The aim of the paper is to present the results of the analysis of the idiolect of the French President Emmanuel Macron in the context of political events presented in the president’s addresses to the nation. The following tasks are solved in the work: the mechanisms of the influence of his speech on the recipient are determined, the aspect of an interdisciplinary dialogue between political science and linguistics is reflected, attention is drawn to the context of the discourse of E. Macron against the backdrop of a changing world, challenges in France's domestic and foreign policy. The analysis of the idiolect of E. Macron from the point of view of the implementation of its communicative functions was also carried out. The conclusion of the article is informative for the increment of knowledge in sociolinguistics and political linguistics. The main result of the study was the conclusion that the individual style of E. Macron is distinguished by the desire for a neat, cautious, but at the same time bold attitude to the word. The specificity of his speech is manifested at all linguistic levels, namely at the phonetic level, clearly defined in terms of diction and arrangement of pauses, linking and accentuation by declaring, at the lexical level in a peculiar choice of vocabulary, in some cases outdated, uncommon words, as well as in the use of metaphors and phraseological units, at the syntactic level – in the use of complex syntactic constructions and anaphoric repetitions. This specificity draws attention to itself, it defines the president’s idiolect as a person striving to take the country's development to a new level, to take care of the nation, at the same time emphasizing his rather tough position in relation to the whole world.

The relevance of the chosen problem is determined by the lack in the scientific sources of any approach to graphic signs as a system of units of musical text, which reflects its content, and wider – serves as indicator of the individual style properties of the author of the musical work. The purpose of the article is to reveal with specific reference of certain conditions in which the communication of the composer and the performer is carried out by means of understanding the functional and semantic content of graphic signs. The choice of research methods are determined by the existing approaches to reading of the graphic signs and their role in the interpretation process. In this regard we involve the materials of the works of D. Blagoy, A. Sokol, S. Feinberg, M. Venable. Analytical observations concerning disclosure of the functional and semantic meaning of the studied phenomena became the results of the research. The conclusions propose classification of graphic signs in accordance with the purpose of their use by composer. Two groups of graphic signs are identified: slurs and dynamic signs («<» and «>»), which contain information about the structural and procedural principles of the musical text organization. The interaction of graphic signs with pitch and rhythmic ones has been discovered. In the contextual field of J. Brahms’ piano pieces, graphic signs are intended to warn interpreters against approach to the musical text from the point of view of the usual representations, limited to such considerations as the natural attraction to the reference tones or a strong proportion of tact. The logic of the musical process within a single theme or a phrase may be subject to other laws in Brahms’ musical texts, which are conditioned by the movement of the interior meaning. Thanks to graphic signs, the rhythmic structure of the theme reveals certain measure of freedom due to alternating strong and weak beats, and in the texture – certain temporary independence of voices in relation to each other. Thus, graphic signs in J. Brahms’ piano pieces are not additional, but decisive factors in many ways for understanding of the composer’s thought, which allows us to see in them some special form of manifestation of the author’s stylistic properties.

Arild Huitfeldt’s prefaces to the individual volumes of his Chronicles of Denmark (1595–1604) assume their character of political admonitions addressed to the young Christian IV. Harald Ilsøe has characterized Huitfeldt as a “secret” student of Machiavelli and has shown that the prefaces contain concealed quotations from the Discorsi sopra la prima deca di Tito Livio. An undisguised ideal figure, whom Huitfeldt likes to quote, is Philippe de Commines. Huitfeldt, in his foreword to Hans Mogensen’s Danish translation of Philippe de Commines’ Memoirs (1605), accordingly adopts as his own ideal the analytical and “realistic” approach to writing history of Philippe de Commines and Guicciardini.Huitfeldt does more than simply paraphrase Machiavelli and de Commines. In his preface to King Hans’ history (1599), Huitfeldt, proceeding from this king’s efforts to reconquer Sweden, stresses that even a just war could go wrong. His arguments are political as well as moral and draw on undeclared references to Erasmus of Rotterdam’s antiwar essay Dulce bellum inexpertis – war is beautiful for those who do not know it – which is contained in his Adagia, a collection with commentaries of Greek and Latin sayings.Erasmus’ point is that war is often started by inexperienced princes, who lack insight.Huitfeldt’s use of such formulations in a preface to a young king, who desires an expansive foreign policy, must be seen as daring.By combining Erasmus and Machiavelli, Huitfeldt emphasizes that morality and realpolitik are not opposites; avoiding the devastation of war is a form of realpolitik.Relying one-sidedly on a military solution is a sign of inexperience, dulce bellum inexpertis. This point of view was reiterated at a meeting of the war council in 1604, where Huitfeldt and his supporters opposed the king’s war plans by explaining that politics is not simply a matter of having right on one’s side: he who aims to rule must be able to dissemble and to exercise self-discipline. One must take account of reality.

The article analyzes the scientific approaches to the treatment of a professional position as a scientific phenomenon. It is noted that the conceptual-categorical dimension of the study of the problem of formation of a professional position as a scientific phenomenon lies in the plane of the characteristics of such concepts as «position» («position of the person»), «pedagogical position» («position of the teacher»), «professional position» the need for clarification regarding their interpretation. It was found out that in the reference journals, the notion of «position» is regarded as developing, a multi-dimensional education as a point of view, attitude to something that determines the nature of behavior, action; the nature of the actions caused by this attitude. It is stated that the position in psychology means the official position of a person in one or another subsystem of relations, reflects the dominant and selective attitude of a person to what is essential to it. It is noted that the formation of a position goes through its expansion, awareness and differentiation, one of the manifestations of which is gradually crystallizing professional position. It is generalized that despite the differences in the definition of this definition by different authors, the general definition is a position as a specialist’s attitude to the profession and to itself within it, which is manifested in activity, and a professional position as a person-professional quality, which is formed in the process of learning and is based on development of value-semantic relations to the pedagogical profession, determines the individual style of professional activity of the teacher.

The purpose of this article is to identify the individual-style features and genre characteristics of romantic fantasy for the academic professional guitar. The methods of the research are based by investigator on the application of a comprehensive approach, namely: evolutionary and historical methods – in the disclosure of the processes of formation and subsequent evolution of the genre under study; analytical – in the study of different genre literature, concerning the chosen problem and others. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that fantasies for F. Tarrega’s guitar is analyzed by researcher for the first time. On their example, the individual-style features of the fantasy genre are revealed by scholar. Conclusions. In the course of the work, the genre characteristics of F. Tarrega’s romantic fantasy were analyzed, and it was discovered that virtuosity comes to the forefront as a mandatory quality of fantasy, which was associated with the emergence of virtuosos of composers and performers Napoleon Costa and Francisco Tarrega. Thanks to them, the guitar falls a focus of attention of famous virtuosos who study its chamber and orchestral capabilities. Fantasies for the guitar are improved in form and thematism, using as exclusively original thematism, and borrowed. In the era of romanticism, fantasies on a borrowed topic get the most development, a prerequisite for which was the growth of a virtuoso style of performance, which undoubtedly led to revolutionary achievements in the field of expressive means. One of the main features of guitar fantasies on a borrowed topic was the superiority not of composing, but of performing means of expression: agogics, dynamics, intonation and others. Fantasies for the guitar are extremely virtuosic and require considerable performing skills. However, virtuoso techniques are only of a subordinate nature, and borrowed themes become only an impulse for creating a new artistic integrity. From the point of view of the actual musical structure, such works are characterized by a combination of the form of fantasy with the variational principle of material development.

The article aims to describe the conception of the Modern Political Labels Dictionary being developed at the Siberian Federal University. The creation of such a dictionary is relevant owing to the development of political lexicography which allows revealing the state and features of modern political language development. It is also noted that political labels remain largely unstudied despite their wide and quite long-term use in media. The authors of both the dictionary and the article believe that it can be useful not only for specialists focused on conducting linguistic examinations of conflictogenic texts, but also for those who are interested in politics. The Modern Political Labels Dictionary makers see the main purpose of its creation in characterizing modern political discourse verbal labels used as a tool of information-psychological confrontation as completely as possible. The concept of the dictionary is based on the following definition of the term “political verbal label”: it is a nominative ideologeme (word and phrase) tending to stereotypization. It is a linear negative myth used to discredit socially and politically significant objects. A political verbal label is characterized by exaggerated pejorative connotations and weakened denotative components. The dictionary being developed is explanatory and illustrative. It also includes derivations and (optional) philological commentaries. The selection of speech samples for the dictionary was mainly based on a linguo-ideological analysis following the methodology proposed by N.A. Kupina that assumes the identification of key ideologeme labels in a text and analysis of their com-patibility to reveal semantic, axiological, and aesthetic additives that reflect an author’s point of view on certain political events. The article also characterizes the dictionary structure including a theoretical introduction, dictionary entries, a glossary, and a list of abbreviations; examples of dictionary entries are provided. The words and phrases se-lected for the glossary passed verification procedure acting as Yandex, Google and Russian Language National Corpus search query to confirm their non-unity (usability): the existence of at least 3 to 5 contexts from different sources in which the selected unit is used with the same meaning was considered sufficient. It is noted in the description of a dictionary entry that it contains both mandatory (head unit; interpretation of its semantics in compliance with the principle of unification of interpretation models; speech samples from texts of various styles and genres created in post-Soviet and modern periods) and optional (commentaries on the functioning specifics of a political label: its origin, use periods, productivity and role in text; variations; synonyms and derivatives) components. It is concluded that the work on the dictionary made it possible to clarify the definition of the political labels phenomenon; identify the most common political labels, and expand the notion of their paradigmatic (synonymous, opposing) connec-tions, word-formation capabilities, functioning specifics in modern public speech; and present the meta-reactions of society to their use. The above-mentioned makes it possible to fill the current gap in the theory of political linguistics.

The article is devoted to the study of author’s individual style from the point of view of linguocultural conceptology, which combines linguocultural and cognitive approaches in order to study the features of the author's way of verbalizing socially important concepts. The material of the works of the famous Chilean writer Isabel Allende has been alkalized to illustrate lexical and semantic features of her individual style, reflecting the social and historical realities through the author's worldview. The methods of linguocultural science and cognitive conceptual linguistics have been combined in the research, helping to realize the correspondence of objective and subjective worldview in the individual author's style. The article deals with the differences between the linguistics terms "linguistic personality", "individual style" and "idiolect" and scientific approaches to their study. It is determined that the peculiarities of I. Allende's novels are the use of a considerable number of lexical units for the designation of geographical, biological and everyday realities, reflecting the specifics of the people’s life. The description of spiritual, philosophical and religious concepts through the use of expressively and value-colored vocabulary reflects deeply the peculiarities of the people's worldview. In the course of the semantic-cognitive analysis of the lexical units inherent in the writer’s works, it has been found out that the individual author’s world view does not in any way harm the reproduction of the common national and cultural people’s heritage, since the author is a carrier of a common conceptual sphere, formed in his consciousness due to the society where he/she lives. The verbalization of socially significant concepts in the writer’s novels is determined by her moral, ethical and value attitudes inherent in most members of the society.

The purpose and tasks of the work are to analyze the contemporary Ukrainian mass culture in terms of its value and humanistic components, as well as the importance of cultural studies and Ukrainian studies in educational disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview of modern youth.Analysis of research and publications. Scientists repeatedly turned to the problems of the role of spirituality in the formation of society and its culture. This problem is highlighted in the publications by O. Losev, V. Lytvyn, D. Likhachev, S. Avierintsev, M. Zakovych, I. Stepanenko and E. Kostyshyn.Experts see the main negative impact of mass culture on the quality approach, which determines mass culture through the market, because mass culture, from our point of view, is everything that is sold and used in mass demand. One of the most interesting studies on this issue was the work by the representatives of Frankfurt School M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno «Dialectics of Enlightenment» (1947), devoted to a detailed analysis of mass culture. Propaganda at all socio-cultural levels in the form is similar in both totalitarian and democratic countries. It is connected, according to the authors, with the direction of European enlightenment. The tendency to unify people is a manifestation of the influence of mass culture, from cinema to pop. Mass culture is a phenomenon whose existence is associated with commerce (accumulation in any form – this is the main feature of education), in general, the fact that it exists in this form is related to the direction of the history of civilization.Modern mass culture, with its externally attractive and easily assimilated ideas and symbols, appealing to the trends of modern fashion, becomes a standard of prestigious consumption, does not require intense reflection, allows you to relax, distract, not teach, but entertains, preaches hedonism as the main spiritual value. And as a consequence, there are socio-cultural risks: an active rejection of other people, which leads to the formation of indifference; cruelty as a character trait; increase of violent and mercenary crime; increase in the number of alcohol and drug addicts; anti-patriotism; indifference to the values of the family and as a result of social orphanhood and prostitution. Conclusions, perspectives of research. Thus, we can conclude that modern Ukrainian education is predominantly formed by the values of mass culture. Namely, according to the «Dialectic» by Horkheimer and Adorno, «semi-enlightenment becomes an objective spirit» of our modern society. It is concluded that only high-quality education can create the opposite of the onset of mass culture and the destruction of spirituality in our society. It is proved that only by realizing the importance of cultivating disciplines in the educational process and the spiritual upbringing of the nation, through educational reforms, humanitarian knowledge will gradually return to student audiences.Formation of youth occurs under the influence of social environment, culture, education and self-education. The optimal combination of these factors determines both the process of socialization itself and how successful it will be. In this context, one can see the leading role of education and upbringing. It turns out that the main task of modern education is to spread its influence on the development of spiritual culture of the individual, which eventually becomes a solid foundation for the formation of the individual. Such a subject requires both philosophical and humanitarian approaches in further integrated interdisciplinary research, since the availability of such research will provide the theoretical foundation for truly modern educational and personal development.

Punctuation plays a pivotal role in enhancing the comprehensibility of a text. It not only abolishes ambiguity from the text but also adorns the individual style of the author. This paper analyses Bacon’s essay “Envy” evaluating the aberrant use of punctuation to understand its impact on the holistic comprehension of the essay. Bacon has deviated in some punctuation marks in different situations. Most deviations occur in the use of the comma and the semicolon. The least deviations occur in the use of the period. Two explanations may be inferred from the analysis: First, what seems to be deviant in this regard was normal in his time; second, he deviates on purpose to make the long, complex sentence clear and easy for the reader.

Utopia as a concept points towards a world essentially alien to us. Utopia as a work describes this otherness and confronts us with a world whose strangeness might seem disturbing. Utopia and Europe differ in their relationship to what is other (Latin alienus) – that is, that which belongs to someone else, that which is foreign, that which is strange. These two worlds are at odds in regards to their foreign policy and way of life: Utopia aspires to self-sufficiency but remains open to whatever good may arrive from beyond its borders, while the Old World appears alienated by exteriority yet refuses to welcome any kind of otherness. This issue also plays a major part in the reception of More’s work. Book I invites the reader to distance himself from a European point of view in order to consider what is culturally strange not as logically absurd but merely as geographically remote. Utopia still makes room for some exoticism, but mostly in its paratexts, and this exoticism needs to be deciphered. All in all, Utopia may invite us to transcend the horizontal dialectics of worldly alterity in order to open our eyes to a more radical, metaphysical otherness.
