Compared to children in other cities and towns in the West Java province, adolescents aged 10–14 in Bogor have the lowest rate of vegetable and fruit intake. One primary factor that affects adolescents’ vegetable and fruit intake is parental support. This qualitative descriptive research aimed to analyse parental support for adolescents’ vegetable and fruit intake in Bogor. Fifteen parents whose child studied at a public junior high school in Bogor participated in semi-structured interviews. Findings showed that children’s vegetables and fruits consumption was lower than the Ministry of Health’s recommendation. All parents reported that they provided instrumental support for their childrento eat vegetables and fruits at each meal time and provided vegetables and fruits (cooked or bought), but most did not teach or involve their children in preparing vegetables and fruits. Most parents asked their children’s food intake and reminded them to eat more vegetables and fruits as a form of emotional support. However, they did not persuade their children when the latter refused to eat vegetable and fruit. Additionally, parents also did not provide positive feedback for their children when they showed willingness to try to eat vegetables and fruits. Parents seemed to be more lenient in controlling children’s intake of fast food, including purchasing fast foods for their children. The fi ndings suggest a need for an initiative or program that aims at increasing parental support, which necessitates intervention to improve parental support. It is recommended to conduct further research to investigate the predictors of parental support.

This research focuses on how leadership has a major role in addressing environmental issues, especially through the garbage bank program as a form of case study. Furthermore, the problems that occur in the midst of society are often rely solely on political will or political desire to solve them. The research is to know and learn Lurah's (head of village) leadership in the management of waste banks specifically. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques through structured interviews, documentation and observations. Researchers conducted an analysis using leadership theory from Yukl, where the theory discusses leadership comprehensively. Researchers only focus on five parts of the concept that are considered relevant, namely: visionary, guidance, affiliative, democratic and communicative concepts. The results of this study based on these dimensions are good enough Lurah (head of village) leadership. But there are several things that are considered able to optimize the running of the program through the role of Lurah (Head of village) leadership, namely: first, involving active knots and community leaders such as MUI, academics to support scientific aspects, and professionals in the field of practical management. <p><em>This research is a qualitative descriptive research aims to (1) describe and explain the structure of folklore of Purbalingga District, (2) to describe and explain the social care values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) describe and explain the relevance of folklore as the character buildingand teaching material in Junior High School. Data and information are collected through informants and documents. Data collection is done through observation, recording, interview, and document analysis. Research sample is determined by purposive sampling technique. Validation of data is done by triangulation. The results of this research are:</em></p><em>(1) the structure of folklore Purbalingga District, (2) social caring values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) relevance of folklore as the character building and teaching material in Junior High School.</em>

The study aims to identify kinds of high school students’ misrepresent in doing their tasks and to provide the appropriate scaffolding as a solution to help the students. This is a qualitative descriptive research. The research subject consists of three junior high school students who have different abilities in Mathematics. They were selected out of 92 students. This research studied the conceptual errors, procedural mistakes, and students’ technical mistakes in working on the problems based on the stages of Kastolan mistakes and the scaffoldings given. Furthermore, the data were collected by using the way of testing, interviewing and documenting techniques. The research data were guarantee validated with the triangulation method. The result of the research showed that there were some errors done by the students in doing the tasks. They were the conceptual errors, procedural mistakes, and technical errors. The scaffoldings given to help the students do the tasks for Level 1 (environmental provisions), Level 2 (explaining, reviewing dan restructuring), and Level 3 (developing conceptual thinking).

This endeed of  research is to describe the place of the kolintang music ensemble to accompany the singin of the flag ceremony at SMP Sw. St. Paulus Sidikalang. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this research is flag ceremony. The research focussed on the role of Kolintang music ensemble as song chanting. The data of the final research was obtained from the observations of the flag-raising activities, interview with teachers, student adan kolintang’s players in junior high school and take a documentation. Data were analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Data validity is obtained through data triangulation, observer triangulation, theory triangulation and method triangulation. The purpose of this research is to know and descriebing  kolintang music. Example, in this research is by using numbered data such as document, archieves, interview results, observation result or also by interviewing more thn one subject that is consideret to have a different point of view.The result showed that : (1) In accompaniying singing at the flag-ceremony, students used the basic notes G, C and F. (2) the tecnic to performed kolintang    were not wheeled with a kolintang played general. (3). After carrying out their duties as chanting accompaniment in the ceremony, students who performed kolintang first practice on kolintang extracurricular activities. (4) in the process of playing kolintang, each player must have a strong feeling so that the technic kolintang is harmonious. Keywords : Descriptive Study, Ensemble, Kolintang music

AbstrakPemecahan masalah merupakan suatu kemampuan yang sangat kompleks di mata siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa SMA kelas X dan respon peralihan matematika SMP ke SMA terhadap materi SPLTV. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif dengan objek penelitian siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA di Bandung Barat. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah uji soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket kemampuan matematika siswa apabila ditinjau dari peralihan SMP ke SMA terhadap materi SPLTV. Jumlah soal yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak empat dari enam butir soal yang disediakan dengan angket yang berisikan sepuluh pertanyaan, yang terdiri dari empat pertanyaan tertutup dan enam pertanyaan terbuka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 September 2018 dan 8 Oktober 2018. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa kelas X di Bandung Barat terhadap materi SPLTV tergolong tinggi, dengan persentase sebesar 79,868%. Siswa yang memiliki latar belakang pemahaman SPLDV yang baik cenderung mudah memahami SPLTV dengan baik pula. Analysis of Problem Solving Ability and Respons of Transition from Junior to Senior High School in SPLTV MaterialAbstractProblem-solving is problem-solving in the eyes of students. The purpose of this study was to study and analyze the mathematical problem solving of high school students in class X and the response of the transition of junior high school to high school to SPLTV material. This research is in the form of qualitative descriptive research with class X objects in one of the high schools in West Bandung. The instruments in this study were problem-solving questions and mathematical ability questionnaires which were reviewed from the transition of junior high school to high school to SPLTV material. The number of questions used in this study amounted to four of the six items provided with a questionnaire containing questions, which consisted of four closed questions and six open questions. This research was conducted on September 10, 2018, and October 8, 2018. The ability to solve the problems of grade X students in West Bandung on SPLTV material was high, with a contribution of 79.868%. Students who have a background in understanding SPLDV can easily consider SPLTV well too.

The purposes of this research are analyze the effectiveness of online learning strategies used during teaching and learning activities and analyze the obstacles experienced during online teaching and learning activities. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative research is a research that is descriptive and describes the object of research/events studied and using analysis. The research results were obtained through extracting data through interview, observation, and documentation. Some data will be loaded in the form of diagram to show the research results obtained. The conclusion obtained is that this research is a descriptive qualitative research which aims to describe the learning strategies at Muhammadiyah 10 Junior High School Sidoarjo in English subject during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Background: The objective of this mixed-methods study was to determine interpersonal continuity (the ongoing therapeutic relationship between patient and health care provider) experiences of family medicine residents and preceptors, and explore their perceptions of interpersonal continuity.Methods: Quantitative data on resident and preceptor encounters were extracted from the electronic medical record (EMR). Opportunities for developing interpersonal continuity were determined using the Usual Provider Continuity (UPC) Index. A qualitative descriptive research method was used for the qualitative portion. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and constant comparative analysis was used to determine emerging themes.Results: Residents were found to have low UPC rates; preceptor rates were higher. Qualitative findings showed variable experiences with interpersonal continuity not apparent from UPC rates. Both preceptors and residents expressed perception of “ownership” of patients as a significant barrier to interpersonal continuity. Conclusion: This study suggests that a perceived lack of individual “ownership” of a patient panel was a significant barrier to developing interpersonal continuity. This might conflict with current changes towards team-based health care delivery. Understanding perceptions and changing them through a multi-faceted approach including resident teaching and faculty development might help improve interpersonal continuity which are core to both family medicine curricula and current models of health care delivery.

The advancement of digital technology today has boosted opportunities for teachers to apply digital products in promoting teaching and encouraging the learning process. Knowing how students perceive the use of digital technology is playing a significant role in supporting the achievement of an accommodating learning environment for students. This study is intended to investigate the students' perception of Duolingo as an English learning medium. It belongs to qualitative descriptive research. The data were gathered from an online questionnaire and interview and then analyzed descriptively. The result demonstrates students perceived positively toward applying Duolingo Application as a tool to facilitate English language learning at Senior High school it is interesting, motivating, helpful, encourages students' confidence, and is compatible across Junior High school to University students. However, students also perceived it’s weakness, it is too colorful and words repetition.

This study elicited the experiences of nurses caring for children with life-limiting conditions and their family, within a community based intellectual disability service. A qualitative descriptive research approach was adopted where purposeful sampling recruited 10 participants. Data was collected using one to one semi-structured interviews and was subsequently analysed using qualitative thematic content analysis. The findings identified a range of complexities unique to the care of children with life-limiting conditions in the intellectual disability setting. From the findings, it is clear that this is a population of highly skilled nurses who work in a challenging and complex area of practice. Further supports are required in order to meet the practice needs and support the emotional needs of this population of nurses. In doing so, high quality practice within the area will be promoted, thereby ensuring high quality care for the children and families within the disability service.

<p>One of the objectives of learning mathematics is to develop students' understanding of mathematical concepts to be able to solve math problems. In mathematics learning, understanding concepts is very important because by understanding concepts students can learn higher order thinking skills. However, through a test at the observation stage, the researchers found that students had difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study was to see whether the application of the Numbered Heads Together method influences students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The research was conducted on 32 seventh grade students at Rantepao Christian Junior High School using qualitative descriptive research. Data sources in this study include student work results, mentor observation sheets, tests, and researcher reflection journals. The results of the study show that the application of the Numbered Heads Together method can help develop students' understanding of the mathematical concept.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Salah satu tujuan dari pembelajaran Matematika adalah mengembangkan pemahaman konsep matematik siswa untuk dapat menyelesaikan masalah Matematika. Dalam pembelajaran Matematika, memahami konsep sangat penting karena dengan memahami konsep Matematika siswa dapat mempelajari ketrampilan berpikir yang lebih tinggi. Namun, melalui test pada tahap observasi, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep Matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat dampak penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 32 siswa kelas VII di SMP Kristen Rantepao dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini antara lain: hasil pekerjaan siswa, lembar observasi mentor, tes, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together dapat membantu mengembangkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.</p>
