The implementation of large-scale social restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic has made employees do their work at home so they spend more time ordering food online. This will lead to bad habits that cause food loss and waste (FLW) because the food available at home if not consumed will be wasted. This study aims to determine the factors related to total food loss and waste (FLW) in PT Camiloplast Jaya Makmur employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method is quantitative with a design cross-sectional. Engineering samples total sampling. The analysis of this study used the chi-square. Data were collected using the FLW behavior questionnaire and the form estimated food record 3x24 hours. The results showed that there was a relationship between age (p=0.000, OR=14,385) and gender (p=0.000, OR=20,855) to total food loss and waste (FLW) but there was no relationship between knowledge (p=0,139), income (p=0,826), food selection (p=0,332), lifestyle (p=0,486), frequency of eating (p=0,492) and meal times including breakfast (p=1,000), lunch (p=0,346), and dinner (p=0.476 to the total food loss and waste (FLW). Therefore, employees are expected to be wiser in ordering food online and endeavor to make a list of food to be purchased in order to minimize the occurrence of food loss and waste (FLW).

BACKGROUND Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease with involvement of genetic and environmental factors. The HLA-Cw6 allele is the strongest genetic factor that correlates with earlier onset and more severe clinical manifestation of psoriasis. In Javanese ethnic, HLA-Cw6 allelic expression has not been identified, although increasing psoriasis patients were found in hospital dermatology departments. The study was aimed to determine the allelic expression of HLA-Cw6 based on the onset and severity of psoriasis in Javanese ethnic. METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted from March to September 2018. Sixty psoriasis patients in the Margono Soekarjo Hospital and Banyumas Regional General Hospital were recruited consecutively. Psoriasis type, diagnosis, onset, and disease severity were assessed by dermatologists. HLA-Cw6 allelic expression was identified by DNA isolation, quantitative testing, and HLA-Cw6 genotyping. Fisher’s exact and chi-square tests were used to evaluate the association of HLA-Cw6 with age, clinical type, disease severity, onset, and gender. RESULTS The HLA-Cw6 allele positivity was identified at 297 base pairs (bp), while control showed at 618 bp bands. Among 60 subjects, 13 subjects (22%) showed HLACw6 positivity, and 47 subjects (78%) were HLA-Cw6 negative. HLA-Cw6 genotypes were similarly distributed concerning age, onset, gender, clinical type, and disease severity in psoriasis patients of Javanese ethnic (p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS HLA-Cw6 expression type may not have influence to the characteristics of patients with psoriasis.

AbstractIntroduction: Globalization has favored intra-European Commission (EC) and extra-EC migration to Spain. One of the most numerous cultural groups that have settled in the southern Spain is from Romania. Coexistence, especially in schools, has made us become interested in knowing the eating habits at breakfast of Romanian and Spanish populations. Numerous studies show that the food intake at breakfast, mostly made before leaving home, has an incidence on the physic wellbeing of adolescent throughout the day. The processes of acculturation are also inseparable from the eating habits, health and life, that maintain the migrant teenagers. Breakfast is analyzed as one of the habits more associated with diet quality; paradoxically, one of the findings of our study, many adolescents do not take a proper breakfast every day. Objectives: The study analyzes the characteristics and the main cultural and gender differences in the implementation of breakfast: its maintenance or omission in young autochthonous and immigrants of Romanian origin in the southeast Spanish schools. Design. This is a cross-sectional study with a cluster sampling in two Primary schools and seven Secondary schools. The instrument applied was an adaptation of the KIDSCREEN-27 questionnaire. Sample. It has been formed by 1472 students between 11 and 18 years old; nationality: 1315 were Spanish and 157 were Romanians. Data analysis. Descriptive and differential analyses using the chi-square and U of Mann-Whitney statistics. Results: In the study we identified 1.2% of Spaniards and 3.3% of Romanians who either skip breakfast or do not eat foods throughout the morning. The main breakfast foods of the Spanish students are dairy, bread and cereals, cookies, juice and olive oil; for the Romanian students the basic foods at breakfast are cereals, dairy products, juices, biscuits and jams. We have found significant differences between the two compared cultural groups. We also found significant differences between the food eaten by men of the two cultural groups (Spanish and Romanian) and by the food eaten by women (Spanish and Romanian) in the breakfast food. Conclusions: The results show the need to further promote and implement educational programs that encourage students to make breakfast before leaving home. Also, it is necessary, they take care of the intake of the right foods to start the day and contemplate this habit from a transcultural and gender approach. Significant differences were identified in the breakfast practice food by both genders and cultural groups.

This study evaluated the preferences of general dentists regarding vital and nonvital tooth bleaching therapies and investigated whether the time of clinical practice and post-graduate training influence these options. A cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire with closed questions applied to dentists (n=276) of a mid-sized city of the southern Brazil (Pelotas, RS). Information was collected regarding sociodemographic variables, level of specialization and time since graduation. In addition, options regarding bleaching therapies including the first choice of material, technique and clinical practice for vital and nonvital tooth bleaching therapies were included. Data were submitted to descriptive analysis and the associations were evaluated using chi-square and Fisher exact tests (α=0.05). The response rate was 68% (n=187). At-home bleaching therapy was broadly preferred (78.1%) over in-office (21.9%) bleaching. For at-home bleaching, most dentists answered to use 10% carbamide peroxide (CP) (40.2%) and >30% hydrogen peroxide (HP) (31.7%) for nonvital therapies. The majority of dentists with post-graduation training preferred at-home bleaching techniques (p=0.003). At-home bleaching therapy was also more indicated by younger dentists. No association was found between the choice for nonvital bleaching therapies and time since graduation (p=0.532) or continuous education (p=0.083). In conclusion, at-home bleaching was preferred over in-office therapies; 10% CP and >30% HP were chosen as first option agents to treat discolored vital and nonvital teeth, respectively. The time in clinical practice and the level of specialization affected dentists' choices only for vital tooth bleaching treatment.
