Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika pada materi hukum termodinamika. Populasi penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika universitas Jambi angkatan 2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling, jadi sampel penelitian ini yaitu seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika universitas Jambi dengan total 91 mahasiswa di angkatan 2017. Indikator keterampilan proses yang diamati meliputi observasi, klasifikasi, membuat hipotesis, hubungan antar variabel, merencanakan percobaan, mengukur, memperoleh dan memproses data, analisis percobaan, komunikasi, serta kesimpulan.  Data keterampilan proses diukur melalui lembar observasi, pada saat praktikan  melakukan kegiatan praktikum hukum termodinamika. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini, keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa fisika bervariasi dari kategori baik seperti observasi42,85%, klasifikasi 36,26%, mengukur 37,36%, analisis percobaan 32,96%, serta merencanakan percobaan 42,85%, kesimpulan 54,94%, membuat hipotesis 51,54%, dan hubungan antar variabel 42,85%. Selanjutnya untuk kategori tidak baik seperti komunikasi 39,56%, serta  memperoleh dan memproses data 45,05%, Hasil ini menunjukkan mahasiswa belum menguasai keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pada beberapa indikator. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya buku panduan pratikum berbasis keterampilan proses untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa melalui kegiatan praktikum.This study aims to describe the science process skills of students in physics education program on the subject matter of thermodynamic law. The population of this study is the students of physics education program at  Jambi University in 2017. The sampling technique using total sampling, so the sample of this study is all students of  physics education  program at Jambi university with a total of 91 students in 2017. The science process skills indicators observed to include observation, classification, hypothesized, relationships between variables, planning experiments, measuring, obtain and process data, experimental analysis, communication, and conclusions. Data science process skills was collected through observation sheets when the  practitioner conducts the practicum thermodynamic law. Data was  analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this study, science process skills of physics students varied from good categories such as observation 42.85%, classification 36.26%, measuring 37.36%, experimental analysis 32.96%, and planning experiments 42.85%, conclusions 54, 94%, hypothesized 51.54%, and the relationship between variables was 42.85%. Furthermore, for the bad category such as communication 39.56%, and obtaining and processing 45.05%. These results indicate that students have not mastered the students' science process skills on several indicators. Therefore, it necessary to have a science process skills based practicum guidebook to improve student science process skills through practicum activities.

This study aims to determine the description of students towards the use of ICT-based convex mirror material guidebooks. The population of this study was the students of the Jambi University physics education class program in 2018. The sampling technique used total sampling, so that the sample of this study was all physical education students at the University of Jambi with 105 students in class 2018 Indicators of observed process skills included the identification of variables, making tables data, Make a graph, Explain the relationship between variables, Obtain and process data, Analyze investigations, Make hypotheses, Identify variables by ovational, design experiments, and conduct experiments. Process skill data is measured through a basic physics practicum performance evaluation sheet, when practitioners conduct convex mirror practicum activities. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The analysis shows that the average Science Process Skills are categorized as good and very good, this shows that students have mastered the integrated Science Process Skills. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for physics study programs to conduct related studies for other practicum subjects.

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the process carried out in the physics education study program on the lens material. The process skills used in this study are the methods used, namely measurement, measurement and measurement processes which consist of table data, data, and training, conducting experiments. Total sampling technique was choosen to recruit 91 students to participate in the study. They are contracted in basic physics practicum courses. The results show that physics students have done their own lab work in the learning process that has been incorporated into the good category. The science process skills that are most mastered in concave movement practices are observations with a percentage of 51.65% and have an average of 82.76. Whereas for convex lens practices are skills and data that have good categories with a percentage of 81.32% and have an average of 73.67.

Purpose of study: This study was conducted to determine the science process skills of physics education students for refraction material on a concave lens. The questions discussed in this study are to describe the basic and integrated science process skills of Jambi University physics education students, what are the obstacles faced when the implementation of the e-module basic physics practicum II is applied, what are the solutions to the obstacles faced. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. This research was conducted in the Physics Education Laboratory of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Jambi University. The sample l in this study were 40 physics education students contracting basic physics II subjects. The sampling technique used in this study was a total sampling technique. Main findings: With the use of a Manual for Basic Physics 1 practicum in the form of e-module, it can improve students' science process skills. It can be seen from the research results, that the science process skills of physics education students at Jambi University on refraction practicum material on concave lenses Novelty/Originality of this study: With this research, students are motivated to improve science process skills so that they become more active and more familiar with the concept of learning and can improve learning outcomes. Through this research, students can become more innovative and creative teachers, and can also find out the extent of students' science process skills.

The study aims to know the relationship between science process skills (SPS) and biology learning outcomes (LO) through inquiry-based learning in the class XI MIA Senior High School of State 01 Manokwari. The correlational method was employed in this research. The population in the study was students of class XI MIA High School at Manokwari.  The samples in the study were class XI MIA 2 and XI MIA 4, with a total of 47 students. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used tests and documentation. The hypothesis test used regression and correlation tests. The results showed a contribution of SPS to the biology LO through inquiry-based learning in the class XI MIA High School of Manokwari. The relationship of LO to biology student LO was 31%. The correlation coefficient is 0.557, indicating that the SPS level to the biology student LO was medium.

This study aims to determine the relations between metacognitive to science process skills on grade VIII students MTs Negeri 3 Parigi. This research is descriptive, the approach used is a quantitative approach, manifested in the form of numbers analyzed by statistics and the results are described. The population is students of MTs Negeri 3 Parigi Academic Year 2017-2018 with a population of three classes, with a sample of 30 students. The instrument used is a metacognitive questionnaire consisting of 50 questions and an essay about science process skills 6 questions test. The result of the prerequisite test of the research result is all metacognitive indicators of normal and linear distributed and based on the regression feasibility test show that all data is feasible for regression test. The result of the regression test and test of determination to obtain a value which is not significant. Based on the results of the research analysis it can be concluded that the relationship of each metacognitive indicator to science process skills was not significant even there were metacognitive indicators that reverse direction significantly. The magnitude of the relationship of each metacognitive indicator with science process skills maximum 15.3%.

This study aims to determine the students’ science process skills towards Salt Hydrolysis material in class XI IPA of SMA Katolik Talino Ambawang before and after being given the problem-posing learning model by using Ferris wheel hydrolysis and how much it improves the skills. It is a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, of which the subjects are 12 students of XI IPA. The normality test used on the pretest and posttest results is the Shapiro-Wilk test, which results in a normal distribution, Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) greater than 0,05 with a significance pretest of 0,197 and postest of 0,547. The t-test results of the pairing sample indicate that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is less than 0.05, which is 0,000 < 0.05. It was concluded that there is a difference between the students’ science process before and after the treatment. The mean scores of the students’ skills before and after the treatment are respectively 45,69% and 82,36%, with a high category. The value of 0,68 from the N-Gain calculation showed that the problem-posing learning model using Ferris wheel hydrolysis on Salt Hydrolysis material improved the students’ skills with the medium category.

The main purpose of this study is to find out the influence of practicum-based outdoor inquiry model on science process skills. Quasi-experiment design was employed as the research method by Matching Only Post-test Control Group. The research sample was taken using a cluster sampling technique. The samples consisted of experimental class (XI MIA 1) in a total of 25 students treated with practicum-based outdoor inquiry model. The control class (XI MIA 3) consisted of 29 students treated with direct instruction model. In collecting the data, essay test was used in the form of worksheets containing the aspect of science process skills of formulating hypotheses, designing experiment, interpreting data into tables, and drawing a conclusion (inferring). The study results demonstrate that practicum-based outdoor inquiry model was effective in improving the science process skills. It was shown in p-value (significant) of 0.00. The implication of this study is the need to design a practicum-based outdoor inquiry model by noticing what skills are going to improve by means of more varied outdoor activities

This study aims: 1) to determine differences in science process skills of students with learning model inquiry training and conventional learning models, 2) to determine the difference science process skills of students who have high creativity and creativity is low, 3) to determine the interaction model of learning inquiry trainingwith creativity of the science process skills. The sampling technique conducted cluster random sampling two classes, where first class as a class experiment with the number of students 32 people applied learning model inquiry training (X-1) and the second class as a class control the number of students 32 people who applied conventional learning model ( X-2). Instruments in this study is the science process skills test and a test of creativity in the form of a description. From these results it can be concluded that: 1) science process skills of students that learned with a learning model inquiry training is better than the students that learned with conventional learning models, 2)science process skills of students with high creativity better than students with creativity is low, 3) there is interaction between inquirylearning model training and creativity in influencing the science process skills of students.

In the implementation of experimental activities, the competence that is expected to be mastered by a student is to appreciate the various concepts and principles of advanced physics by conducting various physics experiments and being able to develop creativity in designing experiments. Physics lessons are subjects related to numbers and some abstract concepts. The study aims to determine the correlation of the Initial Setting variable (X) of the Investigation-Based Group Inquiry Model to the science process skills variable (Y). Data analysis used a single linear regression correlation test using SPSS. The research sample was physics students. The data analysis technique used in this research is the statistical analysis technique of quantitative data calculations. The results of the analysis for the coefficient of determination R Square of 0.251 indicate that 25.1% of science process skills have a direct effect by the Initial Setting (X) variable of the Investigation-Based Group Inquiry Model.

Science process skills and critical thinking skills are skills and abilities that must be possessed by students. So the purpose of this study is to determine the science process skills and students' critical thinking skills in the physics learning process in terms of female gender and male gender. In addition, the purpose of this study is to see how the differences and the relationship between science process skills and students' critical thinking skills are. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental research design. The population of this study itself is the students of SMAN 6 Batanghari with a total sample of 101 people from class XII IPA1, XII IPA 2 and XII IPA 3. The sample selection technique used is total sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets and critical thinking test instruments and interest questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, Correlation hypothesis testing. The results of this study are both science process skills and students' critical thinking skills are in the good category. However, the dominant gender is women who are in the good category with a percentage of 57.6% and men in the good category with a percentage of 51.9%. Meanwhile, for students' critical thinking skills, women were in a good category with a percentage of 59.8 and men in a good category with a percentage of 47.3. There are differences in science process skills and critical thinking skills between men and women. And there is a relationship of 0.357 between science process skills and students' critical thinking skills.
