Abstract Background Routine Health Information Systems (RHIS) of low-income countries function below the globally expected standard, characterised by the production and use of poor-quality data, or the non-use of good quality data for informed decision making. This has negatively influenced the health service delivery and uptake. This study focuses on identifying the factors associated with the performance of RHIS of the health facilities (HF) in Yaoundé, so as to guide targeted RHIS strengthening. Methods A HF-based cross-sectional study in the 6 health districts (HDs) of Yaoundé was conducted. HFs were chosen using stratified sampling with probability proportional to size per HD. Data were collected, entered into Microsoft Excel 2013 and analysed with IBM- SPSS version 25. Consistency of the questionnaire was measured using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Pearson’s chi-square (and Fisher exact where relevant) tests were used to establish relationships between qualitative variables. Associations were further quantified using unadjusted Odd ratio (OR) for univariate analysis and adjusted odds ratio (aOR) for multivariate analysis with 95% confidence interval (CI). A p-value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results Of 111 selected HFs; 16 (14.4%) were public and 95 (85.6%) private. Respondents aged 24–60 years with an average of 38.3 ± 9.3 years; 58 (52.3%) male and 53(47.7%) female. Cronbach’s alpha was 0.96 (95%CI: 0.95–0.98, p < 0.001), proving that the questionnaire was reliable in measuring RHIS performances. At Univariate level, the following factors were positively associated with good performances: supportive supervision (OR = 3.03 (1.1, 8.3); p = 0.02), receiving feedback from hierarchy (OR = 3.6 (0.99, 13.2); p = 0.05), having received training on health information (OR = 5.0 (1.6, 16.0); p = 0.003), and presence of a performance evaluation plan (OR = 3.3 (1.4, 8.2), p = 0.007). At multivariate level, the only significantly associated factor was having received training on health information (aOR = 3.3 (1.01, 11.1), p = 0.04). Conclusions Training of health staff in the RHIS favors RHIS good performance. Hence, emphasis should be laid on training and empowering staff, frequent and regular RHIS supervision, and frequent and regular feedback mechanisms, for an efficient RHIS strengthening in Yaoundé.

El estudio de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la gestión del conocimiento en la productividad de la empresa CONSTRUCTORA PBG E.I.R.L. San Martín de Porres, 2020. El tipo de investigación fue de tipo básica, diseño correlacional, transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 70 colaboradores, con una población censal de 70 trabajadores, con instrumentos validados por expertos y una alta fiabilidad. La escala de percepción de la gestión del conocimiento, para el presente estudio presentó confiabilidad con Alfa de Cronbach de 0.788 indicando una fuerte consistencia interna, y la Escala de productividad, para la investigación presentó validez de confiabilidad con Alfa de Cronbach de 0.891 indicando una fuerte consistencia interna. Los resultados  descriptivos de la  variable gestión del conocimiento  según los trabajadores el 35.7% lo considera deficiente, el 42.9% los considera regular y el 21.4% es considerado como eficiente; en la dimensión Creación del conocimiento, el 28.6% lo considera deficiente, el 50.0% los considera regular y el 21.4% es considerado como eficiente; en la dimensión Transferencia del conocimiento el 25.7% lo considera deficiente, el 45.7% los considera regular y el 28.6% es considerado como eficiente; en la dimensión Aplicación del conocimiento el 28.6% lo considera deficiente, el 42.9% los considera regular y el 28.6% es considerado como eficiente. Los resultados nos indicaron la gestión del conocimiento se relaciona con la productividad se relacionan moderadamente con un (Rho 0,622 y p-valor 0,000)   The research study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge management on the productivity of the company CONSTRUCTORA PBG E.I.R.L. San Martín de Porres, 2020. The type of research was basic, correlational, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 70 collaborators, with a census population of 70 workers, with instruments validated by experts and high reliability. The knowledge management perception scale for the present study presented reliability with Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.788 indicating strong internal consistency, and the Productivity Scale, for the investigation, presented reliability validity with Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.891 indicating strong internal consistency. The descriptive results of the knowledge management variable according to the workers, 35.7% consider it deficient, 42.9% consider it regular and 21.4% consider it efficient; in the Knowledge creation dimension, 28.6% consider it deficient, 50.0% consider it regular and 21.4% consider it efficient; In the knowledge transfer dimension, 25.7% consider it deficient, 45.7% consider it regular and 28.6% consider it efficient; In the Knowledge Application dimension, 28.6% consider it deficient, 42.9% consider it regular and 28.6% consider it efficient. The results indicated that knowledge management is related to productivity and is moderately related to a (Rho 0.622 and p-value 0.000)

Abstract BackgroundIn Tanzania, 27.1% of all women of reproductive age are currently using modern contraception, and 16.8% have an unmet need for family planning. We therefore examined factors associated with family planning uptake after giving birth in two regions of Tanzania.MethodsSub-analysis of a cross-sectional household survey conducted in April 2016 in Mara and Kagera regions in Tanzania. A total of 1184 women aged 15-49 years, who had given birth less than two years prior to the survey were included. Logistic regression mixed effect modelling was used to examine factors associated with family planning uptake. Univariate analysis was used to present crude effects of covariates, followed by stepwise forward selection to build a multiple logistic regression model. A p-value ≥ 0.20 was applied as the criterion to retain a variable into the model.ResultsAmong 1184 women within two years after giving birth, 393 (33.2%) used family planning methods. After adjusting for (1) age, (2) level of education, (3) living in union, (4) being accompanied to ANC by a partner and (5) being able to mention at least one method, factors independently associated with family planning uptake included: (1) having discussed family planning with the partner (aOR 2.90; 95% CI 1.88-4.49), (2) having been counselled on family planning during ANC (aOR 2.15; 95% CI 1.48-3.13), (3) having discussed family planning with a community health worker (aOR 3.32; 95% CI 1.91-5.77), (4) having discussed family planning with a facility health care worker (aOR 1.79; 95% CI 1.22-2.62), (5) having primary or higher educational level (aOR 1.66; 95% CI 1.01-2.273) and (6) being in union (aOR 1.86; 95% CI 1.02-3.42).ConclusionSupportive constitutes including educational interaction with facility and community health workers, as well as having a supportive partner are facilitators to increased uptake of family planning among women in Tanzania

Background: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychological disorder caused by uncommon occurrences such as threats or catastrophic events. Women are particularly susceptible to developing PTSD, as they have a range of threat perceptions. Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of PTSD on women survivor of the earthquake in the Sigi Biromaru sub-district of Central Sulawesi. Methods: This was a descriptive study conducted using a cross-sectional design. The population for this study were housewives who have been displaced by the earthquake and are currently residing in temporary shelters (Huntara) in a village located in the Sigi Biromaru sub-district. The instrument used in this study was the PTSD measurement questionnaire sheet. It was conducted from March to April 2020 and included a total of 115 participants. Univariate analysis was used to determine the respondents’ characteristics, including their age, education, occupation, income, and a description of the PTSD condition. Results: The results show that the majority of respondents experienced severe PTSD (70.43%). Most of the respondents (35.65%) were between the ages of 37 and 46, were senior high school graduates (40%), were unemployed (74%), and had earnings of < 2,500,000 (85.22%). Three variables that affect PTSD are education with a p-value of 0.03 < 0.05, job/occupation with a p-value of 0.02 < 0.05, and income with a p-value of 0.03 < 0.05. Conclusion: Women who are elderly, have a low level of education, are unemployed, and have low income are more vulnerable to experiencing PTSD.

IntroductionPerson-centred maternity care (PCMC), which refers to care that is respectful and responsive to women’s preferences needs, and values, is core to high-quality maternal and child health. Provider-reported PCMC provision is a potentially valid means of assessing the extent of PCMC and contributing factors. Our objectives are to assess the psychometric properties of a provider-reported PCMC scale, and to examine levels and factors associated with PCMC provision.MethodsWe used data from two cross-sectional surveys with 236 maternity care providers from Ghana (n=150) and Kenya (n=86). Analysis included factor analysis to assess construct validity and Cronbach’s alpha to assess internal consistency of the scale; descriptive analysis to assess extent of PCMC and bivariate and multivariable linear regression to examine factors associated with PCMC.FindingsThe 9-item provider-reported PCMC scale has high construct validity and reliability representing a unidimensional scale with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.72. The average standardised PCMC score for the combined sample was 66.8 (SD: 14.7). PCMC decreased with increasing report of stress and burnout. Compared with providers with no burnout, providers with burnout had lower average PCMC scores (β: −7.30, 95% CI:−11.19 to –3.40 for low burnout and β: −10.86, 95% CI: −17.21 to –4.51 for high burnout). Burnout accounted for over half of the effect of perceived stress on PCMC.ConclusionThe provider PCMC scale is a valid and reliable measure of provider self-reported PCMC and highlights inadequate provision of PCMC in Kenya and Ghana. Provider burnout is a key driver of poor PCMC that needs to be addressed to improve PCMC.

ABSTRACT Abnormal leucorrhea discharge is characterized by whitish discharge in large quantities. In addition, the mucus is white yellowish or greenwish and has a pungent odor and is very itchy and painful. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence af abnormal leucorrhea discharge in young gils in the class X SMA Sandika Sukajadi Banyuasin Year 2014. This study uses the total populatoin of the cross-sectional approach. The population in this study are all young women inthe class X SMA Sandika Sukajadi Banyuasin Year 2014. This research was conducted in January-March 2014. Samples were taken from the entire population. Analysis using statistical  test Chi- Square. Results of univariate analysis, showed that respondents abnormal leucorrhea discharge as much as 10 respondents (33,3%) was smaller than that of respondents who are not abnormal leucorrhea discharge as much as 20 respondents (66,7%). That respondents with good knowledge of 7 respondents (23,3%) smaller compared with poor knowledge of as many as 23 respondents (76,7%). Which uses as much pantyliner 9 respondents (30%) smaller compared with those who did not use a pantyliner as many as 21 respondents (70%). Feminine hygiene and tthe use of a total of 14 respondens (46,7%) smaller comappred with those who did not use feminine hygine as much as 16 respondents ( 53,3%). So the bivariate analysis showed no significant relationship between knowledge of the occurence of abnormal leucrrheal dicharge with a p value = 0,002, no significant association between the use pantyliner eith abnormal leucorrhea discharge even with p value = 0,0002. And there is a relationshp between the incidence of female cleaners abnormal leucorrhea discharge with a p value = 0,001. Advice for health personnel to seek and improve health health education about abnormal leucorrhea discharge.     ABSTRAK Keputihan Abnormal adalah keputihan yang tandai dengan  keluarnya lendir dalam jumlah banyak, berwarna putih kekuningan sampai kehijauan dan memiliki bau yang sangat menyengat yang disertai rasa gatal dan nyeri pada daerah kewanitaan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian keputihan abnormal pada remaja putri dikelas X SMA Sandika Sukajadi Banyuasin Tahun 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode total populasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu semua remaja putri dikelas X SMA Sandika Sukajadi Banyuasin Tahun 2014. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Maret 2014. Sampel penelitian diambil dari seluruh populasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Chi – Square. Hasil analisis univariat, menunjukkan bahwa responden yang keputihan abnormal sebanyak 10 responden (33,3%) lebih kecil di banding dengan responden yang tidak keputihan abnormal sebanyak 20 responden (66,7%). bahwa responden dengan  pengetahuan baik sebanyak 7 reponden (23,3%) lebih kecil di banding dengan pengetahuan yang kurang baik sebanyak 23 responden (76,7%). yang menggunaan pantyliner sebanyak 9 reponden (30%) lebih kecil di banding dengan responden yang tidak menggunakan pantyliner sebanyak 21 responden (70%). dan yang menggunakan pembersih kewanitaan sebanyak 14 reponden (46,7%) lebih kecil di banding dengan responden yang tidak menggunakan pembersih kewanitaan sebanyak 16 responden (53,3%). sehingga analisis bivariat menunjukkan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dengan kejadian keputihan abnormal dengan P value = 0,002, ada hubungan yang bermakna antara penggunaan pantyliner dengan kejadian keputihan abnormal dengan P value = 0,002.dan ada hubungan antara penggunaan pembersih kewanitaan dengan kejadian keputihan abnormal dengan P value= 0,001 .Saran bagi tenaga kesehatan untuk mengupayakan dan meningkatkan penyuluhan kesehatan tentang keputihan abnormal.

ABSTRACT Introduction In case of internal disasters, such as fire in hospitals, health services to the community are severely hampered with the additional morbidity of victims, such as employees and visitors present when the disaster strikes. Risk assessment and fire preparedness are most crucial proactive measures to prevent fire disasters and minimize the loss in a hospital; however, scanty studies are available on this topic. Materials and methods This cross-sectional study was conducted at a multispecialty hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra (India), during March. April 2014. Fire-Safety Preparedness Framework (FSPF) was designed with four domains (risk and vulnerability assessment, response mechanisms and strategies, preparedness plan and information management) for evaluation of fire safety preparedness of hospital employees. Baseline variables were summarized; instrument was tested for reliability using Cronbach's alpha and content validity through review by experts. The number of correct responses for each question was further analyzed across the type of employee. Results The instrument showed high reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.89, p-value. 0.01) and content validity. A total of 207 employees (mean age 32) 8.3 years, 63% females) consented and participated in the study. Out of 20 questions, awareness was high (90%) only for three questions from Response mechanism and strategies-domain. For the remaining questions, awareness was moderate to low. The awareness varied highly with the type of employee. Conclusion The FSPF is a reliable tool for application in the Indian context for hospital employees. Disaster preparedness training and drill need to involve employees from all departments as awareness levels varied highly with type of employee. Background: The distribution of human parvovirus B19 (HPV B19) infection is ubiquitous and occurs worldwide. The virus has high tropism to red blood cells progenitor`s cells leading to temporary infection of bone marrow and transient arrest of erythropoiesis. People with frequent episodes of haemolytic anaemia including sickle cell disease (SCD) and thalassemia are at increased risk of infection. This study aimed at assessing prevalence and factors associated with HPV B19 infections among hospitalized SCD patients. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional hospital-based study among 329 SCD patients hospitalized at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH). HPV B19 was detected using RT-PCR. Haematological and Chemistry tests were done using Sysmex XT2000i and Chemistry analyser respectively. Results: The prevalence of HPV B19 among hospitalized 329 SCD patients was 29%. The median age for hospitalized SCD patients with HPV B19 was 15 years (IQR; 7-22), no variation of prevalence with age. In multivariate logistic regression model, HPV B19 infection was associated with pain (OR=4.28, 95%CI: 1.20–15.19; p=0.025), low neutrophil counts (OR=0.57,95%CI: 0.35–0.92, p=0.022) and MCH (OR=0.92, 95%CI: 0.85–0.99; p=0.033). In univariate analysis, HIV infection was slightly higher in SCD patients infected with HPVB19 (exact p-value=0.083). Conclusion: The prevalence of HPV B19 among hospitalized SCD patients at MNH was high. SCD patients with HPV B19 were more likely to present with pain, low neutrophils levels and MCH. HIV infection might be associated with high risk of HPV infection in SCD patients, however this requires further investigation.

<p><em>Indonesian is the 4th largest country in the world whose in habitants suffer from gout. In Indonesian, it is estimated that uric acid occur in 840 people every 100,000 people. </em><em>Disease of gout is one of the degenerative disease. One of the signs of the disease gout is the increase in the levels of uric acid in the blood (hiperurisemia). Factors related to the incidence of hiperurisemia is sex, IMT, intake </em><em>carbohydrate s</em><em>and intake purin. Purin intake is a risk factor most strongly associated with the incidence of hiperurisemia. This study used a cross-sectional research design cross method i.e. research to study the dynamics of the correlation between two variables. Research carried out in the Puskesmas Kebun Sikolos in August 2016. The population in this study amounts to 100 people. Sampling techniques in "accidental sampling", with a sample of as many as 20 people. Data processing is carried out using the SPSS program with computerized analysis univariate and bivariat, statistical tests used was chi-square. The results of the univariate analysis showed that (65%) of respondents-sex women, (55%) of respondents experiencing obesity and (55%) of the respondents did not suffer from hypertension. Bivariat analysis p value = 0.019 means there is a relationship between the sex with uric acid, and p value = 0.025 means there is a connection between obesity with uric acid, and p value = 0.337 which means there is no relationship between hypertension with the occurrence of uric acid. Thus the factors associated with the incidence of gout in the elderly is gender and obesity. So from that</em><em> recommended that health workers improve outreach program again about the factors associated with the incidence of gout in the elderly.</em></p>
