This study examines the community can still enjoy the importance of interior in the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace as a form of cultural heritage. About that, aesthetic value and interior space concept will be arranged in an example kind of new in visual forms. The interior space of the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace concept was a development from the interior space concept during the era of Sukarno. This research is based on the aesthetic and historical approach that stressed on the artistic aspects and design that are associated with aesthetic appeal. The study uses a qualitative research method with an interdisciplinary approach that includes historical, social, cultural, and aesthetic approaches by not leaving descriptive aspects and critical analysis of reading sources and field surveys. It is inductive qualitative research because the inductive process is more able to find multiple realities as contained in the data. The analysis was done using observations of form and function, including the meaning of space composition, which was arranged to [1]produce a proportionate composition with the art collection object. This research is expected to be a basis for the interior aesthetic of the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace and to contribute to designers in the fields of architecture, fine arts, and especially the interior design. Also, this research is expected to be a source of reference for the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia concerning the aesthetics interior. The aesthetic interior of the new Yogyakarta Presidential Palace can be sharpened by presenting the power of essential values in a particular room with special collections and backgrounds.

Abstract The basis of the connection between analytic philosophy and architecture theory was developed in the interwar period. The results of analytic philosophy – especially the neo-positivism of Vienna Circle – and modern, functionalist architecture theory were utilized in an interdisciplinary approach. The comparison was based on language puzzles, science-based building processes, the method of justification and verification, and designing an artificial language in order to express the theoretical (philosophical) and the practical (architectural) approach as well. The functionality was based on the modern way of architectural thinking that relied on the results of Carnapian neo-positivism. Interpreting modern architecture is possible by referring to the keywords of logical positivism: empiricism, logic, verification, unity of language, and science. In my paper, I first list the bases of the comparison between the philosophy of the Vienna Circle and the architecture theory of the interwar period – the Bauhaus and Le Corbusier. In the 2nd and 3rd sections, I show the dialectical succession between form and function. After that, I discuss the aesthetic verification of the turn of the century and the scientific justification of the interwar period. I focus on the interwar period with the positivist approach and the theory of the ‘new architecture’. I emphasize the importance of the language of science and the machine paradigm – in contrast to historicism.

The term aesthetic has always become part of design. Without aesthetic, design has just a functional object. Aesthetic in design, particularly in interior design, has been influenced by many factors, which are aesthetic value, aesthetic perception, and time frame. Aesthetic has subjective meaning related to time frame and objective meaning related to implementation of element and principles of design on aesthetic term. Aesthetic perception is how we judge and see the object using our own thinking and value. Time frame is where and when the aesthetic value happens. Interior design trend right now has been influenced by technology in many ways so the concept of modern design theme is always the best choice for designer. However, using modern theme as a design concept has to be implemented as a whole theme and related to aesthetical value so that the design will gain much appreciation from others. This paper used deductive method to explain the theory of aesthetic and the implementation of aesthetic value in interior design context. Design should speak louder than it looked.

This research paper discusses the aesthetic value of an object called "Tepak Sireh" from the perspective of its design and pattern motifs. Consisting of betel-Handset, container betel, incisors and gobek, a Tepak sireh comes in various styles and tastes. This indicates the uniqueness, creativity and energy of the past thinking of Malay Society. The process of its creation is revealed through the application of the beauty of the flora and fauna that live in this environment. The qualitative research methodology was adopted. Data were collected by conducting interviews, observations, documentation and visual recordings The relevance of this study is crucial given that the Malay culture has not received as much attention as the other cultures from the youngsters.. This has left the legacy in galleries and museums hence inevident impact on the group. Therefore, Tepak Sireh can be viewed as a set of art that symbolizes the highly aesthetical and modestly cultured Malay community. It is concerned with life united by values, customs and culture of rules, that stay forever adhering to the old Malay proverb which is “Tak Lapuk Dek Hujan dan Tak Lekang Dek Panas”.

Abstract: Hotel is a commercial building and the success of its design has a very positive impact on increasing its selling value. Generally, hotel buildings in cities or city hotels are designed based on the form follow function theory so that the interior space is functioning optimally, but the shape of the square block buildings that occur tends to look monotonous. In order to make the visual appearance more attractive, through the strategy of transforming the mass composition of the hotel to be dynamic, there will be a consequence where the layout and furnishings of the existing interior may reduce the spatial comfort (space) for the user. Another thing that must be tested from a dynamic mass composition is its aesthetic value in terms of proportion and scale. As a research case study, Hotel U Janevalla was chosen in Jl. Aceh No. 65 Bandung. The analysis was carried out in a comparative way between case studies and theory, both in terms of qualitative and quantitative. The benefit value of this research is an insight into how the dynamic mass composition of hotels influences the aesthetic value and spatial comfort of users in the bedroom. Keywords: Hotel, Dynamic mass composition transformation, Aesthetics, Spatial comfort. Aceh No. 65 Bandung.

The article examines the main aesthetic possibilities of color in the interior. As a result of the analysis, the main conditions for the aesthetic impact of the coloristics of the interior space have been determined, which depend on the selected functional type of interior, a given scale, composition of space, general color, geometric plane and volumes, lighting, textured qualities of the material, harmonization of the surface color of the materials used, the relationship of structural elements and forms in the interior, informative possibilities of color. The interrelation of color with physiological, psychological and associative reactions in inflammatory processes and emotional sensations has been analyzed. Taken into account the understanding of color - color preferences and color culture issues. The associative possibilities of color as a means of emotional, aesthetic and symbolic impact have been determined. As a result, the main aesthetic possibilities of coloristics in the interior have been developed and proposed, which consist of logical sequential stages in order to implement the coloristic interior design and which are necessary in the educational process of training specialists in the specialty 022 "Design" in the discipline "Design workshop. Inovasi perpustakaan berkonsep Post-Modern Space dengan tambahan cafe dan lounge dapat diterapkan dalam perpustakaan modern dengan tetap memperhitungkan tata ruang, tata warna, pencahayaan, sirkulasi udara, dan tata suara.ABSTRACTModern society trends today prefer to read, study, and gather, while hanging out in places of entertainment rather than having to go to the library. On the other hand, currently in various shopping centers such as malls and tourist attractions have been established many public space with the concept of a mini library. One reason people prefer that place compared to the library is the attractive interior design and comfort aspects. Libraries are expected to adapt to the current trends and culture of society to reclaim the interests of its librarians. This study aims to explain the concept of library interior design both theoretically and practically based on literature review. The results showed that interior design is an important part that must be considered by library managers. Interior design in addition to attract visitors visit can also increase interest in reading, forming a positive image of the library, and foster satisfaction for pemustaka. In addition to considering the aesthetic aspect, the interior design of a library must still pay attention to its functional aspects. Post-Modern Space concept innovation with additional cafe and lounge can be applied in modern libraries while taking into account the layout, color, lighting, air circulation and sound system.

"In the context of tourism, advertising as a “place” for the encounter of various fields, the destination as a landscape of identities appears as a mediatized image at various levels, among which the pragmatics of a specific promotional language. This specific language consists in specific techniques and generates meaning beyond the camera as a ubiquitous condition of the third Greimasian category (the aesthetic). Based on qualitative research methodology borrowed both from discourse studies and tourism studies, I aim at placing my model contradicting the tensed relation between the three categories (the sacred, the ludic and the aesthetic)."

Abstract: Design is presented as an apt object of aesthetic appreciation. The nature of its aesthetic dimension will be developed in terms of the relationship between form and function. Specially, by looking at the role that knowledge about function plays in our design aesthetic judgements. Then, I will present the dominant view about the aesthetic value of design coming from functional beauty accounts. Finally, in the last section, I will focus upon some problems derived from the aforementioned integral model form-function in design aesthetics. By means of practical cases, I will point to the narrowness of functional beauty accounts and its inability to include a broader range of actual design objects and their relevant design aesthetic properties.

In the modern context, interior design has inevitably become a part of social culture. All kinds of modeling, decoration and furnishings in modern interior space show people's pursuit and desire for a better life. These different styles of modern interior design rely on science and technology, utilize culture and art as the connotation. Its development often reflects the cultural spirit of a nation. The aesthetic evaluation plays an important role in the modern interior design. With development of derivative digital devices, a large number of digital images have been emerged. The rapid development of computer vision and artificial intelligence makes aesthetic evaluation for interior design become automatic. This paper implements an intelligent aesthetic evaluation of interior design framework to help people choose the appropriate and effective interior design from collected images or mobile digital devices.

The application of coloured and optical glass in architecture is of great importance in terms of creating spatial dynamics and uniqueness of space. Dichroic glass is a type of glass coated with a thin layer of metal, which causes the glass surface to change in colour depending on the viewing angle. The colour of the glass depends on the incidence of different wavelengths of light passing through or bouncing off the glass surface, thus creating different effects of colour refraction. Created effects provide different possibilities in the design of buildings and improvements in the aesthetic quality of the interior space. This paper deals with the analysis and application of coloured dichroic glass in architecture and interior design.
