Instagram can be used as a mass communication medium that can reach a wide audience in the digital world, and Instagram users can be categorized as active audiences to play a role in giving meaning to various accounts, especially official accounts at an organization / company / university. No exception the official account from UMSIDA (Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo). This account is expected to be a medium of communication between UMSIDA and UMSIDA students. The purpose of this study was to see Umsida Student Reception on "1912 Umsida Instagram" as an Information Media for Umsida Student Activities.This type of research is descriptive qualitative and focuses on the meaning of UMSIDA students (Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo). The object of this research is Instagram Umsida 1912 and the subjects of this research are students who are followers / followers of the 1912 Umsida Instagram account. The informants are students who are members of UKM (Student Activity Unit) members of HIMA (Student Association) and students who are active in Other organizations outside, the technique of determining informants using purposive sampling, with data obtained from in-depth interviews. The method used in this research is the encoding-decoding reception analysis method by Stuart Hall, where the reception includes perception, thought, preference, and interpretation.The results obtained from this study indicate that the different receptions / meanings by the informants based on the experience and background of each informant are influenced by internal and external factors of the informants that Umsida Instagram is considered to be still lacking in providing information on student activities medically however, Instagram Umsida has advantages in providing information about PMB (New Student Admissions).

Film are widely used as a medium of mass communication because film are considered effective in conveying messages. The presence of film that are usually made to represent the reality of real life that exists in society. As in the film Imperfect which is fully titled Imperfect: Career, Love & Scales, tells a story about the case of self-acceptance with the issue of beauty standards that are assessed by the general public. This study aims to determine the meaning of teenagers in Jakarta in the Imperfect film related to body positivity. This research is a qualitative research which is descriptive and uses reception analysis. The theory used is the reception theory and Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory which describe the three positions of the meaning of the audience. The research results were obtained through in-depth interviews which will be grouped into three positions of meaning, namely the dominant position, the negotiation position and the position.Film banyak digunakan sebagai medium komunikasi massa karena film dianggap ampuh dalam menyampaikan pesan. Kehadiran film yang biasanya dibuat untuk merepresentasikan realitas dari kehidupan nyata yang ada di tengah masyarakat. Seperti halnya dalam film Imperfect yang berjudul lengkap Imperfect: Karier, Cinta & Timbangan, bercerita tentang kasus penerimaan diri dengan isu standar kecantikan yang dinilai pada masyarakat umun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemaknaan remaja di Jakarta pada film Imperfect terkait body positivity. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dan menggunakan analisis resepsi. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori resepsi dan teori encoding-decoding Stuart Hall yang menjabarkan tiga posisi pemaknaan audiens. Hasil penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam yang akan dikelompokkan menjadi tiga posisi pemaknaan yaitu pada posisi dominan, posisi negosiasi dan posisi. Hasil penelitian menempatkan sebagian besar informan berada pada posisi negosiasi yang menyetujui bahwa penokohan dan cerita yang disampaikan dalam film Imperfect memiliki nilai body positivity namun dengan pengecuali pada beberapa adegan yang ada.

Plentiful choices of Student Activities Unit that offered by a campus like Multimedia Nusantara University can help students who want to choose a unit that suitable for them. The decision support system application with Forward Chaining method is built to help students choosing the Student Activity Unit that suits them. Multiple Intelligence method is used as the knowledge base at making the rules. The aspects that considered as attributes to choosing the Student Activities Unit is the initial interest and also the multiple intelligence scores that the level of conformity will be searched by using Forward Chaining method. This research has produced a knowledge-based decision support system that can help students at choosing Student Activities Unit that suitable for them with the highest accuracy of 86.67 percent. This system is designed in website with PHP and MySQL database programming language. <p><strong>Abstrak<br /></strong></p><p><strong></strong>Berdasarkan <em>survey</em>, salah kegiatan berinternet yang paling sering dilakukan adalah belanja <em>online</em> sebanyak 44.6%. Sedangkan generasi yang mendominasi penggunaan internet adalah generasi z. Generasi z merupakan generasi yang akrab dengan dunia digital dan berani mengambil resiko. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana generasi z melakukan proses pencarian informasi dalam melakukan belanja <em>online</em><em> </em>dengan menyebarkan angket serta melakukan wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan <em>mix method. </em>Adapun subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Tidar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ulasan produk di <em>e-commerce</em> merupakan sumber utama remaja generasi z dalam mencari informasi yakni sebesar 80.7%. Sumber informasi lainnya adalah ulasan produk di sosial media dan bertanya kepada teman. Adapun alasannya adalah untuk mencari <em>trend</em> terkini serta ulasan produk dapat dipercaya dan generasi z peduli dengan pendapat orang sekitar.</p><p> </p><p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p><p><em>Based on the survey, one of the most frequently carried out internet activities was online shopping which is 44.6%. Meanwhile, the generation that dominates internet usage is z generation. Z generation z is a generation that is familiar with the digital world and is willing to take risks. This study aims to see how generation Z performs the information search process in online shopping. This study uses a mix method by distributing questionnaires and conducting in-depth interviews. Subject of this research is the students of communication in Tidar University. The results of this study indicate that product reviews on e-commerce is the main source of z generation adolescents in seeking information, which is 80.7%. Other sources of information are product reviews on social media and asking friends. The reasons for those are they look for the newest trend and product reviews are trustworthy and z generation cares what people think about them.</em></p>

<p class="15bIsiAbstractBInggris">The achievement in implementing all programs in the tahfidz al qur'an institution is the result of a combination of neat management, the cleverness of the educators and the availability of facilities and infrastructure as well as the input of quality students, this research finds out how the management of santri Mahad Tahfidz bogor recruitment, a place in meticulous is Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Boarding Scool which has a focus and commitment in fostering its students to complete memorization of 30 juz, Ma'had bina Madani Boarding scool which is equivalent to the level of Madrasah aliyah. Research shows the existence of santri recruitment management which is carried out in ma'had bina madani for adequate input attainment in achieving the target of memorizing the Qur'an. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods with in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that ma'had bina madani had managed the recruitment of students which included (1) Planning for Santri Tahfidz (2) Implementation of the New Santri Tahfidz Recruitment which included one PSB committee formation, two determinations of the number of students received, three announcements of new santri admissions. Four Registration Five Entrance Selection Six Announcement of New Santri Admission (3) PSB Evaluation (4) New Student Orientation.   </p><p class="16aJudulAbstrak"><strong>Abstrak    </strong>                              </p><p class="16bIsiAbstrak">Ketercapaian dalam melaksanakan semua program dalam lembaga tahfidz al qur'an merupakan hasil dari paduan antara menajemen yang rapih, keiklasan para pendidik dan ktersediaan sarana dan prasarana juga input peserta didik yang berkualitas, peneletian ini mengetahui bagaimana manajemen rekrutmen santri Mahad Tahfidz bogor, tempat yang di teliti merupakan Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Boarding Scool yang memiliki fokus dan komitmen dalam membina peserta didik nya untuk menyelesaikan hafalan 30 juz, Ma'had bina Madani Boarding scool yang setara dengan jenjang Madrasah aliyah. Penelitian menunjukan adanya manajemen rekrutmen santri yang dilaksankan di ma'had bina madani untuk Ketecapaian Input yang memadai dalam mencapai target hafalan al quran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan  bahwa ma'had bina madani telah melakukan manjemen rekrutmen santri yang meliputi (1) Perencanaan Santri Tahfidz (2) Pelaksanaan Rekrutmen Santri Tahfidz Baru yang Mencakup satu Pembetukan panitia PSB, Dua Penetuan Jumlah Santri yang di terima, tiga Pengumuman Penerimana santri Baru Empat Pendaftaran Lima Seleksi Masuk Enam Pengumuman Penerimaan Santri Baru (3)Evaluasi PSB (4) Orientasi Peserta didik Baru.    </p>

The purpose of this study to discover and reveal the social construction of masculine woman identity in terms of externalization, objectivation, and internalization. This study used a qualitative approach, with a method or theory of social reality construction of constructivism paradigm. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and literature. The study finding showed that the social construction of masculine woman identity in terms of externalization is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factor is influenced by a family that makes informants show the social construction of masculine woman identity to the public. While external factor is influenced by association with male friend and technological advances (mass media) that have contributed to the formation of character, appearance style, and feeling to others. In general, social identity construction of masculine woman constructs her identity in a way  showed that masculine woman does not always have a negative character. In this case, a masculine woman can survive and adapt to the family, campus and community environments. The research finding showed that appearance changes will only happen if there is a will from the masculine woman herself, and the comfort level of masculine appearance can not change the identity.

This chapter analyzes the political circumstances and opportunities under which mobile phones emerge as a repertoire of contention. It argues that we should not just look at the use of communication technologies in contention. Instead, an investigation necessitates the perception of communication technologies as a repertoire of contention on the basis of affordances that structure the possibilities of the use of technology. Through fieldwork and in-depth interviews, this chapter indicates that taking (certain functions of) mobile phones as protest repertoire derives from a confluence of given social group’s habitus of media use that manifests particular affordances and the learned experience of the contested means of the past in official mass communication. More interestingly, communication and metacommunication of official media coverage of information and communication technology-mediated political activism modularizes and legitimizes the use of mobile phones in protests, and hence shapes specific ways people have harnessed their mobile phones as a key contentious repertoire.

Many college instructors are hesitant to adopt student active teaching approaches. Student activity-based classroom teaching may require a lot of time investment in designing and conducting student activities. Also, student activities during the class period may lead to inadequate coverage of the course content mentioned in the syllabus. Incomplete course coverage and the amount of effort required on the part of an instructor for designing active teaching strategies are cited as the common hindrances in adopting active student teaching. To address these widely recognized inhibiting factors, we recently implemented a new student-active teaching approach. This approach is based on the students’ presentation and hence termed as student presentation based effective teaching (SPET). The SPET approach is designed to address the key components of effective teaching. However, to understand the efficacy of SPET for different instructors we implemented it in five courses offered during the same semester. The Learning Resource Division faculty analyzed the data and interviewed the instructors that implemented SPET. Here we present the response and insights garnered from different instructors. Participating instructors reflected their views about the advantages and challenges associated with the adaptation of SPET.

The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine strategies for improving the work discipline of village officials in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This research was conducted in Carawali Village, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach (qualitative research). Data collection was carried out by means of observation and in-depth interviews. The primary data source in this study consisted of key informants, namely the Head of the Carawali Village and the informants in this study were officials / employees of the Carawali Village, Sidenreng Rappang District, obtained through the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique uses the SWOT analysis method which is one of the methods used to describe the condition of a problem, and evaluate the problem, which is based on internal and external factors, namely Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats which then create a matrix. and assessment to find out the most appropriate strategy. Based on the results of this study, the most appropriate strategy to improve the work discipline of the Carawali Village Officials in Sidenreng Rappang District is to improve village apparatus services by conducting leadership training, utilizing human resources to participate in training in improving quality to use information system technology, improving coordination and supervision of village heads with other village officials, making clear SOPs on the rules and salary system to be applied.

The aim of this paper is to present the ways and forms in which traditional media have adapted to the digital world, primarily to the Internet social networks and the interactive possibilities provided by them. The research question is: do and to what extent the traditional media use the opportunities offered by social media. During the search for the answer to this question, the results of this academic research and the results obtained from the in-depth interviews with the editors of the web sites of the six leading traditional media in Serbia carried out by the author of this paper were analyzed. The conclusion is that traditional media use social networks predominantly to promote their online editions, and that those media which want to be influential in this filed use social network sites as a source of information and generate a new genre - a live blog.

ABSTRACTThe study used a qualitative approach with a method of collecting data through in-depth interviews with 10 informants who were followers of the  @tubbeautystore  Instagram account. The purpose of this study is to explore the five stages of consumer behavior in the Marketing 4.0 era or what is called new customer path 5A. The results of this study indicate that informants obtained information through endorsers and also the activities of colleagues on Instagram until the informants were in the aware stage. All informants follow the @tubbeautystore Instagram account as an act of appeal. The informant wants to get information as soon as possible when there is information about the product needed (ask). Although currently digital development is very easy for activities, informants are still very comfortable to shop offline (act). Satisfied informants then recommend the TUB Beauty Store to other colleagues (advocate). Some informants do not go through all stages in customer path 5A. The conclusion of this study is that Instagram can help in the stage of awareness when companies use endorsers and hashtag services. When someone is interested they will take action following the account. After they are interested they tend to want to get information quickly. But even though the digital world allows all activities to be faster and easier, some are still convenient for shopping offline. And when satisfied, will undoubtedly recommend to others. The unique pattern of 5A consumer behavior is not always in the form of a serial.
