The purpose of this research, themed Education Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) content analysis of the instructional technology projects, is to make an assessment of the situation. The data of the research were collected through document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, and subjected to descriptive and content analysis. As a result of the research: when considering the distribution by years, the most projects are seen in 2015 and 2017. Considering the disciplines in which the projects take place, it is evident that they are mostly in the field of Information Technologies. When we consider the result regarding the level of the schools involved in the teaching-themed projects, the highest number was seen in the projects that included primary and secondary schools.

In recent years there has been a large increase in the number of research that deal with values education in Turkey. There are several reviews to determine the trends of these studies. However, these reviews were mostly limited to theses, dissertations and proceedings, and it is necessary to review articles on values education. The data of the research conducted with the qualitative research method was gathered by document analysis. 479 articles were included in the research after duplicates and the articles published in non-refereed journals were removed. Content analysis was used to analyze the obtained data. According to the findings of the research; (a) the highest number of articles were published in 2017, (b) qualitative research methods were the most common research methods, (c) most frequently document analysis was preferred as the data collection tool, and content analysis was preferred as the analysis method, (d) data were collected from pre-service teachers the most and purposeful sampling was the most favored sampling method, (e) the sample size is mostly less than 50, (f) mostly the answer to a single research question was sought, (g) the majority of articles were written by two authors, (h) most articles were written by assistant professors as titles and by teachers of the Ministry of National Education on an institutional basis, (i) the articles mostly used domestic sources (j) the majority of the articles were written in Turkish and had not an English extended summary, (k) the most favored journal was The Journal of Values Education.

Aim: In this study, it is aimed to contribute to the literature by analyzing the success of Turkey participating in the Para Taekwondo World Championships. Methods: In the study, Turkey's success over the years, which participated in the World Para Taekwondo Championships, the first of which was held in 2009 and the last in 2019, has been made. For this purpose, tables were created by using document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. Results: In the findings section, an evaluation was made by tabulating the years the championships were held and the number of participants in Turkey, the number of medals won and the world rankings of these years .As a result of the research, it was found that with the increasing number of participants in each championship, there was an increase in the number of medals won. Conclusion: In the conclusion part, with the call of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK)'s 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program "Sports Research", attention was drawn to the project studies aimed at improving disabled athletes and sports for the disabled. It was emphasized that research and project studies on para taekwondo branch could increase the number of elite athletes and thus the successes in the international World Para Taekwondo Championships could be continued increasingly. The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of sport managers in Turkey on the concept of sport by means of metaphors. 74 sport managers participated in the research. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. Content analysis method was used for the data analysis. Evaluation of the data showed that sports managers produced a total of 50 metaphors. These metaphors produced were collected in 6 different categories. As a result, it was determined that sport managers expressed the concept of sport by means of metaphors in a very rich and diverse perspective. Therefore, the metaphors determined in this study may lead the sport managers and candidates responsible for the administration of sports services and activities in terms of offering a different perspective on the practice of sport management.

The purpose of this research is to determine the perceptions of the members participating in active zumba about the concept of "Zumba" with the help of metaphor. The research group consisted of 94 volunteers living in Ankara (age = 32.57 ± 9.91 years) and doing active zumba in various gyms. In the research, as a data collection tool, a "metaphor form" was prepared to determine the participants' perceptions about the concept of zumba. The research data were collected with the metaphor form sentence is written "Zumba is like …; because…. ” As the metaphors obtained in the research are used as a descriptive tool, one of the qualitative research approaches; content analysis was used.For the reliability of the analysis of the research data, the reliability coefficient between the participants was calculated and this value was found to be 97%. When the data were evaluated, it was determined that active zumba participant members produced a total of 35 metaphors.These metaphors were collected in 5 categories. While it was determined that the participants mostly developed metaphors related to the concept of zumba in the categories of "pleasure" and "feeling of happiness", these categories were followed by "health", "psychological benefit" and "socialization". The metaphors most produced by the participants are listed as entertainment, dance, chocolate, sports, lifestyle and life energy. As a result; in research for the concept of "zumba" of the participants; it has been determined that they use living, inanimate, abstract and concrete metaphors.   Özet   Bu araştırmanın amacı, aktif zumbaya katılan üyelerin ‘Zumba’ kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları algıları metafor yardımıyla belirlenmesidir. Araştırma grubunu Ankara’da yaşayan (yaş = 32,57±9,91 yıl) çeşitli spor salonlarında aktif zumba yapan 94 gönüllü oluşturmuştur. Araştırma da veri toplama aracı olarak katılımcılara zumba kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları algılarını belirlemek için “metafor formu” hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma verileri “Zumba…gibidir, Çünkü…”cümlesinin yazılı olduğu metafor formuyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen metaforlar bir betimleme aracı olarak kullanıldığından nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinin güvenirliği için katılımcılar arası güvenirlik kat sayısı hesaplanmış ve bu değer %97 olarak bulunmuştur. Veriler değerlendirildiğinde, aktif zumba katılımcısı üyelerinin toplam 35 metafor ürettiği görülmüştür. Üretilen bu metaforlar 5 kategoride toplanmıştır. Katılımcıların zumba kavramına ilişkin en çok “haz” ve “mutluluk hissi” kategorisinde metaforlar geliştirdikleri belirlenirken, bu kategorileri “sağlık”, “psikolojik fayda” ve “sosyalleşme” kategorileri izlemiştir. Katılımcıların en fazla ürettiği metaforlar eğlence, dans, çikolata, spor, yaşam biçimi ve hayat enerjisi şeklinde sıralanmıştır. Sonuç olarak; araştırmada katılımcıların “zumba” kavramı için; canlı, cansız, soyut ve somut metaforlar kullandıkları belirlenmiştir.

The aim of the study is to determine experiences of children attending a preschool class and their teacher about class rules, desirable and undesirable behaviors and strategies followed by the teacher concerning these behaviors. The study is a case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The participants were 14 children attending a class for 5 year-olds in an independent kindergarten and the teacher of the class. Semi-structured interview technique was used in the study. In addition, in two of the questions in the interview, the students were asked to draw pictures to help them describe their experiences in more detail. The data in the study were analyzed by content analysis, categorized by coding, and themes and sub-themes were obtained. As a result of the research, it was found that the opinions of the children and their teachers about class rules and undesirable behaviors were in parallel with each other. The study revealed that the experiences of children and the teacher overlap in terms of behaviors and strategies followed by the teacher in response to desirable behaviors. However, it was found that the experiences of children and their teacher differ with regards to the way class rules are determined, and behaviors and strategies followed by the teacher concerning undesirable behaviors.

The purpose of this research is to examine the pop music metaphors developed by high school students. In this study, the phenomenology model, which is one of the qualitative research methods, has been used. A total of 650 students from a public school in Province Ankara, District Mamak, attended the study during the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The data were collected through a form containing the question ‘Pop music is like... because...’. The data were analysed through content analysis. Based on the 324 different metaphors created by high school students, these metaphors are classified into 13 categories based on their shared characteristics. Students’ gender and their conditions whether they play an instrument or not were considered when categorising them. According to the findings of the study, high school students described pop music as the most energising/friendly genre. The study also demonstrates that metaphors can be an effective tool for eliciting students’ perceptions of pop music.   Keywords: High school students, metaphor, music, perception of pop music.
