In 2012 the need for meat for consumption or industrial materials in Indonesia reached 484,000 tons and increased to 686,270 tons in 2019. The high demand for meat causes the intensity of slaughter to also increase so that the existence of slaughterhouses is very necessary. In the implementation process, RPH must pay attention to several aspects so that the quality of the meat produced is good, clean and the meat is halal. In the context of the codification of Islamic law (fatwa) in Indonesia, stunning is one of the important studies. This is evidenced by the fatwa of the MUI number 12 of 2009 concerning Halal Beef Certification Standards. This fatwa is motivated by several things, namely the practice of slaughtering animals in Islam must follow the provisions of Islamic law and in the implementation of the slaughter process many use modern equipment in line with technological developments, so that there are various models of cutting and processing that raise questions about the suitability of the implementation of slaughtering with Islamic law. The enactment of the Fatwa of the MUI number 12 of 2009 concerning Halal Slaughter Certification Standards by the Fatwa of the MUI on Mechanical Slaughter of Animals on October 18, 1976, the decision of the Coordination Meeting of the Fatwa Commission and LPPOM MUI and the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, on May 25, 2003, in Jakarta, Fatwa of the MUI Number 4 of 2003 concerning Standardization of Halal Fatwas; Results of the Decision of the Ulama Ijtimak of the Indonesian Fatwa Commission II in 2006 at the Gontor Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School on Critical Issues in Halal Auditing; The results of the Working Group Meeting of the ICU Fatwa Commission for Food, Drugs and Cosmetics and the ICU LPPOM Team on November 12, 2009. This fatwa resulted in a decision, one of which was related to stunning. Stunning to simplify the slaughtering process is legal, provided that: (1) Stunning only causes the animal to faint temporarily, does not cause death or permanent injury; (2) aims to facilitate slaughter; (3) its implementation as a form of ihsan, not animal torture

Historical evidence shows that K.H. M.A. Sahal Mahfudh is building the transformative Islamic civilization towards g a prosperous, fair, and progressive Muslim community buildings. Kiai Sahal Mahfudh encourages Muslims to be the best people able to provide profusely expediency to others. According to Kiai Sahal Mahfudh, the best people are productive people, the man who is sensitive to the needs of the environment, controlling information, having organizational competence and high creativity, so that they can create jobs and grow the economy comprehensive insight. For these ideals, the aspect of education, health, and the economy must be developed maximally. These three fields are interrelated and inseparable. Transformative Islamic civilization championed by Kiai Sahal Mahfudh is relevant to maqasidus sharia theory, that is the Islamic law which purposes to keep religion, keep the soul, keep the property, keep the mind and keep the offspring. Kiai Sahal Mahfudh struggle in improving the quality of education in boarding school and university Maslakul Huda, Islamic Mathaliul Falah Kajen in order to keep religion and reason. Economic empowerment in BPPM and BPR Artha Huda Abadi in order to keep the property. While the struggle of Kiai Sahal Mahfudh in establishing Islamic Hospital Pati in order to preserve life and heredity. This study is a qualitative research with the primary sources of Kiai Sahal Mahfudh works. The result of this study is analyzed by the theory of <em>maqasid asy-syari‘ah</em>.

Dayah accreditation is one of the efforts in ensuring the quality of pesantren education services. One of the strategies of pesantren in achieving effective accreditation results is collaborating with external parties. MPU and pesantren are organizations that have the same orientation, namely ensuring the implementation of values ​​based on Islamic law. The research method used is a qualitative diary method. Sources of informants are MPU management and several Islamic Boarding School leaders. The results showed that the MPU's role in the accreditation of the dayah included (2) advisors and policy deliberations related to the fulfillment of educational service standards as the main instrument of dayah accreditation; (2) strengthening external support through optimizing the dayah committee and strengthening organizational committees. The social implications of this research result in collaborative efforts in maintaining community stability. Through the accreditation system, it is expected to be able to improve the quality of education services held by Islamic boarding schools.

Seeing in the era of globalization that encourages the rapid development of science and technology, of course a boarding school is required to follow these developments. Edially, pondok pesantren does not only maintain its traditional way to develop the mindset, personality and future of its students. AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to reveal how the quality of education in this Islamic boarding school is, particularly related to education facilities, curriculum and strategies of education quality improve­ments. This study used the qualitative method. Findings of this study are: first, education infrastructure and facilities are relatively complete and adequate, which are supported by the atmosphere of the Islamic boarding school that is full of simplicity and modesty by habituation in implementing clean and healthy lifestyle. Second, the tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion)-based curriculum compiled by the Islamic boarding school occupies the same degree (equal) to the curriculum prepared by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, so that both tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion) studies and general studi­es have high electability, which is able to increase the quality of education and also generates interest and motivation of the people (parents) to put their children to the Islamic boarding school. Third, education in the Islamic boarding school has a strong independency because it is supported by substantial financial resources.AbstrakTujuan tulisan ini untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren ini, khususnya berkaitan dengan sarana pendidikan, kurikulum dan sterategi peningkatan mutu pendidik­an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil temuan studi ini adalah: Pertama, sarana dan fasilitas pendidikan relatif lengkap dan memadai, ini didukung oleh suasana kehidupan pondok pesan­tren yang penuh kesederhanaan dan kebersahajaan dengan pembiasaan menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Kedua, kurikulum yang berbasis tafaqquh fi-al din yang disusun oleh pondok pesantren ini menempati derajat yang sama (equal) dengan kurikulum yang disusun Kementerian Agama, sehinga baik kajian tafaqquh fi al-din maupun pelajaran umum memiliki electabilitas yang tinggi, hal ini mampu meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan sekaligus membangkitkan animo dan motivasi masyarakat (orangtua) untuk memasukkan anaknya ke pesantren ini. Ketiga, penyelenggaraan pendidikan di pon­dok pesantren ini memiliki kemandirian yang kuat, karena didukung oleh sumber dana yang besar.

This paper is a summary report on the basic questions of the biopsychosocial approach to Parkinson’s disease. It deals with cognitive, affective and psychological health issues which significantly influence the outcome of the physical rehabilitation. In spite of the unchanged cognitive status, the psychological burden of the changes in the quality of life, the obstruction, the change in the affective tone, and the shrinking ability to fulfil social roles decrease the patient’s quality of life. An interdisciplinary approach is best suited for mitigating these effects. Not only the patient but also his/her family and environment is seriously affected by the disease and its consequences. Treatment and rehabilitation options for increasing or maintaining the quality of life of the affected patients are diverse, and significantly depend on the features of the health care system. The authors believe that the following review emphasizing health psychological principles may contribute to the work of professionals working in clinical and rehabilitational fields and through them may increase the quality of life of patients and their family. The article review of ‘The Impact of Fun and Enjoyment on Adult Learning’ (Lucardie, 2014) opens doors to the kaleidoscope of fun and enjoyment amongst adult learners. The essence of this review is an informative snapshot on the critical issues of how fun and joy have impacted adult learning through a qualitative research drawing upon traditions of phenomenology. It aims to explore the affective experiences of fun and enjoyment. This article review attempts to highlight an insightful assessment of the ideas and the arguments that are being discussed by the author. The different interpretation of this concept draws out contrasting elements between learners and teachers’ beliefs. A twist to this review is a reflective stance procured to address central issues emerging in the article related to the Malaysian context. It is through the lens of the reader, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI):4R is proposed. This refers to the process of continuously improving the quality of teaching and learning of an educational programme. This review concludes with the framing of CQI:4R to illustrate reflect, revisit, realign and reconstruct processes that could possibly navigate the architectural landscape of the Malaysian Teacher Education.

The recognition and treatment of pain in nursing home residents presents challenges best addressed by a multidisciplinary approach. This approach is also recommended in the applicable Dutch guideline; however, translating guidelines into practical strategies is often difficult in nursing homes. Nevertheless, a better understanding of guideline implementation is key to improving the quality of care. Here we describe and qualitatively evaluate the implementation process of the multidisciplinary guideline ‘Recognition and treatment of chronic pain in vulnerable elderly’ in a Dutch nursing home. The researchers used interviews and document analyses to study the nursing home’s implementation of the guideline. The project team of the nursing home first filled out an implementation matrix to formulate goals based on preferred knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors for the defined target groups. Together with experts and organizations, pharmacotherapy audit meetings were organized, an expert pain team was appointed, a policy document and policy flowchart were prepared, and ‘anchor personnel’ were assigned to disseminate knowledge amongst professionals. Implementation was partially successful and resulted in a functioning pain team, a pain policy, the selection of preferred measurement instruments, and pain becoming a fixed topic during multidisciplinary meetings. Nevertheless, relatively few professionals were aware of the implementation process.

This research discusses in detail the theoretical aspect of the quality standards of banking services of traditional Islamic banks. The criterion of "Shari'ah Compliance" was added by the researcher to the importance and role of dealing with Islamic banks, the definition of this standard and its importance, how to test it for banks as well as how, without the legitimate commitment of these banks to what is classified as Islamic from the foundation, we focus on the importance of the existence of a legal commitment to any Islamic bank to achieve the quality of Islamic banking services of high quality in accordance with Islamic law and laws to achieve a high confidence in the customers who belong to him and deal with his Conspiracy.

This essay discusses an important feature of much modern Islamic writing on law, politics and morality. The feature in question is the claim that Islamic law and human nature (fiṭra) are in perfect harmony, that Islam is the “natural religion” (dīn al-fiṭra), and thus that the demands of Islamic law are easy and painless for ordinary human moral capacities. My discussion proceeds through a close reading of the Moroccan independence leader and religious scholar ʿAllāl al-Fāsī (d. 1974). I discuss the ambiguities within Fāsī’s theory and suggest that the natural religion doctrine might be better understood less as a reduction of Islamic law to “natural law” and more as an apologetic effort to defend the realism and feasibility of Islamic law. In the hands of reformers like Fāsī, this project is beset with unresolved ambiguities around the constraining quality of revealed law in practice and the moral validity of non-Islamic political and ethical systems.

To understand the implementation quality of the Tier 1 Program (Secondary 1 Curriculum) of the Project P.A.T.H.S. (Positive Adolescent Training through Holistic Social Programmes) in the full implementation phase, 100 schools were randomly selected to participate in personal and/or telephone interviews regarding the quality of the implementation process of the Tier 1 Program. In the interviews, the participants described the responses of the students to the program, the perceived benefits of the program, the perceived good aspects of the program, and the areas requiring improvement, difficulties encountered in the implementation process, and perceived attributes of the worker-support scheme (“Co-Walker Scheme”). Results showed that most workers perceived that the students had positive responses to the program and the program was beneficial to the students. They also identified several good aspects in the program, although negative comments on the program design and difficulties in the implementation process were also recorded. Roughly half of the respondents had positive comments on the “Co-Walker Scheme”. In sum, the respondents generally regarded the program as beneficial to the students and they were satisfied with the Tier 1 Program (Secondary 1 Curriculum) in the full implementation phase, although some implementation difficulties were also expressed.
