The purpose of the research is to know the context, input, process and product evaluation on the Social Internship Program (Kukerta) of IAIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi Students by using Participatory Action Research (PAR) system. The research is conducted in four locations of  IAIN Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi students’ Kukerta in first period of 2013; Lubuk Terap, Sengeti Kecamatan Sekernan, unas, and Simpang Tiga Sipin by using questionnaire. All students of Kukerta in these 4 locations, consists of 51 people become the sample of this study. The finding of the study showed that first, context evaluation of PAR system Kukerta programs is actually having many deficiencies and weakness in both determining the needs as well as the purpose of Kukerta program. Therefore, it needs some improvements or revision. Second, input evaluation of  PAR system Kukerta shows some weakness from the students and the internship supervisors/ advisors. Both students and internship supervisors have to be firstly provided by training on  PAR system Kukerta. Third, process evaluation on the program is also lack of the relevant activities towards students’ needs and program realization. Fourth, product evaluation reveals that there is no significant result of the program, physically or non-physically. It can be recommended that the program can be continued with some improvements and revision on its implementation. Copyright © 2015 by Al-Ta'lim All right reserved

Evaluation of training program is made to establish the achievement of program objectives and to provide recommendations for program improvements. In this article, use of the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product) evaluation model in training programs is discussed. It is an evaluation research, with a descriptive quantitative approach involving 16 training program participants as research subjects. The data collection techniques were based on questionnaires as the main instrument, with interview guides and observation guidelines as supporting instruments. The data analysis was made by comparing the scores obtained with the ideal score and multiplying by 100%; the results of these calculations were then grouped into a number of criteria that had been established. The results of the study indicate that the context dimension consisting of training objectives, training needs assessment, and state agency program organizers obtained a PE (Percentage of Effectiveness) score of 75.04%, placing it in the "fair" criterion. In the input dimension, consisting of participant description , instructor condition, infrastructure, training curriculum and instructional media, the PE score was 79.44% again in the "fair" criterion. In the process dimension, comprising lecture method, discussion method, demonstration method, question and answer method, practice method, field visiting method and evaluation of learning outcomes, the PE score obtained was 78.75%, which was also in the "fair" criterion. Finally, in the product dimension of knowledge aspect, attitude aspect and skill aspect, the PE score was 82.29%, in the “good" criterion. Based on the results of the dimension evaluation, the total PE score obtained was 78.88%, or overall in the "fair" criterion. It can be concluded that in general the execution of this training program was successful, so it is recommended that similar programs be conducted again, with some improvements.

Abstract Background: Education & Training Centre for Public Healthcare of the National Medical Centre plays a key role in providing continuing professional development (CPD) to 221 public health and medical institutions in South Korea. To assess the realisation of the Center’s core value and of the intended chages, program evaluations is needed. The context, input, process, and product (CIPP) model is particularly suitable for evaluating CPD in public sector as it allows to recognise the dynamic nature of the programme environment. Methods: This research applied the CIPP model to the evaluation of CPD programmes, particulary abdominal and thracic ultrasond programme implemented in 2017 and 2018. Data were collected from 2017 to 2019. The programme and its feedback were reviewed in context evaluation. Based on this, the subsequent programme strategy was established in input evaulation. Observing the programme in real time and recording progress was followed in process evaluation. Finally, the outcome and impact of the programme were reviewed and compared with baseline data in product evaluation. Results: In context evaluation, the educational needs of the recipients of the Centre’s CPD programme, impediments that inhibit participation in education, and resources that the Centre can utilise were identified through online survey, focus group interviews, expert consultation. Through input evaluation, we identified the best alternative that satisfied all pre-selected criteria, which were responsiveness to priority system needs, potential effectiveness, fit with existing services, affordability, and administrative feasibility. Observing the programme in real time and recording progress was conducted in process evaluation and shows that the improved programme went as planned, and even had to be expanded due to increased demand. The impact of the programme was measured, interpreted, and assessed in the product evaluation. As the review committee decided that the intended change has occurred, the Centre decided to maintain the program. Conclusions: Thorough evaluations are necessary to unlock the potential benefits of CPD. The CIPP methodology is valuable to execute formative as well as summative evaluations. The CIPP model is especially useful for securing accountability data for large-scale nation-wide educational programmes supplied by public funds.
