This article describes the implementation of political education through learning Pancasila and Civic Education learning to increase the political awareness of students in Abu Bakar Integrated Islamic High School Yogyakarta. This research used descriptive qualitative method. This study gathers data use interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of political education through learning Pancasila and Civic Education learning was using the 2013 Curriculum and KTSP, the development of the material, and the use of learning models. Factors that support the implementation of political education are the application of a national curriculum, professional teachers, extracurricular activities, and the availability of facilities.

This article describes the role of political education to improve public participation in the election of West Sumatra governor. The governor election is expected to be able to raise the level ofoptimism in order to improve the leadership qualities of local government, and the spirit of political education for citizen. This study applied descriptive qualitative method by using interviews and documentations as research instruments. Based on the documentation instrument, it showed the statistics of permanent voters who voted in the 2015 for governor election was 59.58% or 3,489,743 permanent voters. It was implied that 40.42% or 1,410,680 voters did not take their votes. This low level of public participation could be a sign that democracy has not effectively been implemented at the local level. The researchers concluded that the socialization activities of Governor election, as one of responsibilities of General Election Commission, have failed to increase the political awareness of the society.

It is the fact that religious extracurricular learning is done differently and variously by each educational unit level. The interesting phenomenon happens in which is a learning process of religious education extracurricular at a high school of MTA Surakarta. The high school is registered as the list of the fifty leading Islamic high school in Indonesia. This study of educational ideology analyzes is found that at the MTA high school is implemented the integral curriculum structure, that is national curriculum combined with diniyah curriculum . Although it is still in a small portion of the diniyah curriculum made as its core curriculum. The Islamic extracurricular activities are implemented invarious forms , such as the recitation on Sunday morning , a special recitation , Arba’in Hadith studies and Riyadlus Shalihin, khitobah , BTA , Tahsin , Tahfidz , Muhadasah, and Tasyji’ul Lughoh and Nafar Ramadan. Secara faktual pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler agama dilakukan secara berbeda dan beragam oleh setiap tingkat satuan pendidikan. Fenomena yang menarik terjadi, yaitu proses pembelajaran ekstrakulikuler pendidikan agama di SMA MTA Surakarta. SMA ini masuk ke dalam daftar lima puluh SMA Islam unggulan se-Indonesia. Kajian tentang analisis ideologi pendidikan ini ditemukan bahwa di SMA MTA Surakarta diterapkan struktur kurikulum secara integral, yaitu dipadukannya kurikulum nasional dengan kurikulum diniyah. The present article presents some results of a Master’s degree research on the contributions of Paulo Freire State High School along the process of political education of young settlers who lives in the municipality of Abelardo Luz, in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. It aims to identify this school’s contributions in the process of political education of these young people and understand the relation between such a formation and the struggle for a field school. This qualitative study used as tools for collecting data school observations, analysis over its political-pedagogical project, and semi-structured interviews. We based our analysis on authors such as Pistrak (2000; 2009), Freire (1987; 2004), Snyders (2005), Dalmagro (2003; 2016), Vendramini (2007) and Caldart (2000; 2004). Paulo Freire school is contextualized along with the research subjects, students’ and educators’ characteristics, highlighting some contributions given to the school in connection to the political education of its students. One of the conclusion is that the participation of the Landless Movement and school takes place according to the political-pedagogical project based on Study Complexes, contributing to the fulfillment of a field school when it reaffirms a school formation as a right and reinforces the permanent need of school occupation. It is reinforced the school as a room for struggles, a terrain where contradictory forces face each other, leaving room for action.

This article aims to describe the effect of gender differences in the political awareness of high school students as a novice voter. The study method uses a correlational research design using a quantitative approach. The analysis used was independent samples T-test using SPSS 21. Data collection instruments used a questionnaire distributed to research samples. The sample is 245 students consisting of 128 female students and 117 male students. The results of the study showed differences in the level of political awareness between male and female students, male students had higher political awareness than female students. There is a positive and significant gender influence on the political awareness of high school students.

Abstract Institution-grown extremism is among the most urgent challenges confronting societies today. Attempts to understand extremism often treat this development as a form of the political education system. This study explores by starting actual experiences of radicalization and discover a great diversity of experiences from the leaders of Senior High Schools. This study explores the role of education institutions in Senior High Schools in Metro in confronting the radicalization of religious outlooks among students by analyzing their activities. The results of this study showed that radicalization is not something done to people, but something produced by active participants. From this phenomenon, the leaders of educational institutions in Senior High School conducted a practical guide to the de-radicalization of religious outlooks by various programs. In addition, organizations by religious affiliation have influenced religious formation among students both of religious organizations affiliated to Nadhlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah. The aim of this study was to explore the role of teachers’ Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) as motivator in political education. The research was conducted at State of Senior High School 1 (SMAN 1) and State of Senior of High School 10 (SMAN 10) at Padang City. This research had employed a qualitative research with comparative studies. The data were analyzed using data analysis techniques, data presentation, and concluding. The validity of the data was tested by source triangulation. The result showed that the role of Teachers’ Pancasila and Civic Education not only educating the character of the nation's generation but emphasize the role of Teachers’ Pancasila and Civic Education as motivators in political education. Where the teacher as a motivator plays a role to give encouragement, enthusiasm, and intelligence to students in understanding political education. The junior high school is an institution used for the activities of learn of teachers as well as the river subsides be left to be liberal and generous has so far obtained teaching subject corresponding to its field. School would be one of the places where to educate anak-anak with a view to give the science which is given to be they can be useful for a nation and country. This study aims to to see how the role of of the schools in political education. The fact that there are official middle east news agency hoax in indonesia quite disturbing and extremely dangerous for the community especially students of becoming professional actors , in order to do this schools are obliged to increase political awareness students. Was used in the study a method of descriptive of it is anticipated that analysis. The role of school showed that school is the role of most important education for made by media political education that can be educate political students via with the program political education both through subjects pkn, osis activities, extracurricular, and the form of other activities that planned manner and is open to give political information to students.

This research explores innovative learning models to ensure that Indonesian vocational high school graduates still have an excellent competency after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. This research adopted the qualitative method by conducting content analysis. Based on the analysis, this study has discovered three innovative learning methods, namely [1] research-based learning; to enhance data literacy, [2] interactive multimedia-based learning; for increasing technological literacy, and [3] project-based learning; conducted to empower human literacy. The students’ capabilities to compete in the corporate world are better if they apply these three learning models. It would also reduce the risk of unemployment due to technological disruption during the pandemic and the increased population by acquiring these literacy skills. It is hoped that vocational high school graduates will be hired fast and able to take part in the corporate world and have the three new literacy skills as the principal capital in taking part in the corporate world. The purpose of this study is (1) to know whether there is influence of political education on the political participation of  Civic Education Students of Teacher Training and Education Faculty  Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo on the implementation of  East Java Regional Head General Election in 2018. (2) To find out how much influence is given between political education on the political participation of Civic Education  Students, Teachers Training and Education Faculty Muhammadiyah University of  Ponorogo in the implementation of general elections East Java Regional Head of 2018. This research uses quantitative methods conducted at the Muahammadiyah University of  Ponorogo with the respondents are students of Civic Education Teacher Training and Education Faculty University Muhammadiyah of  Ponorogo 2018 who have the right to vote in East Java Regional Head General Election 2018. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation techniques. The population in this study were 69 respondents, while the sample used  many 55 respondents.The research results obtained from this research is the positive and significant influence given political education against political participation with sig 0.000 <0,05 and political education gives effect of 0,535 or 53,5%.

This study was aimed to analyze the quality of the use of teaching materials of history based on the materials relevance with the students’ competency, the students’ political awareness, and the need of teaching materials of history of the struggle of Todung Sutan Gunung Mulia. This study used a qualitative method (case study) to obtain the data about the use of teaching materials of history and the students’ political awareness at SMAK Diponegoro Blitar. The results of the research showed that 1) teaching materials that was used had not supported the political awareness, 2) the students’ political awareness was still low, and 3) teaching materials of history of Todung Sutan Gunung Mulia was needed to improve the students’ political awareness at SMAK Diponegoro Blitar.
