Abstract Background Existing positive shape models are based on values for the right side of the body. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first comparative study to analyze both left- and right-side data to explore asymmetrical body characteristics, considering that most older people are not able to maintain a healthy spinal vertical tilt presentation. In this study, 3D scanning and 3D measurement were used to analyze and study the asymmetry of the elderly in South Korea to provide more complete basic size data for the development of clothing patterns for the elderly. Methods The calculated values were analyzed by ANOVA and correlation analysis, and the paired sample t-test was performed to find asymmetrical characteristics of the older adult body. Finally, we used the independent t-test to analyze sex differences. Geomagic Design X software was used to record the coordinates of the measured points to reconstruct 3D models of the older adult body. We present a new method based on analysis of the vertex-anterior neck plane, the anterior neck-omphalion plane, and the omphalion-crotch point plane as benchmarks for the center of the head, the upper torso and the lower torso, respectively, to determine lateral asymmetry. Results The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test indicated the tendency of the torso to tilt to the right in older men and women. Compared with the inclination of the head, the inclination of the lower torso is more obvious. The correlation analysis results show that the tilt of the head does not affect the asymmetrical characteristics of the trunk. Conclusions This study did not use the traditional median sagittal plane as a central datum plane, instead separating the model according to the structure of the human body into the head, upper body, and lower body, with three independent central datum planes. Therefore, this study contributes an analysis of human asymmetry, thus providing more complete basic size data for the development of clothing patterns for the elderly in South Korea.

In the population of Poland, as well as in other European countries, an aging process is taking place. It is expected that in Poland in 2050, up to 35% of the population may be seniors. With increasing age, there are numerous changes in the body that necessitate the modification of the current diet. Incorrect diet is a risk factor for many old age diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases, osteoporosis, atherosclerosis, stroke, type 2 diabetes and hypertension. The aim of this study is to review the nutrition recommendations in selected diseases of the elderly. The diet of seniors should provide the right amount of nutrients and be adapted to existing diseases. A proper diet can reduce the risk of complications from senile diseases.

Background :The falling risk is an event reported by a patient or family who sees an incident, which results in a person suddenly lying, sitting on the floor or lower place with or without loss of consciousness or injury. Falls can occurwhen the body’s postural, control system fails to detectshifting and not repositioning the center of gravity toward the body support at the right time.  In Indonesia, the elderly who live in communities experience an annual fall or around 30%. The incidence of falls in the elderly living in the community increased from 25% at the age 70 to 35% after being over 75 years old. One cause of the fall is a disturbance in the pattern of roads. Therefore it is necessary to practice early detection of the risk of falling in the elderly. Target and output 100% of extension participants consisting of the elderly can increase their knowledge and understanding of early detection training on the risk of falling on the elderly. Methods of conducting lectures and demonstrations or exercises. The result of the elderly can mention how to detect risk in the elderly and can do exercises to prevent falls. Conclusion elderly know how to detect the risk of early fall in the elderly.

Hypertension is a condition that is often experienced by the elderly. By increasing age resulting in increased blood pressure, the arterial wall in the elderly will experience thickening which results in the accumulation of collagen in the muscle layer. So that the blood vessels will gradually narrow and become stiff . To avoid or reduce the risk of collagen and atherosclerosis accumulation which is one of the causes of hypertension, regular exercise is needed. Elderly gymnastics is a series of regular and directed and planned tones of movement that are followed by the elderly in the form of physical exercises that affect the physical abilities of the elderly which will help the body stay fit and stay fresh. It keeps bones strong and helps eliminate free radicals wandering in the body and can flex blood vessels. This research is a kind of quasi-experimental research with a pre and post test without control design. This research was conducted in Darussalam, Aceh Besar. Blood pressure is measured using a sphygmomanometer, a statistical test used by Non-parametric. To see blood pressure before and after elderly exercise using the t-test. After doing elderly gymnastics for six times in 2 weeks, there are differences in the value of blood pressure in the elderly before and after elderly gymnastics with a p-value of 0.000. Thus, it is expected that elderly gymnastics can be used as an alternative nursing action in handling hypertension, especially in the elderly. Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of the major health problems that require special attention. Cupping therapy is a process to remove dirty blood from the body through the skin surface. Cupping is an alternative to lower blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of therapy bruise to the decrease of blood pressure in hypertensive clients. This research is taking pre-experimental one group pretest-post test design. The sample was selected based on inclusion criteria using accidental sampling with total respondent 14 people. Here is the independent variable and dependent variable bleed therapy is to decrease blood pressure. Collect data by observation. Collecting and using data pengolahahan T test with a significant α ≤ 0.05. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in blood pressure between pre-test and post-test for systolic blood pressure decreased by an average of 22.857 mmHg and pre-test and post-test diastolic blood pressure by an average of 21.429 mmHg and testing with the T test indicates p = 0001 and 0003 (α <0.05). It can be concluded that there are significant bruise therapy to decrease blood pressure in hypertension patients. Doing the right skin bruise location will be on the mast cell, which will produce substances such as serotonin, histamine, bradykinin, slow-reacting substance, Nitric Oxide (NO) and endorphins. These substances will make repairs and reduce the capillary pressure darah.Hasilnya relaxing effect on muscle and vasodilatation of blood vessels, and eventually the blood pressure decrease. Needs further research with more respondents and considers factors - confounding factor in research. With this result can bleed into one alternative way of treatment of hypertension

Title: Development of Inclusive Hanger Design to Facilitate Clothes Drying Activities Laundry activities, including drying are still recommended to be done by the elderly independently. However, the decline in the physical condition of the elderly, including a decrease in the balance of body position, cannot be avoided. In the observation at the GKJ Gondokusuman nursing home, the drying place is uses a rope on the roof or pole that is quite high from the reach of the elderly hand. When drying clothes, the elderly must stretch their arms and tiptoe because of the differences in height of the clothesline. This condition can increase the risk of accidents for the elderly who lose balance. This study aims to develop a product to dry the laundry and reduce the distance between the users with a high clothesline. This product development was using design research and product design. The research method was based in ergonomics knowledge through an inclusive design approach. The techniques used were behavioral observation, assessment of body activities, like Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Entire Body Assignment (REBA). The results of the NBM stated that the elderly experienced pain in the right side of the body, while the results of the REBA assessment showed a score of 10. This condition showed that the elderly posture while drying still had a high risk of injury. As the results of these studies, the product is designed with a function to hang laundry that make user's body position more balanced because there is no need to stretch arms and tiptoe too high. Users also easily put clothes on the hanger because there is a grip feature for both hands.

Abstract The mandible like other bones of the body has a series of anatomical landmarks that can serve as radiographic indicators. Using these indicators it is possible to evaluate changes in bone with respect to its quantity or quality by different methods of taking images. Osteoporosis is a significant problem of the elderly, especially postmenopausal women. The aim of this study was to determine the thickness of the mandiublar angular cortex on the right and left sides of women as well as bone resorption in different age groups using panoramic radiography. One hundred female patients were selected from applicants for panoramic radiological services who did not have a history of systemic bone disease, hysterectomy, or taking hormonal supplements. Using a questionnaire, the selected subjects were asked questions about their education, job, marital status, number of pregnancies, age, menopausal status, and history of backaches. After statistical calculation it became clear an increase in age will increase bone resorption, and this process is related to a decrease in the sexual hormones of women. Higher bone resorption was detected in women with a higher number of pregnancies. Also, the higher educated the patient, the less bone resorption. Women with a background of backaches had more bone resorption to those who did not have this backache background. Finally, it was recognized that it would be possible to clear the quality dimension of the process of mandibular bone resorption. Citation Ardakani FE, Niafar N. Introduction. Lethal exanguination due to haemorrhage from ruptured peripheral varicose veins of the lower leg usually in the elderly are exceptionally rare in clinical, and particularly in forensic medicine. In persons with varicosities there are two types of lower leg ulcers (acute perforated and chronic) that can be associated with spontaneous bleeding. Ulcer exanguination can occur spontaneously or after a minor injury. Injuries in the ulcer region are rarer. Case Outline. We present a case of fatal exsanguination due to a ruptured varicose vein in a 77-year-old woman. The body was found on the porch floor, beside a sink, lying on the back, with bent knees, so that the lower legs were almost in the standing position, with the feet in a pool of blood. The entire interior of the house floor was covered with various bloodstains; blood-drops in form of spilling and spattering, foot-prints, as well as larger pools of blood. Death was attributed to massive external haemorrhage due to the acute perforated ulcer of the right lower leg with the rupture of the varicose vein wall surface along the entire depth. Conclusion. Although death due to haemorrhage from ruptured peripheral varicose veins is an uncommon complication of this disease, it should be taken into consideration by the forensic medicine examiner. In such cases autopsy should determine both the origin of bleeding (varicosities and venous wall damage) and other underlying conditions, primarily ischemic cardiac disease. To resolve such cases, full cooperation with investigators and police is necessary.

Balance exercise is one of the exercises that can be applied to the elderly. This exercise is a physical activity that is done to improve the stability of the body by increasing muscle strength in the legs. Muscle strength is a driving force for movement in completing tasks and can reduce falls especially for the elderly. A fall event is an event reported by a patient or witness, who sees an incident resulting in a person suddenly lying / sitting on the lower floor / place with or without loss of consciousness or injury. This type of research is quantitative, with a Quasi Experimental research design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design approach. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling: purposive sampling with a sample of 34 respondents. data analysis techniques using paired t test. Based on the results of multivariate analysis paired t test on the fall event variable for the treatment group, the results obtained p value 0.006 <0.05. it means that there is a significant effect after being given the treatment of physical exercise balance and muscle strength on the incidence of falls in the elderly. Whereas in the control group, the result was p value 0.018 <0.05. it means that there is a significant effect after being given another treatment, namely gymnastics in the elderly towards the event of falling in the elderly. Balance and muscle strength training is very effective in reducing the number of falls in the elderly. Whereas the control group given elderly exercise also had the effectiveness to reduce the incidence of falls in the elderly. In an effort to reduce the incidence of falls, the elderly can do physical exercise balance and muscle strength regularly
