This article presents the result of the research on the articulation between indicators, cultural policies, public communication, and the allocation of resources carried out by the municipal public administrations in Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). In the study, the vision of a propositive science is associated with technological resources that create algorithms and model applications with different functionalities. An algorithm associated with a software was developed: Elum. Therefore, it is reported the research trajectory – in which the accessed data were treated (as indicators) and communicated (as public communication) – in intention to generate a cognitive equivalence between those who have them and those who have a potential interest in understanding them.

ResumoEste artigo apresenta uma análise do cenário emergido com a efetivação da Política de Educação Museal (PNEM), temática principal, e a participação das Redes de Educadores em Museus, vivenciadas pelos sujeitos da dinâmica educacional em instituições culturais desde a sua concepção. Relata a participação da Rede de Educadores em Museus do Rio Grande do Sul (REM-RS), na elaboração compartilhada do Programa de Educação Museal, no período de 2012 a 2017. Tem o objetivo de evidenciar tensões experimentadas pelo museu, a escola e por seus agentes nas atividades do setor educacional museológico. Sugere que as ações empreendidas para fomentar a incorporação da PNEM às instituições museológicas sejam efetivadas de forma articulada e com indispensável reconfiguração de acordo com os princípios e diretrizes da política pública voltada aos museus brasileiros, enquanto referencial para o setor. Destaca a Carta de Petrópolis, a Carta de Belém e a Carta de Porto Alegre documentos que demonstram a participação e as discussões, presenciais e em rede, geradas pelos profissionais efetivamente envolvidos nos processos de construção que resultaram na referida política.  Conclui com relatos de experiências e atividades na formação docente no espaço museológico como forma de adequar o trabalho educacional em museus ao PNEM.Palavras-chave: Educação Museal. Formação docente. NATIONAL POLICY OF MUSEAL EDUCATION - PNEM:Museums, Education and Networks  Abstract               This article presents an analysis of the emerged scenario with the implementation of the Museum Education Policy (PNEM), the main theme, and the participation of the Educator Networks in Museums, experienced by the subjects of the educational dynamics in cultural institutions from their conception. It reports on the participation of the Network of Educators in Museums of Rio Grande do Sul (REM-RS), in the shared elaboration of the Museum Education Program, from 2012 to 2017. Its objective is to tensions experienced by the museum, the school and its agents in the activities of the museum educational sector. It suggests that the actions undertaken to promote the incorporation of PNEM to museological institutions should be carried out in an articulated manner and with an indispensable reconfiguration in accordance with the principles and guidelines of the public policy focused on Brazilian museums, as a reference for the sector. The Petrópolis Charter, the Belém Charter and the Porto Alegre Charter emphasize the documents that demonstrate the participation and the discussions, both in person and in a network, generated by the professionals effectively involved in the construction processes that resulted in this policy. Concludes with reports of experiences and activities in teacher training in the museum space as a way to adapt the educational work in museums to the PNEM. Key words: Museum Education. Networks. The main purpose of this is paper is to presents the Theil-T index based on the laws of physics and Shannon´s modern mathematical theory of communication to measure income inequality. This index enables to use stratum data by income besides to estimating the inequality intra stratum. The methodology will be  illustrated with an  application to measure the inequality   in the formal labor market in  Santa Maria city in  Rio Grande do Sul, using  social characteristics  as gender, age and education level  and,  attributes of the own market like  sphere of activity and economic activity  from 2000 to 2009. Although the ex-inequality index calculated using the characteristics above mentioned is classified as medium low according to the PNUD classification, the index  emphasizes the importance of assessing the distribution of income considering the local conditions of each micro region  in order to direct the public politics  to correct the most influential determinants of disparities.

Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma investigação de natureza qualitativa realizada em aulas de educação física em escolas públicas da cidade de Porto Alegre—RS. O propósito do estudo foi examinar a relação entre a produção de conhecimento e 3 prática profissional de futuros professores de educação física. A pesquisa enfocou o ensino de um elemento específico da cultura física brasileira (futebol) a estudantes de 5a a 8a série, durante o período de um semestre acadêmico, por 11 estudantes em fase de conclusão de curso, da Escola de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Rio Grande do Sul.  This work presents the results of a qualitative investigation carried out in physical education classes in the public schools of the city of Porto Alegre -RS. The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between the production of knowledge in physical education and the professional practice of future physical education teachers. The research focused on the teaching of a specific element of the Brazilian physical culture (soccer) to students of 5th to 8th grades during a period of an academic term by 11 final year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Physical Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.

A presente pesquisa é um relato de experiência com estudantes da educação básica, que são inseridos em um processo de pesquisa para conhecer melhor a histórica de Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul, com o objetivo também de se aproximar de uma universidade pública, diminuindo os caminhos entre escola e universidade. O trabalho envolve fotografias que servem como o fio condutor para se compreender conceitos como Lugar, Paisagem, Espaço Geográfico, Natureza e Cultura, além de nuances do processo de pesquisa como regras da ABNT, métodos científicos e tipos de fontes de pesquisa.

OBJECTIVE: We analyze the socio-demographic profile of the dentistry graduates at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, 2010-2011, the reasons which led them to choose Dentistry, appreciation for the course, as well as job prospects and Graduate studies. METHODS: Cross-sectional, observational study Dentistry graduates, classes of 2010-2/ 2011-1 (n=76, 90.5% response rate). Data collection took place through the giving of a structured and anonymous pre-tested questionnaire. Results were grouped in tables and graphs by means of the distribution of the frequency of variables studied (descriptive analysis), with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows 17.0. This Study was approved by the Committee on Ethics in Research of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (18249). RESULTS: The classes of 2010-2/ 2011-1 Dentistry Graduates of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, were, in their majority, women, young, single, childless, natives of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, with a monthly salary income of 10 to 20 minimum salaries and without the presence of dentists in the family. More than 90% of these students were satisfied with the choice of Dentistry. They opted for the course especially due to personal as well as professional success, followed by security and peace of mind and financial comfort. The great part of the students evaluated the course as good or excellent. They intend, as a majority, to work in the public service as well as private practice and graduate work, particularly, specialization. CONCLUSION: Results identified the profile of the classes of 2010-2/ 2011-1 Dentistry graduate of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, classes of 2010-2/2011-1. It has been recommended that there be a permanent follow up of the graduates as an important instrument for monitoring the students as well as the development of the current integrated curriculum.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE This study aims to verify the adequacy profile of the cities of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in relation to the purchase of products of family farming by the Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE - National Program of School Meals). METHODS This is a quantitative descriptive study, with secondary data analysis (public calls-to-bid). The sample consisted of approximately 10% (n = 52) of the cities in the State, establishing a representation by mesoregion and size of the population. We have assessed the percentage of food purchased from family farming, as well as the type of product, requirements of frequency, delivery points, and presence of prices in 114 notices of public calls-to-bid, in 2013. RESULTS Of the cities analyzed, 71.2% (n = 37) reached 30% of food purchased from family farming. Most public calls-to-bid demanded both products of plant (90.4%; n = 103) and animal origin (79.8%; n = 91). Regarding the degree of processing, fresh products appeared in 92.1% (n = 105) of the public calls-to-bid. In relation to the delivery of products, centralized (49.1%; n = 56) and weekly deliveries (47.4%; n = 54) were the most described. Only 60% (n = 68) of the public calls-to-bid contained the price of products. CONCLUSIONS Most of the cities analyzed have fulfilled what is determined by the legislation of the PNAE. We have found in the public calls-to-bid a wide variety of food, both of plant and animal origin, and most of it is fresh. In relation to the delivery of the products, the centralized and weekly options prevailed.

ResumoA educação feminina no Rio Grande do Sul foi marcada pela influência do discurso positivista republicano, que reforçou a mentalidade conservadora, cujo objetivo era tirar a mulher do campo profissional e científico. Esse discurso é bastante difundido nas manifestações culturais e na arte cemiterial, no qual a finalidade maior era consolidar junto ao imaginário popular o símbolo da perfeição feminina, inspirado em Clotilde de Vaux, personificação da Religião da Humanidade. RESUMOObjetivo: averiguar, junto aos docentes e acadêmicos dos cursos de Enfermagem de Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES), a inserção do ensino da segurança do paciente na formação acadêmica do enfermeiro e verificar como este é desenvolvido no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Método: trata-se de estudo descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado na região sul do Rio Grande do Sul/Brasil. Coletaram-se os dados por meio de entrevistas semiestruturada, escrita/digital e assistida/dialogada, com vinte participantes, sendo dois docentes e dois acadêmicos de cada uma das cinco instituições selecionadas. Analisaram-se os dados utilizando-se a Análise de Conteúdo, na modalidade Análise Temática. Resultados: evidenciou-se que o tema é abordado, no decorrer do curso de Enfermagem, em diversas disciplinas, mas não existe a oferta de alguma específica. Ressalta-se que alguns dados sinalizam que a segurança do paciente é tratada como tema transversal. Conclusão: conclui-se que a oferta das disciplinas do ensino da segurança do paciente e seu desenvolvimento não contemplam os conteúdos de forma estruturada, objetiva, abrangente e normatizada, em conformidade com as políticas públicas preconizadas pelo Programa Nacional de Segurança do Paciente. ABSTRACT Objective: to investigate the insertion of the teaching of patient safety into the nurse's academic education and to verify how it is developed in the teaching-learning process, together with the teachers and academics of Nursing Courses at Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Method: this is a descriptive and exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, carried out in the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul / Brazil. The data was collected through semi-structured, written/digital and assisted/dialog interviews, with twenty participants, two teachers and two academics from each of the five institutions selected. Data were analyzed using Content Analysis, in the Thematic Analysis modality. Results: it was evidenced that the topic is approached, during the course of Nursing, in several disciplines, but there is no specific offer. It should be noted that some data indicate that patient safety is treated as a cross-cutting theme. Conclusion: it is concluded that the offer of the subjects of teaching of patient safety and its development do not contemplate the contents in a structured, objective, comprehensive and standardized way, in accordance with the public policies advocated by the National Program of Patient Safety. Abstract Geoindicators are means adopted for the measurement of geological processes and phenomena that occur at or near the Earth's surface and vary significantly over periods of 100 years or less. These tools have focused on assessing geological impacts and risks over the last three decades. However, the use of geoindicators is not widely known and has not been as greatly exploited as have most environmental indicators. The objective of this study is to contribute to the diffusion of information about and the application of geoindicators. We have defined, in terms of geoindicators, parameters and aspects of coastal environments that are commonly studied or monitored. The geoindicators proposed were designed for assessing coastal physical vulnerability in the case of the coastal beaches of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Four geoindicators were defined and tested: the height and morpho-ecological state of the foredunes, shoreline position, and washout concentrations. An additional sócio-environmental indicator was included, sanitary quality. These indicators were brought together to constitute a Physical Vulnerability Index that represented seven locations along the coastline assessed. In addition, the indicators and Index values were used to generate a cartographic map that could be understood by the public and used by decision makers.
