Theoretical developments are brought together to highlight the  special Eurasian type of worldview underlying the formation of the  Eurasian civilizational identity. Data of history, ethnography, and  philosophical works are referred to for revealing the key features of  the Eurasian culture as a whole: religion, patriotism; refusal from  self-sufficient accumulation; collectivism; combination of settledness  with nomadism; love of the motherland as a factor of personal formation. Generalization and comparative methods were  applied to analyze the theoretical and historical (applied) scientific  studies in the field of domestic and foreign philosophy of culture,  history and pedagogy that have been published since the beginning  of the twentieth century. The carried out analysis allows stating that  the major milestones of the Eurasian cultural space are now as  before the orientation to high spiritual values (religion, patriotism,  moral ideals), craving for the brotherhood of nations, and the idea of spiritual and government hierarchy. The list also includes collectivism, the Nonpossessors Movement, intend to go  back on grasping for material wealth; continental thinking,  combining settled and wandering ways of life; "borderline"  patriotism, when the love for motherland and the readiness to  defend it become the principles of education and personality development. These factors indicate that the  sociocultural Eurasian space has been (and is still) transforming into  a single polyethnic and multicultural unity for many centauries. The  the boundaries between the anthropological types are unclear, while  the beliefs and customs of near-by regions are similar. Thus, Eurasia  entertains oneself as a unified whole with the benefit of no  significant natural boundaries and mental contradictions between the regions.

In the article, the authors consider the main reasons and value motivations of migrants from Moldova to the Russian Federation and European Union countries. It is noted that today in the world, countries are classified into two types: «peripheral states», with an undeveloped economy and culture, to which the Republic of Moldova belongs, and «leading states» or countries where migrants try to move. Among the main causes of migration, the authors highlight such problems in the country as poverty, lack of jobs in the country of origin of migrants, unstable political situation and corruption at the state level, the desire to improve the quality and standard of living, the will of migrants to move to their relatives or to study in another country. The values of people directly depend of the economy of the country in which they live. Only when they gain material wealth, migrants begin to think about spiritual values.

We argue in this chapter that moral development and identity formation are not disjunctive topics, and that morality and identity ramify in the personal formation of emerging adults in ways that have dispositional implications for how the rest of their lives go. Moral self-identity is crucial to living a life of purpose and for setting one’s life projects on a pathway that contributes to well-being, generativity, and integrity. We first review research on the role of moral purpose in personality development and the conditions that encourage it. We then review the major ways that self-identity has been conceptualized in terms of statuses, processes, and narratives, with particular emphasis on the achievement of identity maturity and its contribution to successful adaptation. We then discuss moral self-identity more directly and outline gaps in the literature and possible lines of future research.

The paper discusses the problem of personality development at the early stages of ontogenesis. The key idea is the L.S. Vygotsky’s concept of an infant as “the most social creatures” and perception of oneself as an infant in the form of “pre-we”. The development of Vygotsky’s views is considered in the concept of communication of M.I. Lisina, as well as in the studies of the primary pre-personal formation, the essence of which is the child’s experience of himself as a subject of communication and social interaction. The data obtained within the framework of the cultural-historical approach are compared with the results of foreign studies of socio-cognitive development, psychology of attachment and social interaction. We presented an evidence of a variety of innate manifestations of social activity, the social competence of a child, starting from the first months of his life, his readiness to perceive an adult and enter into social interaction. We consider the “inter-subjectivity” — a congenital psychological mechanism that ensures the infant’s ability to social interaction; a mutual predisposition to interaction in a mother-child pair. We offer an interpretation of L.S. Vygotsky ideas about the social situation of infant development taking into account modern data of Russian and foreign psychology.

The article characterizes the ideologically thematic content and means of literary expression of the appeals of the representatives of the Ukrainian intelligentsia of the late XIX – early XX century, in particular Naddnipryanska (P. Kulish “A letter of appeal to the Ukrainian intelligentsia”, 1882) and Galician (I. Franko “A sincere letter to the Galician Ukrainian youth”, 1905, A. Sheptytsky’s pastoral letter “To the Russian intelligentsia”, 1901), as well as the beginning of the XXI century – the initiative group of the “The First of December” (“Declaration”, 2011) to the youth “gifted with consciousness and a gift of thought”, “to all classes of our society”, to the “free people of Ukraine”. We believe that these texts have become vivid examples of expressing the civic position of this or that author, calls to preserve the national identity of a personality and society, whereas the isolated lexicon of the intelligentsia, its conceptual picture of the world, embodied in language, enable us to trace the paradigm of Ukrainian epistolary works, in which a special form of messages and letters is used, depending on the laws of literary conventionality. The comparison of appeals by criteria: the idea of appeal and its purpose, the place and role of the intelligentsia in the spiritual revival of the nation, state and society creation in the concept of the author (authors) is embodied in the language, in particular in the lexicon of the intelligentsia, its conceptual picture of the world. It makes it possible to state that the role of the intelligentsia in the late XIX – early XX century, as well as late XX – early XXI century remained unchanged. Its tasks are to promote enlightenment and education of the general public (people), to care for the spiritual growth of people in order to build the Ukrainian state as an integral body on the basis of Christian morality, to promote the formation of the Ukrainian nation, which would be capable of preserving and increasing cultural and material wealth, of developing independent political life, economy and social welfare so that every citizen of the Ukrainian state could feel comfortable on their native land. Keywords: language, intelligentsia, appeals, national values, P. Kulish, I. Franko, A. Sheptytsky, initiative group “The First of December”.
