Successfully optimizing the right and left sides of the brain can help to improve intelligence, logic and social intelligence. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the brain gym game in optimizing the right and left sides of students’ brains. A quantitative approach was used with a pretest/posttest design. Random sampling was used to recruit participants and the sample consisted of 53 students at XI MIPA Senior High School. The results showed that the brain gym game was effective in optimizing students’ right and left sides of the brain. Based on these results, innovation is recommended that contributes to the novelty of guidance and counseling media using the brain gym game to reflect on the functions of students’ right and left sides of the brain. Autonomy Profile of Senior High School Student Based on Birth Order and Implication from Guidance and Counseling. The research was motivated by the lack of autonomy of students, where they so many factor influence which is birth order is among them. Autonomy is the readinnes of individuals to regulate, control, and manage themselves without depend on adult person and responnsibility for decision. The purpose of research to describe autonomy of students based on birth order. The research approach using a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The population in this reseacrh is a class XII student of SMA Al Muttaqin Fullday School Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2015/2016. The results showed a picture of autonomy of students based on birth order in higher category. Recommendations research showed to teachers Guidance and Counseling and further research.

This research is motivated because supervision of Guidance and Counseling (GC) in the senior high school was not optimum. The purpose of this study was to reveal and describe the implementation of the basic tasks related to monitoring, assessment, and coaching by GC Supervisor to GC Teacher or Counselor. This study used quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The samples in this research were 33 people GC Teacher or Counselor at senior high school level in city of Pariaman with total sampling technique. The instrument used is Likert scale models. Finding of this study are as follows: (1) the quality of the implementation of monitoring by the Supervisor GC into GC Teacher or Counselor in senior high school are in the enough category, and the vocational high school are in the enough category,(2 the quality of the implementation of the assessment by GC Supervisor into GC Teacher or Counselor in senior high school are in the enough category, and the vocational high school are in the enough category, (3) and implementation guidance for GC Teacher or Counselor by GC supervisor in senior high school are in the enough category, while the vocational high school also in good category. Monitoring, assessment, and guidance that carried by GC Supervisor for GC Teacher or Counselor still needs to be improved and developed in order to advance the implementation of services GC in senior high school. The implication of this study can be used as a reference and material for consideration on the implementation of the basic tasks of GC Supervisor in senior high school.

Abstract: Nowadays, phenomeneon of juvenile delinquency has been spreading widely. Particularly to students, they usually perform juvenile delinquency that would harm themselves and finally trouble their minds due to consquences they are going to face. This study aimed to investigate the comparison of anxiety levels among students who performed juvenile delinquency. This was an analytical observational study with a cross sectional design. Subjects were 86 students of Swadharma Mopugad High School and Swadharma Werdhi Agung Senior High School obtained by using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed by using T independent test with α=0.005. The T independent test showed a t value of 0.457 and a p value of 0.649 (> 0.005) which indicated that there was no significant difference of anxiety levels among students who performed juvenile delinquency in both high schools. Conclusion: There was no significant difference between anxiety levels of students who performed juvenile delinquency in Swadharma Mopugad Senior High School and Swadharma Werdhi Agung Senior High School.Keywords: juvenile delinquency, anxietyAbstrak: Fenomena kenakalan remaja makin meluas dewasa ini. Hal ini tentunya dapat menimbulkan kecemasan pada siswa yang melakukannya mengingat sanksi yang bisa diperoleh akibat perbuatannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kecemasan siswa yang melakukan perilaku kenakalan remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Subyek penelitian ialah siswa kelas XI SMA Swadharma Mopugad dan siswa kelas XI SMA Swadharma Werdhi Agung dengan jumlah total 86 siswa. Data dianalisis dengan uji T Independent (α = 0,005). Hasil uji T Independent mendapatkan nilai t sebesar 0,457, p = 0,649, yang menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat kecemasan pada siswa yang melakukan kenakalan remaja di SMA Swadharma Mopugad dan SMA Swadharma Werdhi Agung. Simpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat kecemasan yang bermakna pada siswa yang melakukan kenakalan remaja di SMA Swadharma Mopugad dan SMA Swadharma Werdhi Agung.Kata kunci: kenakalan remaja, kecemasan

The occurrence of anemia in adolescents due to lack of nutrients transport and oxygen throughout body to be inhibited, in the brain this causes a decrease in the level of concentration. This decrease in concentration level is more severe if anemic sufferers have low emotional intelligence because it is increasingly difficult for adolescents to carry out a concentration of mind. The purpose of this study is to influence the incidence of anemia and emotional quotient on the level of student learning concentration of Pule 1 Senior High School Trenggalek Regency. The design of this research is correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. Data collected by questionnaire an dobservastion sheet, data analysis by ordinal regression test at α = 0.05. The results showed that there was an influence of anemia against concentration level in SMAN 1 Pule in Trenggalek Regency (p-value = 0,000), there was an emotional quotient effect against concentration level in SMAN 1 Pule in Trenggalek Regency (p-value = 0.011) and together there is an influence of the incidence of anemia and emotional quotient against concentration level in Pule 1 Senior High School, Trenggalek Regency (p-value = 0,000). Adolescents who experienced anemia will experience a decrease in the body's metabolism because one component of metabolism that is oxygen cannot be supplied smoothly so that the body's energy decreases, especially in the brain will have an impact on decreased concentration in the learning process. Relation to emotional intelligence, through good emotional intelligence, a student can manage his time well so that he is able to place the utilization of the time he has for his main task of learning. Through emotion management, EQ plays a role in supporting self-control and time management so that students who have high EQ will not be easily affected by environmental disturbances so that they can carry out the learning process with good concentration

PROFIL OF PEDAGOGIC AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS IN BANDUNG CITY. This study aims to get a profile and description of pedagogic and professional competencies of guidance and counseling teachers (counselor) in Bandung. The research used the quantitative approach with survey methods. The population of this research is 127 counselors of the senior high school in Bandung. The Instrument was the development of Permendiknas No. 27 Tahun 2008 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Counselor Competencies with ten aspects related to pedagogic and professional competencies. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive analysis techniques. The result of the research shows that the profile of counselors is in the competent category but in several aspects need some developed. The result of the research can be used as a need assessment for supervisor in understanding counselors competencies so that it can be used as a basis to provide guidance and counseling services effectively and efficiently.

This descriptive-correlational study aimed to determine the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress among three hundred twenty (320) senior high school students in selected private schools in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, Philippines when they are taken as a whole and grouped according to sex, career track, living arrangement and family monthly income. Specifically, it aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the level of depression, anxiety, and stress, and demographic profile of the senior high school students. The data were gathered through the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21). The results of the study revealed that there were significant relationships among the selected demographics, namely, between living arrangement and anxiety, and between sex and stress. Results have an implication on the practice of guidance and counseling and in mental health practice. The findings of this study provided baseline information for an enhanced guidance program.

This research aims to see how to learn geography, how students' disaster preparedness are, and how the contribution of geography learning to disaster preparedness of students in Public Senior High School in Kendari. By using quantitative approach, the data were collected through observation and questionnaires in 5 schools in Kendari which were distributed to 150 students and 10 teachers. The results of students' learning geography with several indicators are presented as follows; with learning variable, 12.5% is categorized as low, 46.5% moderate, 41% high; with preparedness variable, 25.5% is categorized as low, 49.5% medium, 25% high. There is a contribution of geography learning to disaster preparedness with the coefficient of determination R square (R2) of 39.4% while 60.6% is from other factors. Then, the influence of X on Y can be written in the form of a regression equation, namely (Y = 55.998 + 0.159 X). Based on the regression equation, it can be denied that geography learning has a positive correlation with disaster preparedness of students in Public Senior High School in Kendari

ABSTRACKThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of creativity and motivation on learning independence at Satya Wacana Christian Senior High School, Salatiga. This study used an associative method with a quantitative approach. The technique used is data collection (questionnaire). Data analysis using multiple linear regression Y = 36.706-0.143 (X1) + 0.265 (X2) based on the analysis and discussion it can be concluded that: 1) There is no influence between Creativity (X1) on Independence Learning (Y). 2) There is an influence between Motivation (X2) on Independent Learning (Y). 3.) There is an influence between Creativity (X1) and Motivation (X2) on Independence Learning (Y). This means that creativity does not contribute to learning independence while motivation contributes to increasing learning independence.Keywords : Kreativitas, Movivasi, dan Kemandirian Belajar

Abstract: The subject of specialization can help the development of abilities possessed by students. Specifically, specialization subjects can be followed according to students' talents and interests. This study aims to describe (1) the implementation of the 2013 curriculum policy in specialization learning in Senior High School 1 Ternate. (2) differences in specialization management models are applied in Senior High School 1 Ternate. And (3) constraints and solutions in the implementation of specialization learning in Senior High School 1 Ternate. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach. Sources of data and information from three curriculum subjects and nine specialization subject teachers from each of the three schools. The results showed that (1) the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in specialization learning in Senior High School 1 Ternate was by Minister of Education and Culture Regulations number 69 of 2013 and schools only make policies based on the central government and adjust teaching hours and based on specialization manuals and cross-interests from the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2016 and 2017. (2) There are some differences from specialization management models such as specialization mechanisms/procedures in each school have different stages. (3) Obstacles in the implementation of specialization learning in Senior High School 1 Ternate include (a) constraints from teachers; (b) constraints in choosing teaching methods; (c) constraints from students; (d) the constraints of using learning resources; (e) facilities and infrastructure. The solution is that the teacher chooses the right teaching method and can improve the competency of the studentsKeywords: Learning, Specialization Subjects, 2013 Curriculum Abstrak: Diberlakukan mata pelajaran peminatan dapat membantu pengembangan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Secara khusus mata pelajaran peminatan dapat diikuti sesuai bakat dan minat siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang (1) pelaksanaan kebijakan kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran peminatan di SMA Negeri Kota Ternate. (2) perbedaan model manajemen peminatan diterapkan di SMA Negeri Kota Ternate. Dan (3) kendala dan solusi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran peminatan di SMA Negeri Kota Ternate.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data dan informasi dari tiga masing-masing wakasek kurikulum dan sembilan guru mata pelajaran peminatan dari tiga masing-masing sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran peminatan di SMA Negeri Kota Ternate sudah sesuai dengan Permendikbud No. 69 Tahun 2013 dan sekolah hanya membuat kebijakan berdasarkan dari pemerintah pusat dan menyesuaikan jam mengajar serta berdasarkan buku pedoman peminatan dan lintas minat dari Kemendikbud tahun 2016 dan 2017. (2) Terdapat beberapa perbedaan dari model-model manajemen peminatan seperti mekanisme/prosedur peminatan di setiap sekolah memiliki tahapan-tahapan berbeda. (3) Kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran peminatan di SMA Negeri Kota Ternate meliputi (a) kendala dari guru; (b) kendala memilih metode mengajar; (c) kendala dari siswa; (d) kendala menggunakan sumber belajar; (e) sarana dan prasarana. AbstractThis research aimed at knowing positive relationship between family functioning with self-regulated learning of Pangudi Luhur Van Lith Muntilan Senior High School students. This research was conducted on 80 students by using random sampling technique. The method used in this research is quantitative method. Measuring instrument used for family functioning is The McMaster Model of Family Functioning with alpha cronbach’s coefficient is 0,927 and self-regulated scale with alpha cronbach’s coefficient is 0,899. From the data analysis obtained the result of coefficient correlation is 0,366 with the significance amount 0,000 (p < 0,05), so it can be concluded that there is a positive correlation between family functioning and self-regulated learning of Pangudi Luhur Van Lith Muntilan Senior High School students, so the hypothesis pruposed in this study is accepted.Keywords: Family Functioning, Self-Regulated Learning    Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan self-regulated learning pada siswa di SMA Pangudi Luhur Van Lith Muntilan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 80 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk skala keberfungsian keluarga adalah The McMaster Model of Family Functioning dengan koefisien alpha cronbach sebesar 0,927 dan alat ukur skala self-regulated learning adalah The Motivated Strategies of Learning Questionnaire dengan koefisien alpha cronbach sebesar 0,899. Dari analisis data diperoleh hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,366 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan positif signifikan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan self-regulated learning pada siswa di SMA Pangudi Luhur Van Lith Muntilan, sehingga hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima.Kata Kunci: Keberfungsian Keluarga, Self-Regulated Learning
