellectually Repetition, concept understanding.

Mathematical creative thinking ability and self-efficacy are a combination of abilities students need to have when studying mathematics. Mathematical learning is expected to improve both abilities. However, teachers still use conventional learning such as direct teaching, which results in a low increase in students' mathematical creative thinking abilities and self-efficacy. So we need alternative student-centred learning and teachers as facilitators who provide scaffolding. The study was conducted to obtain a description of the discovery learning process with scaffolding which aims to improve the ability to think creatively and self-efficacy. Two quasi-experimental designs with three class groups were used: The Matching-only Pretest-posttest Control Group Design was used to measure mathematical creative thinking skills, and The Matching-only Posttest-only Control Group Design was used to measure the self-efficacy scale. Based on the results of one-way ANOVA, the mathematical creative thinking ability of students discovery learning with scaffolding is better than discovery learning and conventional learning. Likewise, this happens to 'self-efficacy, based on the one-way ANOVA that students' self-efficacy of discovery learning with scaffolding is better than discovery learning and conventional learning. The learning process of discovery learning with scaffolding has a positive impact on the improvement of mathematical creative thinking abilities and self-efficacy
