O artigo parte da consideração de que a história da humanidade carrega a marca da violência e de que o debate educacional carece de significado perante a violência. Fundamenta-se nas considerações de alguns autores da Teoria Crítica a fim de buscar a compreensão da exigência de meta educacional: que Auschwitz não se repita, proposta pelo pensador Theodor Adorno, que discute o percurso histórico da civilização em seu movimento contraditório de continuidade e ruptura, apontando que o progresso foi objetivamente tomado como parte de um processo social regressivo. Assim, defende que o trabalho de investigação da experiência formativa na primeira infância desponta como possibilidade de resistência ante à dominação. Conclui, com base no referencial teórico adotado, que por meio da educação e do esclarecimento numa perspectiva crítica produzir-se-ia uma educação contra a frieza, que carregue em si os germes de um projeto de emancipação humana.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Violência; perspectiva crítica; formação.     ABSTRACT The article starts from the consideration that the history of humanity bears the mark of violence and that the educational debate lacks meaning in the face of violence. It is based on the considerations of some authors of the Critical Theory in order to seek the understanding of the requirement of an educational goal: that Auschwitz is not repeated, proposed by the thinker Theodor Adorno, who discusses the historical course of civilization in its contradictory movement of continuity and rupture , pointing out that progress has been objectively taken as part of a regressive social process. Thus, he argues that the research work of formative experience in early childhood emerges as a possibility of resistance to domination. It concludes, based on the theoretical framework adopted, that through education and enlightenment in a critical perspective an education against coldness would be carried out, carrying the germs of a project of human emancipation.   KEYWORDS: Violence; critical perspective; formation.     RESUMEN El artículo parte de la consideración de que la historia de la humanidad lleva la marca de la violencia y de que el debate educativo carece de significado ante la violencia. Este trabajo investigativo tiene como objetivo determinar las etapas en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del inglés para las carreras de corte técnico en la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí, Ecuador. Para ello, se basa en el análisis histórico del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje del inglés, y se analiza y sintetiza actividades en diferentes momentos evolutivos para caracterizar el tratamiento que se le ha brindado a la expresión oral. El mismo se ha dividido en tres períodos a partir de los indicadores establecidos hasta llegar a la tercera etapa comunicativa,  con  los  adelantos  tecnológicos  como  laboratorios  de  idiomas,  pantallas gigantes y proyectores, que modificaron la forma de enseñar y aprender   el inglés en la Universidad y que continúan desarrollando la expresión oral en inglés. Palabras Clave: aprendizaje del inglés, expresión oral, enfoque comunicativo The history of the English teaching and learning process in technical majors in  “Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí, Ecuador”   Abstract This research work aims at determining the stages of teaching and learning English for majors with technical functions in “Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí, Ecuador”. It is essentially based on the method of historical analysis, but the activities in the different evolutionary stages are analyzed and synthesized as well to characterize the treatment given to speaking. It has been divided into three periods taking into account the different aspects considered for the analysis up to the present third stage, the communicative stage, and 7 in which interaction has been communicative and the method was finally replaced by the communicative approach with technological improvements as labs, giant screens and projectors. These modifications have changed the way of teaching and learning English at the University and the way speaking in English is developed. This article describes that cosmopolitanism reflects the nature of capital, striving towards where the best conditions are created for it and it is possible to obtain the greatest benefit. In the history of industrially developed countries, a complex interaction of cosmopolitanism with the idea of a nation-state is traced. The elements of cosmopolitanism were also present in communist ideology. It is in the context of cosmopolitanism that his basic thesis of building a classless and stateless society on a global scale can be interpreted. In the USSR, where during the first decade of Soviet power the expectation of a world revolution was replaced by the predominance of political principles in politics, the concept of cosmopolitanism acquired a persistently negative meaning and was perceived as a bourgeois ideology. After World War II, the state periodically campaigned to combat "rootless cosmopolitanism" and adultery in the face of Western scientific and cultural achievements. Furthermore, we can point out that a different interpretation of cosmopolitanism has led to frictions of various kinds. In essence, it should have been one of the most important factors in solving world problems. In this research work, special attention is paid to the notion of cosmopolitanism in the context of the current situation in the world. An important problem is the place of the human being in the world as a matter of philosophy or the place of the human being in the system of state politics as a matter of political science.

The preservation of a large and complex museum vessel is often demanding work in building good practices and beneficial networks among specialists, supporters, and the community. The grain elevator “Stadsgraanzuiger 19” that can be visited either at Maritime Museum Rotterdam or Museum aan de Stroom in Antwerp is a case in point. It’s story exemplifies that challenges in museum collections and research work to permanently preserve such a spectacular and massive machine. In this article Richard Velthuizen revisits the history of grain elevators, the socio-technical change at Rotterdam port, and the preservation and cultural heritage efforts in saving this historic elevator. He also unentangles the social process with which the large, floating machine has been preserved.

Este documento presenta el proceso y los resultados de la investigación “Comportamiento de los familiares de los usuarios menores de 5 años con patologías diferentes ingresados en el servicio de Pediatría del Hospital Verdi Cevallos Balda”. Es importante mencionar que la psicología, desde los diferentes ámbitos de aplicación, ha establecido la necesidad de identificarlos factores que protegen o vulneran a la persona frente a condiciones críticas. El objetivo de este trabajo investigativo planteó identificar el comportamiento de los familiares de los usuarios ingresados en el servicio hospitalario. Los métodos utilizados fueron: estudio descriptivo, con análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo de los datos. La población de estudio constituyo 35 familiares de los usuarios, se aplicó encuestas estructuradas. La aparición de una enfermedad aguda, crónica o terminal en alguno de los miembros de la familia representa un serio problema tanto en su estructura como en su comportamiento. Los cuidadores obtuvieron valores en Ansiedad, Tristeza y Estrés; mientras las madres puntuaron un nivel más alto de tristeza que los demás cuidadores. Cuando los niveles de Ansiedad materna son elevados también lo son los paternos de ansiedad y depresión. Conocer los comportamiento de cada miembro del grupo familiar para afrontar el proceso de enfermedad y los tratamientos, permite adecuar las intervenciones que faciliten la adaptación a la situación adversa por la que atraviesan. Estos resultados obtenidos conducen al planteamiento de la propuesta de intervención con la familia de los usuarios menores de 5 años ingresado con patologías diferentes en el servicio de pediatría del Hospital Verdi Cevallos Balda. BEHAVIOR OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF CHILDREN UNDER FIVE YEARS INCOME IN THE PEDIATRIC SERVICE OF THE VERDI CEVALLOS BALDA HOSPITAL FROM MANABÍ ABSTRACT This document presents the process and the results of the research "Behavior of the relatives of users under 5 years old with different pathologies admitted to the pediatric service of the Verdi Cevallos Balda Hospital". It is important to mention that psychology, from different areas of application, has established the need to identify factors that protect or harm the person in the face of critical conditions. The objective of this research work was to identify the behavior of family members of users admitted to the hospital service. The methods used were: descriptive study, with qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data. The study population constituted 35 family members of the users, structured surveys were applied. The appearance of an acute, chronic or terminal illness in one of the members of the family represents a serious problem both in its structure and in its behavior. The caregivers obtained values ​​in Anxiety, Sadness and Stress; while mothers scored a higher level of sadness than other caregivers. When the levels of maternal anxiety are high, so are the paternal anxiety and depression. Knowing the behavior of each member of the family group to deal with the disease process and treatments, allows adapting interventions that facilitate adaptation to the adverse situation they are going through. These results lead to the proposal of intervention proposal with the family of users under 5 years admitted to the pediatric service of the Verdi Cevallos Balda Hospital. This article begins by outlining contemporary anti-work politics, which form the basis of Sandford’s reading. After providing a brief history of anti-work politics, Sandford examines recent scholarly treatments of Jesus’ relationship to work. An examination of a number of texts across the gospel traditions leads Sandford to argue that Jesus can be read as a ‘luxury communist’ whose behaviour flies in the face of the Protestant work ethic. Ultimately, Sandford foregrounds those texts in which Jesus discourages his followers from working, and undermines work as an ‘end in itself’, contextualising these statements in relation to other gospel texts about asceticism and the redistribution of wealth.

Chatbot has emerged as a significant resolution to the swiftly growing customer caredemands in recent times. Chatbot has emerged as one of the biggest technological disruption. Simply speaking, it is a software agent facilitating interaction between computers and humans in natural language. So basically, it is a simulated, intellectual dialogue agent functional in a range of consumer engagement circumstances. It is the easiest and simplest means enable interaction between the retailers and the customers. </p><p> • Purpose- Most of the research work done in this field is concerned with their technical aspects. The recent research on chatbot pay little attention to the impact it is creating on users’ experience. Through this work, author is making an effort to know the customer-oriented impact that the chatbot bear on the shoppers. The purpose of this study is to develop and empirically test a framework that identify the customer oriented attributes of chatbot and impact of these attributes on customers. </p><p> • Objectives- The study intends to bridge the gap between concepts and actual attributes and applications on the subject of Chatbot. The following research objectives can address the various aspects of Chatbot affecting the different characteristics of consumers shopping behaviors: a) Identify the various attributes of chatbot that bears an impression on consumer shopping behavior. b) Evaluate the impact of chatbot on consumer shopping behavior that leads to the development of chatbot usage and adoption among the customer. </p><p> • Design/Methodology/Approach – For the purpose of analysis, author has administered Factor analysis and Multiple regression using SPSS version 23 for identification of various attributes of Chatbot and knowing their impact on shoppers. A self-administered questionnaire from the review of literature is developed. Industry experts in the field of retailing and academician evaluate the questionnaire. Primary information from the respondents is gathered using this questionnaire. The questionnaire comprises of Likert scale on a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 stands for strongly disagree and 5 stands for strongly agree. Data is collected from 126 respondents, out of which 111 respondents were finally considered for study and analysis purpose. </p><p> • Findings – The empirical results show that the study identifies various attributes of chatbot like Trust, Usefulness, Satisfaction, Readiness to Use and Accessibility. It is also found that chatbot is really influencing the customers in providing them with shopping experience, which can be very helpful to the businesses for increasing the sales and creating repurchase intention among the customers. </p><p> • Originality/value – The recent research on chatbot pay little attention to the impact it is creating on customers who are actually interacting with it on regular basis. The research paper extends information for understanding and appreciating the customer oriented attributes of artificially intelligent Chatbot. In this regard, the author has developed a model framework and proposed the attributes identified. Through the work, author is also making an effort to test empirically the impact of the identified attributes on the shoppers.

Modernist literature is inextricable from the history of obscenity. The trials of such figures as James Joyce, D. H. Lawrence, and Radclyffe Hall loom large in accounts of twentieth-century literature. Filthy Material: Modernism and the Media of Obscenity reveals the ways that debates about obscenity and literature were shaped by changes in the history of media. The emergence of film, photography, and new printing technologies shaped how “literary value” was understood, altering how obscenity was defined and which texts were considered obscene. Filthy Material rereads the history of modernist obscenity to discover the role played by technological media in debates about obscenity. The shift from the intense censorship of the early twentieth century to the effective “end of obscenity” for literature at the middle of the century was not simply a product of cultural liberalization but also of a changing media ecology. Filthy Material brings together media theory and archival research to offer a fresh account of modernist obscenity with novel readings of works of modernist literature. It sheds new light on figures at the center of modernism’s obscenity trials (such as Joyce and Lawrence), demonstrates the relevance of the discourse of obscenity to understanding figures not typically associated with obscenity debates (such as T. S. Eliot and Wyndham Lewis), and introduces new figures to our account of modernism (such as Norah James and Jack Kahane). It reveals how modernist obscenity reflected a contest over the literary in the face of new media technologies.
