Education for self realization is one of the cardinal point through wish our national philosophy and educational goals can be realized. Self realization is aimed at self confidence, self actualization, self reliance, independence, free and responsible citizenry who are capable of contributing meaningfully to the development of humanity. In realizing this goal, the schooling system largely depends on the instructional approach which makes both educators and learners to rely on classroom instructions to realize the self. It is true that much has been realized through this approach, yet it is not every learner that can benefit from the instructional approach. Using Plato's human psychology to construct education for self realization, the Nigerian learner will realize himself more because it will enable him to discover his potentials. But to what extent therefore can Plato's human psychology help in the construction of education for self realization in Nigeria education? The importance of this paper is that every being has desires and if such desires are matched with potentials and possibilities it may lead to the authentic self. The philosophical analysis method was employed in examining Plato's human psychology, education for self realization and how Plato's human psychology can be used to construct education for self realization in the schooling system.

This study aims to analyze the character values ​​in Sirah Nabawiyah Ar-Rahiq Al-Makhtum by Syafiyyurrahman al-Mubarakfuri, so that it is revealed how the character education of the Prophet Muhammad. and analyze its relevance to current educational goals. The research method used is library research, the type of research approach is deductive and the analysis method is content analysis. Data collection techniques used were library techniques. This research succeeded in proving that prophetic values ​​based on the history of the Prophet Muhammad have a strong relevance to the concept of contemporary character education. Prophetic values ​​loaded with character education in this era, especially related to religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect for achievement, friendship, love for peace , likes to read, care about the environment, care about social, and responsibility.

Teens are identical with instability and anxiety for which they need to express as their individual self-actualization. So far there have been no such efforts to accommodate their needs through literary works. The current study explores the dictions employed in English poems written by the students (identified as teens) of English Letters Study Program to find about how far a poem can be as a means for teens to express their feelings. The subjects were assigned to write poems of their interests. The 32 poems were then analyzed and interpreted to find out how most students expressed their anxieties in terms of love to parents, love to boy/girlfriends, friendship, hope, admiration, disappointment, encouragement, divinity and educational goals. The findings indicate that they turn out to be able to write poems when they are emotionally touched. In particular, they employed a limited range of lexical items to express their love to their parents, boy/girlfriends, in addition to love to their college in pursuit of their educational goals. As the general practice of teaching literature ending up with the students’ analyzing literary works, it is high time that they were assigned to write poems to express their feelings.   Keywords: anxieties, poem, love, emotionally touched

This article stimulated by the fact that the aim education of the Al-Qur’an perspective and western education are still not understood by various group. This condition is influenced by the lack of curiosity about the educational goals of the Al-Qur’an perspektive and westren education. The aims of article was to give a clear picture about the aim education of Al-Qur’an perspective and western education.This study revealed that the aims of education of the Al-Qur’an in relation and westren education can be known by the public. The implication of this current study is to create awareness among the society towards the educational objectives of Al-Quran and western education perspective. The method used in this study uses analytical methods, types of research, and research data sources. The competition for jobs in big cities tends to be tougher for the members of groups that are marginalized and socially stigmatized. As a consequence, alternative cultures and vocations emerge. An example of this is the role of professional dominatrix in the kink or alternative sexuality subculture. Using interpretive analysis method, this article studies youth with other marginal identities—namely ‘woman’, ‘homosexual’, and ‘working-class member’ — in regards to their choice to pursue their career in kink subculture as a professional dominatrix in Netflix’s show Bonding. The findings of this research are as follows: The legitimation of alternative sexuality industry as a metropolitan subculture; young people choose to pursue a career, especially in subcultural industry, as a platform as well as motivation for self-actualization, and; jobs in sex and alternative sexuality industry are taken by marginalized young people as an effort to make a living in a big city.

Abstrak Nilai kearifan lokal merupakan produk budaya masa lalu pada suatu komunitas masyarakat  dan memiliki peran mengatur tatanan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Nailai-nilai keraifan lokal ini dapat dijumpai dalam cerita rakyat, termasuk cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat di dalam cerita rakyat Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya  dan peranannya dalam pembentuk karakter generasi muda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan data bersumber pada cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. Cerita itu diperoleh dari  Dokumentasi Perpustakaan Balai Bahasa  Sulawesi Tengah.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sepuluh  nilai kearifan lokal dalam cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, yaitu  nilai rasa syukur dan rasa hormat,  nilai amanah/dapat dipercaya,  nilai tolong-menolong,  nilai kesopanan, nilai keberanian dan percaya diri,  nilai kebijaksanaan,  nilai musyawarah, nilai kerja keras, nilai komitmen.  Dari kesepuluh nilai kearifan lokal yang ditemukan, secara keseluruhan dapat digunakan untuk dasar pembentukan karakter generasi muda. Kata Kunci: Nilai kearifan lokal, cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, pembentukan  karakter  Value of Local Culture in History of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya and Its Role in Forming the Young Generation Character Abstract Value of Local Culture was a product of past culture in a society community and have role to organize the system of community life. These values of local culture could be found in folklore, including story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. This research purposed to describe the value of local culture which was inside of folklore of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya and its role in forming the young generation character. The method which was used was descriptive analysis method with data sourced on story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. That story was gotten form library documentation of Balai Bahasa of Central Sulawesi Province. The results of research showed that there were ten values of local culture in story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, that were the value of thankfulness and respect, the value of trust, the value of mutual assistance, the value of politeness, the value of bravery and self-confidence, the value of wisdom, the value of deliberation, the value of hard work, the value of commitment. From ten of the local culture values which were found, overall they could be used to basic formation of the young generation character. Key word: The Value of Local Culture, Story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, Character Forming

ملخص البحث: يُجلي هذا البحث اهتمام ابن خاتمة الأنصاري الأندلسي بتربية النفس البشرية والسمو بها، وغرس القيم السلوكية الحميدة فيها، خصوصاً، أن الشعر الأندلسي أتاح المجال واسعاً لاستيعاب قيم إنسانية نبيلة من شتى جوانب الحياة الأندلسية، ومن تلك الجوانب العلاقة بالآخر التي نبعت من اتجاهات قصيدة الخوف الأندلسية، مُتمثلة في وصايا ابن خاتمة وحِكمه الشعرية، على نحو يستجلي علاقات تقابلية ثنائية جدلية، التي تشعبت لتشمل علاقة: الأعلى أو الأدنى، والإساءةأو الإحسان، والكلام أوالصمت، والغربة أو الإقامة؛ لتظهر النفس البشرية أمام الآخر بصورة سوية. لعلني أستطيع من خلال هذا السعي وكنتيجة له أن أقدّم أهم القيم السلوكية الحميدة الكامنة في العلاقات الثنائية التقابلية الجدلية التي وجّهت ابن خاتمة الأنصاري الأندلسي من جهة، وحِرصَه الشديد على بثّها وترسيخها في نفوس أبناء عصره من جهة أخرى بوساطة سلطة القارئ على النص.الكلمات المفتاحية: الخوف- العلاقة بالآخر- وصايا الحِكَم- قيم سلوكية- تقابل.Abstract:This study will polish Ibn. Among this sides is the relationship with others which flow out from Andalus Al-Khawf poem trends, such as Ibn. Khātimah injunctions and poetry wisdom. It draws out from its dual opposite relationships the following relationship that comprise highest and lowest, good and misdeed, speaking and silence, migration and residence, to exhibit human minds in front of other with a straight illustration. I will present in this work the most important good human behavior value that exist in dual opposite controversial relationship that guide Ibn. Puisi di zaman Andalus adalah satu wadah yang luas yang mampu mencerap nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang terpancar dari pelbagai aspek kehidupan Andalusia. Di antaranya ialah aspek hubungan dengan pihak lain yang timbul daripada halatuju yang menggariskan perjalanan puisi yang bertemakan perasaan takut di Andalus seperti yang di dapati dalam kumpulan wasiat Ibn Khatimah dan juga kata hikmah berpuitis beliau. Hubungan kontra dua hala yang turut merangkumi hubungan di antara pihak atasan dan bawahan, kebaikan dan kekejaman, luahan dan berdiam diri, duduk dan berkelana; menjadikan jiwa manusia terlukis dengan satu bentuk yang sama di mata pihak yang lain. Melalui kupasan ini, nilai perilaku terpenting yang tersirat dalam bentuk hubungan kontras dua hala tersebut yang mencorakkan hasil kerja Ibn Khatimah yang amat komited untuk melihatnya tersebar dan tertanam di kalangan pembacanya dengan autoriti mereka; akan diketengahkan.Kata kunci: Takut– Hubungan dengan yang Lain– Wasiat dan Kata Hikmah– Nilai-Nilai Perilaku– Kontras.

In the midst of a shifting economic and cultural landscape, many young adults spend their twenties focused on individual achievement and self-actualization while delaying entrance into social roles such as marriage. Yet religion, particularly Evangelical Protestantism, places a high value on marriage as the legitimate context for sexuality and childbearing—which encourages earlier unions. This article, based on interviews with 87 dating, engaged, and married Evangelical young adults (aged 18 to 29), describes the social reaction to respondents’ marital timelines, which are typically at younger ages than their secular peers. Two sources of strong disapproval emerge. First, secular influences from outside of these respondents’ religious communities are almost unilaterally critical of early marriage plans. Second, even within religious communities, Evangelicals from middle class cultural milieus may face additional disapproval if their family formation plans are interpreted as compromising their educational goals. This article offers important insight on the intersecting roles of religion and social class in shaping the trajectories of young adults.

Spiritual intelligence is a psychological construct that has begun to gain attention from scholars in the psychology field. Existing theories and conceptual frameworks regarding spiritual intelligence mainly refer to western scholars. However, the theories and conceptual frameworks proposed by the western scholars are not suitable to be used as a benchmark in the life of a Muslim. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyse the spiritual intelligence concept based of the perspective of hadiths using the content analysis method by identifying the relevant hadiths that relate to spiritual intelligence. The study has found that hadith describes faith as the foundation of spiritual intelligence. In addition, the study also found that amongst spiritual elements highlighted in hadiths are piety, love towards Allah and the Prophet, self-confidence and steadfast patience. ABSTRAK Kecerdasan Spiritual pula merupakan konstruk psikologi yang mula mendapat perhatian dari para sarjana dalam bidang psikologi. Sebelum ini banyak teori dan kerangka konsep berkaitan kecerdasan spiritual dirujuk kepada sarjana Barat. Walau bagaimanapun, teori dan kerangka konsep yang dikemukakan oleh mereka adalah tidak sesuai untuk dijadikan kayu ukur dalam hidup seorang muslim. Oleh itu tujuan artikel ini ditulis adalah untuk mengupas konsep kecerdasan spiritual dari perspektif hadis dengan menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan iaitu dengan mengenal pasti hadis-hadis Rasulullah SAW yang berkaitan dengan kecerdasan spiritual. Kajian mendapati hadis menerangkan bahawa asas kecerdasan spiritual adalah iman. Kajian juga mendapati antara elemen spiritual yang dipetik daripada hadis adalah elemen takwa, cinta terhadap Allah dan Rasul, yakin dengan diri dan mempunyai kesabaran yang tinggi.

The transformative self aims toward authenticity and self-actualizing, which this chapter addresses from a developmental perspective. Two forms of authenticity are distinguished. Essentialist authenticity defines the true self as solely a matter of self-discovery and being true to one’s inborn traits or perceived soul. Existentialist authenticity also values self-discovery but emphasizes self-invention and being true to one’s values. Essentialist authenticity does not necessitate moral concerns, but existentialist authenticity does. The chapter argues that authenticity emerges not only via the matching principle of authenticity (matching actions with some true self) but also via the poiesis principle (the humane, self-making processes and perspectivity of a quiet ego). Youthful authenticity emphasizes independence and identity consolidation, whereas mature authenticity emphasizes interdependent self-actualizing. The chapter then examines self-actualization as maturely authentic self-understanding. Finally, the chapter reframes Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to correct common oversimplifications of belongingness and esteem in light of the developing, transformative self.
