Background: Reproductive health is a crucial part of general health and central features of human development. WHO reported that nearly one-third of all healthy life lost among adolescent girls because of reproductive health problems. 250 million new cases of STD occur worldwide each year with a high rate in 16-19 years age group.Methods: A quantitative study was carried out in 80 adolescent girls and the non-probability purposive sampling technique was used for the selection of the subjects and the school. The data was collected through of using a structured knowledge questionnaire. A structured teaching program was developed and administered to the adolescent group (13-19 years).Results: The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result revealed that after the intervention the mean and standard deviation of the post-test knowledge was 18.41±3.40 being compared to mean and standard deviation of pre-test knowledge 14.06±2.46. The enhancement of knowledge score is the mean difference 4.35. It indicates that there was a significant improvement in the level of knowledge of participants. The calculated t-value (7.39) on analysis of the data was found to be significant at p value 0.05.Conclusions: The study concluded that a structured teaching programme was significant effective to improving the level of knowledge of reproductive health.

Background: Adolescent reproductive health is one of the component of the reproductive health. It is most important issue in the world. Reproductive capability is taking place at an earlier age and adolescents are indulging in risk taking behaviors day by day. The objective of this study is to assess knowledge regarding sexual and reproductive health among adolescents. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in Kathmandu valley to assess the knowledge regarding sexual and reproductive health among adolescents. Total of 200 respondents were selected through non-probability purposive sampling technique. Self-administered written questionnaire was used for data collection. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics such as Chi-square test. Results: The findings revealed that most of the respondents had knowledge regarding transmission and protection of HIV/AIDS and STIs but still some respondents had misconception regarding it. The statistical analysis revealed that the total mean knowledge score with standard deviation was 45.02±8.674. Nearly half of the respondents (49.5%) had moderate level of knowledge, followed by inadequate level of knowledge 29.5% and adequate level of knowledge 21.0% regarding sexual and reproductive health. There was statistically significant association of level of knowledge with area of residence (p-value 0.002). Conclusion: Nearly half of the respondents possess some knowledge about sexual and reproductive health but still effective educational intervention is required to increase their knowledge.

This research study was under taken to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding Skilled Birth Attendant among Nursing Students at the selected institute of nursing Indore, M.P. this study important to conduct a pre-experimental study on Skilled Birth Attendant among nursing student. The main population consist of nursing students, sample size are 60 nursing students, was selected by using Non-probability convenient sampling technique. A demographic variable was used. Pre interventional knowledge level was assessed by self-structured knowledge questionnaire. The data collected was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The average (Mean± Standard Deviation) knowledge scoring in pre-test to measuring the pre-existed knowledge about skilled birth attendant found to be 10.40with Standard Deviation 4.54. And post interventional knowledge score are 23.85 is Standard Deviation4.11.Standard error are 0.499 & calculated‘t’ value is 15.5307 at df 59. The p value was 0.0001(significant) which clearly show that structured teaching programme was very effective in increasing the knowledge of Nursing Students.

The present study aims at assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programe on knowledge regarding selected aspects of adolescent health among adolescent girls. The current study is based on General Systems Theory by Ludwig Von Bertalanffy. The research approach is quantitative approach and the design selected for the study is pre experimental design, in which one group pre test — post test design. Sampling technique is convenience sampling. Samples consists of 40 adolescent girls who are studying in 8,9,10,11,12 classes and those adolescent girls who satisfies the inclusion criteria are considered as samples. The main objective of the present study is to assess the existing knowledge on selected aspects of adolescent health among adolescent girls. Evaluate the effectiveness of Structured Teaching programme on selected aspects of adolescent health among adolescent girls. Associate the level of knowledge score on adolescent health with selected demographic variables among adolescent girls.Content validity is done with the help of experts. Split-Half method is used to check the reliability.

Aim: The study aims to create awareness among Tobacco users on knowledge regarding Oral Health Hazards. Objectives: i) To assess the pre and post test level of knowledge of oral health hazards among tobacco users. ii) To assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge of oral health hazards among tobacco users. iii) To find the association between post test level of knowledge regarding oral health hazards among tobacco users with their socio demographic variables. Methods & Materials: A quantitative research approach-Pre-experimental research design with one group pre test and post test design was adopted. 50 samples were selected for the study by using non probability purposive sampling technique. Results: The study findings shows that in pre test level of knowledge among 50 samples 42(84%) had inadequate knowledge and 8(16%) had moderate adequate knowledge. In post test level of knowledge among 50 samples 33(66%) had moderate adequate knowledge and 17(34%) had had excellent knowledge. The pre test mean was 5.74 with the standard deviation of 10.29 and the post test mean was 14.6 with the standard deviation of 9.91 the mean difference of pre and post is 8.86; standard error is 1.401 ‘t’ value is 34.775 significant at p<0.05 it indicates that the knowledge level of tobacco users improved after structured teaching programme. The finding of the study shows that there is significant association between level of knowledge with occupation p<0.05. Conclusion: The study finding shows that, the post test level of knowledge is better than the pre-test knowledge. Hence it can be concluded that, structured teaching programme on oral health hazards was effective in improving the knowledge level among tobacco users. Newborn babies constitute the foundation of life. The birth of a baby is one of the most awe inspiring and emotional events that can occur in one’s life time. In India most the mothers are not aware of management regarding minor disorder of newborn (vomiting, diarrhea, physiological jaundice conjunctivitis, umbilical cord infection, skin rashes etc). Mother plays an important role in the identifying minor developmental deviation and early evidences of the disease process because she is constantly and closely watching her baby. Methodology: pre experimental (one group pretest and posttest) design was adopted for this study. The study was conducted at postnatal ward AIIMS Raipur with sample size of 30 primipara mothers. Non probability convenient sampling technique was adopted to select the sample. The data was collected by means of self-structured questionnaire to assess the knowledge among primipara mothers. Result: The mean score of pre-test was 15.36 and mean score of post-test was 22.4 and the mean improvement was 7.04, which is 45.83% of total primipara mothers. The paired ‘t’ value obtained for knowledge was 10.41 which was found significant at 0.05 level (p<0.05) which is 2.05. Which result shows that significantly an improvement in the knowledge of the primipara mothers after the structured teaching programme (STP) on selected minor ailments of newborn.

AbstractThe study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge of polycystic ovarian syndrome among adolescent girls. The study design adopted was pre experimental one group pre-test post- test design. The demographic Proforma were collected from the adolescent girls by using structured knowledge questionnaire. Data obtained in these areas were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. A significant difference between pre test and post test knowledge was found (t79= 2.0 p<0.05).The study findings showed that the structured teaching programme was effective in improving knowledge of adolescent girls regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome. There was no significant association between the level of knowledge and demographic variables except the group in which they study (Science, Arts, Commerce)

Anemia is a clinical condition of reducing the quality of red blood cells. In circulation that is marked by low hemoglobin levels in the blood. The impact of anemia on iron nutrition results in a pale, weak, tired, dizzy, and decreased concentration of learning. Other causes: the level of knowledge of adolescent girls and the length of menstruation. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of class XI knowledge about the effects of anemia on reproductive health in SMA 6 Medan 2019. This research is descriptive using primary and secondary data. The populations in this study were 30 teenage girls in SMA 6 Medan as many as in-class XI IPA I. The sampling technique of this study was using purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study was 30 students. The results of this study indicate that the majority of people who lack knowledge are 16 people (54%) and the minority of people who have good knowledge is 4 people (13%). The study conclusion is that the majority of female student’s knowledge about the effects of anemia on reproductive health is lacking. For the school and adolescents, it is hoped that they will increase their knowledge by came and working with health workers to promote health about the effect of anemia on reproductive health.

A pre-experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding text neck syndrome among young adults in a selected college at Alappuzha District. The objectives of the study were to assess the mean knowledge score regarding text neck syndrome among young adults, to find out the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding text neck syndrome among young adults and to find out the association between pretest knowledge score and selected socio demographic variables. The Conceptual framework was based on Nola J Pender’s Health Promotion model (1982). The study was conducted at Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara. among 60 young adults, who were selected by disproportionate stratified random sampling technique. The pretest level of knowledge was assessed using structured knowledge questionnaire and structured teaching programme was given. Posttest was conducted after 7days.The result showed that the mean posttest knowledge score 20.26 with SD 3.15 was significantly higher than the pretest mean score 8.43 with SD 2.48 with a mean difference of 11.83. Since the calculated ‛t’ value 35.45 which was greater than the table value (2.00) with degree of freedom 59 at p<0.05 level of significance. Hence the study revealed that structured teaching programme on text neck syndrome was effective in improving the knowledge of young adults. The association between pretest and selected socio demographic variables showed that the pretest knowledge scores was influenced by year of study (p<0.05), family monthly income (p<0.05) and source of information (p<0.05).

Reproductive health is a healthy state physically, mentally, and socially intact, not solely free from diseases or disabilities related to reproductive systems, functions, and processes. Health education is the process of improving people's ability to maintain and improve their health. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about reproductive health in class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Baabussalaam Bandung. The design of this research was the Pre-Experimental Designs with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, the sampling technique used the total sampling with 91 respondents. The result of the research showed that before health education, a small part of all respondents (37,4%) have enough knowledge after given health education most of all respondents (73%) have good knowledge about reproductive health. Prior to being given health education some of the respondents (57.1%) had negative attitudes, after being given health education most of all respondents (65.9%) had a positive attitude about reproductive health. The result of the Wilcoxon test analysis for the knowledge and attitude variables were significant (P-Value 0.000 ≤ 0,05). It can be concluded that there is an influence of health education to the level of knowledge and attitude of adolescent about reproduction health in class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Baabussalaam city of Bandung. Nurses are expected to maximize their role as an educator in providing health education for adolescents, especially on adolescent reproductive health. Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Reproductive Health

Aim: to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge and attitude regarding vitamin A deficiency and its prophylaxis among mothers of under five children. Objectives: (1). To assess the knowledge and attitude among mothers of under five children on vitamin A deficiency and its Prophylaxis. (2). To find the effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme in terms of gaining knowledge and attitude of mothers regarding Vitamin A deficiency and its prophylaxis for under five children. (3). To find association between the pre test level of knowledge and attitude among mothers of under five children with their selected demographic variables. Methodology: A pre experimental research design was adopted for the study. 50 samples were selected by using non probability convenience sampling technique. The pre and post test level knowledge and attitude was assessed by using structured knowledge questionnaires and attitude scale respectively. Results: The pre test mean was 7.76 with the standard deviation of 2.17 and the post test mean was 16.68 with the standard deviation of 1.81. The mean difference of pre and post test is 8.92; standard error is 0.281. The ‘T’ value is 31.74 is Highly Significant at p<0.05.The pre test mean was 8.98 with the standard deviation of 3.47 and the post test mean was 24.56 with the standard deviation of 3.45. The mean difference of pre and post test is 15.58; standard error is 0.43. The ‘T’ value is 36.23 is Highly Significant p<0.05. Hence it indicates the knowledge and attitude level of mothers are improved after structured teaching programme. Conclusion: The study concluded that structured teaching programme was effective and improved knowledge and attitude regarding vitamin A deficiency and its prophylaxis among mothers of under five children.
