The purpose of this research is to determine (1) the effectiveness of the use of learning media based on android Arithmetic Digital with discovery-based learning model to learning achievement of computer system grade X of multimedia class at vocational high school 6 Surakarta, (2) the differences in students’ achievement between the control class and experimental class were given the action of using Android learning media with discovery-based learning model. The population of this research is students of grade X of Multimedia class at Vocational high school 6 Surakarta. This study uses an experimental quasi-approach. The techniques of data collection in this study using the test method to determine the results of pretest and post-test. The observation method is to know the difference of student activity of control class and experiment class. Data analysis used was non-parametric test by using Mann Whitney test and Wilcoxon rank test.

Based on the research, it can be concluded that the Android-based learning media with discovery-based learning model more effective in improving learning achievement compared with the conventional model. This is evidenced by the Wilcoxon sign rank test which gives a result of the significance of 0.000 < 0.005, which means there is a difference in mean values between the two classes. The experimental class got a higher average score that is 84.14 and the control class is 67.59. The result of this research is also reinforced by student gain index analysis, with gain of experimental class that is 0,70 which mean inclination category of high learning achievement while the gain’s improvement of control class is equal to 0,40 which means inclusive category of improvement in learning achievement, this matter because in the model of discovery-based learning able to improve student activeness in learning as well as to develop student's way of learning by finding their own, and self-investigate. And combined with the right learning media such as Android, will increasingly foster student interest in learning.

The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the effectiveness of think-talk-write teaching method toward learning achievement of mechanical machining lathe, (2) to describe the effectiveness of demonstration teaching method toward learning achievement of mechanical machining lathe, and (3) the teaching methods that are more effective between think-talk-write and demonstration among the eleventh grade students of vocational high school Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used observation and test. Hypothesis testing used descriptive analysis and t test that was started by using normality and homogeny test. This study shows that (1) think-talk-write teaching improved learning achievement of mechanical machining lathe among the eleventh grade students of vocational high school Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta with the average score 15.29. (2) Demonstration teaching improved learning achievement of mechanical machining lathe among the eleventh grade students of vocational high school Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta with the average score 13.13. (3) Based on the result of analysis, the score of tobs = 2.152 > ttable = 2.042 with the significant score 0.035 < 0.05, the mean score of learning achievement by using think-talk-write teaching method was 15.29, and the mean score of learning achievement by using demonstration teaching method was 13.13. Based on those mean scores, it could be concluded that the use of think-talk-write teaching method was higher that demonstration teaching method, it means that of think-talk-write teaching method was more effective that demonstration teaching method.

This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of family environment, peers, and learning achievement on the interest in continuing education to higher education in the XI class of accounting skills competencies in Padang City Vocational School simultaneously and partially. There are two Vocational Schools namely Padang State Vocational High School 2 and Padang State Vocational High School 3. This means that the population in this study was all students of class XI Accounting of Vocational Schools 2 Padang, amounting to 121 people and Vocational Schools 3 Padang totaling 83 people. From a total of 204 populations, the sampling method used was proportional random sampling technique with a total sample of 127 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. For data analysis methods used are descriptive and associative analysis and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there were influences on the family environment, peers, and learning achievement towards the interest in continuing to higher education simultaneously at 24.8%. Partially the family environment influences the interest in continuing to higher education. Whereas peers do not influence the interest in continuing their education to college. Likewise, for learning achievement does not affect the interest in continuing to higher education.Keyword: family environment, peers, learning achievement

This reseacrh aims to determine the effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model on the ability to think cretaively in mathematics in class VIII junior high school students in the estuary of students in the estuary of 2018/2019 academic year two-variable linearequation system (SPLDV). Jenis type of research used is true experimental design in the form of Pre-test and Post-test design. The population used was all students of class VIII of Muara Beliti state junior high school, consistingof 295 students and as a sample was class VIII.6 with 30 students as dick classes and VIII.8 with 31 students as experimental classes. The data collection was carried out using a test technique in the form of four essay questions with a maximum score of 20. Based on the resultd of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the students creative mathematical thinking ability were obtained then is rejected and is accepted, it means that the average score of students cerative thinking ability using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model is more than the average score of students creative thinking ability using conventional learning, namely in the experimental class at 12.97 and in the control class at 5.47.

Current learning is needed to emphasize student activities to be more constructive. However, learning emphasizes more on the target material and focuses on the final result. This study aims to improve student learning activities and outcomes in Automotive Engineering Basic Work subjects by implementing the ARCS learning model. This type of research is classroom action research, each cycle consisting of stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 40 students of tenth grade State Vocational High School in Purworejo, Indonesia. Data were collected through observation to determine the description of student activities during the learning process. Then the evaluation test was used to determine the final results of student learning after being given the ARCS learning model in the classroom. The study results indicate that the implementation of ARCS learning in the process provides progress on student learning activities and outcomes during the learning process. The results showed that the implementation of the ARCS model increased student learning activities by 74% and increased learning outcomes by 82%. Thus, it can be concluded that the ARCS learning model, in general, can have a potential effect because students are more constructive in learning so that it can be used as a learning reference in vocational high school.

This research aims to improve senior high school students’ physics problem-solving skills through learning used IBMR learning model. This research was a pre-an experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The Methods of data collection used validation and test. The materials used to teach were valid category by two experts and can be used to practice physics problem-solving skills. The average post-test score physics problem-solving ability was 73.24 with an N-gain of 0.59 was classified as moderate. The success of IBMR learning model-based devices in practicing problem-solving abilities can be seen in the increase in the average score in each indicator of problem-solving abilities. The indicator of understanding the problem had the highest post-test average score of 94.58 with an N-gain of 0.89 in the high category. The problem-solving indicator had the lowest posttest average score was 58.22 with N-gain 0.39 and mean that it was the moderate category. Based on the results study, it can be concluded that the learning used by IBMR learning model can practice the ability to solve physics problems on heat material and its displacement. Learning with the IBMR learning model was expected to train students in solving physics problems. The stages in the IBMR learning model can help students
