The physics of the last century is included in all EU curricula and emphasis in education is shifted from content to the forms, methods and means of teaching and learning. Different kinds of lessons (including laboratory classes) and their didactic structure are subject to the understanding, adoption and creating conditions to build motivation to learn physics and astronomy, active utilization of physical knowledge and building cognitive and practical skills. Performance of demonstration and laboratory classes using a laser device is a type of teaching strategy to good education in physics. Properties of laser light as observation, classification, communication, drawing conclusions, planning, interpretation and forecasting, are particularly suitable when monitoring and studying the phenomena of interference and diffraction. Through both qualitative and quantitate ways, in this paper is presented a physical experiment for measurement of thin threads in a High school from students. Experimental skills will enhance interest in physics and especially to modern applications of laser devices, as well as career guidance of students.

This research was motivated by low of motivation to learn physics at SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi. By using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model, it is expected that students will more easily to understand and receive knowledge effectively and efficiently. So, it can increase student learning motivation, because the temperature material and its changes contain a description of the material that is conceptual and quantitative, so in presenting this material a learning model is needed to encourage student learning motivation. From the results, it can be seen that there is an increase in learning motivation experienced by students from the first cycle 59.74% to 72.18% in cycle II and 82.61% in cycle III. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model can increase student motivation in class VII B SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi.

The purpose of this research is to know how to incerease the students’ learning achievement that has been applied learning contextual task-based learning model and to know the influence of contextual learning in  the task-based teaching model to improve achievemen and motivation to learn the material pe civis lesson.   This research is an action research by theree rounds. Each round consists of four phases. Design activities are observation, and revesion. The subject of the research is XI grade students of Bina Informatika Ternate accademic year 2015/2016. Data obtained in the form of a formative test results, observation sheet teaching and learning activities. The results of the research showed that students’ achivement increased from round I to III that the round 1, (70.00 % ), (92,50 %)  3 cycles, conclusions of this research is the method of cooperatif learning can be a positive influence on students motivation and achievement in material udaya politics in Indonesia. It means that this model can be used as one of the alternative learning for Pkn.            Kata  kunci: PKn, cooperative learning method

Research has shown that using graphic novels in the classroom is one of useful approaches to promote the understanding of learners especially for lengthy and difficult literature texts. This study reports the extent of graphic novel in facilitating students’ understanding of literature and the students’ perceptions towards using graphic novel in learning literature (L2) as compared to other genre of texts. This is a mixed method study which employs quantitative and qualitative methods to obtain data. The findings indicate that most students found that graphic novel helped them to enrich their vocabularies and understand the text better. The findings also reveal that students were attracted to the illustrations in the literature text in which this helps to boost their motivation to learn literature in the classroom. The findings provide useful insights for English as Second Language (ESL) teachers in incorporating and expanding the literature learning through graphic novels in the future. The findings also imply the need of ESL teachers to use graphic novels effectively in facilitating their teaching and learning of literature in L2 classrooms particularly to suit the 21st century teaching and learning.

Abstract. This journal discusses the development of variations in teaching in increasing learning motivation. The learning process is an activity that involves an individual (physical and spiritual), learning activities are never carried out without a strong motivation or motivation from within the individual or from outside the individual who participates in learning activities. Therefore, the learning process requires the development and use of variations in teaching to generate student motivation. Variations in teaching include variations in teaching styles, variations in media and materials, and variations in teaching and learning interactions. Motivation has a very important role in learning activities, there is no learning activity without motivation, therefore motivation has a strategic role in achieving the goals or results of learning. Keywords: Development Of Teaching Variations and Motivation to Learn

Mobile technology is now part of the everyday life of teachers and students and thus tends to become an inseparable part of the educational activities. Teachers and students are increasingly using mobile technologies in teaching and learning. Therefore, it is purposeful to responsibly integrate technologies into the educational process. However, technical and pedagogical support is necessary in order to facilitate both teacher and students’ understanding of this educational potential. Besides, it is still very little known and there is very little evidence about the effectiveness of the application of these technologies in the teaching/learning process. This research aims to explore the perceptions of Romanian and Lithuanian teachers regarding the use of mobile technologies in education. Keywords: motivation to learn, mobile technology, preliminary study, science education, science teachers.

Several reports have suggested that students have difficulties in understanding the concepts of fraction, particularly on fraction equivalence and addition of fractions that involved unlike denominators. It is envisaged that the implementation of Virtual Manipulative using iPad would enhance students’ conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of Virtual Manipulative with the use of iPads in teaching equivalence and addition of fractions. The target groups were two Year 7 classes in one of the secondary schools in Brunei, one class comprising high-achieving students, while the other consist of low-achieving students. An action research design that included quantitative and qualitative data analyses was conducted. The findings revealed that the implementation of Virtual Manipulative using iPad has significant effect on students’ performance in-group activities, and it has significant effect for students with low abilities. The study also revealed that students’ motivation to learn fractions increased as they found the use of iPads to be fun and interesting. However, the results also revealed that the use of iPads as a teaching tool appeared to be challenging for teachers.

The article analyses the formation of senior school students in the educational school setting which reflects modern market tendencies. One of the priorities of directions in Russia has become the process of digitalization of the education of late. It creates the digital educational setting and the use of the possibilities of digital technologies in implementing the improvement of education quality. The authors underline that in modern conditionsthe necessity to form the senior school students’ economic culture is actualized by the fact that the economic education is created in school built on the proactive principals which are taking place in the society and closely connected with the fact that the school is becoming digital. In this connection exactly digital technologies which are mentioned by the government of Russia as a way to solve the educational tasks which are not solved or badly solved on the basis of traditional technologies. To find out how to carry out the formation of the senior school students’ economic culture under conditions of digital economy. Method and methodology of work performance: scientific-pedagogical grounds for research served as a set of initial theoretical justifications: key provisions of cultural and learner centered approach for the description of characters and types of teaching and learning activities of school students; provisions of competency based approach to describe the essence of competency being in the structure of senior school students economic culture; ideas of individually oriented education to find out patterns of senior school students’ economic culture’s formation in conditions of development of digital economy. Results: The development of the education system under condition of the digital economy presents new approaches to comprehension and the formation of new economic culture. The field of application of results: results of the study may be applied in the scientific research and in the teaching of courses of pedagogy, social pedagogy, comparative pedagogy and in career guidance in pedagogical higher and secondary institutions as well as in the system of staff training.
