The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the application of learning model ofScience Technology Society (STS)  to the ability of understanding the concept of Biologystudents on the subject of VII grade ecosystem MTs Paradigma Palembang. The desain ofstudy used the design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design with Quasi Experimentalmethod (quasi experiment). These sample included 35 students. Based on the results of theanalysis of students' concept of understanding shows that the implementation of learningusing the model of learning Science Technology Society (STS)  is better than theconventional learning model. It can can be seen from the calculation of the t-test showed ofstudents' concept of understanding sig t-value 0.000 < 0,05, then Ha accepted and H0 rejected.The result of analysis of the improvement of the average completeness of the conceptualunderstanding of the experimental class is 48.2% while the students 'understanding of thecontrol class is 29.2%, which means that the students' understanding of the concept of theexperimental class is higher than the understanding of the concept of the control class. This, itcan be concluded that the learning model of Science Technology Society (STS) around effecton understanding the concept of students of class VII MTs Paradigma Palembang

Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin mengetahui proses identifikasi masalah lingkungan hidup yang dapat dilakukan mahasiswa pada matakuliah Ekologi Manusia, mengembangkan prosedur model pembelajaran STS pada matakuliah Ekologi Manusia, dan membandingkan tingkat efektivitas model pembelajaran STS dengan model konvensional yang selama ini dilakukan pada perkuliahan Ekologi Manusia. Disain Eksperimen yang akan digunakan adalah Pretest-postest, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Dengan design ini, subjek penelitian ditest sebelum mendapat perlakuan (pretest). Pretest dalam desain penelitian ini digunakan untuk pengontrolan secara statistic (statistical control) dan untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan terhadap capaian skor (gain score). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil test awal (pretest) nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh oleh responden hanya 17,0 dari 40 soal yang diajukan artinya jauh di bawah rata-rata. Standar deviasi dari rangkaian skor nilai adalah sekitar 4,8. Selanjutnya dari data hasil posttest ada kenaikan rata 22,7 yang menjawab dengan benar dari 40 soal. Dengan demikian, sudah dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode STS dapat meningkatkan prestasi mahasiswa.Keywords: STS teaching and learning model, students’ awareness, environment

This research describes the differences of student’s learning with the application of cooperative learning type make a match in the electrolyte and non-electrolyte at the X grade student’s of the Madrasah Aliya DDI Lonja. This research used quasi experimental with non randomized pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted with two groups: XA as the experimental (n=21) XB as the control group (n=18). The data findings means score of experimental group (X1) is 70,5 with the standard deviation 9,6 and the control group (X2) is 62.0 with the standard deviation is 6. Based on the results, the researcher concludes cooperative learning type make a match has better than control class that used conventional learning model.

AbstrakTujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA) lebih baik dari pada konvensional, untuk mengetahui sikap kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA), dan untuk mengetahui hambatan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Metode penelitiannya adalah eksperimen kuasi dan desain penelitiannya Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA PASUNDAN CIKALONGKULON dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas XI MIPA-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA) lebih baik dari konvensional. Hasil angket siswa kelas XI MIPA-3 memperoleh hasil hampir seluruhnya positif respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA).Kata Kunci: Kemandirian, MEA, Pemecahan Masalah Matematis. Increased Mathematical Problem Solving Ability and Student Learning Independence Using the Means-End Analysis Learning Model AbstractThe purpose of this research is to find out whether the improvement of students 'mathematical problem-solving abilities using the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model is better than conventional learning, to determine the attitudes of students' learning independence towards mathematics learning using the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model, and to find out the obstacles of students in solving problems mathematical problem solving abilities. The research method is a quasi-experiment and the research design is Nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA PASUNDAN CIKALONGKULON with a sample of two classes. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique. Class XI MIPA-3 as an experimental class and class XI MIPA-1 as a control class. The instruments were in the form of tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities, questionnaires, and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities using the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model is better than conventional. The results of the XI MIPA-3 class questionnaire obtained almost entirely positive student responses to the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model.Keywords: Independence, MEA, Mathematical Problem Solving.

This study aims to know the effectiveness of collaborative learning with gift envelope game media on statistic learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes are measured only on the subject of collection and presentation data. This research is pure experimental research with a posttest only control group design. The population of this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Jember and the sample was class VII B as the experimental class and class VII D as the control class. The hypothesis testing method used is T-Test (Independent Sample T-test). Based on the results of data analysis, the value of tcount = 5.993 ≥ ttable = 2.00665 or ρ-value = 0,000 < 0.025 at the first meeting, while at the second meeting tcount = 5.069  ≥ ttable =2.00324 or ρ-value = 0,000 < 0.025. Based on the results of these calculations it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means collaborative learning with gift envelope game media is effective for student’s learning outcomes

Abstract: Effectiveness of the Feedback Providing Strategies on the PracticumPerformance of the Students of the Diploma Three (D-3) of the ElectronicEngineering Department. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of thefeedback providing strategies (immediate feedback and delayed feedback) onstudents’ performance in the Electronics lab course. This study was anexperiment employed a posttest-only control group design. The subjects werestudents of the Diploma Three (D-3) Program of the Electronic EngineeringDepartment of FT UNM, divided into two treatment groups. Group A,consisting of 20 students, received the treatment of the immediate feedback andGroup B, consisting of 19 students, received the treatment of delayed feedback.The data on the students’ mastery of lab materials were collected throughobservations using a performance assessment form. The data were analyzedusing the t-test. The results showed that the practicum performance of thestudents receiving immediate feedback was better than that of the studentsreceiving delayed feedback. ABSTRACTThe research aimed is to describe and analyze: (1) increase the ability of students fractional arithmetic operation, (2) problem posing ability students, (3) students responses, and (4) implementing of teacher in the learning activity, when the learning problem posing by using buttons media on material fractional arithmetic operations in grade 4 elementary school of SD Negeri Telaga Asih 03 Bekasi district. The research was using Quasi Eksperimental design pattern with The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data collection techniques were using test and non test techniques. Data obtained through the technique of statistical test were analyzed by Independent T-test trials using aid SPSS 24.0 for Windows. The research result show that: (1) n-gain score fractional arithmetic operation ability of students of two classes gain significancy value 0,000 ˃ 0,05, than the hypothesis of fractional arithmetic operation capability experimental class students who apply problem posing learning by using buttons media better than the fractional arithmetic operation capability control class that implements conventional learning be accepted, (2) the average score of students posttest problem posing ability experimental class students at 14,87 with medium qualifying better than the average score of posttest problem posing ability control class at 10,10 with low qualifications, (3) the percentage of students response to the learning reached 88.27% categorized as very positive, (4) the percentage of teacher implementing in the learning activity reached 97.1% with very good categories.Based on data analysis can be concluded that the Problem Posing Learning by Using Buttons Media can improve students fractional arithmetic operations and effectively applied to the material fractional arithmetic operations in the 4th grade of primary school. Keywords: Problem Posing Learning, Buttons Media, Fractional Arithmetic Operation Capability. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis: (1) peningkatan kemampuan operasi hitung pecahan siswa, (2) kemampuan pengajuan masalah siswa, (3) tanggapan siswa, dan (4) aktivitas guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, saat pembelajaran pengajuan masalah berbantuan media kancing pada materi operasi hitung pecahan di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes. Teknik tes digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan kemampuan operasi hitung dan kemampuan pengajuan masalah siswa dengan instrumen berupa pretest dan posttest. Teknik non tes digunakan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa dengan instrumen berupa angket serta untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh melalui teknik tes kemudian dianalisis statistik dengan uji Independent Sample T-test menggunakan bantuan SPSS 24.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) skor n-gain kemampuan operasi hitung pecahan siswa dari kedua kelas memperoleh nilai signifkansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga hipotesis kemampuan operasi hitung pecahan siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran pengajuan masalah berbantuan media kancing lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kemampuan operasi hitung pecahan siswa kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional dapat diterima, (2) rata-rata skor posttest kemampuan pengajuan masalah siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 14,87 dengan kualifikasi sedang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan rata-rata skor posttest kemampuan pengajuan masalah siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 10,10 dengan kualifikasi rendah, (3) persentase respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran  mencapai 88,27% dengan kategori sangat positif, (4) persentase aktivitas guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran mencapai 97,1% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran pengajuan masalah berbantuan media kancing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung pecahan siswa dan efektif diterapkan pada materi operasi hitung pecahan di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Pengajuan Masalah, Media Kancing, Kemampuan Operasi Hitung Pecahan.

This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical communication ability. Mathematical communication ability of students is still low. In order that this problem can be solved, a learning model that can enhance mathematical communication ability of students is required. In this research, CORE model learning with scientific approach was selected. This study aims to analyze the enhancement of mathematical communication ability. This research was a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population was students in eighth grade in one of the junior high schools in Jambi.  The sample consisted of two classes which were selected by purposive sampling. The instrument of this research is a test of mathematical communication ability. The data were analyzed by using Independent t-test. Based on the data analyzed, it is found that: The enhancement of mathematical communication ability of students who received the CORE learning model with scientific approach is better than the enhancement of students who received conventional learning.

The application of 2013 curriculum which has not been implemented perfectly become a problem in the learning process. This research aimed at knowing the effect of implementing Project Based Learning model with Google Classroom media toward student learning achievement on Chemistry subject, especially Reaction Rate lesson.  It was an quasi experiment research with posttest only control group design.  The eleventh-grade students of MIA were the population of this research.  Random sampling was used in this research, and it was obtained the eleventh-grade students of MIA 1 (experimental group) and MIA 2 (control group).  Interview, test, observation, and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data.  Analyzing the data was using Independent t-test.  Based on the results of Independent t-test with α=0.05, it was obtained the cognitive score of sig. (2 tailed) 0.046 (H0 was rejected). It showed that Project Based Learning model with Google Classroom media facilitated better learning achievement than the model without the use of Google Classroom media.

The problem of this research is whether there is an influence of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model towards Writing Skill of Student Proposal of Grade 11 MA Mazroillah Lubuklinggau. This study aims to determine whether or not the influence of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition  learning model on Writing Skill of Student Proposal of Grade 11 MA Mazroillah Lubuklinggau. The method of this research is using experimental method with pretest posttest control group design design or experimental control group design. The population in this research is all students of class 11 MA.Mazroillah Lubuklinggau. Two classes were taken as simple random sampling samples of class 11 IPA as experimental class and class 11 IPS as control class. Data collection techniques use written test techniques. Student ability test data were analyzed by using t test. Based on the result of t test analysis, with the level of trust = 0,05 and degrees of freedom = 41, obtained tcount greater than t table 06 greater than 2.02, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus the hypothesis reads that there is an influence of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition  learning model to the Writing Skill of Student Proposal of Class 11 MA Mazroillah Lubuklinggau is acceptable truth, with the average value of experimental class 80,14 is bigger than control class69,38. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of cooperative learning model Assisted Individualuization Teams (TAI) can improve student learning outcomes on the subjects of class X Pictures of Automotive Engineering Department of Automotive Light Vehicle SMK Negeri 1 Padang. This type of research is the study design Quasi Experiment, Experiment Quasi design used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Overall that experimental class is better than the control class with a percentage of 5.2% influence. Thus it can be concluded that there is the effect of the use of TAI learning model to increase the results of class X student on subjects Picture of Automotive Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Assisted Individualuization (TAI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Gambar Teknik Otomotif kelas X Jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif SMK Negeri 1 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan desain Quasi Experiment, desain Quasi Experiment yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Secara keseluruhan diperoleh hasil bahwa kelas ekperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan persentase pengaruh sebesar 5,2%. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran TAI terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X pada mata pelajaran Gambar Teknik Otomotif di SMK Negeri 1 Padang.
