Abstract: The ultimate goal of Indonesian teaching is to help learners able to integrate themselves into the society successfully. This aim is in line with the development of science and technology in the globalization era, in which the role of the Indonesian language as a mean of personal development is inevitably challenged by the rapid changes and the need of international languages. For this reason, it is worried that learners face any negative wash back of the existence of International language, in instance, the lost of their own identity. To this end, the role of Indonesian teaching is getting more and more obviously important. In reality, however, the Indonesian teaching is generally assumed as the easiest subject if it is compared with other subjects. As a result of this case, learners pretend not to learn Indonesian seriously. Ironically, many students get low grade although the Indonesian lesson is seen easily to learn. In fact, elementary school (SD/MI) is regarded as basis for the formation of the noble values of the nation. The study had identified several sources of problems in learning Indonesian both from the educators or learners. Besides, it was revealed that the result of learning was affected by some aspects, such as the goals, materials, methods, school facilities and infrastructure.

AbstrakBahasa Indonesia memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan, yaitu sebagai bahasa penghantar pendidikan. Bahasa Indonesia juga memiliki peran penting sebagai alat pegembangan kebudayaan, ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Namun, bahasa Inggris juga tidak kalah penting untuk hubungan internasional sebagai alat pegembangan kebudayaan, ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Di Indonesia sendiri telah menerapkan belajar berbahasa inggris sebagai standar kelulusan mulai dari sekolah dasar hingga perguruan tinggi. Hal tersebut tentu sangat bermanfaat mengingat pentingnya mempunyai kemampuan untuk berbahasa inggris. Artikel ini membahas tentang peran bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris dalam ilmu pengetahuan di era globalisasi. The purpose of this study is to build the framework about the influence of families on the formation and personality development of elementary school students in Vietnam. The research results show that there are 5 contents and 5 methods in family education that are commonly used by parents of students in urban areas of Vietnam where economic and social conditions are common. With a traditional Confucian education background, Vietnamese families always give a lot of attention to their children. However, the fact that the “excessive” care of Vietnamese parents negatively affects the personal development of elementary school age children. Besides, the paper contributes to the literature on the role of family education in Vietnam in the development of elementary school student character.

PUEBI (Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia) is a guideline in the use of good and correct Indonesian Language. The use of Indonesian in everyday life often does not pay attention to the rules correctly. Many Indonesian language users are still confused about raw and non-standard words, punctuation, and so on. Actually PUEBI learning has been given from the elementary school level to the college level, but its application is still not appropriate in everyday life. Now, with increasingly rapid technological advancements, many applications can be used as media for learning, one of which is Instagram. Through Instagram, knowledge about PUEBI can be shared in the form of pictures or videos to make it more attractive. This study aims to reveal the role of Instagram as a medium in PUEBI learning. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through library research. The results of this study indicate that Instagram has an important role in PUEBI learning.

The purpose of this study is to know and describe the role of teachers in the learning process in Primary School of Indonesia Inpres Komboi Biak Numfor District. This research uses qualitative research methods with the process of collecting data using interviews, observation and questionnaires. The place of this research is SD Inpres Komboi Biak Numfor District. The sample of this study amounted to 36 people consisting of 30 students and 6 teachers. For sample student researcher use random sampling technique (random). The results of this study indicate that in general teachers who teach in elementary school Inpres Komboi, already carry out their duties and roles well but the obstacles that exist in elementary school Inpres Komboi still less support books books such as packages in the process of learning Indonesian.

English is an international language, and the age of globalization now, especially in science and technology. Techniques used using web crawlers combined with an English word guess game. The process is done the user chooses the vocabulary categories to be played for guessing words, then will appear the composition of one word of some of the letters to guess the answer of the question that will appear. The long-term goal of this research is the creation of an interactive English word guessing app for students and students ranging from Elementary School to Higher Education  Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa internasional, dan jaman globalisasi sekarang, khususnya dalam sains dan teknologi. Dari renstra penelitian di Universitas Mercu Buana topik penelitian yang dibutuhkan merupakan terkait dengan aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis multimedia. Kemudian, khususnya pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Teknik yang dipakai menggunakan web crawler dikombinasikan dengan permainan tebak kata bahasa Inggris. Proses yang dilakukan adalah pengguna memilih kategori kosa kata yang akan dimainkan untuk tebak katanya, kemudian akan tampil susunan satu kata dari beberapa huruf tersebut untuk ditebak jawaban dari pertanyaan yang akan tampil. Target pencapaian jangka panjang riset ini adalah terciptanya sebuah aplikasi permainan tebak kata Bahasa Inggris yang interaktif terhadap siswa dan mahasiswa mulai dari tingkat Sekolah Dasar sampai Perguruan Tinggi.

  Spread corruption, collution and nepotism and increase of drugs, criminality etc. on the other hand was one of moral collapse in our nation. This phenomena was standpoint from morality mozaik from our generation and must be solved to make our nations better. The eduation is one of the most useful to revamp our generation, and values education must be implemented in schools. This research used of qualitative method to thoroughly find fact and phenomena which the researcher himself as the instrument. The researcher used in-depth interview, participatory observation, and documentation to collect the data. The validity data is acquired by triangulation, the longer observation, negative case analysis, and references to check and recheck. The researcher used interactive data analysis method by Miles and Huberman to analyze the data which includes: data reduction, data display and conclusion. The result shows that the headmaster, teacher, and staff of Muhammadiyah Bodon of Elementary School have significant role in the implementation of values education. As a manager, the headmaster planed, organized and evaluated the program. The teachers took the role of values educator, model to values teaching, supervisor and evaluator to values education program. The values education programs in Muhammadiyah Bodon Elementary School was implemented by comprehensive models that was integrated in learning, extracurricular, and particular events. The values developed in that school were the values of religion, clean and beauty, discipline, politeness, and honesty. The impacts of values education on the performance of students of Muhammadiyah Bodon Elementary School was significant. This can be seen from their achievements in school cleaning competitions, religion competitions, “batik” contest, Javanese speech contest etc. The factors that encouraged the implementations of values education were: good capability of human resources, school facilities, some programs which were in line with values education, and the active role of the school elements. The factors that discouraged values education program were: few of teachers who did not appreciate to values education programs, parents who did not care with affective education to their children, and the environment did not care with the implementation of values education in Muhammadiyah Bodon Elementary School.   Key words: Values, education, Muhammadiyah

AbstrakArtikel ini membahas masalah peran bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa ilmu di era globalisasi. Era globalisasi yang ditandai berkembangnya berbagai aspek kehidupan terutama aspek pendidikan dan teknologi menuntut masyarakat Indonesia supaya menguasai bahasa internasional (bahasa Inggris). Sumber-sumber bacaan yang berbahasa Inggris berkembang cukup pesat di lingkungan akademik. Bahkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris menjadi syarat kelulusan untuk mahasiswa yang ingin menyelesaikan studi. Kondisi tersebut memberi dampak terhadap eksistensi bahasa Indonesia, yaitu semakin tergesernya peran bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa ilmu. Hal ini menjadi tantangan berat bagi bangsa Indonesia untuk bisa menjaga jati diri bahasa Indonesia di tengah-tengah arus globalisasi yang semakin tidak terkendali. <p>During their teaching Field Experience Program, the researchers noticed that many students showed undisciplined attitudes during learning. The purpose this paper is to describe through a qualitative descriptive method the role of Christian teachers in building the disciplinary attitudes of grade 1 elementary school students through rewards and consequences. In Christian education, Christian teachers are called by God to help students develop character traits that are in accordance with the character of Christ, one of which is the attitude of discipline. Discipline can not grow properly without motivation. Therefore, Christian teachers need to motivate students continuously. A disciplined attitude that is instilled early on will help students have obedient personalities. The formation of students' disciplinary attitudes can be done by using rewards and consequences in the classroom. Rewards and consequences applied by Christian teachers must be guided by biblical values so that students realize that the attitude of discipline they have is not for themselves but for the glory of God. Thus Christian teachers play a very important role in shaping students' disciplinary attitudes in accordance with Christian values. Christian teachers should apply rewards and consequences to suit students' age, development, and biblical values.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Selama menjalani Program Pengalaman Lapangan khususnya dalam mengajar, peneliti memperhatikan banyak siswa yang menunjukan sikap yang tidak disiplin selama pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penulisan paper ini adalah untuk memaparkan peran guru Kristen di dalam membangun sikap disiplin siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar melalui penghargaan dan konsekuensi melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam pendidikan Kristen, guru Kristen dipanggil Tuhan untuk membantu siswa memiliki karakter yang sesuai dengan karakter Kristus, salah satunya adalah sikap disiplin. Sikap disiplin tidak dapat bertumbuh dengan baik tanpa adanya motivasi. Oleh sebab itu, guru Kristen perlu untuk memotivasi siswa secara terus menerus. Sikap disiplin yang ditanamkan sejak dini akan membuat siswa memiliki kepribadian yang taat. Pembentukan sikap disiplin siswa dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan penghargaan dan konsekuensi di dalam kelas. Penghargaan dan konsekuensi yang diterapkan oleh guru Kristen harus berpedoman pada nilai Alkitabiah sehingga siswa menyadari bahwa sikap disiplin yang dimilikinya bukan untuk dirinya sendiri melainkan untuk kemuliaan Tuhan. Jadi guru Kristen memegang peran yang begitu penting dalam membentuk sikap disiplin siswa yang sesuai dengan nilai kristiani. Hendaknya guru Kristen dalam menerapkan penghargaan dan konsekuensi harus disesuaikan dengan usia, perkembangan, dan tentunya nilai-nilai Alkitabiah.</p>

STEM is the acronym of the first letters in English of science, technology, engineering, and maths. This is a training concept that is related to inspiring young people to develop in the field of science and technology. This concept implies a holistic approach in education - learning all the subjects studied to contribute to inspiring students and to educating personal qualities for successful realization in the field of science and technology. From a didactic point of view, this concept implies unity between content and organization of learning, between teaching and learning. The implementation of STEM training in elementary school corresponds to one of the applications of this concept, namely that development itself is an irreversible process characterized by favorable sensory periods. The sooner STEM training takes place, the better. In economically developed countries there are real practices of introducing STEM training even for the youngest children of 3+ years. The object of the present study is the technology and entrepreneurship education as an element of STEM training in elementary school, and the subject - the personal development of students in technology and entrepreneurship education as an element of STEM training in elementary school. The aim of the paper is to present our approaches to technology and entrepreneurship education as an element of STEM training to support the personal development of pupils of primary school age. In the course of the research we carry out the following tasks: 1. Clarifying the essence of STEM training. 2. Developing approaches to technology and entrepreneurship education to help students' personal development. 3. Matching the results of technology and entrepreneurship training to labor market requirements.

AbstrakBahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris di Indonesia merupakan bahasa yang memiliki peran penting dalam bidang ilmu pengetahuan di Indonesia. Peran tersebut adalah sebagai bahasa pengantar pendidikan dan bahasa sarana pengembangan dan pemanfaatan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan seni. Undang-undang menyebutkan peran bahasa pengantar pendidikan di Indonesia hanya dapat dilaksanakan dengan bahasa Indonesia.
