AbstractPoliteness of Speech in the Communication of Health Personnel at Daha Sejahtera Hospital. Thisresearch is a qualitative research that analyzes the politeness of speech acts doctor, nurse with patient andpatient family at Daha Sejahtera Hospital. This research also uses descriptive approach. Triangulationused are: source technique, method, researcher, and theory. The result of the research shows that (1)Behavior of speech acts in health personnel communication at Daha Sejahtera Hospital is a form ofpoliteness in the form of: maxim of wisdom, maxim of generosity, maxim of praise, maxim of humbleness,maxim of agreement and maxim of sympathy. Decent communication is believed to minimize the tensionor inconvenience of the people in the Daha Sejahtera hospitals by using spoken spoken language well andcorrectly will reduce the conflict in communicating and also strengthen the sense of good brotherhoodthat aims to make people others do something according to the speaker’s wishes. (2) Communication ofhealth personnel at RSUD Daha Sejahtera as a function of language politeness ie for action to save face,action to avoid conflict, action to respect, action to reduce burden, action to entertain, and action togive motivation. It serves as a person’s desire to be independent, free to act, and not compelled by othersthrough orders and requests, advice, advice, warnings, threats and challenges to ask for a particularaction, speakers can do or not do speech acts (with gestures).Key words: courtesy, speech, communication, health manpowerAbstrakKesantunan Tindak Tutur dalam Komunikasi Tenaga Kesehatan di Rumah Sakit Daha Sejahtera.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menganalisis kesantunan tindak tutur dokter,perawat dengan pasien dan keluarga pasien di RSUD Daha Sejahtera. Penelitian ini juga menggunakanpendekatan deskriptif. Triangulasi yang digunakan yaitu: teknik sumber, metode, peneliti, dan teori.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Wujud kesantunan tindak tutur dalam komunikasi tenagakesehatan di Rumah Sakit Daha sejahtera merupakan wujud kesantunan dalam wujud: maksim kearifan,maksim kedermawanan, maksim pujian, maksim kerendahatian, maksim kesepakatan dan maksimsimpati. Komunikasi yang santun diyakini akan memperkecil ketegangan atau ketidaknyamanan orangorang(pasien) tersebut dalam ruang inap di RSUD Daha Sejahtera dengan penggunaan bahasa tutursecara lisan yang baik dan benar akan mengurangi konflik dalam berkomunikasi dan juga menguatkanrasa persaudaraan yang baik yang bertujuan untuk membuat orang lain melakukan sesuatu sesuaidengan keinginan penutur. (2) Komunikasi tenaga kesehatan di RSUD Daha Sejahtera yang sebagai222fungsi kesantunan berbahasa, yakni untuk tindakan untuk menyelamatkan muka, tindakan untukmenghindari konflik, tindakan untuk menghormati, tindakan untuk mengurangi beban, tindakan untukmenghibur, dan tindakan untuk memberi motivasi. Hal ini berfungsi sebagai keinginan seseorang untukmandiri, bebas bertindak, dan tidak dipaksa oleh orang lain melalui perintah dan permintaan, saran,nasihat, peringatan, ancaman, dan tantangan untuk meminta melakukan suatu tindakan tertentu,penutur dapat melakukan atau tidak melakukan tindak tutur (dengan gerak-gerik).Kata-kata kunci: kesantunan, tindak tutur, komunikasi, tenaga kesehatan

This study aims to describe the  forms of expressive speech act uttered by adults in TPI in Pesisir Selatan Regency, Sumatera Barat. This  is a descriptive qualitative research. The data are any  utterances which contain expressive speech acts of adult in TPI Pesisir Selatan.  The analysis is done by using speech acts theory proposed by Searle. Data source of this research is Adult in TPI. In this research, the researcher used observational method because the data are in the form of spoken language that obtained in a Adult in TPI. Thus this research used notetaking technique in collecting expressive speech act. The research findings show that there are ten kinds of expressive speech act in adults in TPI, namely apology, thanks, sympathy, attitudes, expressing greeting, wishing, expressing joy, expressing pain, expressing like, and expressing dislikes.

Aceh as a special autonomous region according to the mandate contained in the Aceh Government Law (UUPA) No. 11 of 2006 which gives authority to Aceh,one of which can form a local party and regional regulations (qanun) themselves. The specificity of Aceh is the result of reconciliation between the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the Indonesian Government in an effort to resolve endless conflicts. After a conflict resolution effort is realized, to supervise and participate in carrying out the cousre of the UUPA the GAM ex-combatants are now participating in politics which is a better alternative in seeking justice and the rights of the people of Aceh. Therefore, this study aims to find out how much the influence of former GAM combatants on politics in Aceh and the indicators used to enter the political system in Aceh, especially in the districts of West Aceh and Nagan Raya. The methodology used in this study is the qualitative research methodology, with the descriptive approach expected in this study the results found are, in the form of conclusions and suggestions that can build both for former GAM combatants and for the community in their involvement in political implementation in Aceh. Keyword: Influence, Combatants, Aceh

Cultivating the values of tolerance towards adolescents, especially through the celebration of Islamic and Christian holidays together, is one of the dominant factors in preserving the culture of tolerance among the people of Salatiga City. This type of naturalistic qualitative research, using a critical analytical descriptive approach, makes the people of Pengilon Village as its material objects. This research found that the celebration of Islamic and Christian holidays in Pengilon turned out to have a different function compared to other regions. Apart from functioning as a religious ritual, the Christmas and Halal-Bihalal Celebration "together" also means a medium for tolerance education for children and adolescents in Salatiga City.

This article discusses the political participation of ulama in the Simultaneous Local Election in Polewali Mandar Regency. In the political tradition in Polewali Mandar, the main religious figure of Ulama is the central concern of the people in that place. This is because the Ulama become a figure who is heard and followed by their words and choices, so that every candidate for regent and deputy regent who will participate in the elections will first make a political visit to the charismatic Ulama in Polewali Mandar. This type of research used in this study is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. An interesting thing that was obtained in the condition of Simultaneous Local Election in Polewali Mandar was the Political Participation of Ulama Voters' in the regional head election in Wonomulyo Subdistrict, Polewali Mandar Regency. Active participation, scholars are actively involved in determining the district head election process, because the election of the district head is an important issue that is in the interests of the general public, and scholars are considered an example of a true leader voter, and scholars are considered by the community as mediators in the event of a conflict of interest between supporters

This study aims to inventory various forms of Karo ethnic local wisdom in the use of various types of local plants, medical processing, food, cosmetics, rituals, and boards. Another goal is to analyze the potential of micro and macroeconomic elements in the marketing of processed plants. The cornerstone of thinking in this study is the concept of ethnobotany, ethnoecology, and local wisdom. This study uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, document studies, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that there were at least 218 local Karo ethnic plants that grew and were known to be Karo ethnicity and their usefulness. Local plants for medical are 183 species, for culinary ingredients a total of 53 types, for cosmetics a total of 32 types, for magical number of 27 types, and for the cancellation of households (boards) of 7 types. Local plants / plants that function ethnobotany are those that have multiple functions, so that the total number of plants can exceed the number of local plants / plants used by the people. As for some of the Karo Ethnic local knowledge related to its processing, it was produced in the form of making karo oil, yellow/param, injecting betel nut, enough, spraying beltek, my erpangir rituals and others

The aim of this paper is to identify and document some functions and contextsof traditional pottery within northern Ghana. The descriptive approach of the qualitative research methodology was employed. Interview and observation methods were employed as the data collection methods. They were used to ascertain reasons why some potteryare engaged in certain contexts andfor certainfunctions. The data was tabulated to include the traditional name of the pot, the function and the context. The data were then analyzed and the indications were that, the potters make interesting forms of traditional pottery for different purposes; and the local name given to each pot perfectly defines their functions and contexts within northern Ghana. On the flipside of the coin, the function and context of every pot can also be dictated by its end user. Base on this, the researchers were able to discover some functions and contexts of the indigenous pottery which were put into some groups. On the first hand, the researchers classified the functions into five groups of purpose. These included: domestic purposes, religious purposes, agricultural purposes, rites of passage purposes and traditional herbal medicinal purposes. On other hand, seven groups of contexts were also discovered at the time of the study. These included: courtyards, bedrooms, bathrooms, graveyards, kitchens, shrines, and hencoops as places where these pots can be found among the people of the Northern Ghana.

The role of women in Minangkabau plays a strategic place in fostering people, including in younger generation in "tahfiz’s house" activities. Problem that usually arises is the authority of women in doing activities outside, especially in the Nagari Tanjung Barulak. The women in Nagari Tanjung Barulak are not only active at home as Limpapeh Rumah Gadang who act as mothers for the children but also as "mothers" for children in Nagari. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The techniques of Data collection are interviews, observation and documentation. The result of research shows that women has vital roles in stir Tahfiz's house in Nagari Tanjuang Barulak, Batipuh District. It means there was no contradiction in fostering people in terms of religion. In terms of Minangkabau customs, the role of women also has its own place, and can play a role in two functions, namely the function as mother or Bundo Kanduang in the community and family as well as Bundo Kanduang in the midst of the people.

This research explain about how to apprehends multicultural value’s in Islamic Boarding School Datok Sulaiman Palopo. The main problem’s in this thesis are, how teacher’s apprehension about multicultural educations and what theirs effort to applicate this values in learning process of boarding area beyond formal and non formal studies. This research, writer used qualitative descriptive approach, namely Library Research and Field researches. Subject in this research were principal, teacher, student’s. collecting data was used are observation, interview, and documentation. The investigation of data used cross check technique and descriptive analysis.The result of this research, shows some of important conclusion’s, in the education field, Islamic boarding school Datok Sulaiman Palopo was difficult saw that this institution is modern. The system are combination between traditionally and modern. The people of Pesantren seem take foundation al-muhafadhotu ‘ala qadimi al-salih wa al-akhdu bi jadidi al-aslah (The maintain old something that is considered have good value’s and take a new something for kindness) as standing on. Therefore, bandongan and sorogan learning models as a traditionally system can be apply with classical system as modern characteristic. In thinking, in fact- principle, teacher in the learning processes formal and non formal have appreheanded and practice multicultural value’s in boarding area. Nyai (the Javanese term for concubine) is one of the themes that is widely discussed in the realm of Indonesian literature starting from peranakan Chinese literature, literature during the colonial period, as well as modern Indonesian literature; both written by native writers and non-indigenous writers (Indonesians and peranakan Chinese). Based on these phenomena, this study will discuss the image of Nyai in literary works with a descriptive qualitative research method. The object materials of this research are the novels Nyai Wonokromo by Mayon Sutrisno, Tjerita Njai Isah by Ferdinand Wiggers, and Boenga Roos dari Tjikembang by Kwee Tek Hoay. In Nyai Wonokromo and Tjerita Njai Isah, the characters of Nyai presented in both novels are fool-blooded Dutch Nyai, while the novel Boenga Roos dari Tjikembang presents a Chinese Nyai. This study will compare the representation of Nyai as belonging to the Dutch and that of the Chinese, as well as comparing the images of Nyai written by indigenous writers and non-indigenous writers. The discussion of nyai includes the position of nyai in the social construction of society and its relationship with the people around it. The aim of this paper was to identify some concepts of indigenous pottery within the three northern regions of Ghana. As a result, emphasis was given to the identification of some concepts of indigenous pottery in northern Ghana. The descriptive approach of the qualitative research methodology was used. Interview and observation methods were employed as the data collection processes to ascertain reasons why they engage in pottery decoration and the concepts behind them. The data was subjected to comparative analyses and the indications were that, the people of northern Ghana make interesting forms of decorative techniques which comes with an authentic concepts. The study revealed that, there are eight identified indigenous pottery decorative techniques which included; incision, impression, stainning, blasting, smooking, perfforation, macrame and modeling. With these techniques the researchers realised that there are some basic concepts behind each and every decorative techniques found on the indigenous pottery. These included; convertions of red ferric ironoxide to black ferric ironoxide, reduction of friction, restriction purposes and movement and handling purposes.
