Abstrak The aim of this study is to provide a deep understanding of the language choice of a multilingual society. This study is a qualitative research using ethnographic methods. Observation, recording and transcripts and interviews are data collection techniques used. Analysis of the data in this study conducted by transcribing the data recorded in written form, then analyzed and interpreted. The data analysis showed that: the language choice of Botohilisorake rural communities are very dense, consisting of ten language options. There are three main languages chosen: Nias Selatan dialect, Indonesian and English. But the choice of the most dominant language is Nias Selatan dialect. This is because the villagers who are proud of their identities as a Nias people in general Nias and Nias Selatan people in particular. Keywords: Language choice, multilingual, language teaching Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang pilihan bahasa pada masyarakat multibahasa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode etnografis. Observasi, rekaman dan transkrip dan wawancara adalah tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan transkrip data rekaman ke dalam bentuk tulis, kemudian dianalisis dan dimaknai.Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: pilihan bahasa masyarakat desa Botohilisorake sangat lebat, terdiri dari sepuluh pilihan bahasa. Ada tiga bahasa yang paling utama dipilih yaitu bahasa Nias dialek Selatan, bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Tetapi pilihan bahasa yang paling dominan adalah bahasa Nias dialek Selatan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan masyarakat desa bangga akan identitas mereka sebagai orang Nias pada umumnya dan orang Nias Selatan pada khususnya.Kata Kunci: Pilihan bahasa, multibahasa, pengajaran bahasa

This study aims to describe and gain an in-depth understanding of politness in state court in Palembang Class 1A. The focus of the research is the ploitness of the participants in the trial with researchof politeness in terms of cultural aspects in state court in Palembang Class 1A.  Palembang South Sumatra Province. This research is a qualitative research with ethnography method of communication. Data collection techniques and procedures used are observation, recording and transcripts, and interviews. To verify the validity of data, carried out with credibility, transferbility, dependebility, and comfirmability. Data analysis was done by transcribing the recorded data into written form, then analyzed by focus and research. Based on data analysis, politeness state court in Palembang Class 1A Palembang descriptively expressed through cultural aspects in the form of verbal communication include the use of voice (accent) and the use of greeting forms in the communication session and non-verbal communication including kinesics such as nods and head shake and eyes contact, and kinesthetics in the form of a handshake performed by participants when communication takes place in the trial.

The purpose of this research is to describe the professional competence of Grade IV Indonesian teachers at The Central Ende Catholic Primary School in Ende Regency. Professional competence relates to the teacher's ability to master materials and teaching tasks. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Subjects in this study were Indonesian teachers, principals, and grade IV students. The object of this research is the professional competence of teachers of Bahasa Indonesia subjects. Data collection using interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis is conducted descriptively qualitatively. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the professional competence of Indonesian teachers in grade IV in Catholic primary schools in Central Ende subdistrict is relatively good. Professional competencies that have been mastered by teachers include the ability of teachers in mastering materials, structures, concepts, and scientific mindsets, the ability of teachers in mastering the standard of competence and basic competencies of the Indonesian language, the ability of teachers in developing indonesian language learning materials creatively, and the ability of teachers in developing professionally in a sustainable manner. Thus, it can be concluded that the overall professional competence of indonesian language teachers in grade IV as threatening as Ende Tengah needs to be maintained and also organized efforts to continuously improve the professional competence of teachers in accordance with the development of science and technology.

This study aims to describe the form of code mixing between Indonesia and Kutai languages as well as the factors behind the occurred among traders at Pasar Gerbang Raja Mangkurawang, Tenggarong district. The analysis method used in this study is the contextual method. This research is a qualitative research, where the research that produces descriptive data in the form of written words. The data collection techniques used werw listening, recording and interviewing techniques. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the form of code mixing included the insertion of elements in the form of 28 words, 2 phrases and 1 clause. The background for the occurrence of code mixing is due to two factors, namely the speaker factor and the language factor. Speakers factor that causes code mixing, due to relaxedness and habits in language. ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan guna memaparkan dan mendeskripsikan mulai dari jenis tindak tutur, bentuk, dan maksud tuturan siswa yang dipakai� ketika� pembelajaran online via WhatsApp di kelas 3 SDN 2 Setrojenar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan studi deskriptif yang dilihat berdasarkan jenis tindak tutur lokusi, ilokusi, dan perlokusi. Adapun jenis dari penelitian yang digunakan dalam penyusunan artikel ini yaitu berupa penelitian deskriptif� kualitatif. Sumber data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian� yaitu sumber dalam bentuk tertulis yang ada pada pembelajaran online via WhatsApp di kelas 3 SDN 2 Setrojenar. Data dari penelitian yang dilakukan� yaitu berupa keseluruhan tuturan yang berjenis lokusi, ilokusi, dan perlokusi. Teknik yang digunakan dalam� pengumpulan data yakni teknik� baca, simak, dan catat. Analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu berupa analisis data kualitatif. Peneliti mendapatkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan berdasarkan tindak tutur siswa saat pembelajaran online via WhatsApp bahwa di dalam pembelajaran tersebut terdapat, jenis-jenis� tindak tutur yaitu tindak tutur lokusi, tindak tutur ilokusi, dan tindak tutur perlokusi. Berdasarkan jenis tindak tutur lokusi terdapat bentuk informatif dan bentuk pertanyaan. Bentuk asertif, direktif, dan ekspresif juga terdapat pada tindak tutur jenis ilokusi. Sedangkan pada tindak tutur terdapat bentuk dorongan yang membuat mitra tutur melakukan sesuatu. Tindak tutur siswa pada pembelajaran online via whatsApp di kelas 3 SDN 2 Setrojenar memiliki maksud tuturan yakni untuk mempengaruhi, menginformasikan sesuatu, memuji, dan mengapresiasi.KATA KUNCI: pragmatik; tindak tutur; whatsApp�ACTION OF TUTUR STUDENTS IN VIA WHATSAPP ONLINE LEARNING IN CLASS 3 SD NEGERI 2 SETROJENAR(Descriptive Study based on Location, Illocution and Perlocution)�ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe and describe the types of speech acts, forms, and intentions of students' speech used in online learning via WhatsApp in grade 3 of SDN 2 Setrojenar. The study was conducted with a descriptive study that was seen based on the type of speech acts of locution, illocution, and perlocution. The type of research used in the preparation of this article is descriptive qualitative research. Sources of data needed in the study are sources in written form that exist in online learning via WhatsApp in grade 3 SDN 2 Setrojenar. Data from the research carried out in the form of a whole speech that is of type locution, illocution, and perlocution. The techniques used in data collection are reading, listening, and note-taking. Data analysis in this research is in the form of qualitative data analysis. Researchers get the results of research conducted based on students' speech acts when learning online via WhatsApp that in learning there are, the types of speech acts are locus speech acts, illocutionary speech acts, and perlocutionary speech acts. Based on the type of locus speech act there are informative forms and forms of questions. The assertive, directive, and expressive forms also occur in speech acts of the illocutionary type. Whereas in speech act there is a form of encouragement that makes the speech partner do something. The students' speech acts on online learning via WhatsApp in grade 3 SDN 2 Setrojenar have the purpose of speech which is to influence, inform something, praise, and appreciate.KEYWORDS: pragmatics; speech act; WhatsApp.

<p align="center"><span lang="IN">Oath is an official statement or a word used to prove the truth, and someone who takes an oath can make a curse for himself if it violates the pledge. But, in its use in the present era, the word oath no longer shows its sacredness but also indicates its use as slang in affirming something among young people. This research is focused on shifting the meaning of the word oath. This research is qualitative—research data in the form of sentences that contain the word oath. The data was obtained from social media, Twitter, and Facebook. Data collection methods used in the form of refer to the method of note-taking. Data analysis methods used in the form of a method of distribution with substitution techniques or dressing techniques. From this research, the result is that the word oath has a shift in meaning, expanding, or generalizing. The word oath, which was originally used as a sacred word, in the millennial era, is used as a word to convince others and express feelings.</span></p>

This study evaluates the implementation of marriage rituals at the Watansoppeng Religious Court following Law Number 1/1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law. It evaluates the basis for judges' considerations in deciding marriage cases at the Watansoppeng Religious Court. This research is qualitative research with purposive sampling, and data collection techniques used are field research and library research. The data analysis technique was analyzed qualitatively, then described descriptively by explaining, describing, and describing the problems closely related to this research—the need to provide information and counseling to the community on an incentive basis. Counseling regarding the contents of Law Number 1/1974 concerning marriage, counseling on the importance of marriage registration for life to come, especially for their children and the assets they gain in marriage. This counseling is given to all levels of society, especially rural communities, both married and unmarried. The purpose of marriage to form an eternal family based on the Almighty God is achieved.

AbstractHumans on earth need social interaction with others. Humans can use more than one language in communication. Thus, the impact that arises when the use of one or more languages is the contact between languages. One obvious form of contact between languages is interference. Interference can occur at all levels of life. As in this study, namely Indonesian Language Interference in Learning PPL Basic Thailand Unhasy Students. This study contains the form of interference that occurs in Thai students who are conducting teaching practices in the classroom. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that seeks to describe any interference that occurs in the speech of Thai students when teaching practice. Data collection methods in this study are (1) observation techniques, (2) audio-visual recording techniques using CCTV and (3) recording techniques, by recording all data that has been obtained. Whereas the data wetness uses, (1) data triangulation, (2) improvement in perseverance and (3) peer review through discussion. Data analysis techniques in this study are (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation and (4) conclusions. It can be seen that the interference that occurs includes (1) interference in phonological systems, (2) interference in morphological systems and (3) interference in syntactic systems.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode Program Fajar Indah yang ada di Radio Citra Progo dalam meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, mengetahui klasifikasi da’i pengisi program Fajar Indah, serta pesan dakwah dari program Fajar Indah. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data digunakan penafsiran logika yang dihubungkan dengan konteks Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Radio Citra Progo dalam program Fajar Indah menggunakan metode ceramah dengan pembawaan da’i yang santai ketika siaran. Adapun klasifikasi da’i dalam siaran dakwah ini, dapat dilihat dari wawasan keilmuan penyiar dalam menguasai Al Quran dan Hadist sebagai sumber hukum Islam dan kedisiplinan untuk menjalankan tugas sebagai da’i penyiar radio. Dalam siaran Program Fajar Indah terdapat pesan dakwah berupa materi Aqidah untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat kepada Allah, mengimani rukun Iman dan rukun Islam, serta materi Akhlak yang diperintahkan oleh Allah dan dicontohkan oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW, materi Ibadah yang menyampaikan tatacara beribadah kepada Allah meliputi hukum pernikahan, hukum bertetangga, shodaqoh, sholat, puasa dan menyampaikan materi tentang hari-hari besar umat Islam. This study aims to determine the methods of the Beautiful Fajar Program on Radio Citra Progo in improving people's religious understanding, knowing the classification of preachers for the Fajar Indah program, and preaching messages from the Fajar Indah program. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection in this study uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the interpretation of logic connected with the context of Islamic Broadcast Communication. The results showed that Citra Progo Radio in the Fajar Indah program used a lecture method with a relaxed nature when broadcasting. The da'i classification in this da'wah broadcast, can be seen from the broadcaster's scientific insights in mastering the Qur'an and Hadith as a source of Islamic law and discipline to carry out their duties as radio broadcast preachers. In the broadcast of the Fajar Indah Program there is a da'wah message in the form of Aqeedah material to increase public trust in God, faith in the pillars of faith and pillars of Islam, as well as moral material ordered by God and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, the material of worship which conveys the procedure of worship to God including marriage law , neighborly law, shodaqoh, prayer, fasting and delivering material about the Muslim holidays.

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia that has a unique talk system, it is still alive and used as an instrument of communication of Balinese tribe so that it should be well maintained in order to still exist as a cultural vehicle of Bali. The Balinese language has anggah-ungguh kruna (level-word) that an important role in the formation of speech-level or anggah-ungguh basa Bali. This paper aims to describe the identification anggah-ungguh kruna (word level arrangement) which is the specific feature of speaking Balinese. This research is a qualitative research discuss with structuralism theory. Data collection was done by observation and interview method, assisted by recording technique. The collected data is processed by analytical descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be described that anggah-ungguh kruna basa Bali include: (1) kruna nenten alus (kruna kasar, mider, and andap); (2) kruna alus, include: (kruna alus singgih, alus sor, alus mider, and alus madia).

Transforming spoken words into written text in qualitative research is a vital step in familiarizing and immersing oneself in the data. We share a three-step approach of how data transcription facilitated an interpretative act of analysis in a study using qualitative data collection methods on the barriers and facilitators of HIV testing and treatment in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
