Using SWOT analysis to substantiate marketing strategies for balneo-tourism

Given its social, economic and environmental impact, together with its history and tradition, balneo-tourism counts among the most important forms of tourism practiced in Romania, thus being useful to constantly identify, analyse and develop ways of supporting its positive evolution on a long term. The purpose of this article is to present, along with theoretical references regarding the importance of substantiating marketing strategies in balneo-tourism marketing planning, the results of a SWOT analysis developed in order to create better-adapted marketing strategies for balneo-tourism in Romania. The SWOT analysis is based on a qualitative research, conducted among several Romanian experts directly involved in the field of balneo-tourism. Therefore, the results obtained and the conclusions drawn can be used to substantiate marketing strategies for balneo-tourism in Romania, emphasising the main strengths and opportunities, such as the various, high quality, natural resources and the positive dynamic of the tourism market, and improving or limiting the impact of the weaknesses and threats, such as the insufficient specialised human resources and the lack of financial resources. The paper presents a series of recommendations regarding the addressed matter and offers a comprehensive point of view upon relevant aspects that should be dealt with in order to support more efficiently the Romanian balneo-tourism evolution. The problem of planning of marketing activity of domestic enterprises is defined and its features are investigated. An algorithm for the process of planning marketing activities according to the results of this study is proposed. The role of costs from the point of view of pricing at marketing planning is specified. It is established that the key to the success of the enterprise in modern conditions is the planning of its marketing activities, taking into account the peculiarities of the micro and macro environment. It is important for the company to pay attention to reducing marketing risks by reducing the uncertainty of operating conditions and concentration of resources in the most promising areas. Therefore, the company tries to reduce the level of risk in both long-term and short-term, developing and implementing strategic and tactical planning measures.Considerable attention should be paid to the level of costs for production and sales. This will achieve the goals set by the company and will improve the sales of the company's products and increase its profits. It is advisable to conduct a SWOT-analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the enterprise and apply a matrix of varieties of its strategic business units. In all areas and at all levels of planning the marketing activities of the enterprise requires the preparation and streamlining of decisions about the goals, means and measures that should ensure the production and sale of products that meet existing demand and future consumer needs. With such marketing planning, this will allow the company to decide on its pricing policy in order not to lose old and attract new customers, which will achieve production efficiency and product competitiveness.

Despite victimological interest in the impacts of different types of criminal victimisation, there is little empirical work that examines the effects of sub-criminal behaviour on victims. This article begins to redress the balance by reporting the findings from a qualitative research project in England that investigated the effects of long-term anti-social behaviour victimisation. Semi-structured interviews explored victims’ accounts of the long-term anti-social behaviour they experienced and the resultant effects it had on their lives. The research uncovered that victims experience a range of mental and physical health effects as well as behavioural changes and has provided the first in-depth insight into the impact of this type of victimisation. The findings suggest the cumulative harms associated with anti-social behaviour need to be better acknowledged, understood and addressed, with greater support made available to victims.

This article investigates how some prominent and less known Albanian activists perceived their Southern Slav neighbors at the turn of the twentieth century. The research explores the way in which the spread of nationalism conditioned the positioning of Albanians and Slavs in the process of identity construction and how such identities mirrored their reciprocal political claims. Recent scholarship has often emphasized that the affirmation of national ideas led to the fragmentation of Balkan communities by turning Albanian-speaking populations and their Slavic-speaking neighbors into “others.” My analysis expands this assertion by elaborating a theoretical approach that allows us to explore the impact of nationalism on the post-1878 Balkan context from a more dynamic point of view. National discourses did not only lay the foundation for a differentiation between the Balkan communities, but were also tools for promoting joint political activism. National activists often felt it necessary to cooperate in order to deal with the challenges posed by the surrounding environment, which was common to both Albanians and Slavs. Various contingent circumstances led Albanian activists to project long-term forms of coexistence with their neighbors, and to imagine forms of political, cultural, and social synthesis with the Slavs.

This paper applies the hedonic price function approach to identify and estimate the variations in meal prices according to various characteristics of a sample of restaurants in Melbourne, Australia. The estimated hedonic price functions have important implications for restaurant marketing strategies and provide useful information to customers, and may serve to improve the efficiency in the market for restaurant dining. From the point of view of restaurant operators, the results indicate how short-term and long-term investment decisions may be made to impart particular characteristics. From the perspective of customers, the results provide information on price premia and discounts for restaurant meals according to each of the characteristics, including locations.

The long-term goal of this research is the birth of the process of drawing women's involvement in the bureaucratic decision-making process, and the gender reinforcement model in bureaucratic decision making in Bone Bolango District. The target of the research will be done by stages: 1) identify the problem of constraints faced; and 2) to formulate a model of gender reinforcement in bureaucratic decision making. The research method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques through: interview, documentation, and FGD. Further data collected will be analyzed data triangulation. The result of the research is the birth of a model of gender reinforcement in decision making bureaucracy. The impact of the study will provide answers on women's partisifasi in decision making. During this time the existence of women is very much ruled out. The presence of female figures in the public dimension brings new trends in the context of government. Women want to be treated proportionally. This tendency has implications for the inclusion of women to compete with men to become leaders.

There are so many speeches delivered by such famous people in this world. But, if we are asked to give the point of view about the impact of each speech delivered then the speech from Martin Luther King Jr. will convey the high meaning in term of rethorical speech especially the content and the context about the concepts of repetition found. The speech was on 28th of August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C in a verbal ways and its text become the secondary data to be analyzed with much focus on emphasizing phrases, words or sentences. By using the concept of rethoric perspective through repetition such as anaphora, epistrophe and epizeuzis, the researcher wants to know the values behind the repetition. That is why, the analysis is using the descriptive qualitative research on taking the secondary data that has been adapted from the video and the text of the speech itself. The conclusion especially on the ideas of repetition are that Martin Luther King Jr. tries to make sure his audiences about that 1) the repetition is something more that the meaning itself, it is above. 2) The struggle, it is something true, needs to be realized in the real life, and adds the weight of the expection to be equal and free.

This work's relevance is due to the need to improve the use of tools to stimulate the development of enterprises and the development of effective measures of government influence on the market economy. The article discusses the institutional environment's main characteristics in which enterprises of the real sector of the economy operate.Arguments showing the need for state support and development of small business, from the point of view of a key factor in the development of both the national economy and the factor of stabilization of the social sphere, are presented. The characteristic is given, and the main nuances of the impact and transformation of the institutional environment with the help of available tools are considered to achieve the effect of stable and long-term development of small and medium-sized enterprises.The article attempts to highlight the existing problems and the complex nature of the impact of instruments on enterprises' institutional environment.

This descriptive qualitative research is done based on slave and slavery problem in Indonesia in literary work. It is executed by using deconstruction technique, and it has the goals to describe: (1) The relation between colonials and colonialized people in Surapati novel and (2) The resistance of slave to the employer, and (3) The characteristics of Surapati novel in postcolonial perspective. The result of this research shows that the relation between colonials and colonialized people, it is between Dutch and Indonesian indigene is an unbalanced relation. Dutch’s domination toward indigene is shown through Dutch’s prejudices toward indigene, animal stereotyping to indigent, and skin color discrimination which is constructed by colonial. Dutch viewed themselves are more civilized than indigene because they have white skin color, otherwise indigene have black skin color, or not white. This point of view is reconstructed in their mind and attitude, so there is a stereotype that indigene is uncivilized, negligent, lazy, and like an animal (monkey). The impact of this domination (discrimination, racism, and marginalization) makes indigene perform resistance. Resistance is done by slave/indigene in form of mimicry, and mockery that mocking Dutch colonial as an effort to destroy their power. The mimicry and mockery show the hybrid attitude of slave/indigene, so the discourse that is constructed in Surapati novel is ambiguous. So that, in postcolonial perspective this novel can be said having ambiguous characteristics. In one side it constructs opponent discourse, but in another side it is hegemonies by colonial discourse.

Abstract Background Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and its related symptoms have been associated with interference in the daily life of children and adolescents with JIA including their friendships, their school attendance and sometimes their family life. The aim of the study was to describe the impact of JIA on schooling, social and family life from the point of view of children. Methods We interviewed 23 children and adolescents, diagnosed with JIA according to the classification criteria of the International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR). Results The mean age of our group was 16 years, with a sex ratio of 3. Eight percent of the children were in elementary school, 21.7% in high school and 8.7% in university. Eighty-seven per cent reported school absenteeism due to JIA (pain, being hospitalized,) with a mean of 8 missed school days. Forty-three per cent failed in their schooling at some point. Thirty percent thought it was related to the consequences of their disease. Only 47.8% found the school staff to be helpful and supportive. Seventy eight percent felt understood and supported by their family in dealing with the different aspects of JIA. Twenty-six per cent felt more spoiled than their other siblings, creating tension sometimes. Fifty two percent felt different and not accepted by their peers because of the JIA. Conclusions Children with JIA are already suffering from the physical aspect of their disease. Initiating an open discussion with them might reduce the burden these children are carrying often in silence, and improve long-term outcomes in terms of schooling, social and, family life.

COVID-19 has impacted economic and social dimensions around the globe. It triggered changes in consumer behavior requiring marketing efforts to be rethought from the sustainability point of view. The presented research is motivated by the recent article by P. Kotler discussing the new role of marketing and seeks to explore the effects of the pandemic on marketing and outline post-pandemic tendencies. The qualitative research approach was applied to interview marketing managers in Georgia to analyze the impact of the crisis on marketing management. It also reveals opportunities for marketing in post-pandemic times and sheds light on factors for marketing transformation. The research emphasizes the advantages of digital marketing and illustrates the skills marketing managers should have. The findings outline that marketing strategies should transform towards more ethical and sustainable marketing in accordance with the current changes. The paper concludes by suggesting future studies.
